while i've been recovering from my semester i treated myself to making some Updated Ref Sheets for my Special Little Trio! and here they are!! new and improved buck, davey and minnie for your viewing pleasure. there's been a lot of little tweaks and changes to their designs since I first concepted them a year ago...!!

Growing is realizing you don't have to be really hyper feminine to be seen as pretty or valid just because you're plus size.

After 2-3 year's of changing my style to skirts, dresses, and wearing a bunch of pink it took a single pair of men's jorts from the thrift store to make me feel confidence I've never felt before. I went to a cookout in my jorts, a random band shirt, Franky button shirt and It was eye opening to say the least. Ik it's probably gross but I didn't take those pants off for 3 DAYS (I showered tho don't worry💀) cause they were the first pair of pants that didn't make me feel like I constantly had to look down and check to see if my thighs looked weird.

The last 3 year's of my life I have tried to change myself in ways to make myself look feminine. I would spend hours anxiously trying to find something that didn't make me feel gross just to go to the grocery store. Cause I was always scared to wear a t shirt and sweat pants cause I didn't want people to think I'm gross or lazy just cause I'm fat/plus size. Which is insane.

I'm proud to say I'm not a woman. I'm genderqueer/transmasculine and I have never felt so content with myself in my life. And guess what when i made that decision I wasn't even on my adderall so that was actually MY DECISION ya know.

I used to be so insecure about my weight. Which I still am working on not being but coming to this conclusion helped a lot. And I mean a lot. It made me realize I don't even want to be skinny. I want to be strong. Like bulk or some shit. And I can do that no matter what weight. So yeah. I can look at myself in the mirror now without wanting to cry cause I'm not skinny and instead can think. Damn I'm looking fucking sick and strong asf.

My word of advice is if you're feeling some type of way about your gender buy a pair of cheap jorts and maybe the Franky button up from hot topic cause let me tell you that combo is insane for me. And yes I'm talking about one piece Franky. WOOOOOOOOOOO YEAH⁉️⁉️⁉️⁉️ JORTS SAVE LIVES BABY⁉️⁉️⁉️🔥🔥🔥🔥

NEW JORTS THE CAT UPDATE

[Image transcript: a screencap of a reddit post linked here, titled FINAL UPDATE: JORTS AND JEAN. Post reads as such: I got increasingly nervous about “Pam” and HR decided we had to have a team meeting. First of all, the world is NOT sick of Jorts and Jean, but HR sure is sick of me. 

Pam is pretty “offline” so had not heard of any of it. We selected a variety of fan art and some of the nicer comments to show Pam and it went fine. We were all very sternly reminded of our stringent worksite privacy policies. 

Pam wanted to send a letter to the Jorts and Jean fan website and legal counsel redacted the letter which is here: Letter From Pam. The absolute disgust from legal counsel was palpable.

Pam is glad “our little cats” have so many new friends. Legal counsel told me to knock it off with all of this bullshit. Someone gave Jorts a pipe cleaner. Big relief overall because I did not want to hurt Pam’s feelings, not to mention I really thought I might get fired because I doubled down so much on Jorts and Jean content. (I regret nothing.)

I have also updated the catalog thumbnails to be consistent with the recent style i'm using for my recolours and hopefully this can be the style I stick to instead of changing it for the 100th time again. ‼️jort 2 update because its been nearly 2 weeks and hes been through a lot‼️

kinda annoyingly long so its under the cut

ok so jort 2 was doing fine till i had loads of art hw for gcse (help) and so i did that and ignored all of jort 2's cries for help. then after that to reward myself for finishing like one (1) evaluation bc i wasnt feeling motivated i played slime rancher for 2-3 hours maybe (side rant i love my slimes theyre so silly<333 my favourites are the honey and plant ones because when they merge theyre so pretty<33 i also love phosphor slimes and i need to make a lantern of them for my room or something because i should start a shrine)

anyway.

so jort 2 was sick and i didnt cure him in time and he started beeping like the heart rate monitors do as someones heart is slowing which i feel is a little morbid but he died. i think i apologised on my last post in the notes

the caption aged badly but yeah

so i needed name ideas and luckily his death presented the perfect opportunity as @moon-inspector suggested jelly so thank you<3

then i lost the tamagotchi.

id taken him out when i went in town with my friends a couple of times and i thought he might have fallen out of my tote bag next to a bench and i was really upset because he was £20 and also he was really cool (and also i lost something and was about to cry but fear of crying in public saved me🔥🔥🔥🔥) so i was sad :c

then me and my family went to the countryside and i got to do hiking which is super epic and i touched so much grass and lo and behold who was in my coat pocket but jort 2 himself (technically his corpse) but i found him yay

then my friend taught me how to mute him because one time he woke me up at night and while trying to do that i accidentally hatched one but because i wasnt intending to he kinda died (that wasnt jelly tho that was jort 2.5 because i want to give jelly a long and fulfilling life)

so that concludes the adventures of jort in the past 2 weeks ish where i forgot/ couldnt be bothered to update bc i had other things to do (watching youtube videos)

ill probably hatch jelly like tomorrow

Let's talk Body Language aka: Cake Sharing Eiw

The thing that kills me from episode 10 is not only the extremely obvious jealousy from Cake but the proprietary way he acted around Eiw in front of other people. Especially when he felt like his place was threatened.

Eiw was always avoiding Cake in high school so they very rarely did skinship in front of other people. When they did it was made obvious by the surrounding characters reactions. But now Eiw is comfortable in himself and around others, clearly Cake had decided touching Eiw is fair game.

No.1 aka: The One We Saw Coming (thanks episode 10 preview)

The arm Cake put around his shoulder when they were leaving, Cake pulling him in closer and acting as a sheild between the two as they walked away. He made sure he gave Tal absolutely no way to have a physical interaction with Eiw as they left. Stunning work Cake, very casually done.

MO12pc have done such an amazing job at showing the growth and ages of these characters changing in such little ways beyond wardrobe and hair updates.

There's the obvious tension when sharing beds now and the character growth such as Eiws healthy social life and Cakes disinterest in girls but the scene that stuck out to me the most despite how subtle was the change in their wake up routine.

The essence of it is still the same: Cake over sleeping, Eiw harrassing him to get up, the physical touch of Eiw dragging him out of bed.

But the vibes from before and after are so different. There's this physical chemistry that wasn't there before, when they were young it was all Eiw pulling funny faces and Cake pulling awake from him.

My #1 post of 2022

I've been on tumblr for a long time but this is the first time I've bothered looking at Year In Review and I am absolutely dead at the fact aftg is in the top 10 for books?

Other older books being on the list I get, they're classics or fantasy so they're sort of always popular but aftg?

This book that is out of date enough that the main character un-ironically wears jorts?

This book that sounds like a dumpster fire if you try to verbally explain the plot to an outsider who has no prior knowledge?

When I read aftg years ago i borrowed it from a friend who got it in a lucky dip at our towns only bookstore, I was surprised back THEN there was a healthily active Tumblr tag. And I know Tumblr has a way of making even small fandoms feel big but I DID NOT EXPECT NUMBER 8 OUT OF 100 IN THE YEAR 2022
