"Blind With/Out Rage"

I just hope you ain't think it was gonna be different this time—

as if a black eye was invisible on a black woman or black men bein' choked didn't matter 'cause they was born suffocatin' or losin' a black child is redundant—they was already lost.

It ain't gonna be different. How could it? Like—

eyes are only useful when you open them and “in light of the evidence” don't mean nothin' in the dark 'cause you can't wish upon a star you ain't even seen yet—even if it's shootin' at you.

No, I ain't think it was gonna be different this time—

there's been so many eyes for eyes that the world's already legally blind and red is the only color left.
