Currently reading: Nothing at the moment!
Last song: “Vi maler byen rød” (or rather, its English version, “I’m Chasing Butterflies”) by Birthe Kjær. ...I’ve been on a bit of an 80s Eurovision kick lately, and it has SUCH Gerbera vibes.
Last series: No TV series, but I finally got and watched Kemono Jihen. Hoping for a season two!
Last movie: I haven’t seen any movies in a long time.
Sweet/spicy/savoury: Sweet, savoury, and then a hundred miles away, spicy.
Song stuck in head: “Vi maler byen rød/I’m Chasing Butterflies“, but only because I mentioned it above. Also, “Rock Bottom” by Mike Moran and Lynsey de Paul.
Last thing I googled: “Caviar on pizza”; I wanted to see if it was an actual thing, as I was in a discussion over whether Jasper Dragon Quest would eat it or not.
Dream vacation: Thanks to a certain game involving sharks and cards Pau, in the southwest of France. It’s not too far from northern Spain either, which would/could make for a nice trip.
Currently working on: Just finished a Sylv and Jade story wherein she plays nurse for once.

was talking to my therapist today and i told her my psychiatrist just diagnosed me with autism and we’re talking ab it and she goes something ‘yeah and for people like you who have adhd as well, that’s a big struggle’. what adhd lynsey. what adhd??????

“Fuck,” I said.
Noah looked horrified. He and Kevin looked away as soon as they’d gotten the picture, dropping their eyes to their phones or bringing them up to the television screens in an uncomfortable understanding that this wasn’t something that they should have been seeing.
“Unbelievable,” Noah muttered, squinting up at the hockey game.
“Lynsey, what are you doing?” Nicole said quietly and turned to comfort and distract my brother while Elise leaned over to look over Kevin’s shoulder, mumbling something about Twitter. No one wanted to stare but they all stole glances, peeking up before turning away.
But I couldn’t bring myself to look away, not when I didn’t trust Lynsey or the man that was holding her. He wasn’t unattractive. He was well-dressed, his hair mostly grey, and his smile was wide and white. But it didn’t matter to me how handsome or rich he was (and I deducted the latter when I saw his watch and his shoes) – I wanted him to take his hands off my friend.
“I thought she’d grown out of her old man phase,” Nicole spat bitterly, trying to hide the way she watched them by pretending she was on her phone. “I thought we were past this.”
“So did I,” I said with a rough sigh, my eyes narrowing when the man’s hands moved up Lynsey’s ribs. I shuddered, turning back to my friends. “I can’t watch this anymore.”
But turning my head did nothing to obstruct my view. Now that I knew what to look for, the reflection in the framed poster on the wall gave it all away. And just as the man’s hands got high enough to squeeze our friend’s breast, just as I was about to say something mean, Shane slammed his beer bottle down on the table. He cursed and stood up, snatching his coat off the back of his chair before storming out the front door.
“Apparently neither can Shane,” Kevin said dejectedly.
A collective, unsettled sigh came from the entire table, even Elise who couldn’t possibly yet understand Shane’s complicated relationship with Lynsey.
Nicole straightened in her chair, clearly uncomfortable.
“Should one of us–?”
“I got it, Coley,” I said, finishing my drink and rising to my feet. I couldn’t bear to leave them all on such a dark note, though, and so I put one hand on Nicole’s shoulder and the other on Elise’s. “Nicole, Elise is an Eagles fan. Elise, Nicole is a Steelers fan.” I gestured wildly in the space between them and said, “Discuss.”

Currently Watching: Parks and Rec. literally I do not have time to sit and watch. I’ve got season 2 of the witcher to write and it usually is a toss up between writing and watching when i have free time and writing usually wins hahah
Currently eating: Nothing. I do have a large coffee in front of me though.
Currently Craving: Pancakes or sweet waffles with a proper banana milkshake. But I am on a diet… i need to get into my wedding

His Dark Materials will take the TV and film industry in Wales to another level
Film and television production is now a significant part of the economy in Wales, with the sector now worth £100m to the country and employing 2,000 people. As His Dark Materials screens on BBC One the industry is elevated to new heights. But the journey to the fantasy series’ epic production has been long

Much has changed in the 18 months since my previous visit to Wolf Studios Wales.
For a start the parking is much, much more difficult.
Back then A Discovery of Witches was putting the finishing touches to the first series at the Cardiff Bay studios.
Such has been the success of the series, which was shown on Sky One in the UK, a second and third series were quickly approved.
However, these series have been moved to Pinewood Wales, along with the Lena Dunham-directed TV series Industry, as Wolf Studios has been dedicated to the development of the ambitious adaption of His Dark Materials.
While A Discovery of Witches was grand in its production, the new fantasy series based on the Phillip Pullman books is epic.
[...] While Wolf Studios was used for the first season of A Discovery of Witches there was always an eye fixed on it being used for His Dark Materials.
The series took over the site after A Discovery of Witches wrapped early last year.
The back lot, which had once housed the cast trailers from A Discovery of Witches, is now the sun scorched town of Cittàgazze.
[A Discovery of Witches season 2 is filming in Pinewood Wales. The 2 studios are just 10 mins apart.]

[...] 4Wood now employs 20 full-time staff, including office staff, construction managers and apprentices, and it is in the process of increasing the team by a further 15. It will also work with, at times, up to 150 local sub-contractors consisting of scenic carpenters, scenic artists, steel fabricators, model makers and sculptors.
“As a company we have had exceptional growth, purely down to the vast amount of amazing Welsh productions that we have had the pleasure of working on,” says Lynsey.
“These productions include three seasons of Da Vinci’s Demons, The Collection, Will, The Bastard Executioner, Apostle, Brave New World, Discovery of Witches and His Dark Materials, as well as many others in-between.
“If we were to pick a favourite set, it would certainly be between the most realistic castle for The Bastard Executioner, the very desirable Mrs Coulter’s apartment in His Dark Materials, or the beautiful Bodleian Library for The Discovery [of] Witches. The end result of all being absolutely breathtaking.

Mr Skelding points out: “Within 50 miles of here you can have most looks you like, you can be in the street, down a mine, on an amazing, or an award-winning beach.”
Mr Guy says the studios often work together.
“We don’t really see each other as competition. We tend to work together and know what is going on in each studio. If we are not available I will happily tell them to look at another studio, and they will do the same. It’s really about keeping that shop front of Wales open. Making sure we fill it.”
Mr Skelding adds: “Our biggest concern is having enough crew. It was tough this year, A Discovery of Witches and His Dark Materials are going, and this [A Brave New World], plus Industry. It’s a big drain on crew before you sprinkle in the smaller jobs of Keeping Faith and Doctor Who, or those round the clock jobs. What you don’t want is that skill base to wear so thin you they go back to others and say they’re not up to it down there.
“What they are seeing is a number of people relocating to Wales once they realise the opportunities that are here.”

The tag line for His Dark Materials is “One Girl Will Change Worlds”, with Jane Tranter and Julie Gardner [of Bad Wolf], it could be said two women have changed the world of film and television in Wales.
