Doodle of my Hylics OC with a Wayne who is the personal guard of Lord Gibby. That idea is by @toxarts 🙇 I am borrowing him because my OC is from the Moon and uh... MOON’S GONE.

The talking head is Guguul. It’s pronounced like Kukul in Kukulkán but with hard g’s instead of k’s. Ghoulish Guguul. NOT google

Aw, man... I really don’t want to get into this for a doodle. Guguul is a maskrah, the “fruit” of the Maskrah tree. It’s a bizarre species that’s found in Gibby’s royal garden at the Moon Palace. There’s a TV screen on the tree that teaches the Gesture Imposture. Well, now I have to explain what that does... but I shan’t!

in july of last year, i posted art to this blog commemorating 1,000 kudos on long road to hell...

and now, in september 2023, i am thrilled to acknowledge the thousand more kudos it's gotten since!!

long road to hell has been... well, it's been a long road, hasn't it? i started writing it in 2016 and updated it once or twice a year until the past year or so, where i started picking up the pace. there's a reason for that: we're nearing the climax, and i get to write the exciting stuff now.

once it's done, i very much have a sequel planned! and who knows how long that will take to complete, but i'm hooked on this 'verse i've made for dipper and bill, and i'm reluctant to leave it when i have so much more to say.

i read every comment, even if i don't reply (and i do try to reply... when i remember). everything from emojis to sentences to entire essays about my fic have made my day upon landing in my inbox. if it wasn't for the outpouring of support from the billdip fandom over the years, i don't think the fic would be as far along as it is. i don't think i'd be quite as invested as i am.

so, genuinely: thank you. i would not be here without everyone who has read long road to hell. even if you didn't even kudos it--you better believe i am well aware of the nearly thirty-thousand hits it has.

thanks for giving my story a chance. thanks for caring about my versions of things. thank you for every kudos, every comment, every hit, every bookmark. it's gotten me through so much.

Humans are Space Australians, once more

So, in honor of my last post getting over 50 notes, I decided to make another Space Australians post. 

Jamming out to music. When we're in the mood to, we can get really into the music we're listening to. But most aliens just sit there listening to their music while they do rudimentary tasks. So boring. Why don't we introduce them to the human way of doing things...

Toxart was  very much not comfortable with being the 'exchange experiment' for the Terrans. For one, the way they did things was very unorthodox, and for another, they lived in a death planet, where everything from the foliage to the weather seemed to want them gone! But what Toxart found to be one of the most peculiar things about Terrans was their music. It was so...... loud. There was too much going on with it. Especially in the music the human 'assigned ' to him listened to. What had she called it? Oh yes, Natewantstobattle, such a strange name... Whenever she played it the music seemed to vibrate through him, shaking Toxart from his hooves to his antennae. Like now, for instance. She was in the living room (why do Terrans call it a living room if they do not live specifically in that room?), 'jamming out' as she referred to it, to her favorite song, StopRewind. 

He peeked around the corner to see wildly flailing limbs and hair flying all over the room as the Terran sang along to the...... song. 

 "When'd I become my own enemy I don't understand what you see in me cause I'm just another storrryyyy!!! Now you've got me pinned up against the wall why aren't you after that I'll take the fall? There's more that came before meeeee" 

 Toxart winced as the sound of the singing currently in the room was two very different ways of singing, one that could be taken as good, if you were a Terran who enjoys loud 'rock' music (although he is not sure what large particles of hardened sand and dirt have to do with music), the other, sounded closer to what he could only describe as 'a small Terran predator they keep as hostages known as a cat wailing '.

His many small antennae shook with annoyance. "Terran! Please turn that down, I am attempting to contact my podlings back on my planet, and have so far been unsuccessful due to the deafening noises located in this room!"

She turned around abruptly, her face turning a bright red as she registered the Toxart was watching her. 

"Oh, yes, of course! I-i apologize for that, I will do my best to keep it down!" 

"Thank you for respecting my wishes, Terran." 

With the sound turned down a considerable amount, Toxart went back to his quarters to continue to contact his podlings.
