What were the Killing Eve screenwriters expecting with that ending? What I don’t understand is, do you not want your show to be succesful? I doesn’t make any sense. Everyone had the best things to say about this show previous to season 4 and now what everyone talks about is that shitty, non creative, idiotic and atrocious pieace of garbage ending. Were they expecting people to like it? How? Yes, some shows end in tragedy and it is ok, but this felt very out of place for this show in particular and you can tell by the fans’ reactions. It fits other narratives and other stories across various pieces of media but in Killing Eve it felt foreign, completely detached from the show’s arc and forced. STOP THE BURY YOUR GAYS TROPE. wlw deserve good, happy endings and I am tired of all the tragic queer stories. Every time I watch a movie/show that includes wlw I am terrified it will turn tragic because all writers know is to treet queer characters like shit. Do people not realize the harm stories like that cause to our community? That we only see tragic stories and death revolving queer people? It took me so long to figure out my queerness because I subconsciously viewed queerness as tragic and dark, obviously affected by how the media represents us and the homophobia in our society. Killing Eve was one of my favorite shows and helped me a lot with my sexuality, only to backstab me (and others) like that. It is not a coincidence that almost every single fan hated that atrocity of an ending.

I still don't understand how they plan to make the count form a contract with mikuni. As far as we know the only thing the count wants is to be one with kuro. Why should he care about what lily or mikuni want for the world? He hasn't cared about what people wanted before, half the servamps resented him for turning them into vampires. Just because tsubaki promised it? If the count is back tsubaki did what he was tasked to do and even without an eve the count would probably be strong enough to simply not comply to their wishes/agreements.

I kinda doubt the count is overly interested in being mikuni's tool.

the last scene of season three of killing eve is definitely, like, the true ending of killing eve, isn't it?? you can feel that everything builds to that conversation that they have where they're really honest and open and understanding with each other, and villanelle being the one to initiate walking away out of love for eve shows her growth, and the absolutely stunning choice of MUSIC and the EMOTIONS on their BEAUTIFUL FACES and the TRYING TO WALK AWAY and the TURNING BACK and that magical little chime of hope that rings us out into the end credits. like, that's the absolute perfect moment to end that story on that absolutely sums up everything. the weight of what's happened and the promise of the future; the fact that they just can't stay away from each other presented as something beautiful and golden in that moment instead of something ruinous. i love their time together in the finale of season four because their chemistry is so good and it's so incredible to finally get to see them having fun together and loving each other, but everything felt so off all season, and the end is horrible and empty, and i think it's because they were trying to extend the story past its natural ending, which was that scene on the bridge at the end of season three. i almost wish i could magically eternal sunshine season four's existence out of my brain, except that i don't know if i'm strong enough to part with all the romancey moments from the season four finale. aughhhh!

but truly: killing eve has the perfect series finale, it's just that it happened a season too early.
