These might be the least interesting questions to ask for this S/I specifically, just because of how Splatoon lore/story works. I will answer though because I do wanna talk about Egg

✍️: Overall, how does the fandom treat you?

Egg is at most a background character, sense he doesn't do anything related to game mechanics. He'd kind of fall in the same fandom area as the in universe bands, he's spoken of an known, but not really necessary. Back dressing if you will.

I like to imagine he's existed sense Splat1 and use to just "Jelonzo's brother who is an aspiring author" evolved to "Jelfonzo's uncle, the author of the latest smash hit Inkopolis best selling novel series" which of course causes the fans upon Jel La Fleur's reveal thinking he's familially related to Jelonzo and Jelfonzo and Egg somehow... And then it turns out we're married! We love the Gay Jellyfish <3

📝: How would your story in canon go? How would you influence the events of the original story?

No influence on the main story of any of the Splatoons, I am just a background jellyfish.

Egg's story is very simple; Moved to Inkopolis with his brother when he was very young, spent most of his childhood fully mute running around with Spyke, started writing as a passion as a teen and eventually became a novelist (mostly horror), met La Fleur through the internet forum like hivemind all Jellyfish are linked to, move to the Splatlands after meeting up with La Fleur and eventually falling in love with him, gets married with La Fleur soon after Man-O-Wardrobe opens.

Doesn't effect canon much, but it's hard to effect Splatoon's story if you're not one of the agents actively involved in it, which I am not. I am just a little squishy guy.

That's a.. good question? Because I have no clue. Mainly because Jellyfish aren't like... Well loved characters, really.

Like splatbands have their entire own fandom, and obviously the main idols get a lot of attention but... Shop owners and any other side characters are kind of slept upon in this fandom.

So I really have nothing to base my concept on, because I don't see a lot of love for side characters, and I can't imagine Egg being well loved by the fandom anyway...

While most of Tamriel refers to them as "Argonians", many of them prefer the term "Saxhleel" when referring to their kind; as “Argonian” is actually an Imperial term given to them.

As to why it’s the best username… well it’s just a nice canon url from Argonian lore ^^

Hypothetically speaking when it comes to fics (because there’s around 180+ Palia fics already on AO3) you could isekai literally any human protagonist into it right?

So here’s what I think the M6 would be like in Palia, just a quick list since my general creative juices are low today. This all assumes that A) They all don’t have any memories like the player and B) They all get isekai’d in separately.

Asra: Somehow this doesn’t feel too abnormal to him. The most strange part to them is the automaton and technology that’s scattered about the place. He warms up quickly to Jina, and there’s something about Hodari and Hassain that feels comforting and familiar. Their best skills are in bug catching and foraging. Adapts fairly well.

Nadia: The most irritating thing to her is her lack of memories. She might accidentally snap at Jina, but quickly corrects herself and apologizes profusely. Jel and Caleri are lovely people and it doesn’t take her long to get on Eshe’s good side. Her best skills are in hunting and furniture making. Manages to adapt.

Julian: This really throws him off. Perhaps he suffered a concussion? Absolutely floored by what Jina tells him and is insanely intrigued by Hekla. Doesn’t take long for him to befriend Tau and he’s frequently at the inn chatting with Reth , Ashura, Zeki, and Sifuu. Avoids Eshe for some reason, he feels like he should be keeping his head low… his best skills are in fishing and bug catching. Struggles a little to adapt.

Muriel: Sure. Why not. Inwardly freaked out by a lot of things—why is he so tall? Are the people just short? Where did he come from? Why is he covered in scars? Outwardly he manages to show some semblance of calm. He speaks very little, and Jina can’t get much out of him. Auni’s personality reminds him of someone, and he finds a kindred spirit in Hassain. Doesn’t take him long to befriend Tau either. His best skills are in foraging and furniture building. He struggles to adapt to everything.

Portia: Oh wow. This is fascinating! She has so many questions but not enough time to get any answers. Jina is ecstatic to meet someone with the same curiosity she does. Very quickly gets acquainted with everyone in town, and befriends Reth, Tish, and well everybody. Absolutely adores Zeki, and is very fond of the palcats and chappas. Her best skills are in cooking and gardening. She adapts pretty well.

Lucio: Where the hell is he?! … who the hell is he? Hm. Questions Jina on everything he can, and tries to wrap his head around everything. He does know he was somebody very important! So that should count for something. Probably pisses off Kenyatta but manages to charm his way onto Eshe and Kenli’s good side. His best skills are in hunting and foraging. Adapts well.

Since this game also has some romance options, I have been pondering which villager I could give that route a shot.

I've come from Stardew Valley, where romance option is limited to one villager at the time; you can romance another after divorcing/breaking up with the previous one. The only way in SDV to romance more villagers at the same time without consequences is through (unofficial) mods. Given this single experience, initially I had a hard time trying to think at only one villager to romance in Palia.

At first I was thinking about Jel, because he kept giving me a mild "Stardew Elliott" vibes. But I've grown to know and like more of the villagers, leading me to low-key yearn to "romance" nearly all those beans. In the end I planned to settle for one romanced and one "Shepp'd".

And if I really had to make such strict choices, I was also planning to go for Reth and Hassian for either "role" (sorry Jel, bby 😭).

Then I took a look at the profile page and noticed that actually there are slots for two "romance pins".

"Oh neat! So I can romance TWO beans instead of just one," I said. "This is gonna make things a lot easier. :D" I said, now planning to reintroduce Jel into my personal (slightly expanded) roster.

Then I pondered if, at this point, two was the limit of romanceable villagers, so I took it to Google DuckDuckGo to find my answer.

And Reddit in the end delivered.

Do u know what happens if you break up with any of the romance options? I’m not cuz I feel mean, but I just wanted to know if you know if anything happens? Is it over FOREVER? Or can you just redo the romance line all over again?

As far as I am aware if you break up then it resets the romance back to 0 and nothing happens to friendship.

I think you can romance them again, but you can't get anymore items or redo the quests, and I have heard nothing about break-up lines or anything! :O

Maybe I will experiment with Kenyatta 😂 out of all the folks you can date Ori does not like her a whole lot
