CLOS & PACO6X - “Futuro”
Il nuovo singolo di Clos & Paco6x
Tumblr media
In seguito, insieme a Valerio Nazo, fonda l’It’s Classic Studio, il quale, anche grazie a “It’s Classic Mixtape” vol. 1 e vol.

Cash Register Sings The Blues
BY MARIA NAZOS
This isn't my dream-job. As a young sheet of steel and plastic I dreamt of being melted down into a dancer's pole in Vegas. I wanted a woman in a headdress glossy as a gossamer to wrap her lithe limbs around me. I wanted to be strewn in lights, smell her powdery perfume. Instead I'm a squat box crouched behind the counter, noticed only if someone robs me. I'm touched all day, but never caressed. Listen: somewhere gold tokens spew from slots. I want to drink space-alien-dyed martinis on black leather sectional couches. Watch tipsy women with acid- washed jeans and teased hair dreamily press their faces against slot machines while people treat currency carelessly as spit in the wind. I'm everywhere you look, ubiquitous and ignored. I'm the container of your dreams that tossed aside my own. I've kept my clean, sleek lines but you never say a thing. Feed me, feed me with the only love we know.

(decided to make one of these on whim. LN was bit tricky because I couldn’t decide whether to choose Anime Lapis Lazuli Queen Penny or Arisun, but I eventually decided on the guy that appeared in episode 29. I also had trouble with Nazo and Dark Bat, since they kinda fit both CE and LE, though I figured that Dark is a bit more chaotic while Nazo is more calculating.)

“It’s you that I welcome death with”
Part of our Sonic: Lost Hero au! In this AU, Shadow and Nazo are brothers that were created together on the ARK. Shadow was created to be pure, Nazo was created to be dark. Thanks to Maria, Shadow found the good in the world and humanity. Nazo, however, only saw the destruction and darkness.
Both had tried to get the other to see their side, but it always failed. Nazo grew more and more unstable as the days went by- until he snapped and tried to kill Maria. Gerald had forced Shadow to send Nazo out in a capsule into space.
Nazo begged and pleaded for Shadow not to do it, but Shadow had to, for everyone’s sake. Ever since that day, he found himself barely able to contain his guilt. His only brother, his childhood friend- dead, by his hands.
Nazo did not die, in fact, he was named by Chaos to be the God of Destruction. Nazo destroyed many planets and countless lives, all for the sake of destiny. It was fated for these things to die, and he merely carried it out. He had to.
Shortly after this followed the G.U.N raid and Shadow’s isolation on Earth.
Many years passed, Nazo finally made his way to Earth, fighting Sonic and ending up killing him. The planet was nearly destroyed completely, almost everyone had died- he finally fulfilled his destiny. Shadow was nowhere to be seen during this time.
Nazo then retired off to a farm world, growing life and tending to his gardens.
3 years later, Sonic was revived, and the world was restored. Shadow finally decided to show up. The reason he wasn’t around was because he couldn’t bring himself to face Nazo. He couldn’t do it, there was no way he could look the person he sent to his death in the eyes.
Yet, as fate would have it, the two would meet again.
Nazo came around once more out of his retirement, now trying to destroy the world again. Except this time, he made sure to find Shadow.
Shadow couldn’t run this time- he had to face it, even if his very bones were shaking and he could barely form any words.
The two engage in battle, fighting till their very forms were giving out.
Yet, as Sonic and friends are trying to stop the world from succumbing to its chaos, Nazo takes Shadow back to the ARK (or what’s left of it) and they watch it from above.
Floating in the midst of space, they begin to talk about their regrets, their destinies, and how they wished it hadn’t ended up this way. Nazo never hated Maria, he never wanted to do any of this.
Finally, he breaks down, telling Shadow the one thing both of them couldn’t admit.
“I missed you.”
And as the Earth is falling apart, they hold hands, weeping as everything they knew was coming to an end.
Even if Nazo could never die, even though they knew that this would be an endless cycle for them, they spoke as if it were their final moments together.
While Nazo was distracted, Shadow was taking off his inhibitor rings.
“Do try not to take 3 years to come see me again, won’t you?”
And Shadow takes the both of them out in an explosion.

My Favorite Anime OPs and EDs from 2010-2019
Tumblr media
No one asked for this, but i’m doin’ it anyway cuz there’s so many songs out there that i’ve never heard anyone talk about. like, y’all sleep on Yu-Gi-Oh! apparently. lmao
Going by release year, here’s all the OPs and EDs i can remember that i luv (and still do to this day). i may or may not have gotten all the years right. hell, i’m not even sure i got the OP and ED numbers right.
It’ll go by: Song Name - Artist (Name of Anime and Which OP/ED it is) an asterisk means i REALLY like it above the rest.
Hopefully this’ll help introduce you to some new jams you missed out on! ^  ^
2010
Going My Way! ~Road to Tomorrow~ - Masaaki Endoh (Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds OP5)*
Close to You - ALvino (Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds ED4)
Future Colors - Plastic Tree (Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds ED5)
Gravity 0 - Aqua Timez (Star Driver OP)*
Never Give Up! - Sonar Pocket (Digimon Xros Wars OP)*
Period - Chemistry (Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood OP4)*
Rain - SID (Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood OP5)* THE. FEELS.
Uragiri no Yuuyake - THEATRE BROOK (Durarara!! OP)* Y’all remember this one? Lmao
Trust Me - Yuya Matsushita (Durarara!! ED)
Ice Cream Syndrome - Sukima Switch (Pokemon Zoroark: Master of Illusions ED)*
My Soul, Your Beats! - Lia (Angel Beats OP) WAIT HOLD ON, ANGEL BEATS WAS THIS DECADE? I THOUGHT THAT WAS 2009 OR SOMETHING. DAHEQ?
ChAngE - Miwa (BLEACH OP12)
Calling - FLOW (Heroman ED)*
SHIVER - the GazettE (Black Butler II OP)
2011
Samurai Heart (Some Like it Hot!) - SPYAIR (Gintama ED17)* And on this day I realized….SPYAIR is lit.
New World - Twill (Digimon Xros Wars OP2)
Masterpiece - Mihimaru GT (Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL OP)
Boku Quest - Golden Bomber (Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL ED)* I luv watching the actual ending sequence. It fits my cyber aesthetic to a T.
BRAVING! - KANAN (Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL OP2)
Setsubou no Freesia (Longing Freesia) - Daizystripper (Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL ED2)* I’ll be completely honest, this song has been my favorite anime theme over most, if not all others, ever since. It’s kinda held a special place in my heart as it’s got memories of what transpired during 2012 that i don’t think i’ll ever forget. From the summer trip we took down south to me creating my very first OCs, Takuya and his Charmander partner Drake, on paper, i’ll luv this song with all my heart. ^  ^
Lovers - 7!! (Seven Oops) (Naruto Shippuden OP)
Counter Identity - UNISON SQUARE GARDEN (Soul Eater Repeat Show OP)*
Ai Ga Hoshii Yo - Shion Tsuji (Soul Eater Repeat Show OP2)* WANTCHU WANTCHU, I WANT CHUU~

Sky's the Limit - Shihoko Hirata (Persona 4 the Animation OP)

Hacking to the Gate - Kanako Itou (Steins;Gate OP)* THIS SONG CLEARED MY SKIN AND RAISED MY GRADES.

LISTEN TO THE STEREO!! - GOING UNDERGROUND (Katekyo Hitman Reborn OP8)*
Core Pride - UVERworld (Blue Exorcist OP)
2012
Mask - Aqua Timez (BLEACH ED30?)
Soul Drive - Color Bottle (Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL OP3)*
Wild Child - Moumoon (Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL ED3)* Whenever I hear this song, I either think of school shenanigans or, if school isn't a thing in their world, a high school AU. Lmao
Unbreakable Heart - Hideaki Takatori (Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL OP4)
Artist - Vistlip (Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL ED4)*
Stand By Me - Stereopony (Eureka Seven AO ED)* Ok I know some people don't wanna remember AO, but hear me out here. Lmao

Key Plus Words - Shihoko Hirata & Yumi Kawamura (Persona 4 the Animation OP2)
Harukaze - SCANDAL (BLEACH OP15)*
Crossing Field - LiSA (Sword Art Online OP) I like making SAO jokes as much as the next guy, but let's be real here. Crossing Field was still a pretty good song.
STAND UP! - Twill (Digimon Xros Wars Hunters OP)* Hunters sucked, but the OP slaps.
Kyomu Densen - ALI PROJECT (Another OP) This show gave me a temporary fear of umbrellas, but this OP is good.
Complication - ROOKiEZ is PUNK’D (Durarara!! OP2)
Light My Fire - KOTOKO (Shakugan no Shana III Final OP)
Mite Mite Kochichi - Memoiro Clover Z (Pokemon Best Wishes ED3)

GO WAY GO WAY - FoZZtone (Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL ED5)
Challenge the GAME - REDMAN (Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL ED6)* I swear to god, this should’ve been the final OP rather than Wonder Wings. I really don’t like that song.
Oh, and if you wanna hear more of the lead singer's voice, he's the lead singer of GIRUGAMESH. They didn't do any anime songs while they were still active afaik, but totally check it out if you like J-Rock.
Sakura Mitsutsuki & Genjyou Destruction - SPYAIR (Gintama OP13 and Gintama: The Final Chapter OP)*
After Cherry Blossoms (all quartets lead to the?) - UNISON SQUARE GARDEN (Yozakura Quartet: Hana no Uta OP)*

Unravel - TK from Ling Tosite Sigure (Tokyo Ghoul OP) Ok, lemme explain. I used to hate this song cuz I thought TK's singing voice was whiny as hell. But after a long, LOOOOONG time, it finally started to grow on me. Feeling on a (retrospective) speculative mood.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, out of boredom I was watching Sonic X’s first pilot and while I’m definitely not the first one to notice or point this out, there is a rather notorious lack of humans here and the final screenshot is different, as in the final product they added Chris and co. I wonder if this means that: -The show was initially going to lack humans sans Eggman entirely and added humans at the last minute to appeal to the japanese public. (Apparently if I’m not wrong, in Japan anthro characters aren’t as popular as human characters, which is one of the reasons Sonic isn’t as popular there compared to the west) -Or they would establish that anthros and humasn co-exist, basically ignoring the whole two worlds concept. Has SEGA ever confirmed any of this two options? If you ask me, I think it’s more likely that they initially had the first option on mind, but the second option could still hold some weight as Shadow appears on the pilot too and we all know his backstory involves Maria and Gerald. But who knows? There’s a limit to how much one can speculate from a short and old pilot.
I find it interesting to think about some of the changes Sonic X went through during it’s production. (Such as how initially Super Sonic was going to have a redesign which later ended up being turned into Nazo by the fandom)

Welcome to National Poetry Month at The Other Pages. My name is Steve Spanoudis and I curate the series each year, with help and contributions from Bob Blair in Texas, Kashiana Singh in Chicago, and (Nelson) Howard Miller in Georgia. I’m coming to you from Coral Springs, Florida, on the eastern edge of the Everglades.
It’s generally easier to write free verse or blank verse than it is to write in highly structured, rhymed poems, but forms with structure and repeating patterns can often be far more memorable and impactful. Sometimes, as in today’s piece by American poet Maria Nazos, the same structure can reinforce the message and resonate on many levels. Today’s poem was originally published 2019, in the Winter/Spring issue of TriQuarterly.
The title, Waitress in a Small Town Seaside Tavern, may suggest you are in for a rustic character sketch. Nope. That idea is thrown out after the first stanza. Maybe even after the first line. It starts out:
Maybe a surfboard hit her, you say.
Though folks whisper, her man beats her,
and there are no waves today.
Her eye is black and sealed like a shutter.
Clearly domestic abuse is the thing we’re going to talk about. Just from these four lines you understand that the locals are aware of the violence, but do nothing. You (the perhaps narrator)
Try to think of a plausible excuse (the surfboard?) but your own conscience refutes that (“there are no waves today”) and the black, swollen eye is physical evidence that is hard to ignore.
Everything here in the first stanza sets up patterns that run throughout the piece. Those patterns of rhyme and repetition echo and reinforce all of these issues - the recurring cycle of violence, attempts to hide or dismiss or excuse the issue, despite all evidence to the contrary, and the painful fact that the victim is trapped in this cycle, just as her own eye is “sealed like a shutter.”
She continues:
We've all heard, her man, he beats her.
Still, we look at her and then look away,
her eye is sealed like a shutter.
(There are no waves this week; the sea is calm today.)
The second stanza both reshuffles and reinforces the first. You might “look at her and then look away,” but the repetition implies that neither the problem, nor this message, are going away. And things may appear calm (in parentheses) you already know that isn’t true. This structure is called a pantoum, and like a villanelle or a sestina, it uses a specific pattern of introduction and repetition to reinforce ideas.
We glance at her, then quickly look away
as evening darkens the gray-green sea.
Since the ocean is calm today,
we drink; she brings us two more whiskeys.
Throughout succeeding stanzas, even as the repetition causes tension to build, the narrator (you) is still trying to rationalize ignoring the situation. As evening darkens over:
with the lights lowered—the bar’s dark, too—
so we can hardly see the mark,
her bruise looks less black and more blue.
You say, maybe it's a shadow; it’s just dark.
The effort to explain away the abuse is now the whole stanza, But the tension has been building for a reason. Things are about to change: in the next two stanzas, her husband arrives, with their child:
Now we can barely see her mark,
as her man sits down with their boy in a booth.
You say, see: it's a shadow. Outside it's getting dark.
She sags across him; slips off one shoe.
The man sitting with their son in the booth
reaches over and strokes her face.
She meets his gaze, slips off her other shoe:
her body's stiff, as if stuck in an invisible embrace.
There are several reasons why this transition is artfully done - I’ll comment on two of them. One is the body language, which is effective with very few words: “she sags across him” submissively, yet “her body’s stiff” - like the aforementioned surfboard. Stiff as a board = frightened to death. I also like the symbolism of unconsciously taking off the shoes. She knows she’s trapped, and cannot run away. The abusive spouse/partner controls her, “strokes her face” matches rhyme with “invisible embrace.”
Tumblr media
There are many more things that Maria Nazos has done to frame the statement she is making, from the colors used - the gray-green sea not blue - green for jealousy, the recurring comment on calm weather - suggesting that a storm - (an argument or fight) must be inevitable at some point, and the simple fact that this scene takes place at the point where land and sea meet - which implies several things, among them, that she can go no further, reinforcing yet again that she is trapped. The recurring simile - that her eye is sealed “like a shutter” also implies that her spouse struck her to ‘shut her up’ - yet another way in which the images reinforce the message.
I’ll comment also that the poem has no active violence - it doesn’t need to. The poet makes the evidence of what has gone before just as inescapable as the Waitress’s predicament itself, and the pounding repetition of the stanzas implies that more violence is inevitable. As with poet Denise Levertov or Ladan Osman earlier in the series, I’ll also comment that Maria Nazos makes good use of her poem to focus on an important issue, one that, as the poem clearly reminds us, is real, is urgent, and is all too often ignored.

Evening falls across the sea.
She lowers the lights; now the bar’s dark, too,
she brings us another round of whiskeys.
Now her bruise looks less black, more blue,
with the lights lowered—the bar’s dark, too—
so we can hardly see the mark,
her bruise looks less black and more blue.
You say, maybe it's a shadow; it’s just dark.

Her man sits with her son in the booth.
Maybe a surfboard hit her, you say, again, hopefully.
But I see she's stuck in an invisible embrace,
and there are no waves today.

Gonna start my blog up with some dumping of some of my existing pictures of the gang to get this thing started. The members of the team.

Metal Sonic - Had a mind of his own and is tired of fighting Sonic constantly and decided to leave Eggman to live his own life
Jade - (My OC) - Shadow’s older sister, never met Maria, sent off to Black Aliens before she even got the chance to, trained as a cheif but got hurt badly and had to go into her OWN coma, bonded with Eclipse the Darkling from the comics after 25 years of healing, fought until she cracked against hating Shadow because she was rejected unlike him, redeemed by Tikal and Chaos, yada yada yada!
