was just thinking about how amazing it is that weird wonderful world and ghost files exist at the same time from the same company. you have the same minds, the same hosts, the same team and yet the shows are like day and night. www reminds us of the wonder and whimsy and joy all around us while ghost files showcases the world's darker side in its tragedies and horrors. and that they're able to execute both shows each with its own finely-tuned aesthetic and its own little universe is really a beautiful display of how much Talent and Love exists at watcher and it's so so special.

MANY artists take requests randomly. this isn't the original anon, I just saw your post&was blown away by how rude it was. this anon wasn't even rude. artists are always putting out informationals with like guides on how to speak to them&it's the so egotistical&rude&controlling. Mate, I said "no hard feelings just letting you know this ask came across as rude" after we had a bit of a giggle about how funny it is that they hadn't stumbled upon the specific kind of fanart they wanted to see when IMO it's extremely common in the fandom, and then pointed them to another artist who had already drawn what they wanted to see.

"Don't ask/hint at artists to draw you things for free" is not being rude or demanding or egotistical, it's just a firm boundary. It's not a minefield to navigate, and artists who accept random requests usually say so somewhere in their bio/about. I also think blocking the poor anon would've been way more harsh and unnecessary than letting them know how their behaviour was perceived, cuz if they keep doing it, some other artist is going to be way meaner about it.

If I had to label it, I'd call Billdip proship for sure. You really need to consider what often goes into the classic billdip dynamic; all the tropes and cliches that give it a particular flavor, as well as a "problematic" flare.

Your typical "Bill Takes Over the World and Dipper Makes a Deal That Saves His Family But Now He Belongs To Bill" fics, or the ones where Bill turns Dipper evil or just straight up possesses his body. Most of what Billdip is revolves around a power imbalance. If not, it's Bill being pushy and possessive. It's important to note that what's "problematic" varies between viewers, and while most Billdip shippers probably don't pay any mind to it, it's good to keep in mind that those who don't are going to process this relationship through the lense of canon. They don't see what we see. Explain what Billdip is to anyone out of the loop, and they imagine a 12 year old boy and a literal triangle.

The term "Proship" in of itself it pretty subjective. It really depends on where you draw the line, if at all. That being said, I've gotten pretty deep into things, and I'd say Billdip's one of those ships that doesn't have any particular Does or Don't, fandom-wise. Gore, sexual slavery, manipulation, age gaps, power imbalances. It's very prevalent in the Billdip community, and I'd go so far as to say it seldom pulls punches. Which I love.

Evan is the better dancer, especially due to his hispanic heritage and being a stuntman as well. He is naturally at ease in his body, fast on his feet, comfortable. Gaya enjoys the indoors more so she can have all the privacy she needs when its just them.

They both a dog person. Evan is confortable around them and they are comfortable around him as well. Gaya is into big dogs, the Kangs have many dogs they go hunting with. Yes, she likes Big Scary Dogs (grrr) - but often ends up with Navi snoozing on her thighs, that's Evan's bunny.

Evan is definitly more social, in fact during gatherings, people naturally go to him to talk to him. Evan is. He doesn't necessarily plan "things". Him being spontaneous actually simply lead them to share simple times together in places that happen to be romantic : on a roof, in the grass, after a long drive, in a foreign country, on a beach. He cannot stay still and so whenever she follows him, adventures naturally follow and it does feel romantic.

Who takes up more space in the closet?

They both take so much space in the closet due to the tons of clothes they receive from brands. Also Evan's clothes are a little more fun than Gaya's who mostly wears woman suits, a lot of black and white even though she has pretty dresses. Sometimes she would grab one of his shirts to lounge in them. She looks a little more gentle , a little solfter when she wears his colors.

Who has more of a sweet tooth?

Gaya has a sweet tooth but doesn't admit it so whenever he happens to order a piece of cake or whatever, she pretends she wants to "taste" but ends up eating all of it.

They both drink often as they often celebrate or often attend events and gatherings. They also have parties on their own, in their hotel rooms for example and like to get tipsy and have fun.

Who is most likely to laugh during a serious situation?

Evan is. Which causes Gaya to tell him to Be Serious. Gaya is Oh so serious however, he clearly has a positive impact on her which causes her to laugh as well when he starts laughing. So in the end, it's both of them laughing.

but anyway as a thesis statement it's mostly about how much faith you put into the evidence of your senses, and also the intrinsic gulf of understanding between all people. there's a fundamental youness to every person that never quite gets communicated through interactions. and then imagine the youness was erased from reality entirely, and then something else came in, a blank slate, unmolded clay, and tried to reconstruct the you out of the them; out of what everyone else thinks that person was like.

say the slate can perceive those thoughts and those preconceptions perfectly. could they be a perfect you even just from an external pov? how many people could they convince that they were the one they were replacing? because they can perfectly mimic what the other expects them to be like—but that's regardless of whether or not that perception is correct. they have no idea if that conversation partner misperceives them, is overlaying their own biases or malformed beliefs onto the personal idea of them.

so that's dusk and helic. continually-updating copies of deleted people, trying to convince society at large that they haven't changed at all.

meanwhile they're cooking in these bad templates, all these people who half-know them or don't know them at all, immediately judging them based on a scarce glance. meanwhile that snap judgement becomes a part of them because they're such well-polished prisms, they're made to be mirrors.

and then barry and emmet show up, and after months-to-years of these bad copies, they're faced with the two people who know their original basis better than anyone in all the world. and oh god, oh fuck, they had it all wrong. they've got to scramble in the milliseconds they're given to try and throw up a better front; how was dusk supposed to guess how much dawn liked touch, that it would be immediately and distressingly wrong for her to not tackle-hug her friend after so much time apart? how was helic supposed to intuit that it wasn't just a resting face, ingo never really smiled, but his subtle-shift version of a 'smile' was immediately recognizable to his loved ones anyway? they didn't know, they were perfect mirrors but they didn't ever really know—

...on the other end of this, though. the b-side and the first thesis. you thought you lost the most important person in the world and now they're standing in front of you again, and you, right now, gun to your head, say that they're not real. it's not even a matter of wanting, this isn't about pretending to themselves because they want it to be true. it's just that—it's been a while, they've gone through so much, and so much more importantly, what if you're wrong? are you willing to gamble on the chance that you've just told the real them you've changed so much that i don't even recognize you as yourself anymore?

but more generally "i think they've been replaced by a construct" is a completely bonkers thing to say about someone unprompted. if we're talking snap judgements then humans really prefer it when things go how they expect. it makes way more sense for the thing that walks like dawn and talks like dawn to actually be dawn, ditto with ingo. so then the question becomes, once they get cozy with that assumption, how much doubt does it take to make that mental jump? how high do you need to stack the differences before it tips?

on both sides it's about believing one thing, without even really having to think about it because duh, of course, and then the slow realization creeps up on you from behind, that the entire time, you've been horribly wrong.

dennis finally sorta acknowledges his attraction to men and starts a relationship with this random guy using a Dennis’ Relationship Standards Checklist he created that the guy has to sign. his bpd makes him deeply attached + really vulnerable way too soon without realising it, and he starts talking about himself, but the guy is really weird and says stuff in response like “y’know, i always had an interest in psychopaths.” dennis feels uneasy about it way too late and the guy ends up ghosting him because he isnt living up to the expectations he had of being with A Crazy Person (the whole situation backed dennis into a corner and really changed his demeanour), and a month later the guy is at paddy’s and dennis yells at him to fuck off, but then dee shows up and is like “why are you yelling at my boyfriend??” fully aware that dennis had a relationship with him, but not knowing any details
