hello hello!! so this took a while!!

some notes before we begin: this does move things around on the mcu timeline a bit (mostly just forcing civil war to be post-dd s3) so apologies on that front, but i don’t think it should matter all that much. i both quote and reference a few supreme court cases throughout this fic, so i wrote short summaries of the cases i use in the end notes. i also linked most of the cases’ majority opinions if you would like to read through them yourself, as the summaries i give won’t really encapsulate the full scope of those decisions.

second, none of the things i wrote abt nyu are based on anything from the irl school—that is purely fictional on my end, and i don’t have any specific ill will towards the university.
