Although I've been buying the current main Batman comics for a while, I'll admit I have not read them in a bit, but what?
"Alexis Kaye, a disillusioned college student, embraced The Joker’s nihilism. Creating her own Joker toxin, she murdered her college dean, earning The Joker's approval as "Punchline," his new partner against Batman."
Fucking what?
And these clowns (derogatory) have the audacity to claim queer and/or female fans create Mary Sue self-inserts?
What the fuck is she then???

reading all these posts about asshole couslands are so funny to me because mine is literally the opposite and there's no bad bone in this man's body sjsksjsjs. the least problematic hero of all my da protagonists. :") like the only time he was truly selfish was when he let loghain do the ultimate sacrifice, talk about mary sue smh. 🙄 he was also morrigan enjoyer but kieran was human and they later broke up because he married anora (a diversity win for ferelden for having a trans man as a king sjsksjsj) and started fucking nathaniel howe. 😌
i was like "no way i cant believe this" and then you said "diversity win! trans king of ferelden" and he's bisexual??? like yeah that makes sense
aedan is cishet fuckboy trash through and through. his lil ego puffed up hearing morrigan and leliana fight over him in camp. i wanted to crush him like a bug. he picked leliana in the end bc she's andrastian which is still the MOST BORING REASON TO ROMANCE LELI. i hate him

I’m gonna be honest
I don’t see how adding diversity makes something political?
I don’t see how adding more diversity in body figure, gender, sexuality and race is political.
Like last time I checked none of those catergories came along with tax rates or about universal health care or any ecological policies.
Ideologies are political, identities are not.
And even if things do get political (such as racial bias and laws against LGBT+) I don’t see why it’s such a bad thing to have a conversation on it to induce more education on these topics-people are just cowards and feel icky about it cos they’re to lazy to help with anything.
No one says anything about ‘A Christmas Carol’ and that shits political, it literally talks about poverty and how people should have a more socialist mindset.
“Oh but that’s a classic”
No Brian, you only accept it because it was written by a white dude.
But yes in conclusion, even though these topics CAN get political it doesn’t mean it inherently has to and 9 out of 10 times it doesn’t. Especially in children’s media, it is not political.
Another thing is “pandering”, I don’t give a shit if something is pandering towards minorities, and it’s especially confusing when people complain about pandering. If you are confused about what I’m going on about here’s a scenario:
Rational sane person: “Oh man I wish there was more racial diversity”
Totally not white cishet dude: “Go and make your own show, we don’t want any Mary Sues in MY show”
*person makes their own show*
Totally not white cishet dude: “Why do people need to pander to these people ugh the real world is not like this... this is so forced”
Oh like Shia LeBouf getting Meagan fox in Transformers is not pandering? Just because the target demographic is not cishet white dudes does not mean it is forced diversity neither does it mean it’s bad media. And if it is pandering, fuck off , this is for me not for you and I think it’s pretty neat, if your gonna complain do it in that box that you obviously keep your mind in.
In summary is that I’m just really tired of the stardard A4 white canvas and I just want a little range in size and a painting filled with colour.

Do people seriously not know whose side we're supposed to be on in 'A game of you"? We have some conservative pricks who called their child a demon, a guy with a nest of malevolent nightmare birds in his chest and a spiteful witch who helped killing the main character...We're not supposed to share their viewpoint! It couldn't have been clearer they're wrong!
I know.  I know. These are literally villains by the purist sense of the word but because villains are bad, the author must somehow share their views?  It makes no sense.
The argument has deteriorated into “The Bad guys were mean to Wanda so that must mean Neil agrees with them!”
And a few stupid “He’s not your friend, he’ll never be your friend.  So why defend him?”  Uh... Because it’s the right thing to do when you condemn an innocent man.
And the most recent ridiculousness of “Stop bringing up that he won GLAAD awards.  They hand those out like candy.”  So they finally did reach the point of claiming GLAAD doesn’t REALLY represent LGBTQ people.  I knew that would happen sooner or later.  And yet these same people, less than a week ago, sang the praises of how the Rocko’s Modern Life Netflix movie got input from GLAAD as to make sure they did good by the Rachel character.
And ironically if you make them realize Thessaly, George, and Wanda’s parents aren’t supposed to be agreed with you get things like “Oh, it’s one thing to have Transphobic characters.  It’s another thing to make it your kink.”
How exactly did he make it his kink?   Seems like a desperate effort to save face after a terrible and repeated reading comprehension fail for most of Sandman: A Game of you.
This is what happens when you assume a writer for The Mary Sue is being honest with you and isn’t deliberately leaving out context in their articles and then spread the hearsay without actually reading the thing you condemn.
And “But he still killed Wanda off” (Even if you repeat again and again it was mostly to literally show her soul was always a woman to 1992 CisHet and LGB readers, who, at the time, heavily did not believe Trans women to “really” be women unless they medically transition- and there are people who still think like that.  So the condemnation is because he went out of his way to say “Look, she was always a woman, and those characters were wrong!”  Ironic.
“Do you ever read the books you burn?” - Clarisse in Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury.

Do y’all just... spite-love things even more when Fake Fanbois start complaining about it? And I’m not talking about real legitimate criticism of media, but I’m talking about “ALL THIS SJW BULLSHIT!!! SHOVING THEIR AGENDA DOWN OUR THROATS!! CAN’T WATCH ANYTHING ANYMORE!!!!1111!!1!”-complains?
Like, I liked the 13th Doctor a Normal Amount, but then with every single hissy fit from a Fake Fanboi, I loved her more and more.
Fake Fanbois meaning the ones who can only stan it if it’s about the CIShet White Man. Captain America literally fighting Nazis? Hells yeah! Captain Marvel? Nooo that is being too SJW with the themes of immigrants and also there’s a woman now.
The type that don’t question bullshit retconning about Star Wars lore but “STORMTROOPERS CAN’T BE BLAAACK”! And Rey’s totally a Mary-Sue! Even though they had no problem loving Luke, who was as much of a “Mary-Sue” as Rey now is; it’s called being a Chosen One Protagonist...
Every review of She-Ra that boils down to “I can’t jerk-off to a teen in shorts, give me the hot oversexualized 80s version baaack!!!” just makes you love her even more in her new uniform and with everything.
Learning that Supergirl included a trans superhero played by a trans actress through facebook comments from Fake Fanbois misgendering the actress and complaining how the show shoves its agenda down their throat.
Oh, and you get a full bingo-set for every “repetitive, unoriginal” from them too, just because the story’s been told a hundred times with CIShet White Men in the lead. Guess what? No one complained about the 99th male adaptation of this story for being repetitive or unoriginal. But the very first time it is told with a different POV, it suddenly is, despite that literally being impossible, because it is the first time it has been told from that perspective.
Don’t you just... get fueled by this kind of shit? When you already like it and are happy for the rep - either for yourself or, as someone who knows how it feels to be underrepresented, just out of human compassion for someone else to finally get some good fucking rep - but then you read the shitheads and your love for that thing just... keeps growing and growing??

and ftr it’s not “other people think slade’s hot and im jealous” it’s literally that i’m so fucking tired of, again, mostly cishet women spam tagging posts about how they’re so “weird” and “broken” or even any string of “psycho/crazy/bad” simply because they’re horny for him.
like
your taste in fictional, no less, men doesn’t make you weird or quirky or ‘alternative’????
again
you saw a buff 6′4 rich dude and got horny, that’s literally still the most boring type of fucking dude you could wanna go after. doesn’t matter that slade himself is A Mess when we’re just talking looks/type/what’s on the surface, yk?
and like idk what it is w a lot of cishet women too that get attracted to any dude over the age of 30 and decide to center their entire fucking personality around how they like “older guys” like ma’am you’re 25-30 yourself, wanting to fuck a 32 year old isn’t abnormal.
and also like for all my jokes about being an old man fucker, the odds are actually very low i’d date someone irl that was 8-10 years older than me because of my own comfort zones, and thats something i’ve run into A LOT over the years in different circles w other people that makes me willing to bet money all these fucking girls on this website making it a whole personality trait about how weird and quirky they are because they like older fictional fucking men are the same in that they probably also wouldn’t date someone thats actually that old irl, which just makes it even more annoying and ridiculous when they make it their core fucking personality. it’s one thing if like, that trait does impact your life but if it’s literally just you talking all the time about how fucking ‘weird omg’ you are because you like older guys while you’ve never like, dated any one outside your age group??
why. lmao literally what the fuck?
this is probably such a weird thing to be annoyed about but jesus fucking christ does it ever annoy the hell out of me.
and like i think one of the reasons it does is because it comes across to me as weirdly performative? like, it’s literally only cishet women i see doing this shit. i’m not saying ALL cishet women do it because i know they don’t and i personally know many who don’t, i’m saying there’s a specific type that does.
it’s like they see the way LGBT people interact w our orientations and how that can be a part of our personalities for some of us, and a big one too, so they just???? try to copy it?
but the core issue is that they don’t understand the why or the how on how we approach it and why it’s different, so they just look fucking ridiculous by feeling the need to spam every tag imaginable and talking about how “omg there’s something so wrong with me hahaha”. like if we’re gonna have discourse about glorifying or romanticizing mental illness let’s start with this specific type of person that goes fucking overboard talking about how they should ‘probably get a therapist, LOL’ or ‘be locked in a crazy ward!’ because they wanna fuck the Villain Of The Week on a CW show.
also there’s probably something that doesn’t set right w me either watching cishet women talk about how weird or WRONG their attraction is to these characters/celebrities that like.
isn’t unusual at all? in the grand scheme of things? lots of people are attracted to those very same celebs or characters?
like my people get called slurs and fucking killed for who they’re attracted to and fucking cishet mary sue out here is talking about what a “freak” she is because she wants to fuck JDM as neg*n or something

lmao imagine calling captain marvel basic and a mary sue where literally every other main character is a cishet ablebodied neurotypical white man
I may be just a stupid guy, but even I can do some math. SO Let's do some mathematics class.
US Population +300 Million
Non-Hispanic White = 63.4%
Hispanic/Latino of Any Race = 15.3%
Black/African American = 13.4%
Asian = 5.9%
Native Americans and Alaskan Natives = 1.3%
Native Hiwaiin and other islanders = 0.3%
Two or More races = 2.7%
Due to these numbers alone if you look at the cast of the MCU it is literally more likely than not that most of them are going to be White, Cis, able-bodied (They're superheroes.......), neurotypical males/females. Just based on pure mathematics alone.
As for basic, yes, she's basic... I'm sorry, but I don't judge characters based off of idiotic labels like CIS, CISHET, NEUROTYPICAL, Able-bodied, White, etc. I judge based on character design, motivations, plot points, decisions, and the framework of said characters.
Luckily, I don't go through an entire checklist of weird identifying labels and determine if a character is good or bad if they have a vagina, a penis, where/who they LIKE to put said penis or who they like touching their vagina, what skin color they have, and what disabilities thet have..... (Wouldn't that be racist, sexist, etc.?)
Why the fuck would you judge a character on fucking superficial shit when we ALL know that appearances, genitals, and skin color isn't what makes a character good or not...??
If that's how YOU judge characters I think you should do some introspection because people who tend to judge people by their gender, race, and sexuality tend to be sexist, racist, and Anti-Straight/LGBT-phobic.... Just saying.
