I’ve been seeing a lot of meta about evil Supermen, so I’m gonna pitch my idea for E136/3 Ultraman.
I don’t know if he’s Kal L or maybe Tal Rho, but the big divergence here is that he isn’t raised by the Kents.
He’s raised by Lionel Luthor.
He’s the CEO of L-Corp on top of being Ultraman, and his identity is probably public knowledge.  He’s not just the man who has everything, he’s the man who has everything and wants *more*. He doesn’t look at a situation and think “How can I help?” he’s thinking “How can this help me?”.
He has a Homelander/Morgan Edge energy about him, especially that feeling of “Hey! That’s Ultraman! He can help us! Right...right?”
Leo “Quintum” Luthor, by contrast, has just enough self awareness to take a step back and realize that Ultraman isn’t evil because he’s an alien, he’s evil because he’s both a beneficiary and an active participant in an innately corrupt power structure, one that Leo himself also benefits from. Also there was definitely favoritism in the Luthor household, and Leo wasn’t the one on top.
Sidenotes:
This world’s version of Superboy is called the Kryptonite Kid. He’s actually a nice young lad.
This world’s the “evil” world because the people with power, who in E136 proper decided to help people with it, aren’t doing so for whatever reason. More a funhouse mirror than a simple role reversal.
Expanding on this, Wonder Woman never rejoined Man’s World, she’s still  cloistered on Themyscira, content with her lot in life.
Martian Manhunter equivalent is just a cop. Devoted to absolute law, absolute order, and absolutely not justice. They’re Inspector Javert, obedient to the power structures.

SUPERGIRLS
Super-Girl
Tumblr media
A superheroine wished into existence by Jimmy Olsen
2. Queen Lucy of Borgonia
Tumblr media
the queen of a fictional latin american country named Borgonia. She became queen because her parents died, and a Count named Norvello, kept her hidden from the public, in the hopes that she wouldn't steal the hearts of her citizens and allow him to quietly rule the country with an iron fist.
3. Linda Lee Danvers/Kara Zor-El (Earth-One)
Tumblr media
The original that sacrificed herself to save the multiverse/remaining people of the surviving universes. She was brought back in "Many Happy Returns" but then goes back to original Earth-One. I think she's now alive somewhere because of convergence??? She also showed up as Linda Danvers's guardian angel and visited Deadman on Christmas. She's met the original legion
4. Ellie Leeds
Tumblr media
She was the first to discover Supergirl's arrival, but was exposed to X-Kryptonite and fell into a coma. When she awoke years later - after a chance meeting with Supergirl - she started exhibiting Supergirl's powers, and also believed she was the Girl of Steel.
5. Louise-L
Tumblr media
the Supergirl of the 5020th Century; She traveled back in time, to prevent the goals of some villains named Toxus and Tal Belok
6. Matrix/Mae Kent
Tumblr media
Matrix, a protoplasmic creation of an alternate universe Lex Luthor. She's met the reboot legion
6/7. Earth-Angel of Fire Supergirl
Tumblr media
Linda Danvers, who fused with Matrix to become an Earth-Angel
7. Linda Danvers
Tumblr media
Linda and Matrix unfuse and Linda goes on an adventure to find Matrix. I think she's met one of the legions?
8. Ariella Kent
Tumblr media
Linda Danvers's daughter who was saved from the pre-crisis multiverse, and now exists in the future. She has pre-crisis kryptonian level powers
9. Cir-El
Tumblr media
thought to be Superman's daughter from the future, but was actually a personality grafted onto a separate person made by a future version of Brainiac to ensure that version's existence
10. Linda Lang/Kara Zor-El
Tumblr media
The Post-Crisis version of Supergirl, I think much of the weirdness in her origin was because of Kryptonite poisoning? She's met threeboot legion
11. Kara Zor-El/Kara Danvers
Tumblr media
The New 52 and onwards version of Kara Zor-El Supergirl, they showed much more of Argo's history in this version
12. Kara Zor-El/Karen Starr, First Supergirl, later Power Girl
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The New 52 Earth 2 version of Karen Starr, she has a similar origin to post-crisis and new 52 Supergirl where Superman grew up before she arrived on Earth, but like Earth-Two, the Superman and Lois of her world basically adopted her. She became Power Girl due to getting stranded on Earth 0
Karas
See Linda Lee Danvers
Kara Zor-L/Karen Starr (Earth-Two)
Tumblr media
(*sigh* also known as Paige Stetler) from Earth-Two, second Kara introduced, for a time, she was Atlantean. She is the only survivor of Earth-Two, except something something convergence :
3. Kara from Superman/Aliens
Tumblr media
The third Kara introduced, she is from a space colony named Argo (not the Kryptonian City, but instead from a planet named Odiline) that got destroyed by Xenomorphs, She and Superman tried to save the last Argonians, but they failed
4. See Kara Zor-El/Linda Lang
5. Kara Zor-L/Karen Starr (Earth 2) (Post-Infinite Crisis)
Tumblr media
A Power Girl from Earth 2, which seems to be a universe much in-line with Earth-Two, although there are differences here and there
6. See Kara Zor-El/Kara Danvers
7. See Kara Zor-El/Karen Starr
Honorable Mention Kara (She hasn't interacted with main continuity): Kara In-Ze
Tumblr media
the DCAU version of Supergirl. She comes from Krypton's sister planet named "Argo," she was adopted by the Kents, but then decided to stay in the future in the legion
Laurel Kent, despite not being here for Supergirl or Kara reasons, she is here due to Supergirl and the legion
Tumblr media
She was initially introduced as Clark's descendant. For some reason, despite being in the future, Legion of Superheroes had tie-ins for event annuals. Superman editorial (presumably because of Byrne) wanted to get rid of all kryptonians, so guess what happens during Millenium:
Tumblr media
anyways. the reason she is on this post:
Andromedas
Laurel Gand/(was called Andromeda pre-5YL) (5 Years Later)
Tumblr media
Due to editorial mandates, Kara was erased from the legion's history. Laurel Gand, a distant relative of Lar Gand takes her place. She basically has the same history as Kara except Khunds keep on trying to kill Daxamites
1.5/2. Laurel Gand/Andromeda (SW6)
Tumblr media
A time paradox duplicate of Laurel Gand.
3. Laurel Gand (Earth-247)
Tumblr media
She's a literal xenophobe now. She gets better and becomes a nun to atone
Misc?
Sensor Girl
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(so she doesn't actually count, but it was noticeable enough to mention)
Lesla-Lar
Tumblr media
Lesla-Lar was a kandorian scientist, who was an orphan that took the last name of her best friend Zora Vi-Lar. She was killed by phantom zone criminals she released, but then became a ghost where she still troubled Supergirl. Her initial plan was to replace Kara as Supergirl Also Lana Lang with a helmet
Tumblr media
The helmet supposedly gives superpowers to those who wield it - but it does not. Superboy tricks Lana into thinking it does due to Clark wearing the helmet while bullets bounced off of him

Some season finale thoughts:
- “Maybe I should tell her that more often [that he’s proud of Lois].” Those are some famous final words...
- You know, aside from missteps here and there, I actually like how they’ve been building Jordan and Sarah’s tumultuous relationship. Two kids brought together by their issues, but that don’t know how to be together because of these issues. I also like that they clearly just not meant to be and the show acknowledges that.
- Looks like Bruno’s involvement isn’t over. Good because I’m looking forward to see a confrontation between him and Lex.
- My biggest fear regarding the budget cuts is the possible characters absence in key moments (because the actor isn’t available or affodable). It’s a shame we didn’t get a single Lane sisters onscreen interaction during the cancer arc, it’d be even more of a disappointment if we didn’t get Lucy or Tal-Rho to be present in a possible Sam or Clark’s funeral.

Sanguinala fic roundup
I did in fact write a Slaaneshi number (six!) of things for this exchange, some of which came out pretty well! In no particular order:
with strength in the left hand and love in the right - Argel Tal/Raum/Cyrene, T, in which Cyrene meets Argel Tal's other soul for the first time
So Surpassing the Sweetness - Rogal Dorn/Lexandro d'Arquebus, M, Lex has a religious vision in the St. Teresa sort of way; canon-typical masochism
I'm taking my place uncertain at your shoulder - Honsou/Uriel Ventris, E, a slice of the alternate timeline where they're comrades, in the Black Legion. established relationship, intimacy and trust, in contrast to
Proof of Concept - Honsou/Uriel Ventris, E, noncon/pregnancy, in which Honsou has a different way of using captured Ultramarines to produce new soldiers
someone to walk with in the dark - Mortarion/Konrad Curze, T, dreamy quasi-historical AU in which two strangers on the edge of their city's society find each other
No Mark of Any Other - Lorgar Aurelian/Leman Russ, E; a piece of the timeline where the Emperor *did* send the Wolves to sanction the XVII and Russ declined to kill another brother.
Damn, that was kind of a lot, huh. The brainrot is real and also motivating <3

Random Superman & Lois ponderings; with a potential meteor shower coming, the tease that Lex might try to kill Superman, and teases of things ending on a cliffhanger...
I'm just imagining if they DID kill Clark, then they could lean into stuff they've already set up for next season, to play off the Death and Reign of the Supermen from the comics, by could have had the slack picked up next season by Steel, the Eradicator/Tal-Rho, Superboy, and an as yet unseen Cyborg Superman (Possibly set up as a big bad).
Ideas and possible plans which...now are probably hosed thanks to having to trim the cast by a great deal. ;)

conner kent
Tumblr media
╔═.✾. ═  LOG *** :  conner kent / kon-el  |  cis man, he/him |  21.
Just spotted CONNER around town.  Our records show that they remember [ most things ] from their source : dc comics (prime earth).   They were first spotted in april 2022 and our best guess is that their last memory is being pushed into the multiverse ... again.  Archivists watching them state that they still have the worn leather jackets, journals fraying from use, holes broken in walls vibe about them.
━  from Armes E. Sallow’s  personal archives. ═.✾. ═╝ ↳・゜zethphan smith-gneist .
━━━ transcribed on : 05 may 2022.  transcription annotated by tal brennan, archivist.
❃゜・。. ・°゜
ARMES: thank you for finally coming in.
[there’s a snort] I didn’t really chose to.  You cornered me at work then went to my supervisor which - not cool.
ARMES: it’s important for us to have records in this town.
Why?
ARMES: i think you have it confused who’s asking questions.
It’s an informal interview, so why are you upset?  Why do I need to be here?  What do you do with this information?
ARMES: can you tell me your name and where you are from?
[there’s a laugh] You won’t even answer my questions? Why the hell should I answer yours, especially when I suspect you already have some of this information.
[there’s a thud, presumably armes setting her notepad down heavily on the desk.]
ARMES: these interviews are for the safety of this town.  more and more people are arriving here, and i am going to make sure that this town remains safe.
Safe for who? [the scraping of a chair being pushed back.] I don’t do mandatory interviews that are disguised as my choice.  And I don’t do this whole thing of you “protecting” whoever you want to protect in this town.  As far as I can tell, you aren’t in charge here.  Just cuz your name is on the town doesn’t give you power.
ARMES: you don’t want me as an enemy, Kon-El.
Fuck you, Armes Sallow.  If you know that name, you know you don’t want me as an enemy.
❃゜・。. ・°゜
notes collected by tal brennan
Conner Kent, also known as Kon-El and Superboy, is from DC Comics.  He first arrived in the comic world in the 90s as the clone of Superman and an unknown human doner to fill the spot Superman’s death had left.  In the early 00s it was revealed that the human doner was Superman’s arch nemesis, Lex Luthor.  Conner is often depicted as a flirt who wants nothing to do with authority, as seen here in the interview.  This is likely due to the fact that he was created by a lab who pushed him out at around 15 and he had little good guidance until he was about 16 or 17.
While his team changed often at the beginning, he is most known to be in connection with Tim Drake (Robin / Red Robin), Bart Allen (Impulse / Kid Flash), and Cassandra Sandsmark (Wonder Girl) - as well as anyone else who is filtering through Young Justice, or occasionally Titans.
Despite the rough outside he presents, it should be noted that he is very loyal and kind with his friends.  He often is understanding of rough situations, and has empathy to rival his father, Kal.
danger rating: 4/10.  mostly collateral damage likelihood to investigate: 9/10 with the interview interaction.
