I had only been familiar with character actor Mark Boone Junior from Batman Begins and TV's Sons of Anarchy so when I saw him appear on The Last Man on Earth I thought to myself "hey, he does comedy too."

It wasn't until a little later that I realized that Boone actually started his career in comedy as the partner of Steve Buscemi in the eighties during which they opened for They Might Be Giants at NYC's Darinka, as mentioned in the rockumentary Gigantic (A Tale of Two Johns). A quick search turned up a 2016 interview with Steve and Mark that hits pay dirt 🙌

Prompt:

People can see threstrals after they’ve seen death.

But, after he died, what Harry can see changes again. Now, he can only see death.

He can no longer see people, animals or plants, noting living. He can still see threstrals because of their close association with death. He can see ghosts, and see the moment someone dies before they pass over, and see the corpse they leave behind. He can see stone and dirt, trees and plants that have died, and animals that have half rotted away. But he can’t see his friends anymore, nor his enemies.

Though, he would be able to see phoenixes, as they constantly cycle through life and death, except no one has seen Fawkes since Dumbledore’s funeral.

He can also see Voldemort, who has skirted so close to death in his quest to live forever.

The question is, is Harry able/willing to give up the one living person he can still interact with? Is he willing to kill the Dark Lord when he’s (effectively) the last man on Earth?

SPLATOON VS MARIO (FULL COMIC)

I made this comic back in 2021. I'm to lazy to change the name.

THE STORY OF THE COMIC.

In an alternate universe of Super Mario Sunshine. Mario fails to stop Bowser and save Princess Peach on Isle Delfino. Both Mario and F.L.U.D.D. get frozen in a block of ice by Bowser and sink to the bottom of the ocean. Soon there was a big war with nuclear bombs and floods. Everybody dies and the age of humans is now over. 12,000 years later, Blooper Squids evolve into inklings and become the new dominant species on earth. They soon found the ice block that Mario and F.L.U.D.D were stuck in. The Inklings put them in a museum for a while but soon the Inklings saw them out and were surprised that Mario was still alive. And Mario was surprised that he is THE LAST MAN ON EARTH and everyone he cared about is now gone. Mario becomes a slave to the Inklings and he is forced to clean up the stages after every turf war. He soon gets sick of it and tries to fight back for his freedom in a battle of Man vs Fish. Also, in this alternate universe, Mario is a Vietnam War veteran and suffers from PTSD from the war. That will be relevant later.

Because it would ruin the simple storytelling. This comic is just like Madness Combat. There’s not much or any story at all. It’s just about a psychopath killing everyone. Like Punisher Kills the Marvel Universe. Don't look up a video where they recap the comic. Read it yourself. It's not that long and it's a simple read.

You: “ ...How is Mario a hero? ”

And Mario and Meggy don’t know each other. But Mario really hates her for some reason.

so me and my dad have a bit of a hard time bonding sometimes, but there’s one silly little thing we had a LOT of fun discussing, and that’s this… i’m not sure what to call it. it’s not exactly a theory, what with how absurd and obviously incorrect it is, but it’s fun.

and it basically hinges off the fact that kristen schaal tends to play very similar characters. (no hate towards her, love her, love her stuff). and how some of them kinda perfectly line up? the characters, i mean.

so behold

yeah it’s. a lot, yeah. i’m aware.

but the general story we’ve concocted goes as follows:

Mabel Pines (Gravity Falls)

sometimes after the events of gravity falls, mabel gets into either interdimensional or time travel, i do not remember which. i

this would be sometimes around her teen years. and she does this for a while,

but oh no, something went wrong! she’s forgotten her name and her past, retaining nothing but her interests, passions, and overall silliness.

cCarol Pilbasian (Last Man On Earth)

uhhhhh yeah this show is what happens next. she gets a new name, a new family, and grows up and the story of last man on earth happens.

at some ambiguous time after the events of the show, she like. gets turned into a vampire. i guess. oh and does her unclear method of sci-fi travel, sending her into the past

The Guide (What We Do In The Shadows)

turns out, her overall strangeness and romantic/sexual interests remain, . this causes issues

if you’ve seen the wwdits tv series, and are caught up, you’ll know what i’m talking about

my girl got in trouble and got assigned position as the guide, and she slowly forgets who she was previously. for a second time.

and yeah that’s the general idea. again, just a silly concept dreamed up by me and my dad. i also haven’t seen kristen schaal in a TON of things, and of course i couldn’t fit all the roles i’ve seen her in into the timeline, i have my limits. so for example, her character who i genuinely do not recall the name of from our flag means death? i’d love to but she just doesn’t fit. and uhhh i think she was the orangutan in cloudy with a chance of meatballs two? yeah that. that speaks for itself. unfortunately.

so uh. yeah ^—^
