Its moments like these that really puts how much Castiel gave up for Humanity and Dean and Sam into perspective. I wish they'd kept this scene in the episode, it gives so much depth to his character.

I think people make the mistake of thinking Stucky is like Destiel because they both have that “I know you’re in there” moment when the brainwashed one is trying to beat the other to death.

But as far as the overall dynamics go: Steve and Bucky, like Sam and Dean, are siblings whose upbringing left them extremely close and protective of each other. A lot of people (not me!!) (wrongly) translate that into romantic love.

Meanwhile, there’s Sam and Bucky, who start on opposite sides but through fighting together realize they have a lot in common and come to be best friends and family. (And are in love.)

The other reason I fucking love Mary Winchester is how far out of the park Jensen Ross Ackles hits it EVERY TIME he has to play Dean's mom-related pain. It really brings home for me what a fully-realised character, and like, whole-ass human being Dean is, and makes me feel every fucking year of Dean's motherless life.

Jensen just KILLS IT.

the craziest thing about the mixtape is it sets up a precedent, we had no idea dean gave it to him because it didn't happen onscreen, we only knew about it because we saw castiel trying to return it.

so how many other gifts may dean have given castiel that he just kept?? whose gifting or returning wasn't crucial to the main plot and so we didn't get to see??

how many destiel scenes happened offscreen during all those years?? another example of this is them watching tombstone. so many little throwaway lines or moments here and there that basically confirm that for as much insane couple behavior we saw onscreen, there was a whole other level of offscreen insanity going on
