Who cooks: Actually both, but Marie prefers baking over cooking.

Who’s more dominate: Marie, because Louis is so smitten with her.

Favorite nonsexual activity: Playing board games, especially Monopoly.

Their favorite place to be together: In their bed, all while eating chocolate.

Any traditions: Each time Marie goes into labor, she tells Louis that one of his subject wants to meet him. The first time, he is a bit taken aback until he realizes what she means, and it becomes a tradition. Also, Louis gifts her a piece of jewelry each time she gives birth.

i just love apple crumble with custard, especially with cinnamon, it's like a warm hug in a dessert and it makes everything feel better!

30. what reminds you of home (doesn’t have to mean house… just things that remind you of the feeling of home)?

there's quite a list of things! willow trees, cherry blossoms, cups of tea, board games and puzzles, the sound of birds singing in the morning, the smell of my mum's perfume and the sound of rain

hi lovely! my christmas has been chill so far. i haven't been doing much for all this weekend so i'm starting to feel 5% better. still have this nasty spell of fatigue but I'm trying to push through it (and i have to go to the doctor soon lol but whatever)

no plans for today. my family mostly celebrates on xmas eve since my sister usually works on holidays.

hey! just moved from sd, i think i remember most of the major grocery stores having chicken fat in the freezer section, sometimes in the dairy section next to the the mexican cheeses/crema. you could also try the mexican markets. good luck!

hey! i was wondering if you had any thoughts or info on mary seymour. i know we know next to nothing about her, and it’s thought that she died (very) young, but i’ve always thought it a little odd that we don’t have christening records or even know who her godparents were. i also find it strange that she was supposedly sent to live with katherine willoughby, rather than the herberts, or even with in the somerset household.

just curious if you had any insight!

Honestly, I really don't have much to go on, I believe she died very very young in the care of Catherine Willoughby or in the early stages of being looked after by her Uncle and Aunt. I wish William Parr or Anne Herbert were granted care of her or even Mary I. 

There are a couple of reasons why I think this:

She was the daughter of a Queen of England (not of royal blood though) and would have had the care as such doubtless of her father being a traitor, so we would have seen requests and records for her upkeep and who was granted her wardship as both her parents were dead. After 1550 nothing really pops up.

If she survived she would have been seen as a possible wealthy heiress not only to Catherine's estates but some of Thomas' too, logically if she was married or betrothed her husband/potential husband and his family would have been wanting some of her inheritance and would of in turn been granted a lowly title (in true Tudor fashion) related to her parents' titles and some land from their estates. No such thing exists. 

My other more wishful thought is if Catherine truly mended bridges with her stepdaughters - with the inclusion of the possibility of Mary I being her godmother - we would assume Mary would have been granted a position in one of their courts but no mention of this is made when we have mentions of Catherine's other relatives especially her brother William Parr.

saw a regional production of cats with the girls scouts when i was nine and was seriously uncomfortable the entire time. there were just these adults in cat ears and tails pretending to lick themselves and i was not into it!!!!!

earl grey: how do you take your tea?

okay I absolutely love making myself a cup of english tea (yorkshire tea is my favorite) with 2 teaspoons of sugar and a splash of milk, if i have any (mostly I don't, I'm not much of a milk person otherwise). Also I looove herbal teas but I drink those with honey!

irish breakfast: what country do you want to visit?

I can't list just one! France, Scotland, Switzerland, China, Japan, Russia, Portugal ... and that's not all lol

white tea: occupation/career aspirations

so I'm a qualified translator/interpreter so hopefully I'll actually get to practice that one day (it's the usual vicious circle of apply-for-the-job-with-5-years-experience-but-where-do-i-get-experience-from). The goal is to be translating fiction <3 but rn I work as customer support for a foreign firm
