Happy New Year to my @onceuponafestivegifting giftee @maddiebonanafana. :) Have some Hunterfire/Rumbelle family feels! Hope you enjoy it. <3
Also on AO3
Graham walked through the door, holding an arm load of bags. “Anyone home?” He sighed when no one bothered to come to the door. “Seriously? Neal, I saw your car in the drive. Darcy, your bike is leaning against the garage.”
“We’re currently dead,” Darcy called from the living room.
He rolled his eyes and walked in, watching the two obsess over the Switch that Darcy got for Christmas. “Or slaves to a machine. Come on, I’m not setting up for this party all by myself.”
“It’s not really a party,” Neal pointed out. “It’s just us, Papa, Belle and Gideon.”
“Neal.” Graham gave him a look.
“Alright, alright.” He got up and walked over, grabbing a few bags and pecking his lips.
Darcy pretended to gag. “I don’t see what the big deal is, it’s New Year’s Eve. It happens every year, so what?”
“It’s the start of a new year, anything’s possible,” Graham said.
“Don’t make me gag again.”
He hopped up, grabbing a bag and going into the kitchen. Neal smiled, wrapping an arm around Graham’s waist.
“I happen to find your optimism very sweet.”
“Glad one of you do.”
“He’s 13, it’s how they are.”
“Darcy came out of the womb being sarcastic.”
“I suppose that’s true.”
The next few hours were spent cleaning and setting up the house. Graham had gone a tad overboard with the decorations. Their house looked like it belonged in the center of Times Square, all that was missing was Mariah Carey to do a drunken number.
It wasn’t long before Rumple and Belle came with Gideon. He instantly ran over to Darcy, ready to play video games and look over comic books. Neal started pouring out some scotch for his father and Belle, the former of which was looking around the house in mock amazement.
“I’m guessing this was all Graham’s doing.”
“What, Pop? You don’t think I’m capable of this?”
“For Darcy’s first birthday, you wanted to just stick a candle in a cupcake and call it a day.”
“Okay, so maybe I’m not as obsessed with the holiday as everyone else.”
Belle chuckled. “Just like your father in that way.” She looked out the window, watching the snow pile on the ground. “It’s really coming down at there. The winds are picking up too.”
“Thankfully we’re in here, surrounded by these warm decorations.”
Graham rolled his eyes and threw a cheese cube at his husband. “Rumple, Belle, you want a second son back at home?”
“Like you would last five seconds without me,” Neal said, handing out the glasses and making sure to get some soda for the boys.
The truth was, they knew why he was obsessing so much. Something bad always seemed to happen at their parties. Whether it was villains crashing or birthday candles starting a small fire, they seemed to be cursed with being unlucky. They wouldn’t let it get them down, though. They had a lot to be thankful for. For once, there were no bad guys knocking down their doors. Everyone else in town was with their families, knowing better than to ask a favor from Rumpelstiltskin over the holidays.
Over that past Christmas, things had been especially stressful. Krampus came to town, ready to wreak havoc on the “naughty children” of Storybrooke. Darcy and Gideon didn’t fall under that category, but they had made Krampus’ list nonetheless. It was up to their parents to save them and they had, just in time for Christmas. Not that it was the kind they were used to.
The upcoming year was one to be celebrated, because nothing could tear them apart this time.
As the night wore on, they all gathered by the T.V to watch the festivities in New York. Gideon and Darcy headed over to the side of the room to go over comics and get away from the “old folk”. Around 11, however, the power started flickering and soon, it was completely out.
“Aw man!” Darcy shouted. “What are we supposed to do now?”
“Oh come on, this isn’t so bad,” Neal said.
“How are we supposed to watch the ball drop?”
“You know, in the Enchanted Forest, we didn’t have televisions.”
Gideon made a face in the dark. “Papa says that all the time, too.”
“It’s the truth,” Rumple said, getting up. “We can light a fire, countdown to midnight on the grandfather clock.”
“It’ll be just like our first New Year in the Dark Castle,” Belle said, a huge grin on her face as she linked her arm through her husband’s.
Graham dashed into the kitchen and grabbed some more snacks, while Rumple and Neal started the fire. They all gathered by it, Belle leaning against Rumple, Neal doing the same with Graham. He wrapped his arms around him, kissing his cheek.
“I know this isn’t the night you pictured,” Neal whispered.
Graham shrugged, keeping his grip on him. “It’s even better. It reminds me of home.”
“Do you ever wish we could go back there?”
He looked around the room. Rumple and Belle were whispering amongst themselves and the kids were pouring over a comic book by firelight. Ever since the curse broke, there were plenty of times that Graham had wished they could go back. Yet, over the missing year, he had missed Storybrooke as well. It had been where he and Neal fell in love, where Darcy was born.
“No. I’m happy here,” Graham said, finally. “This is where our family is, together.”
Neal smiled, nuzzling his cheek against his. “I have a feeling Papa, Belle and Gideon will be spending the night…but maybe in a few days we can ring in the New Year how we used to before we had a kid.”
A smirk fell across Graham’s lips. “Sounds like fun.”
Gideon pulled out his phone, looking at the clock app. “We’ve got 11 seconds to midnight.”
The family smiled at each other, counting down together.

Mistaken Identity, a RCIJ Fic
Prompt: Tinkerbae Twins Reveal Rumbelle Grandparents
Recipient: @maddiebonanafana
Rating: PG
Summary: There’s nothing quite like having people confuse you and your crush for expecting parents.
Author’s Note: I hope you really enjoy this present, Maddie. I have to admit I struggled with it a lot because I just could NOT make it work as a rumbelle prompt. It just... it felt too difficult. The prompt would naturally venture more into Tinkerbae territory but since the focus is supposed to be Rumbelle and I wanted to give you that I tried hard to make it work and this is what came out. I’m sorry there’s no smut, the story just didn’t naturally go that way. I’m sorry that I had such problems with your prompt but I hope you like how I managed to make it all about Rumbelle in the end! Thanks for all your help!
For anyone who is curious about the products mentioned in this fic Gold and Belle go to this baby store, which I thought was very much in keeping with Tink and Bae’s aesthetics. Except that creepy sheep mobile.
It had taken Bae a year to introduce him to his girlfriend, his old resentment and mistrust making him wary of how things would go. Royce didn't really blame him, after all that had happened between them. He was happy to have been given a second chance at all, really. Cristina- "Please, call me Tink, everyone does"- Green turned out to be a lovely woman. Curious, vivacious and upbeat, and most importantly truly in love with his son. He would have welcomed her in the family even if he'd thought her a horrible person, but thankfully that hadn't been the case. Then again Bae had always been a great judge of character. Not in the way Royce himself was, cerebral and calculating, but in an empathetic way. He saw into the hearts of people.
It was such an ability that first made him distance himself from his father, back when he'd been nothing more than a twisted mass of hurt and anger. And though it had hurt like nothing else in the world had ever had, Royce was glad Bae did it. It allowed him to grow emotionally healthy and carefree, had allowed him to build himself a little family. And had allowed him to, eventually, be open to reconnecting with him, to try to repair what Gold had thought irrevocably broken. And so, little by little, Bae had introduced him to his close circle of friends, his little New York family. Perhaps as a las passive-aggressive gesture he'd started with Fa Mulan, former roommate and chef who took six months to stop giving him the stink-eye. Wendy Darling, though friendly, seemed to always be wary of him, as if she half-expected him to snap at any given moment. Her brothers were little better, though they were a tad more discreet about it.
"Sir, can I help you?"
"I'm waiting for someone."
It had taken Bae weeks to tell him of his first days in New York City, having ran away from his mother's home. At sixteen he'd managed to take odd jobs until landing steady work as a busboy for the restaurant in which Mulan worked. It was her idea to put him up for the night when his landlord evicted him out of the blue but it was her roommate’s idea to sort of adopt him. She'd taken one look at his scrawny teen self and had decided he needed someone. Royce had no doubt Bae had fought tooth and nail against the very notion, still angry at the world and everyone in it, but there had been nothing but love in his eyes when he'd introduced him to "Mama Belle". With a name like that, he'd imagined someone different. Matronly, round, the sort of person that would adopt waifs and strays and keep one too many cats. Reality was... entirely different. Belle French was scarcely ten years older than Bae, a librarian working the Acquisitions department of the NYPL. She was small, even for his standards, and delicate-looking, though incredibly energetic at the same time, a force of nature. Neal found it easier to cave in to her gentle mothering than fight it, even though he was clearly unused to such attention.
Mama Belle was also embarrassingly attractive. A mass of gently-curled brown-red hair, impossible blue eyes, the most enchanting Australian accent he'd ever heard... it wasn't fair. He'd spent the first weeks after meeting her learning how to talk to her in words other than pathetic monosyllabic. Bae, the little shit, seemed to love it. He'd been afraid his father would lash out at Belle, a person who had gotten to be there for Bae when he hadn't, who was privy to a part of his life that Gold was struggling to access. To find him instead falling under Belle's spell was, he often said, karma.
It was Royce's reaction to Belle that finally made Bae introduce him to Cristina, a mechanical engineer working for some Manhattan-based company specializing in green energies or the like, something to do with solar panels that Tink had tried to explain to him at least five times since he'd met her. Fortunately for him his son's girlfriend seemed to be on his side, determined to see father and son working on repairing their relationship.
He considered it a triumph to have been one of the first people to hear about the pregnancy, and the later announcement that they were expecting twins. At forty-seven Royce felt a bit young for grandchildren but he didn't have to pretend to be excited. As unlikely as it seemed he loved children. Children didn't judge, didn't criticise, weren't malicious. Children loved unconditionally, passionately, without pretence or expectations. He'd loved raising Bae, even though they'd been dirt-poor at the time, and had hoped for more children in the future. And though none of his dreams had come true he now had, in a way, a second chance at that. He was wealthy now and had little to spend it on other than grandkids so when Bae asked him for help outfitting the nursery- "Tink's got her hands full trying to finish as much as possible at work before maternity leave and between work and school I just don't have the time"- he'd agreed comically fast. He hadn't considered the dynamics of it at the time, hadn't considered how little he knew about modern childcare products or Bae and Tink's own tastes. When Bae had been born, they had been too poor for anything not donated or second-hand, and had done without much of what he was sure his son and daughter-in-law would consider essential.
"I'm sorry I'm late, but I'm here."
Belle appeared next to him out of thin air, so deep in his own thoughts he'd been. Obligingly he ducked his head a little so she could kiss his cheek, something that had taken some getting used to, and smiled shyly. He was glad the fear of failing his son had pushed him into calling in reinforcements, he was sure that otherwise he wouldn't have dared bother Belle. She, gentle soul that she was, had jumped at the chance to help. At thirty-two she was of an age where friends and acquaintances were starting their own families so she was fairly familiar with what Bae and Tink would need for the twins, and were best to get it. He certainly wouldn't have located the trendy Brooklyn store by himself, with its modern industrial designs very unlike his own preferences. But it was, he acknowledged, very much in keeping with what he had seen in Bae and Tink's flat, modern and sleek.
"So, how does the grandpa-to-be feel? Must be a bit disconcerting, being a grandfather at such an age. I know when Bae joked about his children calling me "Grandma Belle" I almost hit him with a leather-bound edition of Les Mis."
He winced, hoping the glee on his face wasn't stupidly evident.
'She thinks I'm young.'
"Okay, so here we can cover most of the furniture and bedding, but I want to go to other places for the clothing, get more diversity."
It took her one raised hand and a smile to get the attention of an employee, who took one look at Gold's Brioni suit and Belle's patent leather designer shoes and snapped almost comically to action, ready to sell them every single item on the store. Thankfully, however, Belle seemed to have clear ideas about what she wanted and how she wanted it, and though she didn't use intimidation or thinly-veiled threats bur rather charm and gentle coaxing, it reminded him a lot of his own deal-making process.
"Your wife is a very astute shopper, sir."
It took him a moment to realise the shopping assistant was talking to him and a moment longer to realise she was talking to him about Belle. He felt himself grow hot in the face immediately, his mind searching for the words to explain the mistake without dissolving into unintelligible stammering.
"Come, sweetheart, I want you to see this adorable bassinet I just discovered."
As he allowed himself to be lovingly-dragged by Belle he looked around, seeing many sets of eyes on them, many of them male, all of them faintly questioning. And it struck him that what they saw was an old, besotted fool and the pretty young thing he had somehow managed to knock up. They thought they were a couple, shopping and preparing for the arrival of a baby. And, embarrassingly, he found himself loving it. It was easy, especially given Belle's tactile nature, to wrap an arm loosely around her waist and lean close to study the bassinet she was pointing at, easy to keep close to her as they moved on to the mobile section.
"Oh, God, who would buy that awful sheep mobile? It looks like it could be the centre part of a horror movie argument."
It was the shopping experience he'd always wanted for when he'd been waiting for Bae's arrival. A full wallet, a warm and enthusiastic partner and all the time in the world. Belle, with her whimsical yet practical nature, was a perfect complement to his own rather extravagant and over-indulgent tastes. Every purchase meant a lively debate, complete with good-natured bantering and a thrilling dash of flirting. It became a game of sorts between them, a gentle tug-o-war that lead to some interesting purchases.
"Tink's gonna love that giant bunny lamp, just you wait."
"I'm still telling Bae it was solely your idea. I'll tell them I fought valiantly, made him proud."
After the first store came others, and though he had a minor scare when Belle realised people were mistakenly assuming they were expecting parents, she didn't seem to mind, rather the contrary. She played it up, made it a part of her rather formidable shopping strategy. And though he knew it was stupid, and risky and likely to leave him emotionally compromised, he gave himself over to the fantasy completely. It was bittersweet how easy it was, how little effort it required. He was prickly by nature, skittish and touch-shy, but it wasn't so with Belle. Something about her made it dangerously easy to lower his defences, to let her in. By the time the sun began to sink and they exited their last shop, Toys R Us, he knew he was a goner.
"Well, this was fun, being pregnant for a day. Thanks for letting me tag along."
"I couldn't have done this without you. Had no idea babies required so many things, other than the obvious. And I'm glad that people's assumptions didn't make you uncomfortable. I'll admit it was easier to pretend."
Belle bit her lip, which he quickly categorised as the world's most erotic unconscious habit, and tilted her head to the side.
"Maybe people could... mistake us for a couple on their first date? Say... on Sunday? I know a lovely place for brunch, most divine omelettes and a raspberry jam to die for."
It took him a rather long amount of time to process her words, to pair them up with the hopeful, open expression on her face and the rather endearing nervous way in which she tugged a lock of hair behind her ear.
"Y-y-yes, that'd be... yes. Sunday. This Sunday. Around eleven?"
"Eleven would be perfect."
A year later Mr and Mrs Gold were amused at having to pretend to be expecting their second son instead of their first.
"It's the bunny lamp. No shop is going to forget the couple that bought a toddler-sized bunny night lamp."
"Oh, hush and look at this adorable tree bookcase. I swear the moment I saw it I felt Gideon kick. We must have it."

I've received a few asks over the past couple of weeks asking about my philosophy about hate and bullying, people saying they loved the philosophy but that they didn't know how to make themselves believe. When I answered the question I really wasn't sure how to answer it, and it ended up being a kind of vague thing that I didn't feel great about.
I was writing a message of support to @maddiebonanafana today and while I was writing it I realized that such a philosophy isn't something you can just tell yourself and then live by. Human emotions, psychology, it can all be really tough, especially when you're dealing with mental illness on top of that.
I feel kind of silly now because this is ultimately how I ended up being able to adopt this idea and live by it, but I didn't really realize it until I was saying.
First of all, there are things you need to tell yourself, remind yourself, and believe:
1. It's not your fault 2. No matter what it was that might have led them to choose you as a target (which can range anywhere from a perceived weakness to simply disagreeing with them) what they're doing to you is because of them an their issues, not because of you 3. You hold a considerable amount of power. They crave a reaction. It's in your power to give it or withhold it. 4. No matter what you've struggled through, no matter how you feel about yourself, you can at least know that you're strong enough and good enough to not treat people the way they do.
It can be hard to believe those things when you're having a hard time and you're dealing with a person harassing you or bullying you. Hell, it can be hard to believe those things even when you're in a good place when you've got someone harassing you.
So you need to take ACTION. Instead of just telling yourself those things, show yourself those things. Show yourself that you're a strong, kind person. Show yourself that you have things you love and things you enjoy. Show yourself that there are things about you to shout about.
Any time you get hate in your inbox, attacked on a post, find that someone has been stalking your and mocking you, do any of these things:
1. Send some love out into the world. Send some people some nice asks letting them know they're wonderful. Go through some fics and art and leave glowing comments. Out in the offline world, hand out some compliments. Send a text to some friends and family letting them know you're thinking of them and that you think they're great. 2. Do nice things for people. Write a fic for someone. Make art for someone. Offer to beta read something. Offer your time to people you care about for whatever they need. 3. Do nice things for YOU. Take a fancy bath (I don't know what that entails because I can't really take baths, but go wild). Give yourself a manicure. Eat some chocolate. Watch your favorite movie or your favorite episode of your favorite show. If you have some spare chash, buy yourself a little something. Nothing too big and pricey, just a little thing. A candy bar, a tube of lipstick, a comic book. Treat yourself. 4. Roll around in the things you love. This can kind of go hand in hand with the above. Spend time not just an hour, but a lot of your free time doing things you love. If you love making art, spend time sketching and painting. If you love writing, spend time doing that. Don't let it stress you out. If you get to a point where you feel blocked, don't sit their getting frustrated, just walk away. Rewatch your favorite shows and movies, listen to your favorite albums. 5. TALK ABOUT the things you love. You'll be reminded that there are people out there who share that interest and will be excited that you're there to talk just because you both like the thing. Talk about what you love in positive ways, even if you're talking about the things you don't like abou the thing you love, and remember that you're able to be passionate about something, that you're able to let that thing make you happy, and that you can do it without anger and bitterness 6. If there's something you've done that you're proud of, say so. Tell yourself you're proud. Post it on your blog because people should know you've done something you're proud of. Is there something about yourself that you like? Say so. You migth get people telling you that you're arrogant and self centered. Block them. There's nothing arrogant and self centered about liking yourself and saying so. The more you tell yourself you deserve good things, and the more you put it out there for posterity, the more you'll believe it. And you'll be amazed by how many people will come out of the woodwork to reinforce those ideas for you. 7. Let your blog become about how awesome your are. Post about the things your love. Talking about those things with other people who love them. Celebrate yourself and your talents. Talk about the things that have happened to you that were fun or exciting. Offer kindness and empathy to others. Make posts praising the things and the people you like. Reach out.
The more you ACT the more you BELIEVE. The more kindness you offer others the more you will see yourself as a kind person. The more you immerse yourself in things you love and things that make you happy the more positive your experiences can be. The more you talk about the things that make you great the more you'll believe that those things are great and that they make you wonderful. And the more you believe those things, the more you'l be able to look at people who seek to hurt others, who find pleasure in harassment, mocking, and bullying, and you'll be able to see the difference. You'll be able to see how very much you are not like them.

Secret Santa Gift for maddiebonanafana
Merry Christmas @maddiebonanafana! I was going to make you a video, but that idea you had for Tink and Neal was stuck in my head, so I went with this fanfic instead. I hope you like it!
“Are you sure you wanna do this?” Neal asked as he sat with her on the couch. “We don’t have to do this.”
“I am ready, Bae.” She smiled reassuringly.  He was more nervous about this than she was.
“Alright…I just know how you are.”
“I can handle this.” Tink said proudly.
With a sigh, he handed her the Wii controller inside the steering wheel case. “I just don’t want to hurt your pride.”
“I learn fast. My pride will be fine,” she said with a chuckle as she took the controller. “Now, show me how this works.”
“Okay. So you hold the wheel like this.” He helped place her hands in the right spot and showed her how to hold it. The Mario Kart home screen showed on the screen behind her. “To move the car to the side, you simply turn this in the way you want to go. You want to press and hold the ‘2’ button to help your cart move forward. To stop, you can use the ‘1’ button or the ‘B’ button back here.”
“Why are there both numbers and letters?”
“What?”
“On this wand…You have all of these buttons, and some of them are labeled with numbers and others with letters. Why is that?”
“Well, it is not a wand. It is a controller. It doesn’t have magic.” He said, trying not to chuckle.  “And it is because there are different types of controllers, and they usually have an ‘A’ and ‘B’ button.  Having those made it easier for people to figure out when they play on with this one.”
“Then why don’t they just make the buttons with numbers ‘C’ and ‘D’?”
Neal laughed. “I guess the people who made these are not as smart as you are.” He kissed her gently on the forehead, creating a happy smile on her face. “Now, in the game there are items that can help you win. Press this button to throw it ahead of you and this button to throw it behind you.”
“How do I get these items?”
“They are in capsules. If you drive into them, you will collect them.”
“And what about these buttons in the middle?” She pointed at the buttons marked “A”, “+”, “-”, and with a home icon.
“Those are not used in this game.” He said, figuring it was better not to explain how all the selection screens work for the system.  “That’s all you need to know.  Are you ready?”
“I am.”
“Okay. We got to select your characters and then we can start.” He pulled up the screen that showed her all of the different characters. He showed her how to scroll through each one and how to select them.
“Who are all of these people? Who is this Princess Peach? What country does she rule?”
“They are famous characters. There are a lot of video games like this made about these guys. Peach is the princess of the Mushroom Kingdom.”
“The Mushroom Kingdom?” Her face lit up in fascination. “Are they from the Enchanted Forest?”
“Oh, um, no. They are famous like the people here, but they are fictional. At least I think they are.” It was hard to know if they were nowadays.  “I have never seen them in our land.”
“Well, I think I will pick these two.” She picked Daisy and Peach as her characters.
Neal took a minute to set up the perimeters for the race and soon it was time to race. “Now, you want to focus on your side of the screen.” He pointed to the right side where it focused on her characters. Soon the counter came up and started the countdown. As soon as it said “Go”, all of the carts started driving off, leaving Tink’s car behind. Immediately she realized the game had started and clicked on the button to get it moving. She spent most of the race trying to stay on the gray road. She was turning the wheel frantically to try to stay on it.
“Watch out for items on the road.” Just as Neal said that, she ran into a banana peel, causing her kart to spin. She grunted in frustration. As she kept going she tried to avoid the dice in the road. “No, babe. You want to get those.”
“I thought you said to avoid things on the road.”
“Most things, but not those. Those are the capsules the items are in.” The next time, she drove through one and a green shell appeared in Peach’s hand. “There you go! Toss it!” Tink tossed it as it hit the car in front of her, seeing that it hit someone long enough for her to pass it. She smiled with pride as she kept trying to move forward.
As the game progressed, Neal tried to help her the best he could. He was at a steady lead, so he could focus more on her. He noticed she was getting used to throwing the items. He tried to explain new ones as they came up for her.  Suddenly, he noticed her starting to go towards a dice that was red and had some sparks coming from it.  “Tink! Watch out!” She ran into the dice and had her car flipped over.
“I thought I was supposed to go through those capsules!”
“That is a fake one. It is supposed to trick you. But you can see the difference. It is red instead of changing colors.”
The race came to an end. Neal finished in first place, and Tink finished in 7th place. “How many places are there?”
“Thirteen.” Neal replied with a slight chuckle. The blonde huffed. This was one fairy that did not like to lose. “Don’t worry.” He kissed her cheek.  “The game’s not over. You have three more races to catch up.”
“And beat you.” Neal rolled his eyes at her comment and helped them move to the next game.
“This is not the same road.”
“We are playing a set of races. Each one is a different course to make it more fun.”
Tink sighed and shrugged. Here goes nothing. They started the race, and they were off. She was right with what she said before. She was a fast learner. It didn’t take long for her to get the hang of things. While she did get hit by the occasional shell or item, she was doing much better. Neal wasn’t helping her as much, except to point out what different obstacles to look out for on the new road. He was impressed. There was a time that she was about to pass a kart for second place. She was getting more excited the closer she got to first place. Suddenly, lightning struck on the screen, and her cart was small. She jumped back in confusion. “What was that?”
“It was one of the items. It makes all the cars smaller so that it takes them longer to travel the same distance.”
“Is it some sort of pixie dust?”
“No. It’s lightning.” He chuckled softly.  “It affects everyone but the person who threw it. It will go away in a few seconds.” He kept his word. It took only a few seconds for the effect to wear off, but the kart did pass her and push her back. By the time the race ended, she was in fourth place.
“Hey. You’re getting better.” Neal said encouragingly. “Let’s do the next one.”
The third race got progressively easier for her. She didn’t ask as many questions. Even when he tried to help, she would say that she understood it. He eventually backed off and let her play without any guidance. Suddenly, at the end of the race, she was in third place. In the last fourth of the last lap, she ran across an item. A Chain Chomp appeared. She threw the item and it propelled her forward, knocking over the second place person and pulled her through the finish line. As she crossed the finish line, the Chain Chomp hit Neal’s car.
“I almost beat you!” She said proudly.
“Yeah. Almost.” He said with a smug look on his face. “In case you didn’t notice, I still won.” She scoffed and shoved him playfully.
“I’ll get you next time.”
“We will see.”
The final race began, and Tinkerbell hit the button just at the right time to get a jump-start. Neal’s eyes widened as they made their way around the track. It was a very nail-biting race. Neal was still in first, but Tink was slowly making her way forward. Her aim of the items got better. Almost every time she found an item and tossed it, she hit a driver that helped move her forward.
“You are getting ahead. Are you using magic to cheat?”
“I told you I would learn fast.” As they played, their postures were more and more forward. They kept playfully shoving each other as they raced, hoping it would knock them off.
It was the final lap. Neal was in first, and Tink was in second. They were in the second half of the race, and Tink was close behind him. Neal ran through an item and received a green shell. He tossed it backwards to try and hit Tink. She dodged it just in the nick of time as she tried to swerve to get an item. She was successful. A blue spiked shell with wings was in her hands. She didn’t bother to ask. She tossed it in front of her, and it hit Neal’s kart in a huge explosion. Both of their eyes widened as her car zoomed past his. He tried to accelerate to get past her, but she passed the finish line. The first place indicator came over her screen as second place came over Neal’s.
“Yes!” She screamed as she held her controller in the air. She turned to Neal. “I finally beat you.”
“Yeah. You won this race.” He clicked the button to show the awards ceremony. He had the first place trophy. The cart with Wario and Waluigi had the second place trophy, and Tinkerbell had the third place trophy. “See? I won the entire series.”
“Well, I still beat you in one race.”
“I have to admit, babe. You did pretty well.” They smiled lovingly with each other and shared a kiss. After a moment, he softly broke the kiss. Her eyes fluttered open to look at his.
“Rematch?” Tink asked with a confident smirk.
“You’re on.”

Maddiebonanafana's wishlist
Things I’d like: I am a huge Tinkerbae shipper (Tinkerbell/Neal), they are my number one Otp. I would like a fanfiction or video for them. I have tons of prompts and ideas fanfiction wise for them, so instead of listing them all here id like for you to please message me so I can give you them to choose from. I love fluff, and angst (as long as it ends happily), but most importantly smut! That would be my most preferred. And if you’d rather do a video, I have a few songs in mind you can use. I know that they are a small ship so if you’d like, I can give you my headcanons and all the meta I have for them to give you a feel for them. On the side I love Daddyfire (Neal and Henry), and Papafire and Neal + The Darlings. I also love the brotp with Neal and Mulan. Happy!Neal is what I’m all about.
No-no’s: Absolutely no captain cobra please, that relationship makes me extremely uncomfortable. I also don’t like Captainswan or Swanfire. I don’t really care for Emma or Hook, so the less of them the better. No Wendy/Neal in a romantic light please, and Redcricket or Tinkerhook. I’m also really not interested in picspams, playlists, or graphics.
What I CAN do: I can make fanfics, pic-spams, and aesthetics. As far as ships and characters go, I do well with pretty much everyone except Hook, Emma, and Regina. For ships, Rumbelle, papafire, daddyfire, any crack or fanon ship, Snowing, and I can do small ships like Ariel/Eric or Mulan/Aurora etc.
What I absolutely CAN’T do: Captain Cobra, Captainswan, Frozenswan, Swanfire, romantic Wendy/Neal, anything with Hook or Emma as a major focus, Redcricket, and Regina stuff because I have no clue how to write her.
Back-Up Gifters (YES OR NO): Yes
If YES to back-up gifter, would you be able to make 2 gifts at the same time? Yes
Anything else: I can always compromise on stuff since I know my tastes are uncommon.

I have to admit, I was mildly horrified when Emma didn’t immediately ask me to be her boyfriend. I mean, I know she was sad but how much time did she need? Neal was dead.
