The funniest thing to ever happen in the tma universe is when Gertrude was on the lookout for any supernatural clown activity ahead of the Unknowing, so she flew herself and Gerry all the way to New Zealand, and instead of learning anything that would help her avert the apocalypse, she just listened to some guy go, “Yeah, this huge, fucked up pig showed up in my yard one day and I’m like 90% sure he ate a clown? Can you help with that?”

The second funniest thing in the tma universe is that Gertrude’s advice was “encase the evil pig in cement.”

I think it’s hilarious that Dylan Anderson couldn’t understand why Monster Pig was so attached to him. His perspective is that of the victim of a series of terrifying encounters with this creature (which is true), but he fails spectacularly at realizing that Monster Pig sees a kindred spirit in him.

The man reiterates several times how he is fond of the pigs he cares for, how he loves them, they are his FRIENDS, how dare you hurt his friends!! But they are meat. He eats them. They taste good. Here lies Toby. He has bacon in the freezer if you want some.

I quite enjoyed the monster pig episode. He just. Keeps letting the pig that was meant to be food turn the others into food. Until he cements his decision to get rid of it.

I LOOOOOOVE THIS EPISODE SM. IT'S SO MUCH FUN. I ALSO LOVE THAT IT'S A FAKEOUT WHERE LIKE OOOO CREEPY CIRCUS? DISAPPEARING CLOWNS? STRANGER? PSYCH. JUST A REALLY REALLY REALLY BIG HOG.

i know the narrator makes it very clear that this made him feel nothing but revulsion and terror but like......... a monster whose only purpose was destruction and survival and fear... trusted you. and sighed to you contentedly. i would've folded. even if it DID eat my toby. supernatural or not, monsterpig is just an animal....

idk it always makes me a little teary eyed. life is complicated. horror is too.

Fun fact: my dad raised pigs growing up, and so when I told him about this episode, most of his takeaway was “Yeah that sounds like normal behavior for a big who really needs some enrichment. Just put that guy on an island with a bunch of room and different things to eat and he’s be set. You don’t even need to kill him, you could even helicopter the pig in for backup or something”

Personally I love the idea of the monster pig being helicoptered in to places when the archival crew needs help
