Hey! None of the jstage links are broken, but is zukabeth at dreamful also yours? They were working yesterday, but today the song translation pages are down. Thanks for all your hard work!!
I haven’t put zukabeth back up yet! It should be back in a day or two. :)
[WARNING/UPDATE] some general advice!! (making it even more official...)
this is for those of you who are still not convinced that posting screencaps, short clips, gifs etc of jstages and reposting pictures of actors on twitter is a REALLY BAD IDEA!!!
it was announced yesterday that a Japanese fan had unfortunately taken pictures at the venue of 舞台『Requiem』(which was prohibited!!) and posted those on SNS. the higher ups found out about it and they started their research... they found out that the girl was a fan of Kitagawa Naoya and contacted his agency which posted a statement yesterday.
they made it really clear that if things like this happen again there will be consequences for the culprit (e.g. banning from the official fanclub...) and asked everyone to delete anything that does not conform to the rules.
BUT what made me even more worried is another point mentioned in the statement...
>>if things like this keep happening Kitagawa Naoya might loose stage offers in the future<<
up till now I only talked about the actors agencies and totally forgot about producers, directors and co. → if they are under the impression that the fans of a certain actor aren’t able to follow the rules, they won’t cast this particular actor!!!
so please be aware that your actions might affect your oshis ACTUAL JOB!!!
if you don’t want your oshi to loose possible job offers, please stop posting illegal content right under the noses (twitter...) of these higher ups!!
for those who want to read the full 'warning’ please check out my previous post >>here<<

in some countries or for some theater companies like the TAKARAZUKA REVUE, 入り出 (iride ~ iri- & demachi) is a common practice, but in the 2.5jigen world, it’s strictly prohibited and considered rude if you do it. any kind of ambushing or chasing after the actors (待ち伏せ & 追いかけ) is prohibited as well!! the same goes for following them to the train station, their home or their hotel. if you happen to be at the same station or staying at the same hotel try to refrain from talking to them. even if you think it’s your ‘once in a lifetime chance’ it’s not the right thing to do!! unless THEY approach you it’s considered harassment or even stalking!!! (there are even cases where people got arrested recently because they followed their oshi everywhere)
and don’t misinterpret their action if you talk to them regardless of the ‘rules’. of course, they will be polite to you (because that’s what they are told to do by their agencies) but it doesn’t change the fact that they are not really comfortable with the situation. they know exactly that you are approaching them because of their status… always keep in mind how you would feel if a total stranger, who knows a lot about you, would all of a sudden talk to you!

because 2.5jigen stageplays/musicals are generally based on manga, animation and video games some people mix in the terms ‘cosplay’ (’anime costume’) & ‘cosplayer’.
please be careful: never call an actor a cosplayer because these are two different things!!! they are wearing professional ‘costumes’ on stage which look exactly like the clothes of the original work. just because the original work is Japanese doesn’t automatically mean it’s a cosplay!
you wouldn’t call any marvel actor a cosplayer, right? so please don’t call any 2.5jigen actor one.
Please also refrain from wearing your own cosplay at any time.
Please understand that it’s not an cosplay event for you to shine! Wear a nice outfit (matching the colour of your favourite characters is totally fine) and maybe get your hair done but don’t try to portrait a character and disrupt the whole production.
[***]
1) please refrain from giving the actors sweets/snacks (food & drinks in general) as a gift because most of the time they aren’t allowed to keep it!
2) depending on the venue, presents like flower stands (スタンド花) or flower arrangements (アレンジメントフラワー) are prohibited so make sure you always check the Q&A on the homepage!!
♡Also pls follow my patalliro+2.5d stage acc on twitter, it deserves more luv♡
I’ll definitely have a lot of good content on their soon as I’m moving to japan in august and will have easier access to that stuff, and will definitely be attending stages~~
thats sad oof i actually love the female cast of hetalia and they deserved better. as for musicals selling w full female cast, look up to revue starlight;) thanks for answering!
The thing about the females are if anyone were to even be in the cast the only one would be Hungary, but like I said popularity plays as a main factor and you are the first gripe about females I have heard. The characters I hear get griped about the most are Romano and Canada. Just from this alone in both in the east and west the females are not as popular as the males and I am sadly guilty of being a statistic of this too since my fave being America. Also in the third musical instead of having female ensemble to play the roles of Marie Antoinette andMarie Thérèse they dressed the actors of America and Germany in drag. That is done a lot in butai and that has a lot more to do with history of theatre where all roles were played by men and no one bats an eye. I get what you mean since I was never a fan of Male idols/butai (I was a bit into Takarazuka Revue style musicals from female idols too) fan until Hetamyu. But sadly Hetalia’s Audience consist of Japanese females like I mentioned before. statistic wise the best selling characters are the members of the main cast. Revue Starlight is kind of in its own bubble considering their focus wasn’t on their musical but on the CD sales. It’s a machine too but a different machine. The idol machine. Their purpose is to bring attention to wotas so they can sell CDs. Now this is a generalization since a lot of these girls do go into acting but for the most part its for the idoling purpose. Look at Pharaoh no Haka for example too.
Revue Starlight doesn’t exactly count as a 2.5d production since it uses the same sort of stage multimedia like the Love!Live productions their company ‘Bushiroad’ isn’t related to ‘Frontier Works’ Like majority of 2.5d productions are under that specific company.
When you see most female actresses they are usually already an idol or going into that world and the musical is a push to show their other capability to raise popularity. From what I read Starlight Ravue is a ‘break out’ performance that Uses new methods of stage and theatre. a new concept that came out in March so we will see how that sort of style of stage play does in the future.
sorry for my sudden absence these past days... but I’m in the middle of my oshis ‘main’ stage (spent the last 4 days at the theater) and it’s still far from being over (byebye free time!!!)
anyway... before I disappear again: I'm gonna s*p*a*m your timeline with the latested news😋
◎ アドリブ (adoribu): ad-lib (lat.: Ad libitum)
→ an actor speaks through their character using words not found in the script (improvisation/spontaneous creation)
◎ 挨拶 あいさつ (aisatsu): greetings; speech
→ giving a speech at the end of a performance
