I have finally discovered where in Baldur's Gate's you go for your clubbing/casino/lounge/brothel*/BDSM scene/spa/etc needs. (*Sharess' Caress is not technically part of the city)
While technically lore from the 14th century, I see no reason it couldn't have survived the years: The House of the Lion is the Gate's fanciest festhall (aforementioned casino-lounge-club-brother-etc-fusion; they're designed to be adult playgrounds, not necessarily sexual, just somewhere to completely forget daily life and have fun). It's somewhere in the West of the city (I think) but the map in Volo's Guide to the Sword Coast is illegible, so I can't pinpoint the damn thing. It is - or was - popular with wealthy young people, who would gather to 'duel, gamble, flirt to choose bedpartners for the night, and parade their fashions and attitudes' cause a lot of noise, annoying the neighbours, eventually forcing the waycudgels (bouncers) to get involved.
It's used as a navigation landmark by Baldurians (the street junction it stands by is nicknamed the Lionsmoot, so if you ask for directions you might hear 'take a left at the Lionsmoot.')

What the heck. More Role Swap stuff
And some lore. Because why not.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Swap!Noah and Heather fucking hate each other. There is no love, not even the chance of a friendship. Noah thinks of her as a insect, a loser who couldn't get win the two seasons before (He watched Total Drama before to search for the other's weaknesses). And Heather wants to kick him off the plane herself after the Leshawna Incident.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The thing is that Noah is smart. 180 IQ, that good stuff. Team Victory were the easiest team to destroy. Yeah, a pair of strong competitors were there, but getting rid of them would be easy peasy if he got into the heart of the team, the strongest player. And that was Leshawna.
It was not that easy to get into her good graces, since he didn't posess the natural charm and looks that canon Alejandro has, but what he had was a brain, and a manipulative personality like no other.
"You know, Leshawna. I know it's a bit soon, but I think of you as a sibling. A big sister."
He hated his sisters. She didn't need to know that, of course. And oh, Heather tried so hard to warn her, to be a good pal and tell her that Noah was up to no good. But some fake tears and few words were enough to make the big girl go feral on the white pretty girl.
And there was nothing but pure, smug satisfaction while he saw the beatdown. There was probably something wrong with him. Did he care? Not really.

Bonus: Noah's sweden Sour outfit and some alenoah because fuck yes

a doodle guide to Woven's dragons:
Someone on our discord server asked to know more about the physical features of the different types of dragons in Woven, specifically so that they could design their own dragon oc's! Lark was happy to oblige with this quick little sketchy diagram, haha. She adds "they all sport an assortment of neutral colors that follow these basic patterns. You can get dragons that are all one solid color, or dragons where each indicated section is a different color. And anything inbetween [eg, all white dragon except for a black mane]. Raptors[bird] cover the range of hues pretty well. courier birds (who, like the wyrms, are considered a byproduct) got all the bright colors lmao."

Bihansthot, I have this kinda stupid question I've been holding since I got into mk fandom.
Isn't lin kuei located in earthrealm? I've been seeing people say something along the lines of kuai getting introduced to earthrealm romcoms, johnny making earthrealm references that they dont understand, etc. They left me confused. Why are they behaving as if they're living in a whole another realm? Please do enlighten me since I've noticed that you're a long-time MK fan.
Sincerely, an mk noob
Yes, the Lin Kuei is located in Earthrealm and it’s somewhere in China possibly in Hunan province based on Noob’s gear in MK 11, later it’s in Arctika which is also presumably somewhere else in China but no one’s certain where. Possibly Heilongjiang province based off of the severe cold we’ve seen seen depicted in Arctika, but it’s all just guesses.
As for the troupes you mentioned I think it stems from the Lin Kuei being a very traditional and secluded clan and most people think they don’t have a lot of exposure to the outside world which we see in MK1 is not necessarily the case since Bi-Han and Kuai Liang travel around with Liu Kang. The Lin Kuei is actually ridiculously technologically advanced and probably have a very huge world knowledge but most likely just the Grandmaster and his inner circle, someone like Kuai Liang may not know as much outside of clan life? At least I think that’s what people must think, it’s not a view point I personally share though. I think it’s closer to MK1 where they’re very knowledgeable about the world around them, have they seen something like Friends or Sleepless in Seattle or something like that? Probably not, do they know the genre exists? Probably. They probably don’t have a vast knowledge of pop culture, so Johnny having to explain stuff like that makes sense but like Bi-Han and Kuai Liang know what cell phones are and how to use them. I mean they build cyborgs for crying out loud. For lack of a better explanation people just like writing Kuai Liang in particular being very naive of the outside world when it’s probably not entirely true. 🤷🏼‍♀️
I suppose some of it might come from the MK11 revelation that cryomancers are Edenian, so maybe some people think Kuai Liang and Bi-Han are from Edenia? They’re from China though, at least in the Midway timeline they are and as far as I’m aware that hasn’t changed ever.
TL:DR people just like doing it because it seems cute.
Hopefully this helps clear things up a bit.

The story of The Royal Mage - UE Dust log
(im copy pasting some of the info i have written on my AO3 about these characters, because i have a bigger following here, and i know some people here dont use Ao3, so-) TW: gaslighting, death of loved ones, torture , murder and accusations of murder, classism and racism, and a character who covers their head taking off their veil ( not a Muslim character) if there's anything else, i'm so sorry please tell me!
WATER TYPE
"The Halfway-Unhinged Mage"
Dust - (legally Navarø (Romanized) - Meaning Fallen powder) Half Elf Wizard Rouge -> Wizard Age: 47 (20-ish in human age) Height; 5'2 Gender: (trans) Male he/him
His perception is so high he sees enemies that "Aren't there."
Was once the royal mage, and executioner.
if he had to choose between his scarf and his life, he'll choose the scarf.
thin - Horror says too thin
While working, he was ordered for a bi-monthly check up with the Seer, and they prophesied that he would bring about the death of his brother.
He was immediately imprisoned and tortured on suspicion of plans to murder and treason. And under months of torture, he went mad.
Nüu, hoping to escape his fate, goes to Dusts work room, hoping that he may have made some sort of potion or spell for immortality. To his glee, Dust had a potion in the work for what he believed to be immortality.
Dust wrote all his spells in a language not Common or Dûvan (the native languages to the island.) A version of Old Elvish, taught to him by his father.
Unfortunately, Nüu had mistranslated his brothers words, mistaking "Painful Death" as "No Death" and dies slowly and agonisingly.
When Dust hears the news of his brothers death, he breaks out of jail in rage, and forces as much raw magic into his body as physically possible, in hopes of restring him. It works - in a sense.
He drags Nüu's body to a small local island, before he is recaptured. As the potion Nüu has drank had traces of Dusts magic on it, and knowing the prophesy, they believed he had killed him purposefully, and, under torture, he was manipulated into thinking he had.
As punishment for his supposed murder, his hair is cut (a huge thing for an elven culture, as elf hair is considered linked to their magic, and takes ages to grow, to cut is short is betraying all that is magical of you) and he has all of his potions tested on him in retaliation.
One of these potions makes him endure the feeling of his own death over and over, and for a large portion of time, he genuinely believes himself to be dead.
Until another one is tested, making his magical ability skyrocket, and he breaks out again, kills his captures, sets fire to the castle, killing the queen, grabs what is left of his notes and runs.
Due to this potion, his magic is completely unlimited, but he refuses to use it after what happened the last time.
While he says he doesn't use magic, he's so used to it that he uses it for small things all the time subconsciously. Strengthening the shadows around his hood, making sure Nüu's scarf doesn't come loose, deepening his voice to a more masculine tone, and hiding his chest.
He's still being searched for. He's very aware of this, and is terrified of what will happen to him when they do.
Nüu's body will never decay, and is kept in the mausoleum Dust dragged him to. He is very much dead and cannot be revived, but his body will remain forever due to the large amount of magic Dust pushed into his body.
The ghost is real. A mix between the actual Nüu, and a manifestation of Dusts overcharging magic, which slowly corrupts him as it is incapable of harming Dust in any physical manner. The overcharge turns Nüu very twisted, and makes Dust very tired, yet he refused to use any of it.
Nüu was the head of the guard, which is why it was such a big thing to assume he was going to be killed.
He owns a very shaky version of a teleporting machine, which is how he managed to travel the large body of water between the island of Thuva and the mainland.
He has a large scar across his right cheek, that he refuses to talk about. Everyone thinks this is because its traumatic, when in actuality, he just to embarrassed to explain it from landing of a tree branch weirdly after using his badly made device. Though he has improved these over time with the help from Error, and has them made for the whole team.
The island of Thuva is vaguely cult like. Their plan is to create immortal warriors and take the mainland for themselves, believing it to be their destiny.
The rich stay rich and the poor are disposable. Most people don't know they're being used, due to the strong divide between their rulers, and the settlements being so far away from each other.
The island is mostly full of elves and half- elves ( plus a few humans) but the majority are full elves, who look down of the half and human settlers. All half-elves are made to act according to Elf traditions, while humans aren't allowed to do much, and tend to lack rights. It's horrible place really.
Dust does end up using his magic again, unfortunately it takes extreme measures for this to happen. Killer end up falling off a cliff several years into them being a group, which leaves him out of commission for a long time. He's mostly fine, minus a few more scars in the end, but he breaks a bunch of bones and almost looses his arm. Dust could have saved him from falling, and the guilt causes it to use it again. He uses a lot of magic to heal Killer, with both spells and potions, and continues to regularly use magic again, normally potions he makes from his own herb garden, and spells if they need to attack. - (this story has been written on AO3!)
This also causes Nüu to calm down due to the less overflowing magic, and come back to his senses, and he tells Dust the truth about his death. He tells Dust that what happened wasn't his fault, that his captures had messed with his head, and that he hadn't had anything to do with his death, other than making the potion that was supposed to make his executioner job easier. This messes Dust up for a bit, as his whole perception of what happened had just come crashing down on him.
Despite his innocence, he doesn't stop veiling all the time, mostly just because it a part of him now, but he does take it off more, and lets his teammates see his hair.
Dusts eyes are normally red, but turn blue when his uses his water based elemental magic.

Vad'koi and Tai'ytu
More designs!
Vad'koi, one of the craftsman of the Gladiators Blood clan is back. He's one of the smallest members of the clan, preferring to have a peaceful life in his tent and spend time with his maybe too aggressive mate, but that's why he loves her, the best blacksmith of the planet, Za'dqa (Or Steel Claw)
Tai'ytu is a very recent OC, he's not related to anything about that planet. Born on arctic zones, has some particular traits like wavy dreadlocks. They grow naturally as any other yautja, but the best option is to "curl", like compressed to keep blood warm? Idk is just a idea

I'm so sorry, I need to go into Lore...
Tumblr media
So... there isn't much power scaling in lore right. Venti says of himself he's the weakest Archon and that's kind of it (I think he's lying btw, but that's beside the point). I think Nahida and Rukkhadevata don't have any show cases of their raw power/strength, I think creating the Rain Forest is Rukkhadevata's doing. We don't yet have much info on Egeria and Furina. Makoto wasn't particularly powerful but a great strategist and good with her people, Makoto was the brains, and Ei the brawns. Ei's biggest achievement probably is killing Orobashi and cutting Yashiori Island up in the process. I assume she's slain a few other gods too during the Archon war, but I thinkkkk, there has been no explicit mention of it. But perhaps she's quite near the top. Murata in Natlan... I could imagine they might come out on top, because sheer force/power is a pyro thing. We don't really know anything about the Tsaritsa as far as I know.
And then there's Morax...
terraformed Guyun Stone Forest by hurling mountains at other gods
terraformed/raised Mt. Tianheng after Liyue was flooded so his people would be safe
terraformed Jeuyun Karst
one shot some random god that abused the fuck out of Xiao
ruthlessly killed numerous other gods (confirmed in lore)
dug out some random geo dragon, giving him sight like it's no big deal
creates life that somehow can flattens mountains (mind you how special the art of khemia seems to be for creating life, looking at you albedo who's oh so powerful for creating crystal flies no shade I love you bby)
was still more than confident to take on Osial, should Liyue not have been able to protect itself
BUT, ya know what had him struggle?
Azhdaha. Zhongli does state that he had a hard time confronting the eroded Azhdaha, "let alone seal him away" (Zhongli's own words). He called 3 other Adepti to help and they still struggled, so in the end Azhdaha's benevolence won, remembered the contract he had with Morax and he let himself get sealed away willingly. And see, the thing is; while Azhdaha has quite a few titles that mighttttt imply that he is the Geo Dragon Sovereign - Like, he's refered to as "Sealed King of the Geo Dragons", "Dragon King", "Lord of Vishaps", which is in line with how the Hydro Dragon is refered to, as well as the other sovereigns. (Zhongli does refer to him as THE Earth Dragon) - there's no confirmation yet. But you could probably make it a case that he's at the very least related, or part of the same race as the Sovereigns.
WHICH GIVES YOU TWO OPTIONS,
If you think he's the Geo Dragon, then - Geo Dragon without his full draconic Authority still overpowers an insanely powerful god + Gnosis + 3 Adepti.
Or
He's "just" some minor Geo Dragon (Possibly similar'ish to Dvalin), that still overpowers a god + Gnosis + 3 Adepti, which should speak volume about the sheer power of a Sovereign that has their full power.
... So like, I don't doubt that if Neuvillette gets his full power back by the end of 4.2's Archon quest, he's very much dwarfing Zhongli and would be, at least among the currently known/playable characters, the most powerful one.

Apparently, Shar literally eats grief and misery - she needs it to exist, "for human suffering is her sustenance." When she consumes your negative emotions it gives you a temporary high. This also applies to the suffering caused by some mental illnesses.
And that's how her religion works! She makes you fucking miserable and then feeds of your suffering, in a cycle.

Will the TSR MC ever catch a break from all the despair? ;_;
How does the MC match up in combat capabilities compared to other people of the world they were transported to?
Side note: The update was great ^^
I want to say yes but...that would be a lie. ;u;
Hrm...Well, the Bellos Empire have capable warriors and soldiers and have their fair share of monster waves and stuff...But MC has seen more brutality and tragedy so in terms of combat, especially Intrigue! or Combat! MC, then they can kill better and faster than the warriors and knights of the higher rankings. It's kinda like...MC is on par with the knights and warriors who actually fought the war known as the Void War (To put it simply: It's the war where the civilization and empire before Bellos Empire was completely wiped out). TL; DR - MC is more ruthless/numbing in the face of violence, deaths and horrors of war than a lot of the knights and warriors of the current era and can kill better than them.
Thank you for the ask, anon! :D

Do the characters get worried if you skip a day? Sometimes I’m too exhausted to play and I feel sleepy and don’t play until the next day
Well, if we're going off of the offline time dilation theory and 24 hours feels like 60 days or roughly 2 months, they are probably a little concerned when you stay away for so long, but much less so if that's not entirely inconsistent
Like if the range of when they can feel your presence is anywhere between say 8 hours (if you play first thing when you wake up and have a generally normal sleep schedule) to 32 hours (if you don't play for a full day and also have a normal 8 hour sleep schedule), that's between 20-80 days, or almost a month to a little past 2, so as long as you're consistent within that time frame there's probably very little worry
Now if you stopped playing for a week (1 year 2 months) or something, that would be concerning—
Now if we're not doing offline time dilation and basically whenever you exit the game the time syncs up with our time, and, by extension, the time that passes is the same both (more info about that in an old lore building post I made here), that would be even less concerning because you probably play for more than 24 minutes at a time, let's be honest here, so you would actually be more active in their world than you would be unactive
In that case, from their perspective, it would seem like your presence was there for anywhere between a day to potentially 20 days (8 hours) if you just really liked to binge game, and then only absent for a couple hours to a day, which is a pretty massive trade off
Either way as long as your scheduling is relatively consistent it's not going to worry them a whole lot, so remember to put yourself first and take appropriate screen breaks, just keep in mind that if you do happen to disappear for a week they might start sacrificing things, so—
