As I’ve mentioned, I did a little wedding thing for some TWST characters 👀 So for some context, the reader/you are going to go to a large family wedding that’s coming up. Which also means extended relatives! You didn’t want to go out alone, so you decided to invite your friend as a plus-one. This is mainly platonic, but reader/you and the characters are implied to have some Feelings™ for each other,, 👀 👉👈 [The mini headcanons may be a bit messy- I hope you don’t mind!!]

Vil Schoenheit (HE MAY SEEM KINDA OOC HERE I APOLOGISE IN ADVANCE,,)

-Congratulations! You’ve just gotten the biggest family flex of the century! Bragging rights forever!!

-He helps you with dressing up and styling your hair-

-You’re interrogated the second you step into the venue because holy sh*t is that the Vil Schoenheit??

-Vil will excuse both of you if he notices you’re getting overwhelmed by the barrage of questions. He’s had his fair share of social conventions and he knows his way around them

-Seeing how he’s so popular, there’s a pretty good chance that he also gets barraged with questions by the guests- And though he’s used to that sort of thing, you manage to break him away from the busy atmosphere and take him on a walk through the rose garden outside to get some fresh air

-The peaceful and quiet atmosphere is really nice, so you stay out there for a while. Unfortunately, you two do loose track of time because while you’re out there, the fireworks display began to start. Though you say you should go back and join the others, Vil convinces you to stay in the garden with him, and he pulls you down to sit with him on a bench, seeing the fireworks go off in the sky. The two of you could still see the fireworks just fine, no?

-“What a beautiful sight,” you say watching the night sky pop with colourful fireworks.

-Vil glances at you, and he saw how the colours reflected in your eyes. “Yes,” he said, “it is.”

Trey Clover

-One of the best people to have as a plus-one and meet the family to be honest

-His polite, caring charisma and dashing looks are a deadly combination

-He’s open to chatting with anyone, and he shares recipes and baking tips!

-You two get different desserts and you compare each other’s

-“This is really good, you have to try it!” And he holds out his spoon to feed you some of his dessert

-I don’t know why, but I love the image of him analysing each dessert like he’s some pâtissier Gordon Ramsay. He’s more of a Paul Hollywood though

-Kind of a bad dancer but that adds to his charm 🤌

-I can see him hanging out with the grandparents… They’d love him, let’s be honest. They’d pat you on the back and nod in approval for finding such a nice young man. You have to tell them you’re not dating

-Also asks you to take some photos of him too so he can upload them to Magicam. He’s uploading them in real time

-Just imagine the hashtags he’d make

-Pretty fun date overall! Probably hasn’t been to a wedding before so he’s pretty excited

-Social butterfly, and by the end of the wedding, he’s probably met your entire extended family kjfkjhbd

-There was a glitter bar and he was ECSTATIC,, He asks you if you want to get some glitter makeup with him and now both your faces are bedazzled with glitter

-Fun dancer! Probably in a lot of dancing candid shots

-Though, he does manage to snag a photo of you dancing wholeheartedly and having the brightest grin on your face as an upbeat love song plays, the coloured lights catching in your hair,, he’ll keep this one photo private

Azul Ashengrotto

-Wants to make a good impression on your family, so he makes you give him a PowerPoint slideshow presentation on your family members—

-Not a bad date! He gets along well with your family

-Probably manages to overhear all the juicy family gossip and is living for it

-The bride ended up tossing the bouquet way too far and Azul ended up catching it. Now all the uncles are patting him on the shoulder saying congratulations and now he’s trying to hide his embarrassment because he knows exactly what they’re insinuating

-Ngl, he’d probably advertise the Mostro Lounge,, networking king honestly

-The bride and groom wanted one last private dance and as the others were preparing for the send-off, you and Azul have a little dance of your own, listening to the music drifting out of the open windows

-It was a little bit of a surprise for you; Azul didn’t strike you as much of a dancer but he was doing pretty well (He may or may not have practiced a lot-)

-It’s honestly a pretty tender moment; you follow his lead while you lay your head against his shoulder while he gazes at you so softly

Jade Leech

-Surprisingly eager to agree?? He’s curious to see how humans on land celebrate weddings, and it’s an opportunity to spend time with you, so win-win

-There was a DIY mocktail bar and Jade had the audacity to make you a drink with the most wack combination of ingredients you’ve ever heard. Why are you smiling while offering a drink infused with watermelon and cayenne pepper. Jade? Jade—

-Your aunts are charmed with Jade, and they ask you why weren’t you dating such a polite young man?? He’s enjoying every second of your embarrassment

-Fans the flames like “Yes (Name), why aren’t we dating?”

-Pretty chill on the dance floor and mostly just sways along to the music tbh

-How did he get in all the important family photos

-He got a personal invite to the next family gathering and had the sheer audacity to invite you as his plus-one

Jamil Viper

-A bit nervous about having to leave Kalim, but you both manage to convince him it’ll be fine. It’s just for a few hours!

-He absolutely tears it up on the dance floor. It’s his dance floor and we’re all just dancing on it

-You and him are also in a lot of candid shots dancing together!

-Gets along well with your family and the other guests (And tries so hard to not be passive-aggressive to your mean relatives. Whether he succeeds or not is up for debate)

-Although, the ceremony was to take place outside, and that meant bugs. So, as the bride was saying her vows, a roach landed on Jamil’s knee, and you were the first one to notice. You could feel the sweat sliding down the back of your neck as the bug casually crawled around. By some absolute miracle, Jamil didn’t notice it yet

-“Jamil,” you whisper just as the guests applauded the newlyweds kissing.

-“Yeah?”

-“I need you to trust me and not look down.” 

-Jamil, currently living in blissful ignorance, is confused, but says “sure?” He’s suspicious now. You need to be quick.

-As the guests are walking away, you slap the bug off his knee and he screams bloody murder at the sudden sight of the bug flying in front of his face

-RIP Jamil he can’t catch a break

-Aside from that though, pretty chill time!

Kalim Al-Asim

-Very excited to go with you to the wedding!!

-Even though you insist he doesn’t have to, he gets the newlyweds so. Many. Gifts. And they’re all expensive too; it’s to the point where the bride and groom genuinely consider giving some back kjfngb- Kalim assures them it’s fine though!!

-Gets along great with the young kids there! The flower girl asked him to dance and now all the kids want to dance with him fgjnbg

-You have to pull him away from them so he can finally get some food fkgjnb

-Sucks for you because they still follow him around like an entourage. You just stand there like "🧍‍♂️"

-Another fun dancer and very social! He’s a fun date tbh

-After the wedding was finished and all the guests were sent away, you two were still hungry, so you did some Mac and cheese at home

Okay let me use my assassin Yasuke ideas vs the usual modern black characters are written

Actually it came from early access games when they did colonial thus slavery. In ac black flag your first quartermaster is a runaway slave turn pirate named Adewale who you meet when before you escape the doomed treasure fleet

Oh yeah the ship in the game is supposed to be the theorize ship that escape the storm.

Now Adewale enjoyed the pirate life, but as stated that he never had the same joy as the other golden age pirates and during the story he does stumble upon the assassins and templar because of his captain Edward did as well….well more because he stumbled upon a traitorous master assassin and accidentally gave away the West Indies brotherhood bases.

Ugh sorry adhd. But Edward and Adewale had a fallout, Edward eventually stop his foolish chase to become rich after most of his pirates friends did and properly join the brotherhood like Adewale did.

Now there are standalone dlc called freedom cry where Adewale ends up on Saint Domingo and oh boy they NO problem showing the cruelty of slavery as much they could in a 2013 game even in the database. But there was no Templars involved in the running colony. As that did not matter for freedom cry story show that the assassin brotherhood main cause is to fight for the freedom for all humans.

So yes Adwale played the seeds of the Haitian revolution. Though it was established in the psp game ac liberation that the Saint Domingo assassins were radical and François Mackandal was a extremist that took a twisted view on the brotherhood which lead to the 1751 port au prince earthquake

Sorry for the set up, earlier in the game Edward asked Adewale if there was any place he wanted to go back to. Because at the end of the day Edward was to have enough wealth to tell his father in law to piss off.

Who he later learned was a Templar who let his daughter/Edward first wife die from a fever. No wonder Eddy took care of him after going back to Britain

And the audience is also berated if they opt to not consume something because the only reason could be that they're racist.

Yeah they are, it was wolves for a while (I still love them) but foxes ran past them and now they’re amongst my faves. (along with corvids (ravens, crows, magpies, jackdaws, rooks) and birds of prey)

WHY??? do I do it this way?

I’ve been writing fanfiction for YEARS before coming on Tumblr and sharing my work. The first story I posted got loads of comments, support, reblogs, and every other kind of love. I felt very encouraged to continue sharing. The second story didn’t get nearly so much attention so I reblogged several times. Still nothing like the first. The third story got a lot of likes, a handful of comments, and a couple of reblogs, but it was even less than the second story. Fourth story got a lot of likes and a couple of reblogs and comments. Far less than any of the previous ones. With each story I got half or less engagement than the previous.

I all but lost the will to keep writing. 

Keep in mind, I had written for 15+ years before this with only one of my best friends as feedback and never, not once felt the urge to quit, but after about 6 months on Tumblr I was drained of motivation. Then I got a critical message on AO3 complaining about the rate I was releasing new work and demanding more. I realized immediately that I hadn’t lost the will to write, but I for damn sure was losing the will to share. I deleted everything I’d written on AO3 and Tumblr at that point and decided I was going to start over in a way that worked for me.

I regularly saw posts and reblogs from writers asking, pleading, demanding, and even threatening to quit writing if they didn’t start getting some engagement from the readers they knew were there. I decided there has got to be a better way, a way where I still feel motivated to write and a lack of engagement didn’t demoralize me, but where those who supported me and encouraged me would still get the stories.

So I came up with a formula for releasing content that I am comfortable with: one where those who like can send me a tip on Patreon or Ko-Fi and get regular story updates, but also one where people who can’t afford to or don’t want to pay still get content on AO3 for free by following me, reblogging my stories, and/or leaving pleasant comments. Since starting this way I feel much more motivated to write and so very appreciative of the support I am receiving.

And yeah, Beethoven had a lot of respect for Mozart and looked up to him!! He even made variations of Mozart’s works. But again,, I want to see the grumpy German men fight- 

I can just imagine Beethoven swearing out Napoleon/Mozart in German as he goes for the left hook- /hj As someone who lives in Germany, the language itself is nice enough (I could go on a whole language rant, but that might be for another day-) but,, people speak the language so aggressively?? Like a normal conversation in the German language sounds like an argument just from the tone-

Oh, but back to Mozart and Beethoven real quick- I found a short article about the two of them meeting which I found interesting- Here’s a small extract of it if you want to read it! (As your history teacher, I am giving you sources- /j)

A/N: I am so sorry that I got sappy and potentially OOC at the end…

Sunlight slowly began to filter in as your E/C eyes cracked open to see a familiar form moving in rhythm to the waves outside. You smile to yourself, joyful to be on a ship with a crew that treated each other like family, to be with a man that loved you and treated you like an equal. And yet, you often find yourself questioning why out of all of the women in the world, Edward Kenway chose you.

He was the captain of the Jackdaw, his name celebrated amongst many of the pirates who sailed around the Caribbean, even Blackbeard himself had toasted his name many times. It was also a well-known fact that Edward had lovers in the past.

A snaking arm around your waist pulled you out of your thoughts as a bearded chin tickles your cheek.

“What are you thinkin’ about, lass?” Edward’s groggy voice asks and you let yourself relax against his bare chest.

“Nothing.” You reply simply and you can feel the lie slip its way through your lips.

“I know you too well to know when you’re lying and telling the truth,” Edward scoffs and it takes a good amount of self-restraint to not show any emotion. “What’s wrong?”

You turn to face him and when you do, you almost want to scream everything that has been running through your mind. All of the doubts and worries that had been plaguing you like an illness, just out there in the open.

“Why me?” You manage as your throat begins to tighten. “Of all of the women out there, why did you choose me?”

Edward’s face remains the same as he plays with your H/C hair while you try to keep your composure.

“I am not anyone special and I am sure that the woman from the bar last night may be an even better lover than I-”

You feel rough lips on yours as Edward cuts you off while his hands roam your back freely. A breathless moan escapes your lips as he cups your face in his hands.

“Listen to me, lass. I have been with countless of other women but none of them have given me the warmth and satisfaction that you have. I love you and know that no woman could ever replace you.” He tells you and you can’t help but smile widely at his words. You bury your face into his chest as he continues to rub patterns into your back.

“I love you too Edward. Never forget that.” You tell him and you could feel him kiss the top of your head as a silent confirmation as the sun fully rose above the horizon.

Vice-Headmage Reader?? They’re the complete opposite of Crowley; they’re actually super competent at their job, very reliable, and more willing to do their work than him- I can see them being absolutely horrified at how he treats the Ramshackle Prefect (first sending them to live in the most dilapidated and dangerous building on campus, making them do his own work, etc). They try to help them as much as they can! And if they’re alerted/present during an overblot situation, they drop literally everything and rush to help-

I don’t know if Tumblr ate up my ask I sent in the other day (or if I straight up forgot to send it, which is also very possible knowing myself-), but I have a question/concept/thing I’ve been thinking about 🧍 Do you think the Octatrio put the milk in before the cereal? This has genuinely been running around in my mind for the past ten minutes and I can’t stop thinking about it- Do they have milk under the sea?? Would they have milk under the sea?? Or cereal for that matter?? If they did, would the cereal just,, float around in the water if it was poured out of the box?

Jade and Floyd definitely seem like the type to intentionally put milk in first just to mess with people though 💀

Here comes the fanfic TWST ramble, and I say this threateningly 🫵 /J

But yeah!! As I’ve mentioned before, my fic plays off one of the more popular theories in the TWST fandom. This theory is that whenever the main character ‘Yuu’, dies, they then get replaced with a new Yuu. This new Yuu then has to go through the events of the game again, starting from the beginning. This loop of events repeat until a Yuu survives all of the events, overblots and all. The Reader (who I’m going to call Loop!Reader-) is the final ‘Yuu’, and they’re the one who ends the loop.

Admittedly, I wanted Loop!Reader to be clearly different from the Yuu in the game. However, I mainly used TWST’s light novel iteration (Yes, there’s an official light novel of TWST. I was shocked too) of Yuu, Yuuya Kuroki, as a base for inspiration. While Yuuya is almost painfully introverted and gives off the vibes of a soaking wet cat (sorry Yuuya- He really needs a hug-), Loop!Reader is very energetic, extroverted, flamboyant, and vibrant. She’s popular in school and has a large friend group. Her exuberance and liveliness may seem a bit overwhelming at times, but she really is a nice person! Whenever she’s in a conversation or outing, she makes sure no one feels left out and tries to involve everyone. And instead of coming from Japan like Yuu and their other iterations, Loop!Reader comes from America and is of Spanish descent.

Let me give a quick synopsis:

The story itself starts off with Loop!Reader mulling over the fact that it’s been almost a year since her best friend Rosalie’s disappearance. But she can’t dwell on it for long because she has to go play in a baseball tournament, and her team has to go against another team that they have some animosity with. Both her and her baseball team go all out, and they win, though just barely! While Loop!Reader is waiting for the rest of her team, she hears a cry, turns around just in time to see horses pulling a black carriage charging at her, and everything goes black. When she wakes up, she’s thrust into the world of Twisted Wonderland with seemingly no way home. As time goes on however, she starts getting odd dreams about her missing best friend…

Ngl, the fish facts you gave reminded me of the nicknames Floyd gives to others! In case of Loop!Reader, I’ll be honest, I’m having a bit of trouble coming up with one- So far, I was thinking he could call her either Swordfish or Sailfish, mainly because Loop!Reader is an incredibly fast runner. But neither of those sound as cute or catchy as Shrimpy in my opinion, so I’m a little bit stuck,, 

Oh, but speaking of nicknames!! One time I jokingly made Loop!Reader call Azul, ‘Azulito’ in some practice dialogue where she was teasing him, and I thought I would never use that nickname again. I was wrong. Loop!Reader calls Malleus, ‘Cuernitos,’ which means ‘little horns’ in Spanish-

I’m pretty excited to write for Loop!Reader!! Her expressive personality paired up with the wide cast of TWST is definitely going to be interesting >:] *cough* The newfound Azul lover genes in me are vibrating and are already trying to think of scenarios with him and Loop!Reader 🧍‍♂️ 

And for the fun of it, I made a quick list of ship dynamics with Loop!Reader and some of the TWST characters-:

“So someone showed up today, and they were pretty, uh...” (Name) trailed off, but the way she smiled and tucked her hair behind her ear gave Grim the message. 

He stuck out his tongue in disgust. “Henchman, get it together!”

(Some context: This is the aftermath of Loop!Reader bumping into Malleus for the first time-)

“Grim,” (Name) hissed, gently trying to shake the grey creature awake. “Grim, get up!”

“No, my tuna-- Bwah? Huh?” Grim blinked groggily. “Henchman? What’s happening?”

“Grim, you will not believe what just happened.” (Name) kept her voice low, but her eyes were wide with anticipation.

“What?” Grim said, still groggy from sleep. He rubbed his eyes.

“I just met the most beautiful man in the world two minutes ago. Like, for real.”

Grim stared at her with tired eyes, clearly unimpressed. “You woke me up for this? I was dreaming about mountains of tuna… And anyway, didn’t you say the same thing about those other two guys?”

“Okay, the other OTHER most beautiful man,” (Name) cut herself with a sharp shake of her head. “But that’s beside the point! I just went out for a quick walk outside and I bump into the most gorgeous man I’ve EVER seen. Great hair, amazing eyes, handsome face. I didn’t catch his name though, he didn’t want to tell me.”

“Huh,” Grim looked at her with squinted eyes. “What was he doing all the way out here?”

(Name) shrugged. “Something about abandoned ruins? I think he was taking a look around here.” The girl’s eyes widened when a thought struck her. “So he’s gorgeous…” She whispered conspiratorially, a small smile dusting her lips. “And kind of a nerd. One of the best combinations.”

“Uh-huh, sure…” Grim nestled back onto his spot on the bed, trying to go back to sleep. “You owe me some extra tuna for waking me up, henchman.”

“Hey!”
