So, I’ve been working on ch27 daily for about the last 2 weeks.(not on the weekends) and it’s coming along rather well. It’s still a Joy chapter, that hasnt changed. Joys character needs some attention and her story arc needs attention. I know I posted about some concerns about content I intended to add and while I toned my original idea down there is still some left.

I wanted each characters original intro idea to have a different setting and theme. Even when I changed the intros to “backstories” I still wanted that. Joys intro at the time was a look into the bounty hunter lifestyle. (Before I introduced and shifted focus to rdog, Kato and the team, Joy was our first glimpse into that.) I still want that out of Joys content currently. Joys character is obviously very different from them and so are her circumstances. I’m not going to go into a deep dive of her character right now but, to summarize for this blog and without giving spoiler type insight, Joys arc is supposed to show us the very real, the very dangerous and very unglamorous side of bounty hunting and I’m really banking on that this chapter as we see how joys decision to work for Amadopolis plays out. So if something seems dark or controversial it’s kind of what I want to show. Again I might be over reacting myself, it may not be bad at all. I think I’m about half way complete so, stay tuned.

Chapter 29 is published and with that, volume 3 is complete. It's the longest chapter I wrote in awhile and I'm proud of that. Sure the 1st part should have been in ch 28 but whatever. Enjoy the chapter, I'll post a lil bit on my process in a few days.

we havent caught up in a spell, havent we?

hello readers, if any remain. i know i havent updated or written in awhile. after the accident i just couldnt focus on it and to be honest iwas not in a great place mentally. yesterday i actually started thinking about writing and it was the 1st time since the accident i got that feeling. i even got some ideas for when i actually return for real. fear not, as i still remember what my plot points were. (even though a lot of my drafts and ideas i had jotted down on paper in my cabinet at work were thrown away when coworkers decided to clean my classroom while i was gone. wish i knew why they felt the need to touch my personal things but whatever.) i do however want to revisit the last few chapters to just refresh where i was and avoid possibly repeating myself. i may also make an adjustment to the chronology. i think the last chapter i wrote was a joy chapter and i think i want to add stuff before that. ill know for sure when i start actually writing. and when i do officially start drafting again i will let you all know.

chapter 26 is published

I decided to publish what I had written as ch 26. Felt it was a decent enough chapter. Changed some original ideas. Had an Eric and Yeri segment that was longer but, I cut it to just a moment but it still established what I needed to. So, enjoy and I’ll start ch 27 soon.

Chapter 25 part 2 is published

It’s complete, it’s published. Finally. I think I can say safely, that there shouldn’t be any more problems moving forward. In regards to like writers block anyway. As I said chapter 25 was the setting off of a chain of events that follow. I couldn’t move forward without 25 properly establishing that kick off point.

A lot of the content I have in store is stuff I’ve been sitting on for awhile, Basically the start. Like I’ve been building to this but I came to this part and I realized I needed a specific link to tie it together for the reader. It might not make sense now so, again I’ll elaborate clearly later, to avoid spoilers. enjoy chapter 25.

Hello readers. I had some time to try a few ideas for ch23. I started off with a time skip. A year was going to pass but I decided the timing was not good. I had a few plot lines that would have needed to be addressed before I decided to jump ahead an entire year. So that idea has been shelved…

The version I’m running with now is staying with Irene and her Grand compatriots. Focus may shift during the chapter. I’d like to revisit joys character again soon so that’s something to work on.

Just wanted to update and let you know I’ve resumed writing.

a hectic week…

I must say I’m sorry for the lack of an update, I published ch 22 a few days ago and never updated here. I’ve been going through some crap, I got into a car accident Friday morning and just haven’t been myself since. Physically I have no injuries but mentally I just feel off. My job is very mentally demanding as well so combining the 2 .. I don’t know how to describe it. Anxious, nervous, jittery.. can’t focus. because of that I haven’t had time to even start ch23.

I also have to go to a wedding a few states away this week so I will probably be occupied until… the following week.

I apologize but iwill resume writing when I get over this.. drama. I will update when I start writing ch23.

10/10/22

I have resumed progress on my story. Currently following up the latest chapter. I planned the current chapter to step away from the previous chapters plot line but I didn’t like it so I just decided to continue with that storyline.

As of writing this I only have 1 chapter that is not a “whole number”. (I think it’s chapter 2.5, if I recall correctly) and it’s basically some ideas I got that could have been implemented in previous chapters that I didn’t remember or think of at the time. This chapter could be part of the previous so it might be ch21.5.

I’m trying to not do that anymore but I’m a scatter brained moron. I also said I’m trying to write longer chapters and here I am literally 1 chapter later .. about to go back on my word lol. Seriously though, I’m still in the early stages so nothing is final yet. The possibility is there though. Once I have the segment draft complete I’ll decide if I just post that segment or just cut to another plot segment. If I publish I will obviously post here to inform you.

ch 21 published

So I completed and published ch 21. I was trying to work out the ending. It wasn’t going on the paper..“digital paper” how I visioned it in my head. It was getting darker than I intended as well. I’ll touch on it more in another. Enjoy.

Chapter 21 progress

So, in hindsight, I think ch21 could have been my volume opening chapter. I was debating it, but since I wasnt totally sure on the content at the time I just wrote ch 20 like I did because I knew what I wanted in regards to those characters…

Anyways. Ch 21 looks to be a longer chapter. Which is good because I feel like I’ve gotten too comfortable making “quick reads”.

I don’t think I’m spoiling anything when I say this volume is going to start getting more into the elementian plot line. Maybe it is a spoiler. O well. I know I’ve mentioned them in the story already so it’s about time we delved deeper. If you’re familiar with “you’re my target” then you’re probably familiar with elementians. I say probably because I tried to leave them a little mysterious even in that story.

there is a character that associated with elementians, as it’s been established in story already. So, in order to start heading into that direction, this chapter is revolving around that character. Hint hint.

it’s going well so far. I’m trying to make my dialogue less clunky. The beginning is a little .. erratic lol. But I’m trying okay, I’m trying. I really am. So, if I had to guess I’d say I’m half way through the chapter as I end my writing for the day. I’ll continue tomorrow and probably the next tumblr post will be when it’s finished.

ch18 has begun

So, as I begin to enter the final phase of the current volume I think I’m having trouble because of my OCD. I wanted this volume to be 10 chapters because the 1st volume was. So now I’m trying to squeeze things in, things I wanted to be addressed to set up the next volume. I rushed ch17 and now 18 is becoming a hodgepodge.

Chapter 19 was the finale and I had a big reveal planned. This volume is still going to be 10 chapters as I update. I’m just trying to get the mess I created in somewhat of a coherent state haha. It’s jumping from here to there a bit more than I intended. Ch18 has no plan to be published before I leave Saturday. If I do manage to finish it I will let you know of course. Sorry and be patient as I write myself out of this mess I created.

ch16 is published

So I started it this morning and since I just had to adjust a tiny bit of the old version of intro j 2.5 it didn’t take long. Once I was writing it just all came out.

Old Joy intros part 3-5 are still unpublished until the times comes.

And I wanted to say I did add Jae into ch15 briefly. It wasn’t exactly as much as I wanted but it was enough to achieve what wanted at the bare minimum lol.

more of an overhaul than I thought… 8/1/22

So the new Joy intro required more adjusting than I anticipated. I decided to remove more than just Torpets section. I also had to adjust the part where Joy meets up with Wendy since at this point in the story Wendy’s garage was lost. I tried to write a version where they still meet but it just didn’t really fit, and honestly the convo wasn’t achieving much. The original version served to establish Wendy as a mechanic, however we already know that at this point. I felt obligated to keep it in to also establish Joy and Wendy know each other… but I was able to establish that without having to have a detour in the story and some meaningless convo. So, I removed all that and am now adjusting the main segment. It won’t be finished today like I hoped. I am still working on it and will post it when I finish it tomorrow. Sorry for the delay.

7/29/22

Ch 15 is officially started. In my new version I’ve completed removed the character Torpet. (The original minor character I created based on Torbjorn… whom I forgot about when I introduced a second character based on Torbjorn.. named old man Tor.)

So since I forgot about Torpet as he really didn’t have any real impact in the story besides helping move the plot, and I never had any plans to bring him back .. which is why I forgot him, he is not needed and is gone. When I brought old man Tor into the story I wrote him with the intention of being a bit more involved. I have an idea to revisit his character again. So, Torbjorn Easter egg version 2 is the direction I’m going.

I want try and involve Jae in this new version. He didn’t come into the picture until like part 3 of the original Joy intro. So that’s my idea for now. Nothing major but at least establish him a bit.

I have no plans to change much after the initial set up of the chapter. So it shouldn’t take me long to publish it. If it isn’t done this weekend it should be posted by Monday evening.

Hello readers. Sorry for the lack of an update. Yesterday was my fiancées birthday so I was a little busy.

Anyways, that doesn’t mean I was neglecting my story. if you’re a new reader this may be a spoiler but since I have mentioned it in previous updates.. it can’t be that much of a spoiler.

Next chapter will be a reworked version of Joys intro. (Before I abandoned my original vision, joys intro was already published, but I changed my story and unpublished it) so I’m most likely going to combine the first 2 parts of the old intro into one part and make a few quality of life changes as well as some changes just to fit my current vision.

The other half of joys intro will remain unpublished for now. So, I’m going to get started on it right now.

I published chapter 11. its bit short but, o well. The alternating between yeri/RD and grand is becoming more cumbersome than i thought. Ch 12 is going to be less back and forth so, thats a plus.

also i have a vacation coming up at the end of june, early july. i am going to try to pump out ch 12 before i leave for that. stay tuned.
