Mommyclan design fight preferences
Heyy i'm late to the party but I want to participate a little bit :] I will likely get a chance to do a few attacks next week if not the next couple days. Once I am assigned to a team, I will edit this post with which team I am on.
My favorite design elements are the following:
-complex designs -for cat designs, I especially like tortoiseshells, mackerel tabbies, medicine cats, scars and injuries, white markings, and interesting silhouettes. -animals like cats, dogs and other canids, otters, deer, raccoons -fantasy creatures like dragons, unicorns, monsters based on mythology -humans and humanoid characters -Dead leaves, Autumn harvest or Halloween themes -Nature, fruit or garden motifs -Bird (especially seabirds and jays)/ spider/ insect/jellyfish/shrimp/fish motifs -Khokhloma painting motifs -Blue/pink, green/red, teal/red, lilac/sage, brown/cream, pastel or natural color schemes -accessories -parts of a character that look like theyre clothes. but theyre a body part -LORE AND BACKSTORY!!!!!! Give the character a job or a hobby or something!!!
I really love when characters are designed with a story or concept in mind. My favorite character tropes are the following (in no particular order):
-Girl who is sopping wet crying just got pulled out of the sea suffering -Characters who are genuinely not nice to look at -Socialist farmer -Student who has not slept this week -Little autism creature -Whatever Silvermist from Tinkerbell has going on -Jaded old people -Guy who will never make up for the hurt they have caused -Character with sweet familial connections -Character with dysfunctional familial connections -Unabashed teen angst -Are they a beast creature or are they still a person? -Rural housewife -Cottagecore girlypop who maims people -Kid who has suffered the flames of the United States public school system -Character with a very specific special interest or academic niche -Character being supernaturally changed over time against their will
Bases are ok! Please take the prompts above as literally as you want to! Mix them or go by vibes! And don’t feel like you need to limit yourself to warrior cats designs! Humans, animals, fantasy guys and furries are all ok! Please avoid stereotyping or potentially harmful tropes, and hide any potentially upsetting content behind a “read more” when you post. Thank you!

Crafting Cultures: Exploring the Artistry of Turkish Hand-Painted Ceramics, Korean Wax Candles
Tumblr media
In a world where mass production dominates, there's a growing appreciation for the unique and intricate beauty that handmade crafts bring to our lives. Among the myriad of artisanal traditions, the artistry of Turkish hand-painted ceramics, Korean wax candles, Russian embroidery, and handmade carpets stand out as captivating expressions of cultural heritage and craftsmanship.
土耳其手繪陶瓷
Step into the vibrant bazaars of Turkey, and you'll discover a treasure trove of hand-painted ceramics that reflect the country's rich history and artistic traditions. Turkish ceramic artists, often referred to as "çini" masters, meticulously create stunning pieces adorned with intricate patterns and vibrant colors. The art of hand-painting ceramics has been passed down through generations, with each piece telling a story of Turkey's cultural diversity and artistic prowess.
From plates and bowls to intricate tiles, Turkish hand-painted ceramics showcase a kaleidoscope of geometric patterns and floral motifs. The use of bold colors such as cobalt blue, emerald green, and fiery red adds to the visual allure, making these ceramics prized possessions for collectors and enthusiasts alike.
韓式蠟燭
Korean culture is deeply intertwined with a respect for nature and a focus on harmony, principles that are beautifully reflected in the art of making traditional wax candles. Crafted by skilled artisans, Korean wax candles are more than mere sources of light; they are symbols of tradition and elegance.
The meticulous process involves using natural materials, such as beeswax and traditional Korean paper, known as "hanji." The candles are often molded into intricate shapes, representing symbols of good fortune, prosperity, and longevity. Lighting a Korean wax candle becomes a sensory experience, as the subtle fragrance of beeswax fills the air, creating a serene ambiance.
俄羅斯刺繡
Russian embroidery is a centuries-old tradition that has endured the test of time, preserving the stories and folklore of the Russian people. Skilled artisans use needle and thread to create intricate patterns on fabric, transforming simple garments into works of art.
From the delicate "Gzhel" patterns to the vibrant "Khokhloma" designs, Russian embroidery reflects the diverse cultural influences that have shaped the country over the years. Each stitch is a testament to the dedication and skill of the artisan, making Russian embroidery a timeless and cherished art form.
手工地毯
The art of crafting handmade carpets transcends borders, with each region contributing its unique style and techniques to this time-honored tradition. Whether it's the detailed Persian carpets, the vibrant Moroccan rugs, or the intricate Turkish kilims, handmade carpets are woven tales of tradition and craftsmanship.
Artisans painstakingly weave carpets by hand, using traditional techniques passed down through generations. The result is not just a floor covering but a piece of art that adds warmth and character to any space. The patterns and motifs on these carpets often carry cultural significance, telling stories of the communities that create them.
In a world that sometimes feels fast-paced and disconnected, these crafts remind us of the beauty that comes from slow, intentional creation. The artistry of Turkish hand-painted ceramics, Korean wax candles, Russian embroidery, and handmade carpets invites us to appreciate the richness of cultural heritage and the skilled hands that bring these traditions to life.

Khokhloma
Khokhloma, Hohloma or Khokhloma painting (хохлома) is the name of a Russian wood painting handicraft style and national ornament, known for its curved and vivid, mostly flower, berry and leaf patterns. Often the Slavic mythical figure of Russian fairytales Firebird is also a part of Khokhloma painting. When painted on wood, in most cases red, black, green, yellow and orange are used over a gold background. The effect it has when applied to wooden tableware or furniture, making it look heavier and metal-like. The Khokhloma painting symbolizes the high importance of forests and nature in Russian culture and its history. Russia comprises the world's largest forest area. wiki

Felt really inspired by Russian folk art when I painted this horse. Sort of a melding of Gzhel and Khokhloma with a little bit of Mezen mixed in.
Also I want to live in this fantasy night garden, just sayin'
