So, I’ve been working on ch27 daily for about the last 2 weeks.(not on the weekends) and it’s coming along rather well. It’s still a Joy chapter, that hasnt changed. Joys character needs some attention and her story arc needs attention. I know I posted about some concerns about content I intended to add and while I toned my original idea down there is still some left.

I wanted each characters original intro idea to have a different setting and theme. Even when I changed the intros to “backstories” I still wanted that. Joys intro at the time was a look into the bounty hunter lifestyle. (Before I introduced and shifted focus to rdog, Kato and the team, Joy was our first glimpse into that.) I still want that out of Joys content currently. Joys character is obviously very different from them and so are her circumstances. I’m not going to go into a deep dive of her character right now but, to summarize for this blog and without giving spoiler type insight, Joys arc is supposed to show us the very real, the very dangerous and very unglamorous side of bounty hunting and I’m really banking on that this chapter as we see how joys decision to work for Amadopolis plays out. So if something seems dark or controversial it’s kind of what I want to show. Again I might be over reacting myself, it may not be bad at all. I think I’m about half way complete so, stay tuned.

Chapter 29 is published and with that, volume 3 is complete. It's the longest chapter I wrote in awhile and I'm proud of that. Sure the 1st part should have been in ch 28 but whatever. Enjoy the chapter, I'll post a lil bit on my process in a few days.

we havent caught up in a spell, havent we?

hello readers, if any remain. i know i havent updated or written in awhile. after the accident i just couldnt focus on it and to be honest iwas not in a great place mentally. yesterday i actually started thinking about writing and it was the 1st time since the accident i got that feeling. i even got some ideas for when i actually return for real. fear not, as i still remember what my plot points were. (even though a lot of my drafts and ideas i had jotted down on paper in my cabinet at work were thrown away when coworkers decided to clean my classroom while i was gone. wish i knew why they felt the need to touch my personal things but whatever.) i do however want to revisit the last few chapters to just refresh where i was and avoid possibly repeating myself. i may also make an adjustment to the chronology. i think the last chapter i wrote was a joy chapter and i think i want to add stuff before that. ill know for sure when i start actually writing. and when i do officially start drafting again i will let you all know.

chapter 26 is published

I decided to publish what I had written as ch 26. Felt it was a decent enough chapter. Changed some original ideas. Had an Eric and Yeri segment that was longer but, I cut it to just a moment but it still established what I needed to. So, enjoy and I’ll start ch 27 soon.

Chapter 25 part 2 is published

It’s complete, it’s published. Finally. I think I can say safely, that there shouldn’t be any more problems moving forward. In regards to like writers block anyway. As I said chapter 25 was the setting off of a chain of events that follow. I couldn’t move forward without 25 properly establishing that kick off point.

A lot of the content I have in store is stuff I’ve been sitting on for awhile, Basically the start. Like I’ve been building to this but I came to this part and I realized I needed a specific link to tie it together for the reader. It might not make sense now so, again I’ll elaborate clearly later, to avoid spoilers. enjoy chapter 25.

ch 24 is published

So, I finally finished. Ch 24 is basically a revised, refreshed version of part 3 of joys old depublished intro. Is depublished a word? Lol. I’d say retconned then.

Since Joys “ intro” has been revised to take place alongside the story. It’s not an intro anymore it’s just.. another chapter that unfolds. My intention has always been to re-add the intros as they happened chronologically as I’ve stated and I needed to add the old part 3 of intro J. If I didn’t I would have had to backtrack. That’s why I was sort of stuck for a minute. It had to be now I had to make it fit for timeline sake. I also had to add some new content as well. It worked in its previous form due to that timelines continuity but since the continuity has changed and has been prolonged, I felt more had to happen to have the events play out sensibly. (Being vague to avoid spoilers)

So in the end I wrote some more about joys misadventures and her entanglement with the Amadopolis crew. Though there’s no mention of our other RV characters this outing, it does effect some of them as ive alluded to. The direct effect may not be very apparent.

To be honest I’m not exactly sure where or how I’m going to start chapter 25. I have a few options to go over. For now just enjoy ch 24 and when I officially start ch 25 I will post progress updates.

So I published ch 23. It was almost ch. 22.5 lol. I debated adding the first segment to a revised ch 22 and just starting a fresh ch23 but in the end I just settled on it being one of those ‘transitional in between chapters’. as of right now I’m planning on ch24 being a Joy chapter. I meant to revisit her sooner… but I had the Irene segment on my mind and stuck with that to not lose the idea. Plus I was excited because in my first version Irene’s “intro” was where I struggled as I had no idea what to do for her. When I had content for her that fit the story and direction I was going in I just got swept up in it. Especially after it also opened up the doors to bring in the last RV character into the story. Possible spoiler but yeah Seulgi finally got introduced.

Weird Irene came into play before Seulgi as Irene was the only character I never started an intro for way back when. Though Irene’s character in the story is the same concept idea I had while brainstorming intros for her. A medical type of officer working for Grand. Aside from that I didn’t know where to start her.

Irene has more of a ‘science’ officer role now but I think I wrote that she started in human biology. So like medical sciences was what I adapted it to.

I feel like I’m stuck in a loop with Yeri and roadie, Yeri wanted to join but now she’s kinda on the outside looking in…roadie didn’t want her to join but like accepts her.. and now like I feel I’m going back and forth with that too much. I’m not going anywhere with it as I intend to. It’s hard to explain but I’m aware of the redundant nature of it, it is something I intend to fix and get over with.

Anyways that’s all for now, sorry ch 23 is short and here and there but I needed to get something out, it’s been too long. I will begin drafting ch24 tomorrow.

ch18 has begun

So, as I begin to enter the final phase of the current volume I think I’m having trouble because of my OCD. I wanted this volume to be 10 chapters because the 1st volume was. So now I’m trying to squeeze things in, things I wanted to be addressed to set up the next volume. I rushed ch17 and now 18 is becoming a hodgepodge.

Chapter 19 was the finale and I had a big reveal planned. This volume is still going to be 10 chapters as I update. I’m just trying to get the mess I created in somewhat of a coherent state haha. It’s jumping from here to there a bit more than I intended. Ch18 has no plan to be published before I leave Saturday. If I do manage to finish it I will let you know of course. Sorry and be patient as I write myself out of this mess I created.

ch16 is published

So I started it this morning and since I just had to adjust a tiny bit of the old version of intro j 2.5 it didn’t take long. Once I was writing it just all came out.

Old Joy intros part 3-5 are still unpublished until the times comes.

And I wanted to say I did add Jae into ch15 briefly. It wasn’t exactly as much as I wanted but it was enough to achieve what wanted at the bare minimum lol.

7/29/22

Ch 15 is officially started. In my new version I’ve completed removed the character Torpet. (The original minor character I created based on Torbjorn… whom I forgot about when I introduced a second character based on Torbjorn.. named old man Tor.)

So since I forgot about Torpet as he really didn’t have any real impact in the story besides helping move the plot, and I never had any plans to bring him back .. which is why I forgot him, he is not needed and is gone. When I brought old man Tor into the story I wrote him with the intention of being a bit more involved. I have an idea to revisit his character again. So, Torbjorn Easter egg version 2 is the direction I’m going.

I want try and involve Jae in this new version. He didn’t come into the picture until like part 3 of the original Joy intro. So that’s my idea for now. Nothing major but at least establish him a bit.

I have no plans to change much after the initial set up of the chapter. So it shouldn’t take me long to publish it. If it isn’t done this weekend it should be posted by Monday evening.

Hello readers. Sorry for the lack of an update. Yesterday was my fiancées birthday so I was a little busy.

Anyways, that doesn’t mean I was neglecting my story. if you’re a new reader this may be a spoiler but since I have mentioned it in previous updates.. it can’t be that much of a spoiler.

Next chapter will be a reworked version of Joys intro. (Before I abandoned my original vision, joys intro was already published, but I changed my story and unpublished it) so I’m most likely going to combine the first 2 parts of the old intro into one part and make a few quality of life changes as well as some changes just to fit my current vision.

The other half of joys intro will remain unpublished for now. So, I’m going to get started on it right now.

so. ive started a draft for a new idea i had over the weekend. i also wanted to do some character sketches. so the new arc is in its rough draft phase. if i dont like the new idea ill focus on some plot points i have had in mind originally instead… so give me some time on this ill keep you updated.

I was able to churn out ch 9 today. i might take a few days to focus on the next arc. i have a goal in mind, and afew plot points i want to hit but i never really truly sorted them out. and yes im going to call ch 10 the start of a new arc. I considered it the same arc in the brainstorm but thinking about it now… i changed my mind lol.

Ch 6 published

I finished ch 6. adding the new character was unexpected. as i wrote the dialogue it changed the way i originally planned the action sequence. there was an ”escape” segment but i removed it. it was going to serve as a set up for the events of ch 7. im going forward with ch 7 as planned despite the change. might not be as clean a connection but ill connect the dots…

ch 7 is going to be about a key part of the arc. Stay tuned.
