The strength of "Living Witness" (S04E23, Stardate UNKNOWN) is The Doctor's commitment to protecting history and the truth. The ideas of historical fidelity and what happens when our legends overtake our facts is fascinating, and I would have enjoyed seeing more of the interplay of this tense society.
This one was tough for a poster. I had several ideas that just fell apart, so I settled on The Doctor in the midst of an incorrect recreation with the Warship Voyager.

Janeway gets a pair of black leather gloves à la Living Witness as an intimidation tactic for contact with hostile aliens. They take a liiiittle too long to put on when an enemy vessel hails, though.

Ok, listen, listen, obviously I don’t condone what evil Janeway did in Living Witness. But she was hot as hell with those black gloves and the short hair, that’s all I’m saying.

Voyager has a habit of putting the characters in really interesting situations that are still (unfortunately) relevant to current situations, but than ending on... really weird conclusions about them.

We don’t have a Mirror Universe idea persay but Living Witness would be brutal.

Do you ever think about how we don't see any of the regular crew in Living Witness? How we don't actually know what happened with Voyager, the Vaskans, and the Kyrians?

I imagine, in "Living Witness" one of the reasons the 'Blame it all on Voyager' explaination was able to get traction in a world where it appears Kyrians were still second-class citizens, was that it also partially absolved the Vaskins of the worst of what happened during the war that happened seven centuries before.
We know that obviously there was a conflict, to place the Vaskins in charge as they seem to be. Though there has been some recent shifting, they're still dominant.
The 'Voyager Encounter' simulation does pretty consistently put the Vaskin ambassador in a position, after Voyager starts the attack, of going 'no, no, this is too *far!*' and 'I didn't want *this!*'
Like, we don't know if actual biogenic weapons were deployed, or if 2 million Kyrians actually died in a matter of days, it's clear the historical record of that period is limited, but if there's a truth to those claims, it would seem that Vaskins, who very much don't want to be presented as the bad guys, would be happier with a version of history that blames Voyager for the worst of it.
