Day 2: Art (fashion)

Kagami had never been one for dresses. They were easy to trip on and made her legs feel bare. Pants were much smarter. Easy to move in, covered her perfectly, and suited her style. Perhaps it also fed back to her father always wanting a son and seeing how differently the boys around her were treated growing up, but she was pretty sure it was just dresses as she didn’t mind other “girly” things like hair clips and simple jewellery. Her usual skirt she also didn’t hate but that was mainly just because she could wear tights with them.

It made her envious though when Marinette would design beautiful suits for the boys but the dresses designed Kagami just couldn’t appreciate. Especially considered most of them were designed to be worn with heels, something she despised more than dresses. Seeing Marinette twirl around in elegant gowns that only her love pack had the honour of viewing was amazing though. Marinette in a dress was like seeing a princess come to life. Dresses suited her.

“One day I’d like to see you in a dress,” Felix remarked to Kagami as they watched Marinette fit her latest outfit for Luka. It was a simple loose jacket that Kagami looked forward to stealing.

“I’d rather not.” Kagami snapped back. She loved Marinette’s designs as much as she loved Luka’s music or Felix’s poetry, but she just couldn’t imagine herself in a dress. Even thinking about her wedding in the faraway future she imagined wearing a suit or a jumpsuit.

“Not even one of Marinette’s?” Luka questioned flinching as Marinette accidently poked him with a pin.

Marinette looked up at him, “She doesn’t have too. Anyway, I have something better than a dress for her.”

“What?!” Kagami exclaimed suddenly excited. She had made something for her? Marinette had made things for her before but not anything where they hadn’t all seen the designs beforehand. From Marinette’s tone and cheeky smile it would be more than just a hat. Was she decorating a bag for Kagami’s fencing gear? Perhaps a new jacket?

“Patience,” Smiled back Marinette

“But those that hesitate-”

“I’m not hesitating, I’m just saying no,” 

“Trust me, you’re going to look beautiful,” Felix winked at Kagami.

“Stunning,” Mullo confirmed nodded his head excitedly, flying out of nowhere to sit on Felix’s shoulder. 

“They’ve seen it?”

“I needed a second opinion,” Shrugged Marinette. “Hold still Luka or I will end up stabbing you again.”

Luka looked across to Kagami. “I’m more worried she’s going to stab one of us if you don’t show her what you’re making.”

“Does nobody have any patience anymore?” Asked Marinette met by a round of no. When Marinette relented, Kagami struggled to sit still, waiting to see what was made. Of course, it wouldn’t be that easy though. Marinette set up the decorative panels to create a barrier, claiming it was for then nobody else would see it until it was mostly ready. The young designer also insisted Kagami close her eyes and let the kwamis dress her.

Kagami realised there was something she hated more than dresses, Lila, and Hawkmoth - having someone else dress her. It was weird. Clothes just rising and fastening, her arms being forced up or down, she felt incredibly vulnerable, but trusted Marinette. She was about to open her eyes when Marinette shouted no. Kagami could feel Mari’s small hands cover her eyes. “Just give me a moment.”

Defying Marinette when it came to fashion was something nobody ever did. Mostly out of fear for their own safety considering how serious she could get. So Kagami stood there, eyes closed as Marinette worked away with pins to tighten some areas or pull fabrics into place.

“Alright, ready.” Marinette agreed leading Kagami out. Luka and Felix both were eagerly waiting, being caught in their attempt at peaking. When she stepped out their jaws dropped. 

Felix, who was a walking thesaurus, said nothing but gaped like a fish trying to breathe. 

Luka was similarly speechless, instead just picking up his guitar and playing a few notes. Beautiful, stunning, exquisite. Kagami interpreted knowing every sound he played and the meaning behind it.

Then she saw herself in the mirror. Black jumpsuit with a simple gold necklace sitting on her collarbone, long red jacket going down to her mid thigh. It was perfect. Beside her in the mirror was Marinette wearing a simple red and black dress, gold jewellery making her sparkle. Then Kagami recalled the black and gold outfit Mari had made for Felix, and the red and gold suit she had made for Luka despite him never wearing either of those colours.

“I have a few other designs going, some more your usual style, some mine, and some traditional, but I thought for the fashion show next week you’d accompany me wearing this,” Marinette commented. Kagami still was looking at herself in the mirror, eyes being drawn to the red amazed at Marinette’s work. When she didn’t comment quickly enough the Maribabble started, “You don’t have to and I know it’s probably not formal enough or you hate it but I know you don’t like dresses so was trying to-”

“It’s perfect,” Kagami smiled hugging Marinette. She quickly stepped back afraid the fabric would crumple or Marinette’s hard worked would be ruined as some stitching was loose. Marinette didn’t seem to care though as she pulled Kagami back into the hug.

One week later

At the fashion show Marinette made waves. Sure, she only had two accessory pieces used to complement Gabriel’s designs but it was still an improvement. Most of the attention had come from her group though. The lavious four clad in red, black, and gold sitting in the first row. Felix, Kagami, and Luka all worked hard to make sure none of the young models stole Marinette away. After about an hour they realised they had forgotten their own appeal. Felix and Kagami had an easy time dismissing suitors as they were blunt and did not care, Felix only had to play nice with a few people. Luka was harder though as he was naturally relaxed and friendly. They realised it was better if they stuck together.

As the event finished Kagami snuck Marinette into the main event room. She pulled out her phone, playing one of Luka’s tracks. One by one they walked down the cat walk, showing off Marinette’s outfits. Marinette sat quietly so blown away. Then they would do ridiculous exaggerated poses making her laugh, which to them was the most beautiful sound in the world. By the end of the night she was in tears as Kagami told her this was simply a glimpse into her future and Felix assured her in five years it would be Gabriel providing accessories to her amazing designs.

I don’t care what anyone says I think Minecraft: Story Mode should have gotten way more attention than it originally did.

Genuinely, it was such an interesting take on the world within that game, and creating a story surrounding it is difficult to do well because you can do so much with it yet so little at the same time. It’s like fucking fnaf. Story Mode is just fnaf in a Minecraft cosplay. Except Story Mode has a well-told fucking story.

Yeah, the dialogue felt a little off sometimes (at least to me), but it felt similar to the original 2D-animated Monster High series in that they felt like REAL PEOPLE interacting; real-life interactions really are just awkward and weird like that, especially when there’s serious shit going on.

Also idk why but the female Jesse sounds very similar to Harley Quinn (2019 cartoon) to me. I do not know why cause they’re not the same VA at all. But something about the way they yell sounds SO similar in my little brain.

Seeing as both male and female Jesse canonically exist according to the Netflix version too, I’m just going to speak my truth right now. Jesse is bigender. Bigender Jesse is real.

Also FUCK OFF WITH THE JESSE AND LUKAS SHIP!! THEY ARE SIBLINGS TO ME!! THEY ARE LIKE QUEER SIBLINGS WHO STICK UP FOR EACH OTHER AND PROTECT EACH OTHER!!! /nm

Jesse and Petra are the true lovebirds to me ESPECIALLY AFTER SEASON TWO. WHAT THE FUCK WAS UP WITH SEASON TWO.

IT MAKES ME SO SAD THAT I CAN’T EVEN PLAY THE GAME ANYMORE CAUSE TELLTALE WENT BANKRUPT. WHAT THE FUCK.

I’m rambling at this point, but this game series was so near and dear to my heart as a child. I love it so much. And I wish there was a bigger fandom for it cause I need to go on. I need to keep going about these characters. They are the sillies.

Lazily scribbled out a sketch for my BTC au

Context: This is honestly just based off a dream I had where my oc for some reason woke up in the Backstage cause she dieded but like also didn’t somehow (I don’t know either). Her cause of ““““death”””” was very heavily involved with the Fazbear franchise but she doesn’t really remember it; she has a general idea of who she is now/was in life, but has no recollection of a lot of specific events, and especially including the ones that lead up to her ““““death””””. But yeah, when she woke up, she kinda just started wandering around in my dream and everyone kinda just started freaking out a little because she’d manifested in a human form rather than in a furry/animatronic form that they would have assumed would’ve been her cause of death before. And then she inevitably comes across Springtrap who is also perplexed (but for… DIFFERENT reasons) and she’s just like “dude can you like???? help me out here????” and he begrudgingly agrees, but only because he thinks there’s a chance it would greatly benefit his own endeavors, and probably doesn’t plan to ACTUALLY help her out. But they then develop a father-daughter relationship and he gets conflicted with all that.

I wanna infodump about this,,, so much,,,
