“I’ve missed this.”
“You don’t say,” you chuckle loudly, currently bent over the pool table while Bishop slams in and out of you from behind. “We’ve only been apart for a day.”
Bishop laughs in your ear. “You say that like it’s a bad thing.”
A moan escapes your lips as he increases the pace, his thumb now circling your swollen clit. “It’s not, Obispo, but you could have at least said hello first.”
Sliding out of you, he turns you around, smiling at you before burying his head between your legs and spelling out Hello with his skilled tongue.

From these April Prompts: “Stranded”
Summary: You go on a really bad date and call your besties to save you, but they end up taking the opportunity to roast you.
A/N: First time doing a fic a day challenge!!! Let’s see how many I’ll end up doubling up on and posting some other day LOL. Enjoy the ride friends <3
Word Count: 2.3k
Warnings: All my fics are 18+ regardless of content. Cursing, some light joking, I don’t think I’d classify it as angst.
Mayans Taglist: @drabbles-mc (Not sure how many individual Mayans fics i’ll have in the future but happy to add anyone to any potential future fics!)

You felt like the phone was mocking you at this point. By the third ring you knew he wasn’t going to answer but you still waited it through, not once but four times. Time was ticking, you didn’t have the luxury of waiting for him to pick up. Your date, your very shitty date was waiting a mere 20 feet away outside the bathroom at your empty table for you to come back. Yes, empty. You hadn’t even gotten to be served your drink order yet and you already knew this date was a dud.
Maneuvering out of the bathroom window was an easy enough solution, one you would have easily relied on if you weren’t carless or in the middle of El Centro. El Centro, while close enough to Santo Padre by car was 10 miles of highway that you weren’t really looking forward to walking. You cursed yourself for not getting your car fixed this past weekend, leaving you in the hands of the random man you matched with on some stupid app tonight. Your options were bouncing back and forth in your head, you could start your trek home and keep calling in hopes of an answer, or you could just sit through what will probably be the worst date of your life.
The second option seemed bearable, but after he was discussing his 5th conspiracy theory–and keep in mind you were only 20 minutes into the date, and his constant casual sexual joke that was definitely his way of hinting at bringing you home you couldn’t listen anymore.
You thought 10 was still relatively early, especially for Angel Reyes. Him not answering could have been for a multitude of reasons but realistically you knew he was probably not the Reyes brother you should rely on. Shaking your head, you hung up after getting the voicemail again, tired of hearing the automated woman’s voice and called someone else.
Two rings. That was all it took.
“Hey, what’s up?” EZ’s voice was like a wave of relief washing over you.
“Thank God.” You mumbled as your shoulders fell in solace. “I’m stranded.” The words you spoke left a lot to be imagined.
“You okay?” His tone was tense.
“I’m on this awful fuckin’ date and I’m in the bathroom of La Resaca Seafood Bar off Rt 8 with no car and no way home except with Mr. I’ve seen Bigfoot 30 times who wants to bring me to the Polynesian Lodge tonight.”
EZ let out a chuckle before frowning his brow, “Polynesian Lodge?”
“Motel.” Your one worded answer was all EZ needed to hear to let out another laugh.
“Sounds romantic.” He was already grabbing the keys to his bike.
“Ezekial Reyes. Your brother is already on my shit list. I called him 4 times to save me from this mess but no answer. Do not make me put you on my shit list too.” The desperation in your voice came through as you started to climb up on the toilet paper dispenser to get a better footing to escape through the window.
“Well, that was your second mistake, you know I’m the more reliable Reyes.” The door to EZ’s trailer was closing and he was turning around to lock it as he stayed on the phone.
“Wait” you paused, now standing on the dispenser that was secured into the wall of concrete. “What’s my first mistake?”
The smile on EZ’s face would have earned him a smack upside the head if you were with him in person. “Going on a tinder date with the guy who uses a photoshopped picture of his head on Captain America’s body.”
You were flabbergasted that he knew who you were out with, you didn’t think either of the Reyes boys listened to you when you talked about your matches on Tinder. But you should’ve known EZ would have put two and two together.
“I thought it was FUNNY, like a joke, I didn’t think he was serious about it.” You argued in your defense. “Also, there’s a whole theory out there that the nerdy guys are the ones to scoop up.”
“So tell me about Bigfoot.” EZ was now on his bike, leaning back soaking in every moment of this.
“EZ.” Your voice was firm.
The laugh EZ let out was straight from his belly, he was enjoying this too much.
“Yo E!” Angel’s voice could be heard from the background.
“Is that Angel? Tell him he’s an asshole and he should check his phone.” At this point you were already one leg out of the window when you heard the bathroom door handle turn as the door opened.
In one ear, the one with the phone attached you heard EZ call out. “You’re an asshole and you should check your phone.”
In the other ear, the startled voice of your waitress rang. “Oh my god.” She stopped in her tracks, hand being raised to clamp her chest as the scene of you half dangling out of a window was the last thing she expected.
“E, Seafood off Route 8, please hurry.” With that, you hung up and climbed down quickly to be face to face with your server.
“That bad?” After taking in the situation she understood what was happening.
“Very.” You nodded your head. “I need to stall for like 10 minutes before my ride gets here, do you think you could mention that I left my phone in here when you come back to take our order? That way I have a logical reason to escape through the bathroom window?”
“Sure.” She nodded in acceptance as you smiled and thanked her before moving past her to the bathroom door. “The kitchen exit is right next to the bathroom door, just go through there.” The waitress turned to face you, giving you an easier out instead of the acrobatics. “No need to do whatever the fuck that was, again.” She pointed at the window and retreated into a stall.
Meanwhile, as you suffered through the agony of 10 long minutes of this horrible date. EZ and Angel were coming to your rescue, sort of.
“Ay, what’s with the name calling? and why do I have so many missed calls from Y/N?” Angel trekked over to EZ’s trailer from the clubhouse as he looked at his phone.
EZ had hung up the phone before he waved it up in the air at Angel. “Just got off the phone with her, she’s stranded.”
“Stranded? The fuck?” Angel perked up just like EZ had when you spoke those words to him.
“Bad date. I’m gonna go pick her up if you wanna come. Think you were her first choice anyways.” EZ laughed as he placed his helmet over his head.
Angel let out a chuckle, relaxing his shoulders from the tension. “I never answer my phone, don’t know why the fuck she’d call me.” Despite his lack of empathy, Angel was making his way over to his bike to follow EZ to save you from your date.
As the two waited at the light that was mere seconds from the restaurant, Angel called over to EZ.
“Yo!” Angel got EZ’s attention. “Was it that captain america guy? Didn’t we tell her he was a lame?”
EZ couldn't help but smirk at Angel’s recollection of the night you three spent together just hanging at your place. If Angel remembered it, it was obvious you were only choosing to hear what you wanted that night. “Yea, you should tell her when we see her, I think she’ll appreciate the advice.” EZ set Angel up for disaster later, knowing it’d be pure entertainment for him.
Back at that restaurant, you had just managed to make it to the entrance of the kitchen when you heard the rumbling of not one, but two motorcycles. “Oh thank God.” You mumbled as you burst through the kitchen swinging door and ran like you knew your way around. You pretty quickly found the exit doors and pushed through them, offering no explanation to the staff who was back there. Angel was the first bike you saw since he was closest to you. Immediately, you ran up to him but not without a few choice words.
“Fuck you, Reyes!” You yelled out at him as you approached his bike.
“Hey!” Both brothers yelled simultaneously, EZ leaned forward so you could see him a little further out past Angel.
“You want to be stranded or you want a rescue?” Angel held out a helmet giving you the choice.
Begrudgingly you grabbed it, putting it on over your head and quickly throwing your leg over the back of his bike and scooting closer to him as you got situated.
“Thank you.” The words were mumbled, he laughed as you said them, knowing it was hard for you. The only reason you knew he laughed was because your hands had come across the front of his torso to grip onto him for the ride and you felt the shake of his stomach under his kutte.
He took off immediately, knowing you were ready to go just by your hold on him. EZ wasn’t far behind at all. You pulled up to the same red light they had just been at previously, when Angel looked over his shoulder to talk to you.
“You didn’t eat, right?”
You shook your head to answering knowing your voice would he drowned out by the engine. “You want Jack in the Box?” He was still looking over at you but his head nodded towards the fast food restaurant that was right in front of them. “My treat. To make it up to you or whatever.” His eyes rolled waiting for your answer.
“Alright, yea, I’m fuckin’ starved.” You answered and looked over to EZ to point to the drive through sign to show him where you were headed.
The group of you pulled in and ordered through the drive through since inside was closed, no one ever talks about the awkwardness of ordering drive through on a motorcycle, you had learned new ways to balance things and about compartments that you had no idea existed on the bike. The three of you parked the bikes and walked over to the front of the building. EZ was quick to throw his arm around you, drink in hand as it dangled over your right shoulder.
“Rough night?” A grin grew on his face.
“You’re the worst.” You pushed him off you and made your way over to the front parking space where the cement parking block served as your seat and your laps as your dinner table.
“It ain’t no rescara seafood but I hope you like it.” Angel teased as he brought his drink to his lips.
“I’m never going to hear the end of this, am I?” Your head dropped forward in defeat.
“I’m not sure why you decided to go out with Captain America wannabe.” Angel was now devouring into his food and said his last sentence as he had a mouthful of food.
“Yea cause I surround myself with men who are catches.” Sarcasm dripped off uour voice and a frown filled your face as you watched him eat.
EZ perked up waiting for the other shoe to drop, knowing it was seconds before you put two and two together.
“and how the fuck did you kno—“ your head snapped to EZ who was sitting on the same cement block but to your left. “you fuckin’ told him!”
Backfired. EZ quickly raised his hands in surrender. “I said nothing he just paid attention when you told us.” He shrugged.
“You expect me to believe that?” Your frown deepened.
Angel was now sporting the Reyes shit eating grin knowing he had gotten away with his comment.
“Alright, seriously. What was so bad about the date?” Angel asked curiously.
“What you wanna take notes for yourself?” You weren’t backing down off the defense.
“I think he’s being genuine.” EZ spoke up with a shocking display of defense for his brother.
“Sorry.” You apologized quickly to both of them and took a deep breath. “It was just weird. A lot of weird topics of conversation and he wanted to take me back to the Polynesian Lodge.” Angel looked at you confused and before he could ask you responded. “Motel.”
Angel nodded in understanding, finishing off his food and grabbing his drink as he rested his arms on his bent knees.
“Thanks for picking me up, guys.” Your voice softened as you spoke to them. “I owe you.” Your head swiveled to look at both of them.
“Look at this bozo.” Angel said as he nodded towards a man wearing a full 3 piece suit walking out of the convenience store next to the fast food building.
“Oh my god.” You quickly hid your face as best as you could with your hand, not having much of an option as you were sitting in an open and empty lot.
EZ glanced to the man and then to you, putting two and two together. The laugh that left his mouth was impossible to recreate, it was so genuine and loud that it caused the man to look over at the group of you.
“Fuck he lookin’ at?” Angel made a face.
“Its HIM.” You gritted your teeth together and spoke low. You peaked to see him staring at you three.
Angel was quick to change his face, his hand raising to cheers the man with his soda, EZ doing the same but with less enthusiasm and more of a neutral face.
“Have a good night, man.” EZ spoke with a normal voice, it wasn’t what you wished happened but the situation was unique to say the least. But then Angel had to speak up.
“You’ll get ‘em next time, Cap!!”
With that you completely melted into the ground of the parking lot, wishing you could disappear from this stupid little area ofd route 8.
“Next time, I’m walking home.”

Bishop knew you were smart, sometimes even too smart for your own good, and you could read people without effort. You had him all figured out just after your first meeting, which irritated him back then. He knew exactly what he was getting into, yet he still couldn’t let you walk away from him.
The moment he crossed the doorway, you were already staring at him with squinted eyes from your comfortable blanket nest on the couch. He didn’t even notice you were there until you spoke up.
“You’re upset,” you stated, closing the book you were reading. “What happened?”
Bishop stopped in the corridor, his brows raised at your words, letting you know you saw right through him.
“Jesus, woman, let me at least take my shoes off.” He scowled, challenging you to pry any further while unlacing his boots and putting them away.
“Hey, I’m very patient.” You ignored the unpleasant tone of his voice, sitting up and curling up your legs so you could rest your chin on your knees. You waited in silence so he could make his way toward you.
Bishop sat down beside you with a tired sigh, rubbing his temples. “Do we have to do this now? It’s late. You should be sleeping, cariña.”
It was well past midnight, and you would usually already be sprawled out on that couch, having fallen asleep while you waited for him to come home. Today it was different, though. You had a feeling that something terrible had happened, and it didn’t let you close your eyes even for a minute. So you spent the night reading books, waiting patiently for your husband to return so you could see with your own eyes that he was unharmed and well.
You watched him closely, your features softening into a half-smile at the term of endearment. You reached over to squeeze his hand reassuringly, and he let you, marveling at the feeling of your skin on his.
“Couldn’t really sleep without you next to me.”
Your words made Bishop finally look at you, his eyes staring into yours with recognition. He knew that feeling. He couldn’t fall asleep without you in bed beside him either. It just felt wrong when you weren’t there.
“I know. I’m sorry I couldn’t leave earlier,” Bishop mumbled out, raising your joined hands to leave a kiss on top of your palm.
He knew he couldn’t always be there for you. Being the club’s president was time-consuming, more than he imagined. But it was everything to him, and you understood that and never made him feel bad about not having much time to spend with you.
“It’s alright, don’t worry about it.” You propped your chin on his shoulder, covered by the club’s kutte. “Tell me what happened.”
Bishop ran his free hand through his hair, sighing yet again. He wasn’t sure how to put it into words. He never knew how to tell you about someone’s death, especially someone you had known and cared for.
“Hey, if you don’t want to, it’s okay too. But remember that you can tell me anything,” you assured, seeing the troubled expression on your husband’s face.
Your thumb brushed against his knuckles, and you could feel him relax at your touch.
After several long moments, he took another deep breath and started talking cautiously, trying to suppress the anger bubbling deep inside of him. The anger at those stupid Vatos who took his friend away for good.
“We lost Riz today,” he said finally, cutting straight to the chase.
Your eyes widened in shock. You didn’t expect it to be that serious before he told you that information. “I’m so sorry, baby,” you whispered. Your thumb brushed against his knuckles in a soothing motion.
Bishop closed his eyes, trying hard to push back the tears that threatened to spill out of his eyes. “Yeah. Me too.”
You knew Riz was a good guy and didn’t deserve to die so soon. None of the Mayans did; they were all genuinely good people, no matter how they shaped themselves to appear to others. They were like a family to you; you loved them wholeheartedly.
“What happened? Who did this?” The question was followed by a pause before you added quietly, “Are you going after them?” You held your breath as you waited for an answer, but you couldn’t help the tears that spilled down your cheeks.
Your thumb traced a few circles on the back of his hand. You could feel him shake lightly under your touch. It broke your heart to watch him in this state. It took him a minute or two before he found the strength to speak again.
“We will. The fuckers won’t know what hit them,” Bishop stated with certainty, wiping away the tears from his face with his arm. He never wanted to let anyone see him cry, yet you saw it more times than he wished you did. You were the one who taught him that it’s not a weakness to show emotions.
“Go to bed with me?” you proposed and got up from the couch, still holding his hand in yours. You didn’t comment on his decision. It wasn’t your place to say anything, especially since you didn’t have the whole picture, and it could’ve been pretty gruesome.
The man agreed wordlessly, letting you pull him to his feet and toward the door to your shared bedroom. You helped him take off his kutte, putting it on the backrest of one of the comfy chairs in the room, while Bishop got rid of his shirt and jeans, leaving him only in his boxers.
You turned the lights off before looking at your husband, who had already crawled into the bed. He smiled weakly, beckoning you closer so you could cuddle up to him like always. You obliged quickly and snuggled up to him, wrapping your arms around his torso and holding him tight. Bishop kissed your forehead, making you look up at him.
“I love you, mi rey,” you whispered as if anything louder could disturb the silence enveloping the room. You left a sweet kiss on his lips, giggling when he bit down lightly on your lower lip.
“Sleep well, mami.”

I don’t know what happened behind the scenes but i have to say the lack of Kurt Sutter’s vision in Mayans is so evident that it hurts. Despite most people i was really enjoying the first 2 seasons of the show but i must say 4th season is a wreck so far.
Also i wanna say that i am a huge SoA fan and tbh i don’t like this not so subtle, passive aggressive handling of Samcro in the show. I honestly dont know if something happened between Elgin James and Kurt Sutter but all this undertone they are using is not it. I was really enjoying watching a different kind of MC in a shared universe but the way show is handling its main characters is not making me very excited about it.

“It’s him, isn’t it?” Angel asks, feeling physically sick. He knew you and him had reached the end of the road ages ago, but he never imagined the man you’d leave him for would be a fellow Mayan.
“Yes,” you reply, warm tears streaming down your face.
You’re expecting Angel to launch at him, but all he does is turn around and storm out of the clubhouse.
“He’ll never forgive us,” You sigh, hearing him start up his bike before riding away.
Bishop pulls you closer towards him, wrapping his arms around your waist and resting his head against yours.

The group of them had potentially driven about 100 miles in the past hour and a half, listening to music, stopping on the side of the road to pee, listening to Angel bitch about how they should’ve taken their bikes, hear the clinking of Lara’s empties, watch Coco regret his decision to come, all while EZ and Frankie swooned over each other. But now, they were at what was probably one destination of many.
“You’re getting this. You’re totally getting this.” Lara held up the shirt that read “never underestimate an old man who rides a motorcycle” in a really cringey font.
“Old man?” Angel scoffed.
“I think it’s real fitting,” Coco hit Angel on the chest as he squeezed past him towards where Lara was in the aisle of the thrifted clothing store.
“Not funny,” Angel mocked.
Coco was laughing as he reached his hand out to get a sip of the pint of alcohol Lara had pulled out to drink. Just as she was grabbing it back from him after his few swigs, Coco pulled it away.
“You mind if I actually take this with me? I’ma go roam the mall or some shit while you all restock your closets,” Coco took a few steps backwards.
“You’re not slick,” Lara rolled her eyes, still with the hanger of the motorcycle shirt in her hand. As she dismissed Coco she turned back around to see Angel was gone– smart move on his part, removing himself from the situation to avoid any more slick comments but Lara didn’t care. She made her way to the register and paid for the shirt and quickly made her way back to the group that was still in the store.
“Red really ain’t your color, bro,” Angel said with a chuckle towards EZ as Frankie held up a red polo shirt against his chest.
“Good thing no one asked you,” Frankie remarked back, giving Angel a stank face.
“I have to agree with Angel, I think the forest green one would be better,” Lara spoke up as she approached. She moved behind one of the racks that stood as aisle separators and leaned her head over the metal bar and rested it on top of the hangers.
Frankie switched arms, moving the green shirt back over EZ’s chest to get a look. After a couple head tilts, she shook her head in agreement, “Lara’s right. Green it is.”
“Look at you miss fashionista,” Angel looked over at the girl. “You should shop for everyone,” he joked but instantly regretted it as the bag was being tossed into his arms.
“Yup, and it seems like I already got started,” she said as she walked by him as his shoulders dropped in defeat as he saw what she bought for him.
Before Angel could make a comment Lara was cutting him off. “C’mon, Coco took my emotional support alcohol, I need to find a place that will either let me get a replacement bottle or hold me over until I can get one.”
“You sound like you need to go to AA,” Angel said as he caught up with the girl as they exited the store. Lara stood right outside the entrance and carefully looked over each store in the strip mall, although it was dark, it still wasn’t too late so things were still open. Her eyes glossed over the ice cream shop along with the 24/7 gym, she didn’t even bother getting a look at the stores that had their lights shut off. Continuing, her eyes moved over the neon lights in the short distance a little too fast before they were jolting back as if she was rewinding a tape.
“Bingo.” She mumbled as she looked across the street at the building that was lit up in red, purple, and blue neon lights. What really caught her eye was the sign that was flashing. It wasn’t the name of the bar, it wasn’t even the sign that displayed their house beer, it had a saying on it. She squinted for a moment to get a good look at the words before smiling.
Now look, Lara was going to go across the street regardless, no matter what she had or hadn’t seen. It was a bar, they had liquor, and she needed liquor. Simple as that. But when she read the sign she knew it was meant to be.
Live a life you will remember. But tonight, live in a moment you’re probably going to forget.
She began to make her way across the street, looking back over her shoulder when she heard a car door close to see Angel now in close tow after throwing the bag from the thrift store in her car.
The bouncer at the door was a unique touch, not something she was used to back in Santo Padre, but once they both entered into the bar she got why. It was packed, the lights were bright and were definitely one of many things that brought the heat up in that place. The music was loud, but good. The atmosphere had everything going for it that would be repulsive to anyone else. But to Lara, it was inviting. The stickiness in the air from the sweat of bodies that were dancing so close, the smell of weed and alcohol was a combination she thought she was familiar with but without the mixed aroma of mixed drinks it brought a completely different vibe. There was the sound of hip hop with a touch of pop and even a little top 40 action, something she’d never hear at the clubhouse or any bar in a 40 mile radius of the clubhouse. It was new. It was fresh. It was a place where Lara could be free.
The two of them made their way to the bar, she felt herself starting to sober up and once she caught a glimpse of where the drinks were being poured, that was her first stop. As they approached, Lara saw the familiar long black hair and Mayans kutte leaning over the bar holding a green bottle of beer.
“Funny seeing you here,” Lara yelled over the music at Coco who nodded at her and Angel.
“What the fuck is this place, bro?” Angel asked Coco as he propped his elbow on the bar to Coco’s left while Lara made herself comfortable on the corner seat on Coco’s right.
“A dream.” Lara answered for Coco as she looked around before catching the bartender's attention.
“Tequila, on the rocks, two limes, keep it coming.” She yelled, placing cash down.
That first sip of her drink was like the moment she walked into the bar, shocking, warm, but most of all inviting. Lara finished the full glass just as fast as it was poured for her and was ordering another as her body mindlessly swayed to the music. The three of them sat there, silent towards each other but in the loud atmosphere of the club. Just as she was finishing her third? Maybe fourth– Lara had lost count, she clocked her best friend.
“Frankie!” Her voice echoed, which is how you knew it was a loud bellow. It alerted the two Mayans at the bar who were now joined by EZ.
“Cool place you found,” Frankie said in the girl’s ear, grabbing her friend’s drink from her hand and taking a large gulp.
“Keep it, I have another one coming, I made friends with the bartender, his name is Franky too!” Lara was yelling, not just to be heard over the bass and the crowds but because she was in fact, officially back to being drunk.
Franky, the bartender was holding up another drink and giving it to the Losa girl with a smile on his face and took the last of the cash Lara had left on the table.
“Come on, let’s go dance, I’ve been dying to,” Lara grabbed the drink and took Frankie’s hand with her free one, dragging her to the dance floor.
The girl moved to the beat of the song, her backside moving against her best friend’s front as they danced on each other. Now the stickiness of alcohol was spilled on their bodies, not just from their own glasses but others around them as well, although it could have been mixed with the stickiness of sweat as well. Lara turned around to face the girl with a laugh, letting the beat carry her away as she got low to the ground and brought herself back up. The two of them soaked up every moment of every song that kept playing. They powered through the eventual pain in their feet as they both were enjoying their time together way too much.
“I’ll be right back, I gotta pee!” Lara grabbed Frankie’s face and talked into her ear since both of their hearing now was practically gone by being so close to the speakers.
Meanwhile, back at the bar the guys were casually drinking and chatting. Coco getting more fed up by the atmosphere as time went on and more people were bumping into him causing him to spill his drink.
He cut the brothers off mid conversation. “I’m goin’ to have a smoke, can’t take this shit anymore.” The stool was being pushed out but over the sound of the DJ there was no way to hear it. Angel and EZ let the man go and brought themselves closer to the bar, turning to watch the dance floor, specifically the two girls they came here with.
“So you decide to make the move yet?” EZ spoke up with a smirk as he sipped his beer.
“Not this shit again man,” Angel whined.
“Yea, I didn’t think you’d be a coward for this long,” EZ was now enticing his brother. He expected Angel to get angry, storm away, hell, even hit him. But shockingly he didn’t.
“Alright, real question. Hypothetically.” Angel looked over at EZ as he said the last word to really drive that point home. “It’s the prez’s daughter. Ain’t no way something like that could happen.” Angel shook his head and looked forward again.
EZ took a minute to think how to reply, he wasn’t expecting Angel to want to have a real moment in the middle of this club.
“I mean, Frankie and I make it happen.” He shrugged, thinking of more to say.
“Hank and Bishop are two way different people. At the end of the day, Lara and Bishop got a lot of baggage between them and I’m not sure if I want to get in the middle of that.” Angel said. “Hypothetically.” He quickly added to his statement as he looked back over at EZ.
“Honestly, Angel. You’re already in the middle of it. Hypothetically, of course.” EZ grinned.
Angel rolled his eyes and finished his drink before pushing EZ.
“Shut the fuck up. I’ll be back I gotta take a piss.” He laughed as he retreated to the bathroom.
He opened the bathroom door and froze when he saw Lara who had been dancing in the bathroom to the music as she washed her hands.
At the sound of the music getting louder as the door opened she looked to see Angel at the door. A laugh escaped the minute she saw him, it was so ironic.
“We gotta stop meeting like this,” she chuckled as she grabbed the paper towel. She moved close to Angel, closing the space in between them, any attempt to hide or stop the tension between them was long gone on Lara’s side. Any hope of that was lost after her 6th drink.
Angel wanted to feed into it, but he wasn’t nearly as drunk and he still had a lot of hesitancy especially from just coming out of that conversation with EZ. His hand moved up and was about to cup her face but instead he fixed a stray hair and tucked it behind the girl’s ear before pushing him past her.
“I gotta take a leak.” He said perfectly spoiling the moment. Lara stood there frozen a little embarrassed at putting herself out there like that but pulled herself together and left the bathroom without another word.
“Way to go, fuck up.” Angel mumbled to himself as he was relieving himself and heard the bathroom door open and shut.
When he came back out Lara clearly decided to take her anger out on someone in the club, because he saw a bit of commotion going on and Lara was at the center of it. Surprisingly, even over the music he could hear her voice getting an attitude with some man who clearly had no issue serving it back to her.
“I don’t know who the fuck you think you are, but we told you to leave us alone,” Lara was barking at the tall man who was clearly angry at the situation or the rejection he experienced that Lara was now broadcasting to the surrounding crowd.
Angel quickly made his way over before the situation escalated and stood in between the two, looking directly at Lara.
“Yo, chill out.”
Three words. That’s all he gave Lara in this moment but his eyes were speaking more than he was.
“Nah, this guy was trying to put his hands all up on the both of us. I’m not gonna ch–”
“Lara, for the love of God, please, let’s just go to the bar and cool off.” Angel was surprisingly trying to deescalate the situation which annoyed Lara. She kept a frown on her face and gave him a stank look but had full intentions of listening to his advice and moving to the bar. She hadn’t had a refill in a while and could use one so there was that silver lining to this whole commotion. But then the guy spoke up.
“Yea, listen to your little biker bitch and move along.” The mans words were sharp and venomous, like he wanted to cut through both of them. It was honestly a stupid move, insulting the man who he didn’t know who was essentially trying to help him out.
Lara’s face grew with a smirk as she looked up at Angel, knowing how he was going to respond like they knew each other for an entire lifetime.
“See you at the car?” She laughed and began to search for Frankie’s hand.
“Yea, I’ll see you at the car.” Angel said nodding, now in a completely different headspace.
Lara began to make her way to the door, it got rather easy as everyone’s attention was now on the commotion behind them.
EZ’s eyes were glancing over to see the girl’s running to the exit and then they darted over to the commotion.
Everything was slow motion, Angel’s arm was like a slingshot, moving backwards to gain momentum and then jolting forwards to meet in line with someone’s face. EZ was going to make his way over until he saw the unlucky man who was now knocked unconscious on the ground and figured heading out was the best option.
The girls were laughing as they pulled each other out of the club at a decent speed, passing Coco who was leaned against the building smoking what was probably his 5th cigarette in a row. If they didn’t catch his attention, EZ did as he called out to them.
“What the fuck happened?!”
Before either of them could answer Angel was running out of the club.
“Go, go, go, go, go, go!!!!” He called out gaining speed. The group of them quickly piled into the car at his eagerness as well as the crowd of security that was closely behind him. They all ran across the street, it was now well into the night and there wasn’t much traffic so it was easy to escape. Coco was quick to understand and was the first in the car surprisingly, while EZ was the second. Both of them had better reflexes from all the unexpected club shit they had experienced. EZ was pulling the car out of the spot, fast but precise and slammed on the brakes to let the remaining 3 jump into the car. All of them taking the seats they had on the way down. As EZ pulled away, everyone took a second to catch their breath and look behind them to see if they were being followed. Lara was the first to let out a laugh as she saw one of the bouncers attempting to chase after them on foot.
“Faster, EZ!!!” She laughed as she opened the sunroof to plop her upper half out of.
“I”m trying Lara but you don’t exactly drive a sports car!”
Lara stuck her middle fingers up at the bouncer and her tongue out of her mouth once she knew there was no way he would catch up.
“See ya never, motherfucker!” She yelled followed by a scream to let the wind take her voice high and her hair shook out.
Angel had to laugh at the girl, she was crazy and if anyone could appreciate that it was him.
“What the fuck was that?” Coco asked the boys as Lara re-situated herself in the vehicle.
“Some motherfucker wanted to get mouthy,” Angel offered up an explanation.
“So Angel knocked him out.” Frankie smiled and turned her head at the whole back seat.
“What a rush.” Lara smiled and settled into her seat.
“Yea, let’s never do it again.” EZ said with a laugh since most of the weight was on him to get them out of there.
The group pulled back into the clubhouse a few hours later, half of them were asleep, but Lara stayed wide awake. Her brain was thinking about everything, even when it would wander off into other thoughts, it’d always find its way back to the two things weighing heaviest on her. The Calaveras and Bishop.
“We’re back,” EZ whispered to Frankie as he parked the car in the clubhouse lot.
She stirred awake and mumbled under her breath. “Can we crash in your trailer? I'm too tired to take the bike home.”
EZ laughed and exited the car and grabbed the girl from the car, carrying her fireman style. “Yea, we can crash here.”
“You guys good?” EZ called out to the group, Coco was already making his way to his bike and just offered a quick nod.
“Remind me never to do this shit with you guys again,” he said seriously before following it up with a smile as he started his bike. Lara was climbing out of the car with a chuckle and then turned to EZ.
“Thanks for driving, prospect. Take care of her, she’s going to be sick as fuck in the morning,” Lara said knowing the girl like the back of her hand.
EZ nodded, “Can’t wait. You need anything?” He looked at his brother who was groggily getting out of the car.
“Nah, we’re fine.” He looked at Lara. “You wanna crash at the clubhouse?” He tilted his head at the club.
“Actually, if you’re up for it, maybe we could take a ride.” She said looking directly at Angel. They were standing at two opposite sides of the car, staring at each other.
“I’ll let you guys be,” EZ smirked and disappeared in the lot towards his trailer with Frankie.
Angel wanted to argue it but he could see from the girl’s eyes she needed something so he agreed.
“I can drive, I’m sober now. I didn’t drink much at the club, only like 2 beers and I slept it off in the car.” He explained.
The next words out of Lara’s mouth shocked her, “Let’s take the bike.”
