chapter 1081 spoilers—okay, angst is fun and all but...
Shachi literally means orca in Japanese. Ikkaku means narwhal. They can dive deep (Narwhals, deeper than most submarines go, I think) and survive. Penguins are pretty good underwater for a while (though I don't know about depth). The ocean is the home of sea urchins and sea angels (Uni and Clione). And have we forgotten how hardcore Penguin and Shachi went here?:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And do you think that Jean Bart looks a little fishman here? ( A little Namur-like).
Tumblr media
Now, I don't know about snow geese, but we'll give Hakugan some magical properties. So while it is heartbreaking that the Polar Tang
will no longer sail the seas (and, yeah, the boys had had it forever, but this is the sub's own Going Merry moment, perhaps), I think we should believe Bepo here:
Tumblr media
where he urges Law to have faith in the hardiness of his North Blue crew in the depths of the ocean. His concern is more with Law (but we know he'll be okay):
Tumblr media
Bepo urges Law not to die, but the Hearts will continue to overcome. I don't know that they'll be captured either, but they must've almost escaped because Jean Bart was on land, right? In chapter 1064:
Tumblr media
But look at this instruction (also from 1064):
Tumblr media
where Law urges Penguin and Shachi into the water. The Hearts are fine, but I understand the angst (it's glorious, isn't it?!). I think Law's worried, obviously, but I also think he picked his crew and mode of transport for a reason beyond just remaining hidden.
But, the Polar Tang:
Tumblr media
the Victoria Punk
Tumblr media Tumblr media
the Jewelry Margerhita?
Tumblr media
Although, the Wiki says they don't know what happened to it after Bonney was captured by Blackbeard way back when, but in Egghead Jinbei does ask her:
Tumblr media
where her ship and crew is. She states that her ship (which might be the Jewelry Margherita) was eaten by the monsters (controlled by Lilith, right?) outside of Egghead, and that she came alone.
The wiki says: (according to Vivre Card - One Piece Visual Dictionary (Card #0511), Information about Bonney is revealed), that:
Bonney seems to prioritize her own safety over her crew's as she managed to escape Marine detainment but chose not to rescue her subordinates.
That's stark contrast to Law, and we've mostly seen her operate alone, but I'm not gonna believe the Vivre cards just yet.
Also, Kid's obviously alive if Law is and if their losses were similar in wording and visuals. I think Kid's crew have saved him, if not Shanks' crew.
BUT, once Law recovers, he'll not be sequestered in a cell for ten years before he becomes relevant again (poor Kid. Damn!).
As @purplehairedwonder pointed out, the Polar Tang was carrying Law's poneglyph copies, and I bet that the crew is carrying them. Hope so. He'd be wise enough to have them waterproofed. BUT it makes more narrative sense to have them destroyed.
Now, someone was talking about how a Klabautermann is only seen when a ship is doomed (this wikipedia article supports it, but that's as far as my sources go) and therefore they didn't include images/stories/prompts about it for the Polar Tang. I can't remember who it was! Ahh, well it seems that the Klabautermann of various ships have been very busy lately.
Kuzan, too. Kuzan is cool (haha). I'm glad we saw him. And the dialogue with the Blackbeard pirates and Kuzan. OH, I almost forgot, this angst:
Tumblr media
where Blackbeard taunts Law with the fact (yes, fact!) that there are a hundred pirates on Pirate Island still without their hearts, due to Law, and BB would be thrilled to punish Law for the fact, can't help but stir the whump-writer's heart (I'm sorry, Law).
AND, Koby and Law were in cahoots in some way, I'm sure of it (probably be disproven). Something similar to Luffy and Smoker at Alabasta, perhaps? Anyway.
Side note, do you think that Chopper used Caesar Clown's science and ego to help produce the rumble-ball like power-up he gave Bepo? If so, I wonder if this will come to play in the future when Caesar and Judge enter the fray again, if they do.

What reason does cross guild have to take out Blackbeard? Did I miss something?/genuine
Holy shit I have never gotten an anonymous ask before! I am honoured! Thank you 🥹
No you haven’t missed anything. Not really!
The Strawhats and Luffy especially have reason because Blackbeard orchestrated Marineford to get an all star evil crew from Impel Down and Whitebeard’s DF. Therefore Blackbeard is basically responsible for Ace’s death. We know Blackbeard gave Shanks his facial scar, so I assume there is bad blood there, although the story hasn’t been revealed.
My reasons for the cross guild joining… under the cut. (Spoilers for Egghead arc past the anime, safe to read for manga readers)
My first (weaker) reason:
Perona goes in search of Moria, who is last seen on Blackbeard’s island while he is away. We are lead to assume Moria is killed by Shiryu and Catarina Devon. In the fandom, most people consider Perona to be Mihawk’s adopted daughter. In cannon, I’m not sure if Mihawk would go rescue her, but if he did he would probably go by himself…
But I think it is so funny to imagine Mihawk pulling up to the Sunny and being like: “Zoro! We gotta go rescue your sister”
My second (stronger) reason:
Currently all the 4 emperors are going after the One Piece and while Luffy has Robin to read the poneglyphs and went to each one of the Road Poneglyph and then collected them honestly. Luffy and Law gave Kidd copies of the Road Poneglyphs they got during their alliance because of his help with the battle on Onigashima. I’m not sure if he even knew about the road poneglyphs being necessary to find the One Piece before they give the copies to him. Anyway…
Shanks takes Kidd’s poneglyphs before he distroyed him (although I’m sure Kidd is still alive somehow), and Blackbeard took Law’s when he beat the Heart Pirates. So if we look at the race for the One Piece as consisting of having the info (poneglyphs) and having the means to translate them.
1st place- Luffy with 3 poneglyphs and Robin
2nd place- Blackbeard with 3 poneglyphs and Pudding. As it is implied in WCI that Big Mom wanted a kid with a 3rd eye because she thought they could read the poneglyphs.
Also in 2nd place- Shanks, because even though we don’t know how he intends to read them, Shanks has 3 poneglyphs and probably knows where the 4th one is.
Last place- goes to Buggy and the Cross Guild, with no poneglyphs and no means for translation. However Buggy has strong armed Crocodile and Mihawk into going for the One Piece by telling their entire organization that they will. If they go against him the organization will crumble because all of Buggy’s followers think that he is awesome, and they will look ridiculous if it comes to light that he got the better of them in the first place.
But I bet that it will only take Crocodile realizing that the race for the One Piece would help him get his hands on one of the ancient weapons and he would get on board. After that getting their hands on the road poneglyphs would be fairly easy. As a former Roger Pirate, Buggy can walk into Wano and ask to see their poneglyph, and unless he can read the poneglyph, or is given the explanation by Oden’s dad, he or Crocodile wouldn’t know about Pluton being hid under the poneglyph. If Crocodile did know about Pluton being under there then he would probably want to stop the whole thing there to bring down Wano’s borders and get it.
So after Buggy goes to Wano, Inurashi and Nekomamushi would give him a note or something to have permission to look at the one on Zou. A quick call to King Neptune or a little research and he would find out that the road poneglyph from the Ryugu Kingdom went to Big Mom.
With Big Mom out of the picture the Cross Guild could honestly trade or buy access to the one on Whole Cake Island.
Then the Cross Guild would have everything Shanks has since Buggy would also probably know how to find the 4th one.
My third reason:
Blackbeard is growing stronger by the day, and in addition to looking for the One Piece it is going to become obvious to everyone that he is going to try to crush the other Emperors eventually. His crew is in direct competition with the Cross Guild in terms of power. If they want to survive, teaming up with Shanks and or Luffy would be their best bet.
I also think story wise it would be one of the best ways for a Shanks and Buggy reconciliation, and to allow the Akagami Pirates to interact with the rest of the one piece world.
Because if that theory goes around that Shanks will die before Luffy gets to reconnect with him ends up being true. I will be very upset 😠
Thank you for coming to my ted talk.

Reading Poneglyph Script
Tumblr media
By the time Law leaves Wano I believe he can read the Poneglyphs, or at least knows enough to pick out key words and phrases. Law spent enough time between Zou and leaving Wano with Robin that she would have been able to teach him the basics at least. I don't think she would want to keep that knowledge to herself, especially not from an ally and someone her captain trusts. Nor do I think Luffy would want her to keep that information from Law. In fact, if he knew he'd encourage it. After all, Law having access to the same info he does would make the journey to the One Piece even more fun for Luffy.
Additionally, I imagine Robin gave Law both a copy of the Road Poneglyph rubbings and her own translation. Law is certainly smart enough to use these as a tool to help him decipher the language. So with his combined genius and Robin's lessons I don't think it's a huge stretch to assume Law can read the Poneglyph language.
I also believe he would have made copies of Robin's translations. Law is a meticulous man and would not risk losing such valuable information. Which leads me to believe Law won't actually be losing all his information to Blackbeard if he loses this fight. One could say his claim that 'Winner takes all,' means he will give over everything he has but I do not think Law is that honourable. Especially since Blackbeard specified only the Road Poneglyph rubbings. Never said anything about translations so in the end it's highly likely that Law isn't going to be massively disadvantaged if he loses this fight.

After reading the latest manga chapter (996), I realized that Law will have more screen time.
Law was having a flashback in this scene where he and Robin were talking about the Will of D.
Here, Law asks if the only way to know about the will is to follow the Poneglyphs. Robin answers: to do that the Yonkō must be beaten.
Tumblr media
Since Law wants to know about the Will of D (by finding the Poneglyphs which the Yonkō prolly have), and Luffy wants to be the Pirate King (that means beating all the Yonkōs) they both now have similar goals.
Tumblr media
The Captain Trio needs to defeat the two Yonkōs: Kaido and Big Mom who are in Wano. And since both of those Yonkōs have also decided to have an alliance, the fight is gonna last longer and it will be harder than the fights they have fought before. But of course, like any other fights, it will come to an end plus knowing Luffy, he will win those fights and victory will be much much sweeter than they have ever tasted or experienced.
Tumblr media
Also, Luffy has the copies of the first two red Road Poneglyphs all they need now are two more. Their first red Road Poneglyph was from Zou inside the Whale Tree, the second was from Big Mom’s Road Poneglyph which Brook copied. The third one is in Kaido’s territory which Law is trying to find in the basement but the biggest mystery is the fourth Poneglyph. No clue about it yet, just that it was once in Fishman Island but was relocated (I think?).
Wano Arc will set One Piece’s future. It will be the turning point of OP. Oda will reveal so many things here in Wano Arc. I think I read somewhere that a clue about the One Piece will be given in this Arc.
Thus why Luffy and Law’s alliance will stay longer and why Law will have more screen time. All this also hints that Law is unlikely to betray Luffy. Back in Punk Hazard, Luffy asked if Law will betray him and Law said no, then Luffy said that in case Law does betray them, he has his nàkámá with him who also trained for two years.
And since Luffy beat Doffy (Doffy wasn’t in their original plan, what they wanted was for Kaido to beat up Doffy), all of those things also worked out in Law’s favor in the end. In addition to that, they have a Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai alliance and they all share the same goal as of the moment. It just won’t do Law any good if he betrays them (cause yknow, betrayals are known throughout the Pirates). Anyway, here’s to hoping their alliance and friendship will set sail smoothly!!
A somehow related topic:
*sorta shipping LawBin back then but now I’m shipping them more. Oda said there would be no romance within the Straw Hat Pirates so LawBin is a possibility (ノ≧ڡ≦) Teehee~!
Law carries Robin bridal style. It’s just unexpected. I guess this is what you call fanservice.
Tumblr media
After the Dressrosa Arc, on the way to Zou, riding Bartolomeo’s ship, Robin went to talk to the lone Law about what he plans to do next since his goal of defeating Doffy is done (or something along the lines). This is how he responsed: He smiled, left and told her not to worry about him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Robin protecting Law from Doffy. Robin covering Law with her own bod. Robin and Law spending more time in the Dressrosa Arc.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Of course I’m not imposing or anything, I’m just saying there’s a tad possibility of them getting together. Who knows, right?

HC with Law, Sabo and Marco with a girlfriend who is another Ohara survivor and can read poneglyph.
Hi anon! Thank you for waiting! 😊 I hope this is to your liking, I had a little trouble with Marco but overall I think it works? Lol hope you enjoy!
Tumblr media
Law:
📖 For Law this would be like having an extra 1-up on the World Government
📖 He’s never going to forgive them for what happened in Flevance, and knowing his girlfriend is someone high the WG’s most wanted list helps soothe some of those old wounds
📖 He also empathizes with her tragic past, having gone through something similar
📖 He’d be interested in learning how to read poneglyphs, but ultimately that would have to wait until after he completed his goal of taking down Doflamingo
📖 Unfortunately, poneglyph reading serves no purpose there
📖 Having her as an SO would aid in his decision to ally with the Straw Hats, though, as he knows Nico Robin is also a survivor of Ohara
📖 In his way, he wants to be able to bring her some peace, let her be close to someone who knows exactly what she’s gone through, help her in a way he can’t
Tumblr media
Sabo:
🔥 This is huge
🔥 Sabo is torn about having her help the Revolutionary Army, knowing that she’s in even greater danger just for the knowledge she possesses
🔥 But her skills would also be a great asset
🔥 Overall it’s her decision, and he knows this, and he strives to do whatever he can to keep her safe, regardless of her decision
🔥 If she does agree to help, this mostly means keeping her off missions while others find the poneglyphs, bringing back copies for her to translate
🔥 Sabo likes to sit by her while she’s working, though he can’t read any of it himself he tries to at least help keep her organized, as well as prevent stress, and she appreciates his efforts
Tumblr media
Marco:
🍍 He doesn’t have too much of an interest in the poneglyphs themselves, other than maybe from an academic standpoint
🍍 As it is, he’s more interested in helping her overcome her past, and the destruction of her home
🍍 This culminates in Marineford, when the Whitebeard Pirates confront the Marines, and she sees Aokiji and Akainu
🍍 It’s hard to help someone through a flashback in the middle of a battle, but Marco does his best
🍍 He’s able to use his devil fruit abilities to quickly come to her side, pulling her as far out of the way as he can, fighting off anyone who comes near while she recovers
🍍 She’s able to do so somewhat quickly, all things considered, but she has a haunted look in her eye throughout the entire battle
🍍 After the battle, when they’ve finally escaped and are able to calm down from the day’s events, they mourn those they’ve lost; Ace, Pops, crewmembers...and along with them, Marco mourns Ohara with her

One Piece 855 - ‘Grrrrrooowwwlll!‘
I know it’s late as hell and that no one will be interested in last chapter’s (OP 854) super late review/comment, but I’ll probably publish it anyway, ‘cause last week I could only make half of it on time, so I left it unpublished but I DO want to finish it because I had a few things I wanted to point out and couldn’t because life got in the way.
So in this chapter, just like in the last one, we have four main parts/events going on. On one side, Bobbin and his resolve to fix his blunder before Big Mom hears about it (1). On the other side, the ‘Brook Rescue Team’ needs to come up with a plan to rescue our beloved skeleton from the clutches of Charlotte Linlin (2) and finally, Brook’s big reveal (3) and Sanji’s whereabouts (4).
Let’s start from the beginning, shall we?
Tumblr media
First we have the cover page showing Cora-san and Law having some baked sweet potatoes. Of course, Cora is being Cora and has managed to light himself on fire. No surprise there. I have to say the request says Law should look worried but he looks more annoyed than worried to me...
With this Oda ripped my heart out and stomped on it. Seriously, Law needs Cora back. Better yet, we ALL need Cora back. Petition to bring Donquixote Rocinante back from the dead. Who’s with me? Oh well, moving on.
Tumblr media
The chapter starts with Bobbin rocking from one side to the other as if he were a pendulum while he claims he will fix his mishap with Sanji, making all the guards that have come to his aid fall asleep. He seems to be some kind of hypnotist; whether it’s a devil fruit or just normal hypnosis skills - like Jango’s - we still don’t know.
We jump to the Brook Rescue Party‘s whereabouts. They’re in front of the mirror that leads directly to Big Mom’s sleeping chambers. The group looks aghast and in Pedro’s case, relieved at the same time.
Tumblr media
Nami, darling, a piece of advice: do NOT word it like that in front of Mama, it’s not going to end well considering her apparent aversion to giants.
Big Mom’s sound asleep with Brook in her arms and Brook, in turn, is making use of the ‘I fall sleep anywhere’ ability grandpas all over the world seem to have, meaning he’s sleeping like a log too.
Tumblr media
Brûlée explains there’s no way Mama would let a unique creature like him go and then she tries to get Big Mom to save her by screaming her lungs out, but the BRP (Brook Rescue Party) gag her and Diesel too, for good measure. It’s impossible to determine whose idea was it to gag them (maybe in the raws you can, sadly I cannot read Japanese), but from what we’ve seen so far, I have a feeling it was Pedro’s suggestion. Remember when he was all in for kidnapping Pudding when she revealed she’s Big Mom’s daughter?
Tumblr media
I always thought they should have done as he suggested to be honest, even back then. They would have had a huge leverage against Mama that way.
Tumblr media
Anyway, back to the chapter. There’s quite a tense moment when Linlin wakes up for a sec and they think they’re done for, but it turns out it was just a fly or at least that’s what Big Mom thinks woke her up. She slams her hand on the floor in an attempt to kill the fly while she falls back asleep, waking Zeus, Prometheus and Napoleon in the process. The three go crazy on the ‘perpetrator‘. The BRT are terrified by what they just witnessed.
So we already knew what Zeus (lightning) and Prometheus’ (fire) powers were, but what’s up with the freaking hat? Did it pick up a sword? Does it transform into a sword? What the effing hell is going on with Napoleon? I personally think it transforms, but you never know.
Tumblr media
Scene cuts to Sanji who is running towards the site Luffy vowed to be waiting at. A dog attacks him, because apparently OP world dogs are all super hungry and violent and attack anyone they come across who is carrying food. Sanji should seriously stop going anywhere near dogs while delivering bentos on rainy days.
Tumblr media
And after this short three panel interlude, we’re back with the BRP who have stolen a skeleton - they sound like grave robbers now even though, technically speaking, they found it laying around - to try and pass it for Brook while they rescue the real one. Shout out to Jinbe for revealing all the small tricks to bypass everyone’s devil fruit abilities and use them to their benefit (See the image below). The attemps are broken into different ‘challenges‘.
Challenge 1
Tumblr media
Chopper is the first to try and sneak up to Big Mom’s bed. He suddenly has the urge to sneeze and Mama tries to squash the ‘disturbance’ while she’s still asleep.
Challenge 2
Tumblr media
Carrot’s turn. She manages to go all the way to Brook’s side, but he won’t wake up and Big Mom’s giant snot bubble ‘chases‘ her away. Her startled exclamation wakes up Zeus enough to discharge a lightning bolt while still keeping him groggy enough to think he’s still dealing with the fly.
Challenge 3
Tumblr media
Pedro’s situation is pretty much the same as Carrot’s. He manages to get to Brook but he’s driven away by Big Mom’s tossing and turning while she sleeps. The good thing that comes out of this is that she’s let go of Brook which makes things easier for Cat Burglar Nami.
Tumblr media
Nami manages to get to Brook and wake him up, but when he sees his fake self, he screams at the top of his lungs (yes, you can insert a skull joke about not having lungs here). Big Mom is annoyed by the ‘fly’ and intends to use Prometheus to get rid of it.
Tumblr media
And of course, Jinbe to the rescue! He grabs both, Nami and Brook and plunges back into the Mirror World.
Tumblr media
Back to Sanji again. He has already reached the promised spot but can’t see Luffy anywhere, only the high number of soldiers he knocked out before being taken away by the army. I’d like to point out just how much Sanji believes in Luffy and trusts him to keep to his word. He knows that, if his captain makes a promise, he’ll do everything in his power not to break it. That’s honestly one of the best parts of the entire arc, seeing just how deep Sanji’s devotion for Luffy is. It’s beautiful.
And scene change again to see what’s going on with the BRT. Nami’s already lecturing him for nearly killing them because of his scream. Pedro just apologises for putting their lives in danger, even though we all know it wasn’t his fault and that the Straw Hats would have done all this anyway. Have I ever mentioned just how much I love Pedro?
Tumblr media
Aaaaand there it is, the Big Reveal! Brook HAS the rubbings of the three Poneglyphs inside his skull.
I. Freaking. Called. It.
Well, I and a thousand other people, but that’s beside the point.
Pedro is VERY impressed and Brûlée, Diesel and everyone else (including the readers) are too. Jinbe praises him by saying that it’s already hard enough to get into the treasure room, even when you’re a family member.
Tumblr media
Brook, you just had to ask about her panties, didn’t you?
Now that they have a copy of the Poneglyphs, the only thing they have left to do is get Sanji back, which is no easy task but at least they have half the job already done.
Tumblr media
The scene cuts back to Sanji again. He’s heard a rather familiar growl and finds Luffy nestled against the remains of King Baum’s trunk, looking like he hasn’t eaten in a month. Personally his current ‘mummified’ appearance reminds of Slayers whenever Lina and/or Gourry didn’t have anything to eat and they ended up looking like that.
Tumblr media
End of Chapter.
My God, that was long!

A Solution for Everything
Fanfiction: A Solution for Everything Story Summary: Sometimes when things weren’t used for their intended purposes, they were still useful. Fandom: One Piece Characters: Law, Luffy, Nami Pairing: Implied Lawlu Rating: T Warnings: Swearing A/N: Okay, so this takes place after things with Big Mom and Kaido have been sorted out! It contains slight ‘spoilers’ from the Manga, but I don’t think there is much? And I’m pretty sure the anime has covered/implied what is covered.
PS: Don’t consume anything while reading this.
(my friend drew something for this! Check it out!)
Prompt: 15. “No more!” - “Okay, fine, I won’t send you any more selfies.”

Read on Ao3
The incident hadn’t been long after they had separated once more. With the treasures they’d obtained over their various adventures, Nami had purchased a few extra snails.
It had been expensive, considering most of that type had been mostly in use by the Marines or news paper producers, but it would provide a much needed service.
It was one specifically used for photographs and printing.
The Sunny had the biggest, most expensive one, but his ship also had one just in case the Sunny was out of reach, and his crew found one. (That way the picture could be printed on his ship, and he could take a picture of the picture the moment they came within range of the Sunny, or hand it to them) The range of these specific snails was far more limited than that of other snails. Probably due to the detail of the information having to be sent.
There was one sole reason for this: They needed to find the last Poneglyph, and since Robin could not be everywhere at once, and it was a little difficult to carry around the copying paper… (Not to mention the task was arduous and time consuming, which Brook had learned the hard way…)
Pictures were a far easier way to produce a copy of the Poneglyph.
(The copying paper was still a preferred method, but sometimes such a thing was not easily feasible.)
But, sometimes things were not used to their intended purposes…
Hence the incident…
.xxx.
“Captain! Captain!” Bepo had hurried over to him. “We have… a bit of a problem…”
Law clutched at his sword, looking at Bepo who only shook his head.
“…Not that kind of problem Captain. It’s the communications room, come.”
And then Bepo just… grabbed his arm and dragged him over, as if he didn’t know where that room was.
As they approached, he could hear sounds. Sounds he wasn’t exactly familiar with. It sounded like a machine working…
And when Bepo opened the door, Law felt a headache forming.
It was a mess. There were papers everywhere and that expensive snail looked rather… exhausted.
At a closer inspection at the papers however, no they weren’t just papers, they were pictures. Every last one of them. There were probably over fifty already, and another one was printing out at this moment.
And just what did every fucking one of them all contain?
Luffy. Fucking Mugiwara no Luffy.
“Get me the damn phone now!”
Of course. Of course this would happen! Give that fucking idiot a brand new toy and….
“Monkey D. Luffy! I’m the man who will become the Pirate King!”
“STOP TAKING DAMN PICTURES OF YOURSELF YOU IDIOT!” Law yelled over the phone – and would you look at that a snail with his hat on it and angry was coming out of his printer, along with Luffy’s laughing face. “I SAID PUT THE POOR SNAIL DOWN!”
No, he was still getting pictures.
“Shishishi but don’t you want pictures of me Torao?”
Law grumbled and pulled the brim of his hat down. “That’s not the issue here! You’re using up all my paper and this is not what the purpose of this is for! Where the hell is Nami? Put her on the phone.”
“Okay! Naaammmiii! Torao wants to talk to you!”
…Why was he still taking pictures dammit?
“Torao! What’s up Wait—”
“Yeah, your idiot of a captain is taking pictures of his every moment and sending it to me!”
Law would admit, watching a slideshow of Nami punching Luffy was mildly satisfying.
“Okay, Okay, I’ve got the situation under control.” She sighed. “It seems like it was a mistake to leave the snail open to the grasp of children…”
He could hear Luffy whining in the background.
“What does he want now?” Law asked, because he knew, oh he knew that if he didn’t at least try and solve the problem on their end, well, he could probably get something akin to this again.
“Apparently he wants to talk to you. Here.”
“Toraooo” Oh for the love of – he was whining his name! “I’m sorry, I’ll stop sending you pictures. But, but can you send me one of you? I missss you!”
Law sighed. “…It hasn’t even been a full day Luffy-ya.” He wouldn’t admit that he was masking a smile right now. He pulled on the brim of his hat a little before there was a flash.
“Penguin! What did you--!”
His crew was laughing now. “What? That was a good picture of you! And it isn’t like you were going to deny Mugiwara.”
…He was going to kill them. Slowly… painfully…
“Shishi! It’s Torao! Aw! What, did I embarrass you or something~”
…Great, now even Luffy was teasing him. “You got your damn picture, happy?”
There was a happy sound of affirmation. “I’ll treasure it!”
…That damn strawhat…
“Now why don’t you go bug Sanji for some meat or something?” Law mumbled, tugging on his hat further, his crew snickering in the background.
“That’s a good—“ He could hear a thunk as the receiver was dropped, and a distant calling of Sanji’s name. Law sighed before he hung up and moved to exit his… disaster of a communications room.
“Um, Captain, what should we do with all these pictures? Throw them out?”
Law paused before he answered Bepo. “…Just put them in my room.”
Who knew, maybe there were some good pictures of Luffy in that collection.
