gonna take a minute to rant about just how much i love louis and his care for fans and how he's always trying to do things in the most affordable, convenient way possible. getting his tickets was one of the most smooth, seamless experiences i ever had. love how his first tour was a bit smaller and now that he's doing larger arenas, the pricing hasn't changed a bit. he's taken so much care and consideration into curating his brand and making it accessible and you can see the genuine thought process that goes into it because louis isn't just putting music and tours out and calling it a day. he's examining every little aspect of it and making sure that at the end of the day everything is as fair as possible. i know we can say it's the bare minimum, but to me at least it isn't. because it takes a lot of planning and organising to be able to pull this off, but it also takes a lot of investment time and money wise. and i honestly commend him for being one of the only artists in the industry who's not only to bring change but also who's putting a damn good fight and being a very good example of what an artist could be and how relaxing and beneficial an artist - fan relationship can be
#i will further rant in the tags#regarding pricing i don't think there was any ticket that went beyond £60 and that's a huge feat tbh#and even the ones that went that high were for bigger venues which makes sense#i am NOT comparing anything but just for example sake because this is the only one i have#harry's doing a 20k capacity venue and his ticket prices are £70-120#and that's not including platinum or pods. with that it goes as high as £500#and louis' doing a 20k venue for £35-60#the fact that he's literally treating ticketmaster like a secondary option says a lot#gigs and tours seems very indie and on brand for louis' tickets and honestly it worked because it was literally so easy#and it didn't make you go through a thousand hoops for it#and because he didn't change his pricing much even when he went from venues with 3500 capacity to 20k+ capacity#you know that he's barely making any profit off of it#he might make a bit more than break even point#and his merch pricing given the quality seems very reasonable to me#there are artists out there selling tees for £100#you can see he really LISTENS to the fans and sees what we're talking about it and tries to make it easy for us to access things#like i'm pretty sure he knew about ticketmasters bastard ways and that's why he said a big fuck you to them#man i just really really really love him#he has such an affectionate relationship with his fans#and he's willing to fight for us#like not in a mushy way#but we KNOW how many times he's been sabotaged and YET he comes in blazing#and do you know what though. in a way all the opening acts he's had or artists he's endorsed WILL follow the same path as him#we already saw otp fighting for fair ticket pricing#and that's what matters#a whole new wave of artists are gonna look at him and be like ''man i wanna be as fair as him'' and fight for change#in the horrid music industry and i'm here for it#fitf is gonna be an album that'll put louis further on the map and there's literally gonna be no stopping him after that#he'll literally be a revolutionary and i'm so glad i get to be in his corner to see it happen#i know parasocial relationship and whatever and i'm putting too many expectations/hopes/projections on him or whatever

what do you think harries main issues with louis are? i’m a newer louie and i can’t wrap my head around why they are so hateful toward him. i understand liking what you like and disliking what you dislike but? louis has never ever spoken ill of harry and he stays in his lane. i don’t understand why they care so much and go out of their way to be mean to him. just yesterday the beatles biopic news came out so people then said they want something like this for 1d and a bunch of harries were tweeting stuff like "louis theater would be empty" , "louis would only make 1 us dollar at the box office" , "two of the movies would flop" and the same person that tweeted that then would reply being like "i never mentioned louis but see how they’re jumping me…" like stop being fucking obtuse we know how you guys operate???? this was kind of a lot but i just don’t understand what their problem is. maybe they’re just being hateful for fun but i can’t let it not irk me. i try to ground myself and be like …'whatever louis is talented and loved!' but it still eats at me and i think its mainly because i just don’t understands where they are coming from. i understand harries have a large ego due to harry’s own success but its still confusing
The reason, I think, boils down to this.
“We all have our own hardcore fan base that almost work as an extension of our personalities. I am lucky in that everywhere I go & every gig I play, the type of fanbase that I have is so intense that it creates for such an amazing atmosphere.” - Louis Tomlinson, TMRW magazine.
Harry’s brand, his approach to entertainment, is to define success by social climbing and wealth. This ethos defines Harry’s every public action. Harry Styles will never appear with a book just because he likes to read. Every celebrity he shows up with is there to promote and be promoted. Harry will wear clothing and jewelry like a billboard. His entire existence is to be a billboard. A new ring? It’s to promote something. New tattoo? Promoting something. Harries and Larries take this cue unconsciously, so they internalize Harry’s values of greed and power, using other people as they use him.
Harry’s interactions with his fans are always warm from the stage in front of cameras, but otherwise he’s distant, untouchable, unreachable. He’s available only to influencers and others who can promote him, to people who pay for access (Lane One, DEMAND), to the famous and wealthy. Harry Styles has truly exemplified (his friends) the Kardashians’ Principle: publicity, publicity, publicity. His fans learn from his behavior. They understand that in Harryverse, money and power are the ultimate values. Those who have less power and wealth are to be abused. Harry makes jokes at his ex-bandmate’s expense (Ringo etc.), and his fans are simply an extension of his personality.
Louis’ ethos is, in many ways, the complete opposite of Harry’s. Louis is in a position to sell VIP and dynamically priced tickets, and to charge for meet & greets, but (to Matt Vines’ frustration) he won’t. Louis has openly criticized “greedy fuckers” in the industry. Louis tends to avoid those in entertainment who play the social climbing game— he stays away from Ben Winston and James Corden, who are great friends with Harry, and to whom Niall sucks up. We might get frustrated that Louis doesn’t backslap and gladhand, but that is Louis’ principle. During the pandemic, Louis made Twitter videos advocating care “for the most vulnerable in Doncaster” and championed food aid for poor children. Meanwhile, Harry biked with Rande Gerber, drove in a convertible with Kendall Jenner, debuted a romance with Olivia Wilde in LA at the height of COVID deaths, and went to Michelin starred restaurants in Italy. Louis featured a grieving widower in his music video, Two Of Us, not an A-list celebrity or TikTok influencer nor wearing designer clothes he’s paid to advertise. Louis’ work ethic is basically to let the work speak for itself, not to sell it on the basis of marketing. This is exactly opposite to what Harry does.
When interviewers ask Louis and Harry questions, they are reflecting this difference in ethics. They interview Harry obsequiously, as if they are themselves subservient and inferior. They interview Louis from a position of power, ready to abuse him. They understand the hierarchy as well as fans do. The interviewers aren’t better or worse people than either men; they just act differently in front of them because of their industry power. Nothing illustrates the difference better than comparing two men from the same band.
Fans understand this dynamic very well. Harries are often the people in society who want to win at any cost, and they feel vicariously victorious if they stan Harry Styles, and even more so if they can piggyback onto Harry’s and his team’s contempt for others who are not as wealthy or powerful. Nothing illustrates this better than abusing the blacklisted ex-bandmate.

My brother works in bookings at Velez Stadium in Buenos Aires and he said it is only about 40% sold for Louis. Do you think he will cancel the show or change to another venue? I hope not 🙏
Any decision will be made by the promoter and not by Louis or his team anon. I do think understanding the structure of the music industry can help a lot with fan anxiety (although at a certain point the continued lack of knowledge suggests that fan anxiety is a feature not a bug).
In a non-indie tour, promoters take most of the risk of touring not an artist. The way it usually is the promoter guarantees a minimum payment per gig, and then there's a bonus if the gig sells out. There may be other bonuses and payment structure (everything is negotiated), but that idea of a guarantee and a sell-out bonus is a pretty common starting point (see this article). Often this bonus is substantial - and tours are based on achieving it (this is why undersells can make sense financially for artists). But in this case - I think it's highly unlikely that from Louis' point of view his South American tour was budgeted on selling-out stadiums, so not selling out won't affect the financial viability from his side.
The promoter appears to be working to sell more tickets (hence the promo hit). But there's no sign they're pulling out. Anything might happen, but to talk as if Louis will be the one to cancel a show for 40% ticket sales shows a willful lack of understanding of how the music functions.

"as someone who hasn't been to as of louis' shows the live album means so much to me"
I relate so hard to this anon. This is exactly what I felt. I haven't seen Louis and I booked my tickets for Lollapalooza Berlin for September. I was excited to see him for the first time but after listening to the live album I am even more excited!!! Because I want to feel that energy and he sounds sooo amazing live. I want to experience all that
I’m so excited for you cutie!!!! It’s truly a magical experience. I’ve been to thousands of gigs in my life, and truly the energy between louis and his louies is something very special. Almost entrancing. It’s different to the Harry crowd energy, which isn’t to say Harry’s crowd vibes are bad whatsoever, but just… the Louis Experience™️ is different. He truly is one of a kind, and the only kind of energy I can compare it to, is that of when I saw 1d.
Make sure to post lots of photos and vids and tell us all about your experience!!!!

I just found your account and read pretty far back in your posts. I can’t tell you how spot on you are and that I agree 100% with your opinion. Especially with the facts you’ve shared about Louis improving his shows. I have all the same thoughts and have expressed them on X and in my gc, but of course I’m overrun with how ‘toxic’ I am. I’ve been to a few of Louis’ shows and watch the lives and it’s getting worse instead of better- he really is losing all charisma he ever had with the lad act (drinking, not knowing lyrics, unable to sing and relying on his band for that, etc). What particularly drives me mad is the way the audience is sending him so much energy during the songs and he responds by rubbing his hands and walking slowly back and forth across the stage. You can see the crowds energy instantly deflate. I hope he/mgt takes your ideas into consideration. I really want so much more for him!
And lastly, Harry is my favorite of all time- but I agree with you when you said he’s a coward. I hate that though.
Hi, anon!
Welcome to my blog! It's hard to criticise H and L in this fandom without being branded toxic, a hater, a complainer or being entitled. There is so much blind idolatry and fan policing happening to make people conform and behave like sheep. That does not make for a happy and thriving fandom.
To make a successful artist you need two things. An artist who respects, appriciates and caters to their fandom, and a fandom who supports the artist. You need both to make a successful artist. Some people in this fandom believe that the artist should be supported regardless. Even if the artist doesn’t respect their fandom, doesn’t appreciate it, and only cater to their own needs while disregarding the fandom's. If the artist keep doing that, they'll lose fans. Fans have plenty of artists to spend time and money on. Artists need to fight for attention from fans and the general public. The artists who don't manage to hold fans attention, feed them, appreciate them and engage them will struggle to have their songs chart, have their tickets sell, get gigs like festivals and get invited to events.
We as fans are entitled to the bare minimum of respect. Louis isn't and hasn't been very respectful to his fandom majority, the larries. He's downright been disrespectful. We as fans don’t need to tolerate being ridiculed, called delusional or mocked. It's also not respectful to be late to go on stage, not knowing the order of the songs or your own lyrics. It's disrespectful to cancel a whole leg of your with a half assed apology and no real explanation. This should all be bare minimum. People have travelled hours to be there, queued for hours to get barricade and spend a months wage to pay for the tickets, travel and accomodation. Respect their time and money spent.
Fans need to feel appreciated and wanted. Larries don't always feel wanted. We also sometimes don't feel catered to when we get things we didn’t ask for, like a propaganda piece of a documentary, stunting or him taking the fan popular songs off the playlist, while giving us a random song cover. Fans are allowed to say, that's not right, that's not cool and feel disappointed.
Neither H nor L are perfect. They do have good and bad sides. Things they're good at and things they're not good at. They fuck up too sometimes. It's important to try to compensate for your shortcomings and mend your mistakes. If you can’t give your fans what they deserve or ask for, then give them something else that will draw the attention away from it. If you've fucked up, do better next time.
Louis is closeted and he needs to uphold a fake image. He's treating larries like shit, he's stunting, lying and gaslighting. When you can’t deliver on respect and appreciation for your fans, it even more important that he compensates by catering to us. His biggest hindrance to deliver on that is his self-confidence. It's stopping him from letting his guard down and being his charming and funny self. He can't afford to also not deliver on catering to fans, because he can't compensate on respect and appreciation. So he needs to give us exactly what we ask for and what the majority wants. Even if that entails wearing chinos and suspenders for a show. Suck it up.
We tolerate at lot that fans shouldn't need to tolerate for the sake of H and L's closet and relationship. If being a fan and dealing with stunts, fandom wars, being called a conspiracy theorist and your idol hanging out with horrible people is going to be worth it, then they both need to put on one hell of a show and give us albums of bangers after bangers. Or else it won't be worth it. The deal is off.

'5 Seconds of Summer have proven why support acts shouldn't be overlooked'
Daily Mirror (UK), 5 October 2023
'5 Seconds of Summer may have had a helping hand from One Direction but almost eight years since their last tour with the group, the Aussie lads have proven they're more than enough, writes Daniel Bird...'
Full article / review of The 5SOS Show Manchester below (link):
'Arguably one of the biggest bands right now, it's no surprise that 5 Seconds of Summer are continuing to sell out arenas.
Having seen the four Aussies at the start of their career, playing in venues with a capacity of 300 with tickets being sold for less than £15, to now seeing them at stadiums and sold-out arenas, they've come a long way. Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford, Calum Hood and Ashton Irwin first joined forces in 2011, uploading videos to YouTube and amassing a string of fans.
One of those happened to be Louis Tomlinson from One Direction, who invited the quartet to support them on their 2013 Take Me Home Tour. They went on to support the 1D lads for another two years on the Where We Are and On The Road Again tours, performing to millions of fans across the globe.
Tumblr media
But while they were warming the crowd up, the group were also busy with their own music, with early releases including Out Of My Limit and arguably their best track, Heartache on the Big Screen, they soon went on to establish their own name, 5SOS (five sauce). With this new-found fame came their own fans, in their thousands.
Tickets for their headline shows would sell out within minutes as fans packed venues to hear their favourite songs live. But in 12 years, they've proven that support acts shouldn't be overlooked. Many of us go to gigs, often missing the support act or not taking anything away from them but these lads were different.
Was it their humour? Their childish energy at times? Their on-stage banter with one another? That's something we won't know but their recent show at Manchester's AO Arena on the The 5 Seconds of Summer Show was certainly one of their best. Opening the show with Bad Omens, certainly set the mood for the night as Luke, Calum, Michael and Ashton delved through their back catalogue and delivered an electric set.
Tumblr media
Part of the show included audience participation, with a giant red dice being launched into the audience by Hemmings, allowing the crowd to choose the next song, with Voodoo Doll being chosen, much to the excitement of the 21,000 roaring fans. This opened a gateway for the lads to discuss their past, with Ashton recalling staying at a hotel over the road from the arena while supporting One Direction.
"About ten people knew who we were at the time, now look," he exclaimed while reflecting on their meteoric rise to success as he recalled performing at smaller venues before the band managed to sell out the biggest indoor arena in Europe. But while reflecting, the group looked towards the future as they stated their plans for the next few months are pretty empty.
Tumblr media
This, however, is for good reason as lead guitarist Michael is set to welcome his first child with his wife, Chrystal Leigh Clifford. Joking about his future, he laughed while saying he will be going from playing in front of thousands of fans to having a "house covered in poop" before Luke interjected, adding he will be able to teach Clifford's daughter how to wear make-up.
Anecdotes aside, the group certainly showcased their performance skills and failed to stand still for the cheering crowd as they made their presence in the arena known. Having seen the lads perform countless times, this was certainly their best performance to date.'

“Vancouver Scream! Let me start this gig how I start every gig. I want to say thank you to every single person in here for buying a ticket to come to this show. This is by far my favorite part of the job. I would not be able to do all these shows without without all of you incredible people so thank you. The last show we did might’ve been the loudest show of the tour. […] Let's have a good night. This is holding on to heartache."

Louis Tomlinson on ‘fully embracing’ his Britpop roots for new album and chipping away at past perceptions.
Louis Tomlinson unleashes his second album, Faith in the Future, on the world today and admits he had ‘a lot more clarity’ making this record in comparison to his long-gestating debut, 2020’s Walls.
The 30-year-old has already announced dates for the accompanying 2023 world tour, as well as special live in concert shows of the album this week and next in New York and London.
All of this comes despite the fact he only just finished his rescheduled 2020 tour dates in support of Walls in September, so keen is the singer to keep performing live for his fans now he’s finally had the chance to connect with them in that way again.
‘It was a very deliberate choice to go back out on the road as soon as possible,’ he tells Metro.co.uk.
‘That’s always the way I felt, they were always my favourite moments in the band [One Direction]. But it had been a long time coming, this first tour. I’ve been working towards this moment for a long time, four, five, six years even, so to get there and to finish it like we did, I just want to keep momentum rolling.’
He also says he’s ‘very aware’ of the expense of gig tickets during the current cost-of-living crisis, so if focused on putting on a ‘great show’ that will leave fans with a positive memory.
Louis reckons he’s managed to avoid the second album stigma after his music making with One Direction.
The chart-topper is proud of Faith in the Future, teasing the musical decisions he’s made with the album and how it differs from Walls as he learned to ‘fully embrace’ his own taste in songs.
‘There’s obviously that stigma that the second record can often be challenging, but I think for me it was different. I almost felt that more on my first record because I’d had the experience of making music with One Direction and at such a high level. There was a lot of… not necessarily treading water, but definitely trial and error on that first album.
‘It was almost like my development phase, but done in the public eye, and it had been a couple years since I’d released Walls so I had enough time to work out what I liked about the album, what I thought I could have done better.
‘So I had a lot more clarity making this record. I knew what it was I wanted to get out of it. And there was an element on my first record where I kind of alluded to my taste musically but never really fully embraced it. I don’t think I was quite brave enough on that first record, so I kind of ran with that idea.’
He adds: ‘I just wanted to kind of trust my gut on this record and also lean on the incredible artists that I worked with on it. And I’m really proud of what we’ve got.’
Diving into the tracks on the album a bit, Louis says there’s nothing he’s apprehensive about fans listening to as ‘in terms of my songwriting and my lyrics, my bread and butter is honesty really, so I’m used to people kind of getting an insight to me through my lyrics and through my music’.
The 30-year-old says he’s been ‘braver’ with incorporating his musical taste in Faith in the Future.
‘Out Of My System is one of my favourite songs – I just think it’s going to be really fun to do live. And Silver Tongues, that’s something I am excited for the fans to hear because where we start with Bigger Than Me and then where we went to with Out Of My System, I feel like it kind of sits in the middle of those two songs.’
Discussing his Britpop rebrand post-One Direction, which he leans into more on Faith in the Future, Louis explains the role it had in shaping him as a youngster and his musical development.
‘That’s the sound that I would say defined growing up for me. That kind of music is big in the North of England full stop and especially in working class town-forward-slash-just-been-made-a-city Doncaster. I spent a lot of my time as a young lad in this indie bar called Priory, and that’s how I discovered a lot about music that I’ve grown up to love.
‘And those kind of associations for me are important because that kind of perception – coming from a band like One Direction, you have to chip away at that perception. But that indie/Britpop/alternative/whatever words you want to use to describe it sound, that’s who I am as a listener, and I think that’s the way I am as an artist as well.’
Faith in the Future saw Louis write with talent from Hurts and Courteneers among others.
Now seems a prudent time to bring up the name of one of his new songs, Common People, and the inevitable link people will make with Pulp’s 1995 signature song. Surely that’s a deliberate homage?
Louis smiles, sharing: ‘I love that tune, so it was one of them [sic] where it was like, once we finished the song, “Do we change the title?” But it was, again, a little moment for me – when I think of that song – the original – it takes me right back to Priory, so because the song is about nostalgia and about Doncaster and about growing up anyway, it felt actually appropriate to have the same title.’
Let’s hope Jarvis Cocker agrees.
Discussing the songwriting process that went into the new album, Louis reveals that it was a ‘conscious decision’ to write more with other artists, to provide ‘a better duty of care on every single song’.
He did a multi-day writing camp with Theo Hutchcraft from Hurts, Courteeners’ Joe Cross and David Sneddon (winner of 2002’s Fame Academy), which produced songs Saturdays, Silver Tongues and She is Beauty We are World Class.
To break the ice, Louis took them all to the pub, where he came to a significant realisation.
A proud son of Doncaster, his musical education was shaped by the town.
‘We sat there and we’re talking and something that really had a profound effect over me was I don’t find myself in these circles loads, and they were talking about music like I talk about football with my mates, which is live and breathe it.
‘I think to be around these artists that a) have great experience and b) have great passion for what they’re doing, I think that shows in the record. Every song has its own importance and I think that’s the benefit of having these artists on board.’
In a recent interview, the former One Directioner, who was in the chart-topping band alongside Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Harry Styles until 2016, and former member Zayn Malik until 2015, hit headlines for confessing that he thought their hiatus would only last a year or two, that it took him ‘a long time to get over’ it and that it stalled the start of his solo career.
Reflecting on it now, he shares that his first post-One Direction song, Just Hold On with DJ Steve Aoki, which was released in December 2016 and seemed to come reasonably soon after their split, was all he had to offer.
‘When I released the Steve song, it’s not as if I had five singles to choose from, that was the only thing that I had that I thought was good at the time, really.’
He also admits to feeling ‘petulant’ and a bit angry in the wake of the band’s break as he started trying to figure out his own path to a solo career.
‘There was an element of my personal life giving me a little push as well and saying, “You know, now’s the time to start.” It felt relevant at the time but yeah, don’t get me wrong, there was an element of coming out the band at first, it was just kind of… And I think that comes from petulance, you know.
‘It’s not that I that anyone kind of made me feel that it was going to be back in a year or two years. I think that was me just putting my wall of security up and going, well, hopefully, it’ll be a year or two’s time, because I wasn’t ready for that. I wasn’t ready for the break.’
However, he’s now grateful for it as it led to him figuring out his identity as an artist.
‘I will say now, hindsight is a powerful thing. I really do enjoy having the ability to express myself, musically, and sometimes that’s challenging in a band – especially now that I really feel like I’m finding my feet, musically, I’m actually thankful that I’ve got this time. But as soon as I left the band, I was a little bit angry’.
He may be hitting his stride with his second solo record, but Louis did struggle in the transition.
‘It’s not as if I was sat in One Direction, speculating what a solo career might look like or feel like, it kind of just happened to me one day and I’m like, “Are you gonna do this?” And I’m like, “Alright, I’ll give it a go”, but I didn’t really get that mental prep to realise what I was going in for – so especially in that first year, first two years even, of my solo career, there was a lot of worry, a lot of unknown. I didn’t really know what was going to happen in future.’
When asked what he thinks the biggest misconception people have about him is, he brings it back to the type of music he’s making now in comparison to the days of One Direction’s What Makes You Beautiful and Story of My Life.
‘It’s almost an obvious one, it’s because I come from One Direction and there is obviously a major pop element in the band like that, that people have these preconceived ideas that I can only make music that’s straight down the middle pop, but that’s not what I grew up around.’
Smiling sheepishly, he adds: ‘The irony about that misconception is, if I still lived in Doncaster, I could see myself having the same opinion about myself! I’m very aware that you have to chip away at those perceptions, it’s not an overnight thing. So that’s why when I’m thinking about me really establishing myself in this genre, it’s a five-year, seven-year, 10-year project.’
Faith in the Future is out now.

Replaying Nancy Drew without cheating - Part Four: The Final Scene
Tumblr media
AND HERE IT IS....
Is The Final Scene the MOST brilliant game in the entire Nancy Drew series??
Hear me out. It has literally everything you could ever want out of a Nancy Drew game. Danger. Mystery. A ticking clock. A lack of pointless chores. An intriguing backstory. An amazing soundtrack. An extremely sassy Nancy. A caked up Nicholas Falcone.
I think the ONLY thing that is missing from this game, honestly, is length. I think it is well-known in the community that this game is too short, especially on replay, but I recently learned that this was the first game that HerInteractive put out on a 2-a-year schedule, so the development was rushed. After TRT, the company almost could not afford to continue making games, so they had to switch strategies. Technically, FIN saved the franchise. In that context, the only disappointment is that they didn’t have more time to work on this absolute MASTERPIECE.
Tumblr media
I also think my love for this game has grown after reading the book that it’s based on. Queen Simone Mueller was adapted from a boring male Simon Mueller, the talented Louisa Falcone was adapted froma boring male Louis Falcone. The Harry Houdini storyline was completely new in the game. Brady Armstrong having a vested interest in the theater demolition was also new in the game and made him a much more interesting and sinister character. I know that this book was written in the 80s, but Bess’s one-dimensionality (obsessed with food and boys) annoys me; much happier to see Vietnamese-American college student as the kidnapee instead.
Not cheating in this game was super easy for me. It’s another game I’ve played a dozen times, so even if I didn’t remember the exact sequence of events, I quickly was able to move the game along. I finished in under 3 hours, and that is with being consistently distracted by the NFL game my fiance had on in the background. Having three distinct days makes this game very sequential and hard to get stuck.
Some random thoughts I had during this replay:
1. Someone put this soundtrack on vinyl, PLEASE. I would literally murder someone to play this in the background while reading a book and smoking a joint on my couch.
2. Even as a child, I loved Nicholas Falcone. There is just something about a man with a passion. Nothing used to turn me on (still does turn me on) than Nicholas’s intellectual negging of a dim-witted Brady Charmstrong during the press conference. This was also the first time I really took the time to listen to the entire press conference from the ticket booth...pure gold.
Tumblr media
3. Speaking of the ticket booth, taking to Sargeant Ramsay on the phone is absolutely hilarious. Who is this voice actor? Someone find him and give him more gigs. And Eustacia Andropov? An incredible character and a treat of a phone call as well. WHO WROTE THIS SCRIPT?? I think this is probably the funniest game there is.
4. Let’s just go ahead and go through some of the best quotes of the game.  “I may have to cut this short, Hal. Someone just climbed out of my wardrobe.” (entirely unphased) “I think your phone’s about to ring.” “Take a breath and pinch yourself, because it’s reeeally happening: Brady Armstrong, in the flesh. Star of Vanishing Destiny? Go ahead, faint. I’ll catch you.” “Why don’t you tell that little grey troll that I think he did it just to keep himself from dying of boredom in this old dump. THAT’s my comment.” “Fight the power.” (a classic) "Mr. Charmstrong, do you find that your fans respond to you more in your chicken suit or curly wig?" “Maybe you’d better think about being ‘in on the law’ and ‘down with the truth’ Nicholas.” “More? I’m 96 over here. I don’t exactly have time to burn.” “You tell that Sherman Trout Eustacia said, ‘You’re not dead yet, Shermie, so get up and make yourself useful.’” “Armstrong: Uh, do we still like him or what?”
5. Joseph always scared the hell out of me. Even to this day. He is creepy and he IS a little grey troll. Why is he constantly trying to get me to leave the theater and go to bed in the middle of the day? Why is he lying about his brother Jake? Why is he always popping up in the most chilling way possible? I hate him. I suspected him from the very beginning.
Tumblr media
6. When Nancy says that Maya never goes ANYWHERE without her press pass...ma’am you are an undergrad student at Washington University. Please calm down.
7. Not sure if anyone remembers, but back in the day on the HerInteractive message boards people used to put all the games they had finished in their signature for all their posts. Some would just put a list of all the games, but others would get creative (including me, although it wasn’t creativity on my part as much as it was copying other people). Their signature would say things like “I have Stayed Tuned for Danger,” or “I have discovered The Secret of the Scarlet Hand.” FIN’s was “I have seen The Final Scene” and I still to this day say this whenever I talk about this game with anyone. Throwback.
8. I never would have figured out the gum on wand bit if not for the message boards back in the day, and my memory of it now.
9. This is a game that is more about the mystery and less about the puzzles. I loved this one, even though this is probably the hardest part of the entire game (besides the gum on wand thing).
Tumblr media
10. The ending is SO intense. Because I know exactly what to do, it is less so, but the whole thing still gives me goosebumps. That timer in the corner quickly ticking down? Hiding in the closet when the police do their final sweep? Joseph being an absolute psychopath? The focus knob breaking off? The KEYS? MAYA BEHIND GLASS?? TRYING TO BREAK THE GLASS WITH A SLEDGEHAMMER? JOSEPH BEING A PSYCHOPATH AGAIN?? (I can let it slide that defeating the culprit involves flashing them with a cheap prize from an ancient game in a decaying basement. It’s still so good).
11. Also, I have a print of this in my house right now because of this game. I don’t even know the artist, but I love it.
Tumblr media
So thankful to rediscover my love for this game. Can it top Treasure in a Royal Tower and Dexter’s sexy, raspy voice? Maybe not. But it is up there.
Next stop: DC!

Following his North American trek, Tomlinson will head out on a European and UK tour next August. That run of dates includes a concert at The O2 in London on November 17, 2023. Find any remaining tickets here.
In a four star review of ‘Faith In The Future’, NME wrote: “If ‘Walls’ found Tomlinson still figuring out what this part of his artistic journey should be, ‘Faith In The Future’ feels much more assured.
“It doesn’t reinvent the wheel of modern guitar music, but is a solid step forward as the musician continues what he’s acknowledged will be “an ever-evolving process”. Album two shows, though, that he’s very much heading the right way.”
Meanwhile, Tomlinson has opened up about his feeling towards the success of his former 1D bandmate Harry Styles. “I’d be lying if I said it didn’t bother me at first,” he said.
However, the singer said that he is now happy for Styles. “I look on Harry like a brother, man,” he explained. “I have a lot of pride for what he’s doing.”

Note
i’m so sad. i was so excited to go to the bangkok show. prepared everything from my outfit to my sign and even made a group chat with people i’ve never met to go with. literally everything was planned out. and then three days ago i notice that all tickets are marked as sold out which we all get really excited about bc yay louis sold out our show. and then last night i see all the rumours of the asia leg being cancelled but it’s okay bc it’s just rumours and probably just singapore being cancelled right? then i wake up this morning to live nation announcing thailand being cancelled first. and then i realise that they just marked the tickets as sold out three days ago bc they knew it was gonna be cancelled and didn’t want any more sales to refund. i simply don’t get it. smaller artists come here and go ahead with their shows even if they weren’t sold out. like there are literally so many artists i haven’t heard of that tour here. louis is bigger than all of them even if we think he doesn’t have that big of a fanbase in asia. the 1975 literally just had a gig at a much bigger venue than louis would’ve been at. conan gray performed at the same venue louis would have like a month ago. what i also don’t get is why it’s completely just cancelled. not postponed or anything, just cancelled. and all my parents care about is the damn refund so i really have no one to vent to. sorry for this lmao
dont be sorry, love, you're allowed to be upset. I'm so sorry this happened and I hope you guys get the explanations you deserve <3 sending you all the love!
