Omg I need the whole story of meeting Matt Smith!!

oh my god yes!! so it was kind of a last minute thing lol so I’ve liked Matt smith for a while because of Doctor Who and now House of the Dragon but my sister just recently started watching hotd so she instantly fell in love with daemon (Matt’s character) and there’s a comic con that’s in Michigan every year called the motor city comic con and I’ve always wanted to go but there’s never been a person that I was really interested in to meet until I heard Matt smith was going to be there so I was like ugh I want to go but there’s no one who would go with me to meet him and I didn’t have alot of money at the time then my sister caught wind of him going to that comic con because she saw a flyer I had for it so she INSTANTLY bought a ticket to comic con and a ticket to have a photo op with Matt smith and at first I wasn’t going to meet him, I was just gonna go because I couldn’t afford to meet him then I got a check in the mail with some of my left over student aid money from college so then I was gonna buy the photo op with him then I was reading the description and it said you could have up to 4 people in the picture so I told my sister and we decided to just go half and half with it. We got there and just wondered around for a while whilst we waited for our photo op to start because there was the doctor who reunion thing that day and that’s why Matt smith was there. Eventually the number for our photo op got called to wait in line so we waited in this line but it only took about 10 minutes of waiting before we got in the little makeshift room thing where Matt smith was!!! Ahhhh he was literally so sweet! I was so nervous but he was so nice! He said “hello how’re you doing today” (or something along those lines, I was so starstruck I couldn’t remember what he said) then He just instantly pulled my sister and I into him and put each arm around us and he smelt so good and after the picture when we were leaving he was like “nice meeting you guys, stay well” and I was like 🤰🏼 because he’s just so dreamy and so nice. My sister and I were literally jumping up and down after we met him because he was just so amazing😭💞 (Sorry for the long story but it was the best moment of my life and if you ever get the chance to meet him and get a photo op with him I really recommend it because it was so worth the money! It was only like 10 seconds but it was the 10 best seconds of my life😭)

I just rewatched David Tennant’s doctor regeneration into Matt Smith scene and I totally forgot that the Ood sing him a song as he goes. It’s one of the first times in a long time where he’s alone it’s Christmas, he’s scared and struggling to stand and “the universe sings him to sleep”. Even when he doesn’t have a companion the whole universe sings him to sleep, he’s never truly alone the universe is thanking him for his sacrifice and care in his last moments.
