Wasted or Barely Drunk?

You felt alive and at the peak of your happiness. Dominik told you he was going to stay sober while you celebrated with the rest of Judgment Day for an incredible win. You felt guilty for not being the designated sober person, considering Dominik deserved to celebrate just as much. But the first sip of your margarita changed your mind, any worry vanished. You were a happy drunk through and through, but also an extroverted drunk. You sipped down many drinks and joked around with friends for 30 minutes before your mind wandered to more appealing ideas. And the group only followed your every footstep. Now while you were dancing and waving at your friends (who were right beside you), Dominik held you by the waist. His hands kept you upright each time you had absent-mindlessly stumbled to the left without knowing. You swayed in his arms and raised an arm above your head as you danced, dragging your body down his when the beat slowed down.

His hands accidentally slipped from your waist when you danced to the beat, and his head dropped to watch you go from the floor up. And all the way up to where your back was flush against his chest again. Dominik blows out a breath and averts his gaze from you, in an attempt to collect himself, but he is brought back by you stumbling towards the bar again. You crash against the bar and you lean forward with a dazey smile, thinking of the now sweet taste of alcohol on your lips and the thoughts trickling through your mind. In your time waiting for the bartender your mind wandered to where Dominik was, and why he wasn't beside you. Only to realize he was when he waved off the bartender when he got close.

You turned your head to look up at him with parted lips, your glossy eyes piercing a hole through Dominik. "Why'd ya do that?", you slur and lean towards him while talking, wobbly jamming your finger into his chest. Dominik wraps his hand around your finger and uses his other hand to wrap around your back and have you stumble closer to him. "You don't need any more", he replies and rubs the bottom of your back where he is holding you. You puff out your cheeks and look at Dominik's face, you could make out his face but nothing behind him. The rest was fuzzy, especially considering it took your eyes a few moments to catch up with how fast you swiveled your head. "jus- because you're cute, does notttttt mean you can take my drink SiR~", you take an approaching step towards him but you fall face forward into Dominik's chest with a grunt.

Dominik smiles and raises an eyebrow at you as if he has proven you wrong. You cross your arms, bumping them into his chest, "m' not even drunk" you slurred again. "Mami you are wasted", he laughs lightly and uses his other hand to touch your face. It was a pastime to occupy his hands, one of his favorite things to do while you were in front of him. Your eyes squint and you frown, "waste" you repeat back. Dominik caught onto what you were thinking the instant you spoke. He moves his hands and uses both of them to hold the sides of your face. He kisses your face all over, pulling back with a popping sound each time, "I meant you're really drunk baby, I'd never call you that sweet girl". You lighten up instantly, getting on the tips of your toes to kiss his lips. But you sorely miss, only kiss his chin, you giggled but Dominik was pouting to himself. He pulled your face up to his and properly had you kiss him, it was messy and uncoordinated and you tasted of alcohol but it was a kiss to remember.

When he pulled back you looked dazed but happy. Lost in a trance and mesmerized by the man in front of you. "Let's go home, how's that sound hmm?", Dominik kisses the top of your head sweetly. You nod and you brighten up instantly, turning around, his hands falling from your face as a result. And you are walking towards the dance floor like a fly to the light, with Dominik grinning and following behind you.

as someone who was sort of a fan of yansim back in the day but yknow, saw everything that happened, and I mean EVERYTHING, up to recent things

I kinda always liked the idea of the highschool setting, vaguely

I liked elements of it I guess

And I'd kinda see these 2 in a similar setting (SOOOO they're like, VERY much highschoolers in this MINORS, otherwise how the hell would they be in highschool in normal circumstances)

also uh, they both use she/he in this cuz I really started to like that

anyways, they are both like, sort of gamer nerds, with Puzzles wanting to create the best game ever, going through a lot of drafts and ideas, more of an introvert like, she doesn't make much friends because she thinks that takes away from her time to make Game.

Mario is the still kinda nerdy overenthusiastic extravert who picks Puzzles up fast, maybe like by seeing a cute charm on his bag he recognises and since none of her other friends are nerds she goes in faaast. Like very direct any everything.

He kinda steals Puzzles's heart by being so interested in his work and also like paying genuine attention without him asking to- That heart of hers is in TROUBLE. Her gay little heart.

don't really have an idea on what he'd make tho. Besides Mario butting in with his visions of Men in Love, like yeah, I made her a lover of the good ol yaoi here. Fujoshi even, I wasn't lying from the start. Sure the first time it was kind of funny but it's just kind of true now.

I have full faith that charles is capable of beating lewis, my only concern is having again two drivers with different driving styles, so how would development goes?

Just 2025 makes a bit more sense, like a last hurrah kind of thing before the new regulations kick in in 2026 (although it goes against everything he's been saying for years but I guess the Ferrari lure is tempting to any driver, maybe particularly if you're coming up to the end of your career and feel you don't have much to lose anymore.)

But even if it's just one season, I have a feeling it's going to be a very, very long one. Idk I just feel blindsided because this feels like such an extreme curveball from where I thought Ferrari were going and what I thought they were planning for their long-term future. Sainz isn't working out for you, okay, fine, time for a change. But this? Feels a bit extreme and out of left field 😭

Especially with Charles signing a long-term deal and all these implications that they're finally building a team around him and so on. Fans have been burned by empty promises before (ahem, Binotto).

I'm sure Charles will welcome the challenge and learn as much as he can, he's said as much himself, that's his approach when it comes to any teammate he may have, but from the outside idk it feels like we're at square one all over again. He's been with the team for five years already, he's worked hard to push the team forward and maintain morale and all of that, and at this point I think he deserves a stable team environment built around him, like what Lewis had with Valtteri at Mercedes, or Max and Checo, or whatever. Like for example I could see him paired up with Oscar or Alex.

Now with this move seemingly all but confirmed, it's like he's going to have to fight to "prove" himself all over again. And I'm just tired, man. 🥴 Even if it's just for one season it's the opposite of a building a stable environment for long-term success with Charles at the helm. I just hate feeling like they're potentially wasting Charles's prime years.

uhhh . ok. am i officially back? not uhh,, not really but all i know is: i can answer this one. whether i answer more, i have no idea- my amount of free time has run thin but i do know that i could do this pretty quickly. therefore! here you go!

no warnings other than.. the diamoms are.. the diamoms. they're not angels,, and uh cordelia is especially awful. that being said, tread carefully? i still never know how to warn about any works regarding this series bc.. it’s dark?? lol dl is it’s own warning.

cordelia is in complete denial. i mean, she can hardly believe karl loves anyone but her, and i highly doubt she took the news lightly. i also imagine her having a slight suspicion, because lets just say karl isn't exactly shy when it comes to spending time with his newfound love. sure, it might not be like.. extreme pda, but .. cordelia knows. she claims she does, at least. she thinks she knows this man to his very core, as he knows her. also, there's just.. something about the look in karl's eyes that makes her feel a sort of betrayal.

she keeps this info to herself for a while, but if anyone were to look closely, it won't be hard to realize that cordelia's being especially clingy as of late. it already hurts her pride enough, knowing that karlheinz has two other wives. but, for her beloved karl to be interested in a guy?? it's not something she could have even imagined, and it irks her more than anything. especially if karl's interested in a very .. 'plain' looking person. which is kind of hard anyways because cordelia has ridiculously high standards. will that stop her from trying to seduce them, though? definitely not.

cordelia will .. 99% at least attempt to sway the heart of both karlheinz (as per usual) and karl's love interest. and, if the seduction thing doesn't work on him? she'll make sure everyone in this messy situation is miserable. if she can't be happy with karl, no one else can be.

beatrix is shocked, but you will hear and see none of it. stone faced as always, no matter how she finds out of the news, she won't respond in anyways. deep down, i genuinely think she would be unbothered. in fact, she almost admires both karlheinz and his lover- it's a bold move. especially when there's so much... baggage involved. and by that, i mean : cordelia, christa + karl's millions of kids.

she's not supportive, nor is she against it. beatrix has always been one to stick to herself, and i highly doubt her and karl's new love interest will interact often, or at all, period, but truthfully, she wishes his new lover luck. she won't get in their way, but she knows there are others who will.

also i still.. i still feel that energy from her. who's to say she doesn't have a secret lady lover??? hm??

christa's heartbroken, but she would be no matter who karlheinz got with. she's .. going through a lot. like, a ton. it was hard for her to accept the fact that he had previous wives, but, with karl’s reassurance that she’s his true love, everything is okay. christa trusts karlheinz, at least, on some days, so .. there’s no way he could love anyone but her. i imagine christa being the last to find out, for some reason. i mean, i guess it makes sense because she’s kind of isolated and like.. locked away most of the time but.. idk. there’s also a part of her that literally will not process it. ..it makes her mental state in an entirely worse state than it was already, for multiple reasons. first, karl lied to her. did he? she is the one he loves the most, so why..?? ?why is she hearing all this stuff about him having a new lover?? with a guy, at that, too.. she’s in denial for the longest time but it’s also because she genuinely doesn’t believe it. hell, she doesn’t even know if she’s just hearing lies or not- even if she saw physical proof, i feel like she’d think she was hallucinating or something.

once she’s past all of that, she shuts herself off. she’s completely heartbroken. empty. there was a part of her deep down that felt like karl never truly loved her, but at least she knew she was the favorite wife - again, as per karl’s reassurance.

honestly, if she were in a better mental state, i can see her genuinely worried for this guy. she loves karl, or at least harbors some sort of true feeling towards him, and her pity for his new lover isn’t out of hatred, it’s an actual concern. as much as she loves her husband, christa is very well aware that he’s never up to any good, and there is a part of her, deep down, that would feel bad for his new partner.

Jackalope: One of the prisoners has tried to injure the two other prisoners, who are also some of the most vulnerable ones here.

Jackalope: One prisoner is now trying to do literally anything to make others pay attention to him, which doesn't always end well.

Jackalope: And there also was a prisoner who tried to kill himself-

Eiji: ENOUGH!

Eiji: I.. Now I understand.

Eiji: You really do know everything.

Jackalope: Haha, of course I do. Now, I'll just get straight to the point.

Jackalope: Eiji, you remember how the trial system works, right?

Eiji: Me and Guard 002 have to discuss everyone's crimes and we have to make a decision about their verdict.

Jackalope: And would you say it's hard to make those decisions?

Eiji: .. Why don't you tell me that yourself if you've been watching us all this time?

Jackalope: Wow, look at you, acting so brave already!

Jackalope: I thought you had more respect for this place.

Eiji: .. Sorry.

Eiji: It is.. hard. Me and Guard 002 have completely different opinions and values, she thinks we should forgive all the prisoners and their crimes don't matter, meanwhile I think they all deserve to die for their sins.

Eiji: So.. we often end up arguing because of that.

Jackalope: Can you say that the first trial has been stressful for you?

Eiji: .. Well, it's only the first trial, so it's natural that we're only getting used to this-

Jackalope: It takes a lot of time to come to the same conclusion, doesn't it?

Jackalope: You want to punish all the prisoners here, meanwhile Guard 002 wants to forgive them. You two couldn't be any more different than this.

Eiji: .. Yes, I don't agree with her opinion most of the time, but I still think she deserves to be a guard. She has a reason to forgive them and when she explains it, she's able to convince even someone like me that these murderers deserve a second chance.

Jackalope: Judging by the results of the first trial, one might say that she's too good at it.

Eiji: .. Of course, you know about that too, don't you?

Jackalope: I have to say, these results have.. surprised me a bit.

Jackalope: All of these people are murderers and some of them committed the worst and scariest crimes you can ever imagine, but..

Jackalope: Most of them have been voted innocent. Actually, all but three of them were forgiven.

Jackalope: I guess Guard 002 really is good at her job, isn't she?

Eiji: Are you.. disappointed?

Eiji: I promise I will be more strict with them this time. I won't hold back. I will make sure everyone gets the punishment that they deserve-

Jackalope: I'm not here to tell you what's good and what's bad to do.

Jackalope: You can judge them in any way you want, I couldn't care less. You can vote all of them innocent or you can vote all of them guilty if you want. You don't even have to judge them based on your morals or whatever. Or you can vote them based on that, if you want.

Jackalope: Also, who am I to tell you to stop agreeing with a pretty girl all the time?

Jackalope: But again, you two are completely different people which makes this whole voting process a unique and interesting experience, but also..

Jackalope: Would you say that this voting system is flawed?

Eiji: ...

Eiji: N-no, of course not..

Jackalope: You deserve to be praised for being so loyal to this place, haha.

Jackalope: And yes, I think making two guards judge a prisoner can actually be better than just making one person choose.

Jackalope: What if that person is a coward who's too afraid of making any decisions? What if that person doesn't want to take that responsibilty? What if they just refuse to vote?

Eiji: Actually.. what happens if you refuse to vote?

Jackalope: Anyway, I'm sure you two have thought at least once about just.. not agreeing with each other and not wanting to change your mind.

Eiji: .. I guess so, yes.

Jackalope: So, Eiji, can you tell me what happens when two people can't come to the same conclusion at all and they just can't make a decision?

Eiji: Wait, but what if we just.. vote the way that we want to vote? What if Guard 002 votes someone innocent, while I vote that person guilty? What happens next?

Jackalope: *sighs*

Jackalope: Can you not answer my question with another question?

Eiji: Oh, sorry.

Eiji: I guess.. They try to find a compromise in some way?

Jackalope: But what if they can't do that? I don't think you can do something like that so easily when you have to decide whether you want to forgive or punish a murderer.

Eiji: I..

Eiji: Well, I don't know. That will probably end with a fight.

Jackalope: Hm, so your mind immediately jumped to that, huh..

Jackalope: Is it because you're used to solving problems that way?

Eiji: Wait.. I remember. Prisoner 002 has an older brother, Prisoner 004 has an older brother and a younger sister, Prisoner 006 has a younger brother, Prisoner 009 has an older brother and two younger sisters and Prisoner 010 has a younger brother.

Eiji: If you're hiding someone's sibling, it has to be-

Jackalope: Eiji. Does this mean that you don't want to do all of this anymore?

Jackalope: Does this mean you don't want to be a guard anymore?

Jackalope: Do you really want to let Guard 002 forgive your brother like that?

Jackalope: Listen, I also wasn't a fan of this whole concept of "choosing the prisoners' siblings as the guards". Doesn't that sound like a cheap plot twist? What, is this some kind of drama?
