Wonderful Precure Episode 4 Review - Meet The Nekoyashikis

Oh my gosh, Mayu’s mother Sumire is beautiful. And she’s voiced by Chiwa Saito, meaning she’s Homura Akemi and Yona. That’s a crazy choice to have for a mother character and I’m rolling with it. It’s interesting to see what the Nekoyashiki family will bring to the story now that Mayu and the cat Yuki are introduced. Iroha’s mom Yuko and Sumire are really pretty. I wonder if Satoru’s mom will be pretty too…

Mayu is very socially awkward. She gets anxious around people and it stems from her being a loner at her old school. Her only source of comfort is being around her mom and Yuki. Fortunately, meeting Iroha at the grand opening of Pretty Holic has her hope that she’ll be good friends with her. I’ve seen people make comparisons to Kokone. While they are similar, their reservedness are different. Kokone doesn’t tense up or care too much about her solitude as she preferred being alone. Only when she started befriending Yui that her awkwardness started showing. She was still willing to talk to people and doesn’t shy away when conversing. Mayu, on the other hand, is a mess when it comes to talking to people. So yeah, while both are reserved, they’re different.

Yuki is a typical cat, but I do like how her and Mayu’s relationship differs from Iroha and Komugi’s. The Inukais have it to where Iroha is like Komugi’s not-that-much-older sister while the Nekoyashikis feel like Yuki is the much older sister to Mayu. I like seeing a different type of relationship with the main duo. I also really like the interaction between Komugi and Yuki with Yuki behaving like a typical cat; she even did the tail slap, a sign that cats are stressed. My favorite part of the episode was Yuki punching Komugi for getting too close. I can tell these two are gonna be hilarious once Yuki gains the ability to change into a human.

Pretty Holic makes a return in this show as it did in previous iterations. It was a hybrid stationery shop in Hirogaru Sky and a makeup shop in Delicious Party that Kokone is a fan of. In this iteration, it is a makeup shop that Mayu’s family runs. The fact that this is the emptiest Pretty Holic I’ve seen so far is saying something…. I also like how Sumire forbids pets from entering. In the case of dogs, the cosmetic scent could be harmful to them and that they could accidentally swallow small items. This is very smart to inform. I watched an anime called Dog Signal where the main character Miyu tells a client to stop wearing perfume when around her dog as it can ruin their sense of smell. I know that pet owners want to bring their pets everywhere, but in cases like these, one has to think about their pets’ safety. Also, I love how Komugi is spewing confidential information to Yuki about herself while Sumire and the three granny customers are at hearing distance. This is like Yui, Rosemary and Pam-Pam rambling about Kome-Kome and Recipeppi stuff when Takumi is right in front of them in Episode 3 of Delicious Party.

Iroha and Komugi are tasked to search for more GaruGarus. Special Niko Animals, ones with sparkling jewels on them, are called Kirarin Animals and collecting nine of them will restore Niko Garden back to its former glory. However, I do think Iroha and Komugi’s tendency to ignore Mey Mey is a bit of an issue that hopefully will be addressed later on. I get that Komugi has a short attention span because she’s a dog, but Iroha, a human, should take these Niko Garden matters seriously and not drop everything onto Satoru. Speaking of which, Iroha just seems like someone who can’t lie or pay attention. She could’ve easily said that Komugi is her sister or a relative, but she just flubs hard with that and she even gives the impression that she’s a bad dog owner because of this. I know this is a kids’ show and I shouldn’t take this too seriously, but sometimes, the writing can be a bit asinine. I just hope that someone, whether it be a Precure, Mey Mey, or a villain, will call Iroha out on not paying attention to important details.

I like the relationship between Mey Mey and Satoru. A few episodes ago, Mey Mey had a bias towards outsiders, but now Satoru is his favorite child. It’s like night and day now. It’s adorable how clingy he is towards Satoru and the boy is even his emotional support. The fact that Mey Mey has a sheep-shaped smart phone is adorable as heck; he uses it to call Satoru when he’s upset. Cute.

Now, with the scene with the GaruGaru, I did like that it was foreshadowed that the GaruGaru of the day would be a Tanuki as there was a shot to three unhappy Tanuki in the beginning and how Komugi put on eyeshadow around her eyes like one. I was surprised that Friendy knew about Tanuki behavioral patterns… Despite that, the Tanuki GaruGaru is the first small one they encountered as previous ones were large. This means that their sizes vary and that some could even be difficult to purify due to their size and speed. Now the question is…will GaruGarus be just mammals or will there be insects and sea creatures too?

For now, this was a cute episode of fully introducing Mayu and Yuki into the story. When will they start school? When will Yuki and Mayu become Precures? I’m honestly anticipating the next episode. What are your thoughts on this episode?

Just watched episode 4 of Wonderful Pretty Cure, in which Iroha goes to the grand opening of the new Pretty Holic store and becomes acquainted with the owner's daughter, Mayu.

The episode begins with Mayu being woken up by Yuki. Seeing her mother humming to herself while sweeping outside, Mayu comments she seems to be in a good mood today. Her mother reminds her today is the grand opening of the new Pretty Holic store, and she's pretty excited to see what customers they'll get. Mayu expresses some concern, but Yuki cheers her up.

Iroha shares her information about previous encounters with Garugaru with Satoru, who writes it all down in hopes of finding some sort of pattern that might help them figure out where Garugaru might appear next. The two receive a message from Mey Mey, who asks them to come to the Niko Garden so he can show them something.

The Kirarin Rabbit they rescued last time has fully recoved, and she uses her power to fix part of the broken crystal, restoring part of the Niko Garden. Mey Mey believes that if they can find the rest of them, they may be able to restore the Niko Garden to normal and Niko themselves might return. However, Iroha decides to take her leave before Mey Mey is finished telling them to continue their mission, wanting to be the first customer at Pretty Holics opening. She and Komugi leave, but Satoru comforts Mey Mey, who is happy at least he's willing to hear him out and suggests they exchange contact info.

Iroha and Komugi arrive at the Pretty Holic store, meeting up with Mayu. Iroha is pleased to learn she's the first customer, noting she was interested in checking it out after seeing one of the cute posters Mayu made to help advertise. She recalls seeing a cat living there before and asks about her, with Mayu explaining her name is Yuki, named that because they first met on a snowy day. As Iroha is about to head in, Mayu's mother tells her Komugi will have to wait outside, since dogs might react to the scents of the make-up or accidentally swallow something they shouldn't. Iroha tells them she'll be right back as Komugi expresses her displeasure with not being allowed in.

After reminding Komugi she's not supposed to talk in front of others in dog form, she asks if she wants to switch over to human form so she can join her inside. Komugi does so, and the two head back. After a bit of an awkward exchange with Iroha trying to explain where the dog went and that this girl having the same name as the dog just happens to be a weird coincidence, the two finally head inside and take a look around. Iroha notices Komugi sniffing some of the samples, and reminds her to tone down the dog behaviour while in human form.

Iroha picks out some make-up, but admits she doesn't really know how to apply it well. Mayu's mother offers to teach her, but some other women from around the neighbourhood show up, so she asks Mayu to do it instead. Mayu is a bit nervous, having not applied make-up to anyone besides herself before, but once she gets into it, she gets really focused on her task, no longer responding to Iroha's questions while she works. While Iroha is getting her make-up done, Komugi spots Yuki outside and decides to go talk to her, with Yuki seeming a bit annoyed due to Komugi interrupting her nap.

Once the make-up is done, Iroha compliments Mayu on her work, with Mayu apologizing when she realizes she unintentionally ignored Iroha. Iroha doesn't hold it against her, however. From outside, Komugi notices that Iroha seems to be having fun, and decides to go see if she can join in. Mayu offers to let Komugi try on some eye shadow, with Komugi applying a bit too much, an amused Iroha comparing her appearance to that of a tanuki.

As they prepare to head home, Iroha notes that she hopes that she and Mayu will be in the same class, and while Mayu agrees, Iroha notices she still seems a bit anxious about something. In her room, Mayu muses that she and Iroha might even become friends, but as she recalls something from her old school, she feels insecure again and reminds herself that whatever happens, at least she'll still have Yuki. As they are walking home, with Komugi turning back to dog form once they're out of anyone's sight, Iroha wonders if there's anything she can to do help Mayu out. Komugi suggests taking a walk might make Mayu feel better, which gives Iroha an idea.

Elsewhere, a Garugaru egg hatches, with Komugi sensing it and letting Iroha know where it is. As they reach the area, they notice that the Garugaru seems to have been chewing on several things in the area. They finally spot it, with Iroha noting this one seems a bit smaller compared to previous ones. Komugi turns back into a human and transforms into Cure Wonderful, with Iroha following suit, turning into Cure Friendy.

The two begin chasing after the Garugaru, but it manages to evade them even when they try blocking its path. Cure Friendy suddenly tells Cure Wonderful to stop the chase for a moment, wondering if the Garugaru might be a little scared at the moment. She compares its situation to what Mayu is going through, being in a new place and not really knowing anyone yet. She figures the Garugaru is likely a tanuki based on its running patterns, and the two Cures decide to try to take a gentler approach in getting closer to it.

Once they catch up to it, they try getting down on all fours and slowly approach to show they're not a threat. However, the dark energy suddenly flares up, and the Garugaru rushes off. Cure Friendy realizes where it'll end up, as the Garugaru falls off a ledge and onto the road. Cure Friendy manages to rush in and pick it up before a truck hits it, with Cure Wonderful using her barrier to save the truck from crashing.

After saving it from the truck, the two Cures are able to calm down the Garugaru and turn it back to normal. With the tanuki back to normal, the Cures open the portal for it to return to the Niko Garden, reuniting it with its friends.

Mey Mey later contacts the Cures, congratulating them on another job well done. However, Iroha cuts the call short, as she and Komugi have an errand they need to fullfill. Upset at being interrupted again, Mey Mey decides to call Satoru to vent.

Iroha heads over to Mayu's place, and gives her an animal carrying bag from her family's store as a gift, telling her she can use it if she feels like taking Yuki for a walk. Mayu asks why she's giving it to her, with Iroha replying she simply wanted to give her a proper welcome to Animal Town. She tells Mayu she'll see her later, the episode ending with Mayu still surprised at this while Yuki smiles at her.

Another good episode! Iroha and Mayu finally meet, and we get to know Mayu a little better. I'm guessing Mayu may have had some difficulty making friends at her old school as well, so it's nice to see her getting to meet with Iroha ahead of school starting so she'll at least have somebody she knows at least a little there. The ending was really sweet too. Looking forward to seeing them get to know each other better.

Also looking forward to seeing what happens next!

When you had asked Coby what his favorite color was, he didn’t really have an answer for you. Not until you showed him the beauty of your favorite color.

The two of you were taking a stroll through the fields, enjoying his day off together out in the comfortable sunny weather. You stumbled upon a field of wildflowers with every shade of the rainbow as far as the eye could see. The small patch of (y/f/c) flowers instantly caught your eye and you tugged him eagerly by the arm towards it.

Coby smiled, fighting the butterflies that filled his tummy from your touch as he followed behind you with the same excitement because your own was simply contagious. He quietly admired that about you as he observed you pluck two flowers, then turned to face him with the purest, child-like smile he had ever seen on your face. It made his heart kickstart in his chest, thinking how your cuteness would surely be the death of him.

His heart only beat faster as you reached out, tucking his loose strands behind his ear to place a flower in his hair. The skin where your gentle fingers brushed against immediately heated to dangerous degrees, and suddenly, he was sweating buckets in his uniform. He knew his cheeks had to be bright red which consequently only made them burn hotter and brighter.

“That’s a good color on you, Coby. The flower I mean.” You giggled as he facepalmed and babbled incoherent apologies. Tucking the second flower in your hair, you offered him an innocent look as you presented yourself to him, “How do I look?”

There weren’t enough adjectives in the world, or rather, not enough that could accurately portray how beautiful you looked in this moment. The sun reflected off your hair, offering you a golden halo as the flower complimented your eyes, ultimately deepening the color of them. Coby swore he could sink right in them, happy to have his world consumed by you, as if it wasn’t already.

“P-pretty.” He stuttered sheepishly, cursing himself for undermining your radiance. Your small, equally bashful smile eased his worries and as you took his hand in yours to continue walking through the fields, he knew someday he’d have the courage to tell you his true feelings.

In the meantime, Coby knew he’d never see (y/f/c) the same way again now that every shade of it reminds him of you.

Next time you ask for his favorite color, he will be confident in his answer.

You were called by the other villagers as the 24/7 worried mom

Bcs you can't stop worrying over your son Luffy

It was true, he always hanged out with Ace and Sabo, however, he always comes back to the home filled with injuries and bruises

And that's what makes you worried all the time

So one day, when Ace brought him on his back severly injured, you panicked and cried all night

But poor Ace he was crying too so you had to calm him down as well

Once he woke up the next day as if nothing happened to him, he was excitedly about to go out when you carried him

" Oka-chann!!! Leave me i wanna gooo!!!" He whined

" No Lu-chan you can't go out, you need to rest, and i have a gift for you" you said

He stayed quiet looking at you in confusion until you took out a huge meat

" See, You should rest and eat this huge meat, Lu-chan, you want to become the pirates king and find the one piece right? You need to eat lots of meat to become stronger~!!!mommy wants to brag about her strong son" you giggled as you played in his raven hair

And boy, stars appeared on his eyes and he jumped to hug you, and gladly sat on his bed eating the meat, " Thank youu Oka-channn, I love youu!!!, Itadakimasu!!"

He was a stubborn kid, however he never said no to his mommy when she asked him to do sth❤️

Zoro

Zoro was tough ever since he was born, but he was such as softie from the inside.

And as his mom, you knew that clearly, that despite his blunt attitude

Even sometimes towards you, but he deeply loves you inside, bcs to him you were his everything

You'd watch him every day as he trains to become the world's strongest swords man

You even cheered when he won, only to get him more flustered asking you to leave

" Oka-chan!!! You're embarrassing me pleaseee just watch me without saying anything!!" He'd ask you with his reddish face

However, his life wouldn't be just about training, he'd come also to the market to help you out in your shopping, since he's strong😏

Of course you always make sure to hold his hand tightly and ask him to stay right next to you

" Oka-chan I wanna go there and see those"

"No No my Dear Zo-chan, stay right beside mommy, remember the last time you left my side? You were lost for a freakin day!"

" Its right infront of us, I won't get lost"

" No Zoro, I'll take you there myself, just don't get away for me or I'll definitely start crying again" you pouted

He's just end up sighing, and will wait until you take him there

Zoro was a blunt kid, but with pure intentions and a warm heart, and You'd be so much proud of him when his name will spread around the world.

Sanji

And surprisingly he learnt them from the first two times only, and cooked them better than you~!!

Once, due to a sudden weather change, you fell sick quite terribly

But your angelic son Sanji was there for you, he even made you a soup and took care of you until you recovered

" San-chan sweetie, mommy is so sorry for making you taking care of her" you said but Sanji immediately jumped into your embrace

" No Oka-san, don't say sorry, I'll be always here for you, bcs you were always there for me, supporting my dreams and taking care of me, its fine to let me take care of you" he said hugged you with his tiny figure

You could feel the tears sliding on your cheeks, " Oh my god ....I'm the luckiest mom on earth to have you as my son Sanji, Mommy promises you that she'll watch over you as you achieve your dream and become a successful chef one day" you enveloped him as he whipped your tears with his tiny fingers with a huge grin on his face

Law was a very smart calm boy

His calmness would make you worry sometimes

Bcs he doesn't usually go out to play with kids in his age and instead

He spends most of his time studying from those medical books

He was not forced at all, he was passionate towards it and you can't stop him

You were afraid that he might feel lonely staying all the time by himself

So you'd make him snack and fresh juices and join him for a while

" Lawy sweetie, here you go drink this, you know you should stay hydrated~" as caressed his cheeks

He'd answer you with a " Thank you Oka-san, I'll make sure to drink it all" with a smile

" So what have you learned today? Can you tell mommy~?" As you curiously looked at his notes

And he would start to elaborate everything he studied about this part of the body and explains the possible disease and how to cure them

You grew prouder with each thing he said and looked at him with adoration

He noticed it and asked " Oka-san, is there something wrong? Are you alright?" As he worriedly holded your hands

You shook your head assuring him that you're fine

" Lawy....If mommy will get sick someday, will you cure her?" You'd ask him with a smile but he'll frown

" Oka-san! Don't say such thing, you won't get sick as long as I'm here, you have the best doctor in the world by your side, and if anything possibly happen, I will gladly cure you so you don't have to worry" he said ressuring you with his bright eyes

" Alright then, Promise me that you will always stay with mommy, bcs she can't live without her Lawy" you said on the verge of tears

" I promise" he said as he hugged you tightly

Law was your dear little son, you were always proud of him and you were sure he'd be a successful doctor one day, you can't imagine your live without him, bcs he's all what you've got, and he won't leave your side either🖤

Hello. I had this cursed idea in my head from a discussion with @donvampiro and decided to just post it for the world to see. Maybe I'll make Ace next.

You probably had that habit of going "Meow~" out of nowhere from time to time. At first, Sabo thought that he misheard and he didn't make a fuss about it.

At times he even thought that this quirk of yours was cute and unique. That it was maybe a way for you to express your more animalistic side.

But then, as your meows were getting more frequent...And sometimes even a way to get his attention, he knew that he had to take things in hand.

To make sure that things are under control, you see ?

It started when you would keep “meowing” and making little sounds while he was trying to work or get some paperwork done.

He felt himself losing focus, distracted by your little voice. I wouldn’t say that he didn’t try though, he really did, but he just couldn’t focus.

His eyebrow twitches as he thinks “Seems like my feral kitten needs some taming.” He wouldn’t do much that day, he would stay silent, probably move to another room to get his work done.

You would sigh thinking that your aggressive meowing failed to get his attention but Oh god were you wrong…

You realize this when he comes back home the next day with a leash, a collar and some cat ears.

“If you want to play this little game, then let’s do it the right way, alright ?”

Sabo never thought much of his kinks or the things that he was into sexually. He is a man that follows his tastes in the heat of the moment. Your cute quirk has awakened that side of him.

Brat tamer much ?

“Sabo, what does this mean ?” you try to feign ignorance, acting as if you weren’t into all of this and as if you didn’t understand his meaning. He gets it, but he loves to play along.

“Only meowing allowed” he says with a shit eating grin. “Kittens don’t talk.” He then puts the leash around your neck and how could anyone protest ?

The leash comes in handy as he likes to tie you to bed or to a chair while he is working, this way you are not getting in his way.

But this will only make you meow louder and louder in an attempt to get a bit of attention.

“Be a good girl and stay quiet okay ? I won’t be too long. Master has some work to do.”

The way he calls himself master is so satisfying to the ears. And his soft voice, the way he punctuates his sentences with a slight drop in his tone, it’s all too much. You can only nod your head.

But the brat side takes over when you feel his hand gently caressing your cheek. It’s too tempting not to. And you just bite his fingers.

His eyes darken, is he annoyed or amused ? Or maybe a bit of both.

“Such an aggressive kitten. Looks like we need to teach you some manners, hm ? What are guests going to think of you, meowing and biting their fingers like this ?, They will think that your master didn’t tame you properly…

We can’t let that happen, right ?”

His taming technique is to deny you. Yes, making you crave and yearn for his affection, brushing your face, thighs only slightly and not giving in to you.

He will just drive you insane till you’re desperate for his attention.

You will learn that you have to actually “obey” to get his praise. And god is he good at praising.

Let’s imagine : Sabo sitting on his chair, tapping his knee with two gloved fingers. And you get the signal, sitting on his lap. He lovingly caresses your hair.

“Good girl, see ? It’s not that hard to behave.”

Female reader developed a crush on Koby since he stood up against Akainu in Marineford. Someday at a party at the marine´s, you get drunk, too drunk. Koby takes you to your room before a disaster happens. You two get stuck in the elevator while everyone is busy partying.

I really hope you like it! <3 A little disclaimer! At some point, the ¨too drunk¨ part vanished from my brain, so our reader is just... drunk, hahaha.

¨Y/N-san!¨ 

You were wiping a sweat drop from your forehead when the pink-haired boy appeared beside you, offering an isotonic drink and a warm smile. 

You did your best to hide the tiny heart attack you had.

¨Koby-san!¨ you shouted, smiling awkwardly. ¨Oh... is it for me?¨

¨Of course! You have been working really hard these days.¨

¨Thanks.¨ you took the drink from his hands. The heat and condensation caused a layer of cold sweat to wrap the bottle. ¨I just don´t know why they are making us help prepare this party. They have a team for this, Koby-san! Besides, we´re Captains now.¨ you pouted the last bit. 

¨Yeah...¨ he scratched the back of his neck. ¨well, at least we get to spend some time together!¨

¨I know, I just-¨ you stopped talking as his words processed in your brain. 

You felt your blood vessels dilating on your cheeks, leaving a hot sensation on your face. 

Perhaps he was just being polite, or maybe you were making a big deal out of this, but you couldn´t help. You have been fond of him for a while now, and you couldn't stop that involuntary reaction of your body when he said such lovely things. 

Koby realized the words that came out of his mouth, and the scene that followed made even your spirit giggle. His eyes opened wide, and you could almost feel his throat running dry with all his stuttering.

 If that was a blushing competition, you would be down to the second place. 

¨W-We´ve been on separate missions for ten months, right? I m-mean... and it´s not dangerous or anything, and-¨ 

¨Yeah, you´re right, Koby-san.¨ a smitten smile blossomed on your lips, and you tried to hide it by sipping the refreshing drink. 

As stated by the boy, you had spent almost a year in different locations of the Grand Line, leading missions of your own. That was the kind of thing you had to do as promoted Captains.

You had no idea where Koby ended up going. These subjects could not be discussed over snail transponders, just for precaution. In fact, you barely spoke to him during this time. There were only a few nights when you would exchange coded messages. 

Since you became Captains, your tasks have kept you apart for much longer than before. You couldn't help but miss him and wonder how he must be doing during those times. 

You have already met thousands of Marines. Some even stronger and more agile than him, but no one had his willpower. You would put your hands on the fire for that. 

Whenever you felt unmotivated or helpless, the memory of the boy standing up against Sakazuki, putting his life on the line to honor his fallen comrades made your blood burn hotter. 

He did what no one else had the guts to do. 

Too blinded by the bloodshed, in the end, the number of casualties made it clear that accomplishing the task was no reason to celebrate.

When the sole of your shoes stained with blood and the blade of your sword sliced through anyone who didn´t wear the justice symbol on their back, you questioned if the Marines had finally lost their purpose. 

You should be civilized and do justice, but not at the expense of soldiers who had families to return to. If the target had already been eliminated, why were you still fighting? 

A chill ran down your spine when, for the first time, you looked up and faced the massacre. It was as if before, you could look at everything and, at the same time, see nothing. 

If Koby hadn´t stood up at that moment, you wouldn´t be here today. Maybe for leaving, maybe for dying. But his act of braveness and courage returned a bit of your hope. 

You wanted to see how far he could go, and hopefully, you would be by his side. 

Before, you used to watch him, along with his colleague Helmeppo, getting beat up and beat up by Garp and always put himself back on his feet. 

You wondered if they were training kamikaze marines now. 

From your room, you had a perfect view of the training circuit, so you could see the cycle repeating itself over and over again. Boys, seduced by the idea of absolute justice, strength, and power to fight bad guys, came to Marineford willing to prove their worth. They would fall a few times before the sparkle in their eyes started to fade. 

Eventually, they would fade too. 

Those boys, however, fell and fell, being punched to a pulp, then patched back together only to suffer on Garp´s hands again. Watching them became your late-night entertainment, and seeing their improvements and growth turned out to warm your heart. 

At some point, you were assigned to be their opponent, and from that moment on, your days became brighter. They would share the craziest stories and tell the funniest jokes. Or not so much tell jokes. They were naturally clumsy and fun. 

Although, if you could choose, you would prefer to spend more time with Koby. Nothing against Helmeppo, he was just too much sometimes. But apparently, they came in a two-for-one pack.

It has been only a few hours since the party started and you reached the jackpot. You had taken all your frustrations on alcohol and rice cakes, and it showed. 

Every ten seconds, the memory of what you wanted to do disappeared, and that was somehow hilarious, making you explode in laughter and cause commotions. So for every ten seconds during the first hours, one of the last remaining sober in the enclosure had tiny cardiac arrests. 

Everyone was drunk enough to have a good time without causing any trouble. But the detail worth mentioning was that your party had started a little earlier, under the statement that you needed a little incentive to help you through the night. 

It meant that your energetically loud phase was close to reaching its end, giving place for your sleepy and distracted persona. Your eyes felt heavier by the second, light dizziness fogging your brain, but it felt relaxing. 

¨You know Koby is a type of meat?¨ you said, resting your chin on the table and giggling to yourself.

¨Y/N-san, I-I don´t think that´s the name of it.¨ his face turned red as he shifted on the cushion, adjusting his posture. 

¨Ugh, you´re so nervous Koby, you should relax.¨ you sang the last syllable. ¨Look at Meppo, he´s relaxing.¨

Your lips bent in a goofy smile as you watched your comrades building an okaki tower on Helmeppo´s head. The blonde had passed out on the table a few minutes earlier, too exhausted and drunk. He looked so peaceful in his sleep that a yawn escaped your mouth, catching Koby´s attention. 

¨Y/N-san, you should go to bed already. Y-You look tired.¨ his voice trembled when he took sight of your sparkling but sleepy eyes, rosy face, and messy hair. 

¨Hmm, no... I´m still good.¨

Another yawn. 

¨Come, I can walk you to your room before you relax like Helmeppo.¨ 

Your brain was working in slow motion, so by the time you thought of answering him, your grip was already tight in his. A little tighter than necessary, but you were afraid your wobbly legs would cease, and honestly, he didn't object at all.

The air outside the salon made your nostrils hurt within every breath, not because it was freezing cold but because the alcohol made your body run hotter than usual. Your ears felt like they were clogged, but that was merely the tingling silence on the empty hall. 

When he guided you inside of the elevator and pressed the corresponding button to your floor, your gasp, which echoed through the narrow walls, made Koby jump back, scanning for any sign of danger. 

¨Oh my God, look at this, Koby!¨ 

He watched you walk closer to the panel, completely mesmerized. ¨Uh... what, Y/N-san?¨ 

¨Wow! They never did this before!¨ you shouted, falling on your knees and leaning in like a child on an ice cream shop showcase. 

The boy kept staring at you, who pressed the buttons in a row with shimmering eyes. What was in that saké?

¨They never did...?¨

¨Look!¨ you clicked some more. ¨When I press the buttons... they light up!¨

A moment of silence fell upon the two of you, and although Koby always felt comfortable in your presence, he wasn´t sure what to do now.  

You, on the other hand, didn´t seem to mind, too focused on your groundbreaking discovery. 

¨Y/N-san, they have always...¨

¨This is so cool!¨

¨Y/N-san... I don´t think you should...¨

¨What does this one do-¨

A loud shriek escaped your mouth when the shaking of the elevator took you off balance, making your butt meet the floor in a thump. The lights flashed a few times before everything in your sight was pitch black. 

You heard Koby call your name, asking if you were hurt, but all you could do was hold still, fearing for your life. The alcohol made the bouncing feel like a devastating earthquake. 

¨Y/N-san!¨ you felt light pats on your shoes. ¨Are you ok? I can´t see anything!¨ 

Koby crawled on the floor, using your foot as a way to locate you. 

¨Koby, stop moving.¨ you whispered, but he seemed not to hear, lost in his rumbles. ¨Koby, stop moving!. We´re going to fall.¨

¨Wh-no! Y/N-san, are you hurt?¨

¨No, I don´t think so.¨ you answered, head swirling and heart racing in your chest. 

¨Y/N-san, did you press the emergency button?¨ 

¨No!¨ you stopped for a second, failing to hold your drunken giggles for yourself. ¨But that´d be a great idea right now. I think I remember where it is!¨ 

You twisted your body towards the panel, ignoring Koby´s attempts to stop you, and started to touch the many buttons, searching for the emergency one. 

Click. 

Click. 

Click, click, click. 

¨It´s not worki-¨ you squealed when the elevator struck again, piercing sound of creaking metal cooling every disc in your spine.

¨Y/N-san, please stop pressing the buttons!¨ Koby cried. 

The feeling was too strange. You felt everything rocking slightly, no light was coming in, and the adrenaline made it difficult for you to calm down and adapt to the darkness. 

Your breathing had already become irregular and heavier when the emergency light turned on. It was dim and greenish but better than nothing. 

¨Oh, no.¨ he said.

¨No, no. Don´t say oh, no.¨ You shook your head. 

¨Y/N-san, that´s the emergency light.¨

¨Yeah, so...?¨

¨So the elevators are not a priority now.¨

¨And that´s bad...?¨

¨Well, yes, because the energy is being used somewhere else.¨

You stared at him for a few seconds. All of his words made total sense, and in a normal situation, you would be able to handle it without further complications. 

¨Koby, I don´t know if you´re getting somewhere...¨

¨Y/N-san, there was probably a problem with the generators, and they had to redirect the energy consumption.¨ you nodded, starting to connect some dots in your head. ¨I think they are sending everything to the kitchen beca-¨

¨Wait.¨ you said with a terrified expression painted all over your face. ¨We´re stuck?¨

He saw the panic grow in your eyes. 

¨Y-Yes. B-But it should be back soon, don´t worry. Someone will come.¨ 

You remained in silence for the first hour, mainly because you kept falling asleep.

Little by little, the effects of the alcohol on your body began to cease and your temperature to cool down. Added to that, the darker the night fell, the chillier it got. So at some point, you couldn´t sleep anymore because your bones wouldn´t stop shivering. 

Koby handed you his coat as soon as he took notice of your discomfort. 

¨No, you don´t have to-¨

¨Y/N-san, you´ll end up getting sick.¨ he spoke, leaning a bit forward so you could take the piece of clothing. 

¨Thanks.¨

A huge smile rose on your lips when the coat fell on your shoulders. It was incredibly warm and had his soothing laundry fresh smell. 

Maybe with a hint of meat from the party. 

It served you like a cape, so you pulled the collars closer to your body and curled up to retain the warmth. If you closed your eyes, you could almost feel like it was him. 

That granted you another nap. 

Still, after about twenty minutes, something woke you up. This time it was a sneeze from Koby, who leaned against the wall, hugging his legs close to his body. 

Guilt hit you right in the guts. 

You crawled towards him, gently poking his leg. 

¨Koby-san...¨

He raised his head and mumbled something you didn't understand. Maybe he asked if you were ok. 

¨I... I´m still a little cold... c-can I sit by your side?¨

¨Uh? Yes, of course.¨ he shifted on the same spot, only to return to the previous position. 

His voice was a little nasal and rasped, probably from the cold. You hoped he wouldn´t get a sore throat. 

The coat became a blanket that you used to cover both of your legs, although he made sure you had gotten the bottom end since it had more fabric.

¨Are you feeling better, Y/N-san?¨

¨I am, thank you.¨ you whispered.

¨Y-You can lay on my shoulder... if you want.¨

You smiled and did as he suggested, curling up closer to him. It took you very little to fall asleep once you rested your head on his shoulder. His body began to feel warmer, and he even asked if you wanted to hook your arm with his to maintain warmth. 

Using the last bit of boldness provided by the saké, you reached for his hand. You had this sensation, deep down, that the feelings you carried for him were reciprocated. But you could deal with this some other time. For now, you focused on calming down the fireworks inside of your chest. 

[EXTRA SCENE]

A roaring noise followed by a ray of light fished you out of whatever dreams you were having. You pulled the blanket up to cover your eyes and snuggled deeper into the warm body in front of you.

Nothing crossed his mind at that moment. All you wanted to do was get rid of the light and have a few more hours to sleep. However, a sound like a throat clearing caught your attention.

You blinked a few times, images of last night taking form in your memory. The last thing you remembered before blacking out was you leaning against Koby.

I must have slipped to the floor at some point. 

Your hands were wrapped in a turquoise fabric, and it didn't take long for you to realize that the fabric was wrapped around someone.

You ended up lying in front of each other, sharing his uniform. Your face a few centimeters from his chest.

After yawning a couple of times, you opened a distance to look at him. 

His face was wrinkled, brows furrowed, and lips turned into a pout. The round glasses were no longer on his head, and the bandana, like his hair, was frowzy. 

So adorable.

A louder throat clearing made you turn your head. The groggy smile on your lips disappeared instantly with the image of the elevator repairer, Garp, and dozens of other marines staring at the two of you.

Law x Reader | College AU | Roommate | Chapter 1

i wanted this one to be an oneshot, but i can't help writing long stories aaaa

You’ve been searching for a place to stay for a few hours now, starting to get a little worried, since no one was looking for roommate anymore.

You used to live with your parents, but since they moved to another state, you had to find a place to stay. Since you helped them moving during summer break and completely forgot to fill the housing forms.

Meanwhile, Trafalgar Law, a friend of your friend, was also looking for a place to stay. The landlord asked for the apartment back as soon as possible.

His previous roommate, Rosinante, got expelled because of some confusion at the chemistry lab. The guy was very clumsy. So him and a bunch of chemicals would be a bad combination.

ꟷ Hey, (Y/N), are you still looking for a place to stay? ꟷ your friend, Nami, asked. ꟷ If it helps, Luffy mentioned something about Law needing someone to share an apartment with. You should go talk to him.

ꟷ Law? I don’t know… ꟷ you hesitated. ꟷ He doesn’t seem too friendly. I mean, he barely talks to us. I think he won’t want to live with me.

ꟷ Give it a try. Don’t you have to give your parents’ house keys in just a few days anyway?

ꟷ You’re right… I’ll look for him and talk about it. Thank you, Nami.

It didn’t take you long to find him reading a book in the library. You felt reluctant at first, how would you approach him? He was closer with Luffy, who was one of your best friends. But Law never made effort to try and talk to you.

ꟷ Hm, hey… ꟷ you said, sitting on a chair in front of him. ꟷ I’m sorry to bother you. But Nami said you were looking for a place to stay, and someone to share a place with?

He nodded, closing his book. Taking a glance at the cover, it was some medical book.

ꟷ I’m looking for a place to stay too. If you’re still looking, and if you want, of course… We can share a place.

ꟷ If you’re as loud and messy as Luffy, I’ll have to decline. Sorry, (Y/N)-ya. ꟷ he finally looked at you.

ꟷ No, no. I’m organized, I’m quiet… I swear, you won’t even notice I’m there.

He thought for a while, and sighed.

ꟷ Alright. ꟷ he paused. ꟷ I’m looking for some places already, but they’re either too expensive or too far from the campus. If you can, help me to find some too. We don’t have much time left.

You and him spent the next couple of hours looking for apartments or houses, until you found the perfect place. On budget, near your college… But it was too good to be true. No pets were allowed, which it was alright since neither of you had any pets.

The real problem was: the landlord made it clear that he would only rent the place for couples. Since the apartment complex had families and older couples, apparently he didn’t think it’d be a good idea to rent the place to irresponsible college students. Which is understandable.

ꟷ Well, let’s keep looking… We'll find something eventually. ꟷ he said, a bit defeated by now.

ꟷ Unless… ꟷ you said, getting his attention. ꟷ It’s not as if he’ll want to see our marriage certificate, right? So we can just pretend, he doesn’t need to know the truth.

ꟷ And do you think it’ll work? I mean, if he lives near or the neighbors tell him, he’ll kick us out. And he won’t be wrong.

ꟷ We just pretend in front of our neighbors, it can’t be that hard. We just have to call each other cute nicknames, and that’s it.

ꟷ I can’t believe I’m agreeing with that…

You contacted the landlord, setting an interview for the next morning already.
