I’m currently re listening to the bridgerton books and I’ve had a bit of an idea for a story in the book era with some of the show in it… and I’m wondering if people would be interested in it…

Sophie is still the Earl’s ward and though he died still when Sophie was 14, his sister takes her in as there is no step mother…

It’s 1813 so takes place during The Duke and I, Sophie is 19 and making her debut whilst it’s Daphne’s third (as per the book)

And just benophie falling in love whilst all the drama of Daphne and Anthony being a hot head and the duel and what not with their own drama along the way…

Would people read it?

I can't remember the title But i know it was a benophie fic and one chapter had Ben and Sophie shaving down below before making love int eh tub. Do you still have it?

I know which one you mean. It was a multi Fic and in sure it was the truly madly deeply AU I based it on but I can’t find it anywhere it was like 44 chapters long or something…

That ended up with about 8 chapters being randomly deleted so when it was cleared it was gone and usually with a big fic (anything over 15 chapters) my Google docs has a hissy fit so I have to post and delete as I go so I had no chance of fixing that one sadly.

So it looks like people are interested in a split Benophie Week!

So I’ve created a Google Form which I’m going to leave open for a week for people to vote on their themes and prompts.

I’m asking people to vote for their favourite 5 as I’ll do two lots of 5 days.

Please bare in mind part one of Benophie week is going to be during part 2 of Bridgerton season 3 so there is likely (based on leaked spoilers) some things that happen with Benedict but it doesn’t have to affect Benophie week…

alas no.

They were subjected to a virus and had to be deleted. I’ve got some of them stored but I’m not reposting them on ao3 out of fear because I got a warning from ao3 and basically it’s the second time it happened, scrabble had been the first

But this was on about 15+ pieces of work and I’ve been told it happens again they will delete my account and though they know it’s not me doing it, it’s hacking their server via smut works so I’m not prepared to take that risk.

If people know which ones they wanna see i can post them here but i don’t have time to post them all so people need to tell me what they want and I’ll see if I’ve got it

I don't understand why people find it surprising that Benedict didn't recognize Sophie:

The only time they met, she was wearing a mask that covered half of her face,

I'm sure the lighting must not have been bright enough to clearly capture her visible features

Two years passed before they met again, and Benedict had spent the last six months drinking away his sorrows at dubious parties which obviously took a toll on his memory

Sophie herself had changed a great deal: she chopped her hair short and lost a lot of weight

And of course, he hardly expected that the woman he considered a member of high society would turn out to be a servant

I mean if I don’t see someone for two years it doesn’t take much to forget their face snd as someone who lost a lot of weight in a year people didn’t recognise me! Even my phones facial recognition stopped working so it’s entirely possible!

Like Sophie said in the book he’s not going to be looking for an elegant lady of the ton in a house maid.

He feels and notices similarities beteeen the two and I’d wager if he saw Sophie in a ladies dress rather than her maid’s clothes he’d have recognised her.
