#canitellyou rest in pleats. I still remember the first time I saw Issey Miyake’s clothing in Tokyo. It was my first time there back in the late 80’s. He and his contemporaries; Rei and Yohji were causing quite a stir in the fashion world. So much originality and distinctive aesthetics like nothing I had ever seen. His collection @pleatspleaseisseymiyake reached such a wide audience that spanned generations and gender. I jist came across this old illustrationi did on livestream a few years ago using Precise Vision waterproof ball point ink pen, white prismacolor pencil, toned paper, and white gouache.
