guys pls be careful with anyone going into your inbox and asking for donations. unless you know them personally it's almost always a scam. look at blogs and ask yourself if it seems legit. search the contents of the ask and see if theyve sent the same ask to other people completely unrelated to your sphere. scam blogs now are reblogging some posts to seem legit but only have maybe five posts maximum, all reblogs. almost all of them being unrelated save for a topic similar to the one they are asking money for. recently theres been a scam of someone asking for donations for a family member in palestine. PLEASE check before posting or donating. use critical thinking skills. its disgusting there are people using this genocide as a way to scam others out of money. lastly please look towards actual palestinian bloggers who can verify donation links. remember: if theyre in your inbox it's highly likely its a scam

To clarify because I saw a few people wondering, SynthV works exactly the same as Vocaloid (and other big commercial engines that have been around a while, like CeVIO AI/VoiSona) where the voice providers consent to their voices being used and are financially compensated for it, and there are precautions in place like terms of service users must agree to to use the vocals, but the vps are aware of what they're getting into when they sign up. SynthV was making AI vocals a while before the popularity boom of unethical AI; they're totally separate things.

A note on asks

Hi all!

First off, I've absolutely LOVED receiving all of your asks. My interactions with you guys are honestly what makes writing IFs so fulfilling and wonderful for me. I couldn't do what I do without all the messages y'all send in. (If only people sent me messages praising what I do at my day job! Like, "love the row of trees you just planted here" or "knowing I'll have housing when I'm 60 makes me cry tears of happy joy")

Anyway. Because it's been asked before, and the numbers in my inbox keep ticking up and I know I won't be able to get to everyone, here's a bit of a low-down on how my approach on answering asks :)

I'll dedicate one weekday evening a week to answering at least 8(?) asks.

I'll eventually get to every ask that's asked off anon.

Other than that, I'll try my best to answer everything, but if I don't, do know that I still LOVED receiving it, so thank you for reaching out.

As a writer, I still want to prioritize writing! So, if I'm particularly active on tumblr, or the forums, it's 'cause I'm resting from a big update—and when I'm quiet, it's actually 'cause I'm being really productive! So, pros and cons I guess :)

Lastly, your support truly makes my heart feel warm and fuzzy. So thank you. Love you all.

Just a quick FYI

Dramas and all are dying down and people are moving on, me included, but there's one thing i want to make clear because it's been bugging and hurting me for quite some time.

After "Killian" was exposed, some people, many who interact with me, have been calling him a "narcissist", diagnosing a horrible man with a legitimate disorder, also very eager to express how narcissists are incapable of remorse, are manipulators, and generally horrible abusers.

Fun fact about me, I HAVE Narcissistic Personality Disorder, I'm a narcissist. Every time i see someone armchair diagnose a bad person with narcissism a part of me dies, it genuinely made me less motivated to create and less welcome in this space (especially connected with some other people making the Killian thing about men being creepy in fandom spaces, which, hello! I'm a man! If you haven't noticed!) I'm not gonna dwell on my experience with npd here (but if any of you genuinely want to educate yourselves, or have any questions, my DM's/askbox are open, i'd be happy to answer them) but i just want to express how hurt some people have made me because of them saying this shit or interacting with this shit. If you have a problem with narcissists, you have a problem with me.

If your first instinct after someone hurts you is to diagnose them with an already demonized mental illness, FUCK OFF. Block me, get out.

Hey so just a quick psa that I probably won’t be continuing boys on film. I’m sorry to anyone who wanted a good ending but I’ve had a lot of people tell me the latest chapter was disappointing…

I thought them not talking for a year made sense and like losing someone so quickly after a fight was relatable and I thought having that little smutty dance floor scene was hot and like made sense cause they were all tipsy and jealous and riled up (and also the fact that it is fiction) but I guess not.

I really don’t have time in my life right now to be writing and I was only doing it when I had time because it was fun and made me happy but it no longer does. So yeah, I’m sorry but as of right now I won’t be continuing it

hey ummmm jsyk the red cross is going through a severe blood shortage. if you are eligible, please donate—from the beginning of august to about mid-september 2023 alone, the red cross has lost about 25% of its blood supply, and has been sending blood to hospitals at a MUCH faster rate than it has been receiving donations.

giving ONE pint of blood can save THREE people’s lives. power red donations (which require certain conditions be met) can allow you to safely give TWICE AS MUCH blood. plasma can be given once every two weeks, making it more frequent, but again, you must meet certain conditions.

also, i’m not sure if this is a thing in just my state or nationally, but if you give blood before October 20th 2023, they give you a free $15 Amazon gift card. i believe we shouldn’t need incentives for things like this but in case that is a motivator for anyone, check what they’re doing in your state!

i cannot understate the importance of giving blood right now if you are eligible and have the means. you could help so many people by regularly giving. someone in the united states needs blood every two (2) seconds, and while three people doesn’t sound like a lot, many people together donating could save up to thousands.

please share this around. it’s something i’m insanely passionate about and i wish more people were.

alright so i think people who are newer to my blog don’t really know this about me yet, so im not faulting anybody for not knowing, but here i am, stating this now:

basically, the short of it is that, if dominic himself has not commented on it, i won’t talk about it. and that goes for a lot: relationships, upcoming projects, details about his life, rumors, etc. he’s been very generous with the information he’s given the media and the public regarding different parts of his life, but there’s also a lot that we don’t know, because he hasn’t said anything about it. i don’t want to spread false information, whether it be harmless or something more, so, unless he’s either said it with his own mouth or has been directly quoted saying it, i will not believe it as true until i see proof from him.

like, for example, a few days ago, i saw a thing going around that claimed dom said he liked metal music. i didn’t see the direct source of where he said this, and i still haven’t, so i don’t want to harp on this detail if it ends up being not what he said. that’s a very low stakes and harmless example, but the point stands: i didn’t see him say it, so, in my mind, he didn’t say it.

so tl;dr— if dom hasn’t commented on it, i won’t either. that goes for rumors, relationships, etc. so don’t come asking me who this person is and how they’re associated with him or what his new movie’s gonna be about or what he did at deerfield, because my answer is going to be the same every time: i don’t know, and i don’t care.
