omg so idk if this is a weird request or not but I was watching a tv show and thought this idea would be cool for sapnap😭😭

brothers best friend sapnap (or bbf!sapnap) where him and the reader have to hide their relationship from dream and george (dream or george ,depending on what you prefer to write, being the readers brother)

its not a weird request! ive never thought about this type of scenario with them so this is actually really fun for me to write and come up with plot 😭

i wrote for both brother dream and brother george. and i wrote specifically twin!dream and older brother!george (separately). to make the age gaps less scary😭 and for plot.... nonstreamer fem! reader. and i ended up making this a little too long and angsty so im sorry 😭😭😭

bbf!sap who youve known and been friends with since day one because of twin!dream.

twin!dream who you tell everything and noticed when you started crushing on his closest friend.

"do you like nick?" he would ask you one day when youre eating together silently.

you pause mid bite and look up at him, your heart having skipped a beat. you look back down and finish chewing as you come up with something to say.

"why are you asking me that?" you ask back with an awkward laugh.

"fuck- you do dont you?" he would sigh in annoyance.

"and what if i do?" you ask defensively. "its not like hes gonna like me back. nothings gonna happen."

he looks at you, his eyes looking over your face. the face he had been familiar with his whole life. the face that he had grown with and trusted more than himself.

"whatever..."

bbf!sapnap tried to hide his crush on you from both you and dream but failed miserably with the latter.

"do you like yn?" clays voice sounded through nicks headphones. he furrowed his eyebrows as if to fake confusion although they couldnt see eachother.

"what are you talking about?" he asked, confusion completely lacing his voice.

"do you have a crush on my sister?" clay said more pointedly this time.

"what, no?" nick responded defensively. "why would i like her?"

"i dont know. you just seem... different around her," clay explained, the clicks of his mouse being heard after his voice.

bbf!sapnap who found it harder to hide and fight his feelings for you once he moved in with you two.

in turn, he started leaving the room when you would walk in. he would barely look at you when the three of you were in the room. and you felt your heart hurt more and more slowly as the weeks went on this way.

bbf!sapnap who had to tell you how he felt about you after you mentioned someone asking you out.

"did you say yes?" he asked a little too quickly for his own liking.

"i mean, yea, why not?" you shrug, moving through the kitchen.

"is he...a good guy?" clay asked you from next to nick on the couch. from your angle, it looked almost comical the way they were both turned to look at you. confused expressions heavy on both of their faces.

"i dont know clay," you say with a scoff. "i just met him today."

clay got up and walked over to you, "okay, well... dont die?" he said unsure. you rolled your eyes up at him and crossed your arms. he nudged your shoulder as he went to the fridge and grabbed a water bottle.

"thank you, really. great advice, clay," you say sarcastically as he rounds the kitchen island to the stairs.

"anytime! night!" he calls out as he walks up the stairs. leaving you and nick alone.

you sighed, waiting for him to get up and follow his friend up the stairs. you didnt expect him to stay where he was, watching you from the couch.

"what...?" you ask, looking behind you as if it wasnt you he was looking at.

"so you're going on a date?" he says mainly to himself. "when?"

you let out a deep exhale as you think for a moment, "im not sure yet. he's yet to tell me. told me he would text me when he had a gap in his schedule," you said, trying your best to not make the conversation more awkward than it already was.

"hmm," nick hummed as if in deep thought. he looked down at the white tiled floors. you pursed your lips and glanced at the stairs.

"well, i think im gonna call it a night..." you trail off, hesitantly heading towards the stairs, waiting for him to make some comment or attempt to keep the conversation going.

when he didnt, you continued on your way, beginning you mental spiral on why he was acting this way with you.

"wait, yn," he called out just as you were about to place your foot down on the first step. you looked over at him, confused. "i need to tell you something."

his heart was pounding in his chest, unsure of how to proceed. you felt like you were going to be standing there the whole night with the way he wasn't speaking. and that idea alone made your stomach twist and flutter.

"what is it?" you ask with an awkward laugh.

he took a deep breath, running his hand over his face. the longer you stood there, the more anticipation filled you. the awkward smile on your face falling and slowly replaced with something more serious.

"nick?"

"i like you."

bbf!sapnap who tries to not make it obvious how suddenly he's not ignoring you or avoiding you anymore.

but he cant now that your two are dating. its too hard to not smile at you when you walk into the room or want to sit right next to you when the three of you were sitting around.

bbf!sapnap who sneaks you a few kisses when dream isnt in the room.

"nick!" you whisper shout as you pull away from his kiss. "he literally just walked out of the room, relax"

"but i wanted a kiss," he pouted, leaning in for another. you squirmed and pushed him, looking at him like he was crazy.

brother!dream who knows you two are dating but just waits to see how long you guys can keep this all up. he finds it amusing and annoying but he would rather wait for you guys to tell him on your own time.

when you do tell him, he doesnt even bother to act suprised. he just shrugs and laughs at you with a "you guys are idiots."

brother!dream who later has to sit down and talk to sapnap about dating you.

"dont do extra shit around me. like weird and kissy," clay says with a disgusted face almost as if the idea alone was repulsive. "and please dont have sex while im home."

"what-" nick cuts himself off with an embarrassed laugh.

"im serious. if you do, i dont want to hear that shit."

brother!george

bbf!sapnap who knew of you and spoke to you a few times. the first time he spoke to you in person was when he came to visit george. He had seen you in pictures and an occasional off chance FaceTime call where you're in the background and waved across the room.

when he sees you for the first time, in person, it throws him off guard how different you look. in the few pictures he had seen of you, he hadn't realized they were from years past. you had obviously gotten older and he realized you were his age. not sixteen.

bbf!sapnap who can't stop staring at you when you're having lunch with him and george. everytime you laugh or make a joke, he feels like his heart does a little happy dance.

bbf!sapnap who asks for you number on a night you two are getting to know eachother more.

"hey, whats your number?" he asked, trying to seem nonchalant. you smiled at him suspiciously.

"why?" you asked in response trying not to sound as smug as you felt.

"for...emergency reasons," he said, realizing how much it sounded like bullshit. even to himself.

"right..."

bbf!sapnap who cant help but talk about how he finds you attractive on stream with george.

"yea guys, i met yn too," he says, glancing at george. "you never told me how hot your sister was, george."

george looks at nick with a disgusted face, "what are you talking about?"

nick shrugged and read a chat, changing the subject as george looked at the camera with a grossed out face.

bbf!sapnap who starts talking to you when he gets back to florida without george knowing. the only clues he gives are talking about how he finds you attractive.

when you two start dating, you start to feel bad for lying to olderbrother!george about it. so you ask him hypotheticals and drop small hints here and there.

"would it be weird if i thought sapnap was cute..." you ask him nervously. george looks up from his phone and furrowed his eyebrows.

"...do you...?" he asks slowly, eyeing you weirdly.

you shrug, trying to be nonchalant despite the type of question, "He's not terrible looking... i guess."

he rolls his eyes, "just dont start dating. then it would be weird."

you stare blankly at your phone, as you chuckle humourlessly at the irony.

bbf!sapnap who has to ask dream about what to tell george.

"wait, nick, you guys are dating?" clay asks incredulously. "and this was after george talked in detail about how much he hated the idea of you two together?"

"before, actually," he said, crossing his arms.

"that doesnt make a difference, actually," clay says with a scoff. then he rubs his hand over his face and sighs. "just tell him. worst that can happen is he gets mad and gets over it eventually."

"well, i dont want him to get mad at us," nick said, stress laced in his voice.

"well, you'll have to tell him at some point."

after a week or two, you decided to tell olderbrother!george yourself.

"hey, george, i have something to tell you," you say, trying masking your fear.

"mhm," he hums simply, looking down at his phone. you close your eyes for a second as you took a deep breath. george looks up at you waiting for to speak. "what is it?"

"nick and i are dating..." he looked at you blankly, looking over your face.

"what?" he asks, hoping he just heard you wrong.

"we're dating..." you say. waiting for him to freak out on you.

"okay?" he says dumbly. you laugh awkwardly, confusion clear on your face. "i was kind of expecting it."

yea georges was kinda garbage. specifically the ending. but i kinda wanted to post this. and i guess it wasnt really them hiding it, but more so just them hiding their attraction? so my bad.

i think i just need to actually doing what the asks ask me 😭😭 i hope you enjoyed anyway... -nony

I generally don't really like Dick as a character - I find him really irritating when I see him in comics/fic that's being written in the present. (however my favourite titan is Garth and he always gets screwed over by writers and editorial where Dick doesn't - not in the same way I know Dick gets mischaracterised, Dick has an ongoing and he's the focal character in lot's of titans books whereas Garth is like... forgotten and doesn't get that many appearances and when he does he's barely there). I hate himbo dick with a passion especially.

BUT you're analyses of him kind of pick up on something I would find interesting??? I don't think I'll ever gravitate towards him but you've convinced me to look for some better appearances of his (that aren't written by tom taylor eugh)

omg a fellow garth fan — it’s like finding a unicorn on the highway in jacksonville florida. i totally get not being a dick fan (haha). unfortunately because he’s had a string of bad writers, he can pull down his ensemble cast with him to make everything worse by association (the titans, BABS, etc), but he’s still a really interesting character! so im glad what ive been talking about has struck a cord.

honestly those issues with his characterisation was the reason i started writing persephone AND is a big reason why there’s so much emphasis on the titans and their relationships. i miss them! take me back to 1999.

i answered an ask about my fave dick writers if ur interested in reading more about him, but it’s definitely a non-exhaustive list. he’s at his best when he’s with people that call him out for being a freak ❤️

omg. this is the one im currently rotating in my brain. im SO VERY obsessed with it.

(im going to ramble so badly here lol pls dont feel you have to read it all but im VERY excited by this au)

ok so. ive been rereading the winter soldier comics. starting from the first reveal of him in captain america onwards. i feel like everyone knows about the 'who the hell is bucky scene' which is a real heartstopper but omg. there are so many moments that didnt make it in to the films. theres just so much feeling there and i see a huge paralell between a lot of stuff bucky goes through and the clones origin.

i'd seen winter soldier au's with various clones before, but there was always something missing for me. on my reread of the comics i realised what it was. the being out of time. finding yourself in the future unexpectedly. having to adapt. getting used to being alone. and then realising you arent. realising that someone you failed to save is here. is still maybe capable of being saved. is such a huge part for me. thats the driver of so much emotion.

and i realised that there IS a part of star wars that makes me feel kinda similar. Kix's story. Kix finds himself waking up in a galaxy that has moved on. theres no room for him anymore. he was once a part of something, but now he isnt. he's never been alone before, but now he is, without question. he is the last of his kind. and after he finds out what happened, his identity as a medic is really threatened. his job was to heal his brothers, to save them. but when it mattered, he couldnt.

so then i started thinking. what would it be like for kix, facing this reckoning, having faced it for a while. finding himself a place in this new world, beginning to fight the first order. beginning to move on from something thats really quite impossible to ever truly move on from. what would it be like for him to face what steve rogers does in those comics?

for anyone that doesnt know, steve and buckys stories in the comics are slightly different. they are brought together because captain america needs a sidekick. they dont know each other before. and bucky is pretty much a kid at the time. he's 16. steve becomes like his older brother as they fight in ww2 with a superhero group called the invaders (pretty much like the avengers) against nazi superheroes and the like, unitil, just at the end of the war, they get captured. steve watches bucky being tortured, he cant stop it, and then when they escape, bucky sacrifices himself. the last thing steve sees before he gets frozen is bucky, just out of steves reach, unable to be saved after sacrificing himself for their cause. steve is awake in the ice in the comics. he has all those years to dwell on it, and when he gets out, the world has moved on and its far far too late to save anyone he knew.

buckys backstory has some real similarities with the clones. he grows up on a military camp, his dad dies when he's like 12 and he ends up staying as a kind of camp mascot. he grows up in the army. violence is every day for him. its all he knows. and when he gets recruited as captain americas sidekick. its all about the image. he is a propaganda tool. there to look like a kid so that other kids want to join up, but trained to be a killer. he is there to do the dirty work that captain america cant be seen doing. he's an assasin from the start. deadly efficient.

buckys return in the comics is delicious. it comes out of nowhere, to the reader and to steve rogers. he has been living in this new world and has accepted that noone will ever really understand him. anyone that survived ww2 looks at it with rose tinted glasses, but in a lot of ways to steve, he's still there. and then comes the winter soldier, a cold war relic, woken up to meet someone elses aims. in a lot of ways, it echos how steve has been working for america, putting out fire after fire, since he got out of the ice. the people around steve put the pieces together before he does and when they try and break it to him, he refuses to hear it. he wont look at their evidence. he simply cant. to know that not only could he not save this younger brother figure, but that while he was frozen, powerless, bucky was taken by the enemy and used in the worst kind of way. made to do things he never would have done (a big part of this is that bucky never would have worked against america. his patriotism was a huge part of his character thanks to his upbringing, which his handlers knew and found pretty funny. they used him to fight america because it was ironic). like omg. the paralells there! with the clones being raised to serve the republic, being raised to know nothing but loyalty because alll they knew was the military. and then having chips in their heads force them to do the last thing they ever would have done? again and again?

steve refuses to believe that its bucky. but we begin to see that he knows. he's just in denial. he fights the winter soldier and we have the 'who the hell is bucky moment' and then, his denial is shattered in the worst possible way. a dossier is delivered to him holding records from the winter soliders handlers from the start. he has to see the cold and impersonal documentation of the ppl that ripped his brother, his best friend, from death (from peace) so that he could be used against his country. he'd forgotten everything about who he was, all he had was the muscle memory of this fight. he could still fight. he was still a killer. these files document a kind of sick amusement from his handlers at his situation. his drs talk about him like he's an object for testing. (there are so many paralels here with the kamineese, palpatine, jango and how they treat the clones). worse than this. the files show that even without his memory, bucky fought them. during a mission in america he dropped off the radar, confused and lost, but trying to find something of himself. at this point they start wiping his memory after each mission and keeping him in stasis. he is no more than a tool. the whole thing is heart wretching. i know the movie version touched a lot of ppls hearts but. oh my god. it doesnt even touch the surface.

that feeling. those vibes. are the backbone of this au.

kix is beginning to move on. and then, the first order pull out the winter soldier. kix fights him and he's caught. because this stranger, decades after the last clone died, fights just like a clone. and against his will kix is just. pulled in. it feels like one last link to his brothers. he needs to know who trained this assasin. he needs to know more. this guy is like a ghost. the more he finds out the further he feels from any answers. what he finds. well none of it fits together. this guy has been doing this for decades. is he the first winter soldier? was he the one trained by a clone or was that his predecessor? his predecessors predecessor. kixs new war continues, as he investigates. this is simply a side quest. research to resolve his own curiosity.

and then, kix is fighting yet another battle. and in comes this guy. and as they fight, it gets to the point where its just kix and this assasin and the guys mask falls off. and he's a clone. and its an impossibility. its not something kix ever let himself imagine. how can there possibly be a clone here? how can he possibly be so young. he's hardly physically older than kix, in statis all these years, and the guy runs and kix is left. just. shellshocked. he goes back to his research. it doesnt make any sense.

time passes and kix realises who this winter soldier is. he knows him. not only that. he knows exactlly how they are controlling him. its the chips. the chips that kix was unable to save his brothers from. he woke up here and he thought it was too late for anything. his brothers long dead. him, unable to save any of them. he's a medic but he was not enough. yet. here is a chance. a chance at redemption. a brother, just one, that still needs saving. that kix has a chance of saving. and if he does. its someone that will understand. someone who knows what it is to be a clone. someone who knows what it is to wake up in a new galaxy, after years of stasis against your own will. its a chance.

the story deals with kix trying to face this. the whole thing is just like. emotional turmoil. he's given himself a impossible task. he's trying to save someone that does not want saving and very much wants to kill kix. in doing so he's having to face all this trauma and shit he had just accepted living with. and even worse. he gets to see a chipped clone in action. the lack of self preservation, the lack of control. kix gets to see what it would have been like for every one of their brothers. and he has to face that. its a journey thats kinda agonising. lots to face up to. lots to be dealt with. bad situation all round.

im so sorry for how long ive rambled but. oh my god im so utterly obsessed with this. its taken root in side me. the idea. the thought of them. gives me a feeling in my chest thats just. beyond words.

OMGS okay this THE ocs/persona ever OKAY

Its been so long since ive started drawing this FREAK ASS storyline and on like a random tuesday it dropped back into my lap AND im always thinking abt it ALWAYS thinking abt lore im a nerd)) BUT IM DRAWING THEM AGAIN YIPPIEEEEEEE

its so insanely cringe talking about these 3 guys lore cuz they are like,,, the same guy,,,, which happens to be ME LMAO

ANd then im reminded that this entire story is like Life and Death and Heaven and infinite realities and found family and open ended ending because there is nothing that deems these guys will ever find peace,, which all comes from this dream i had in 2019 LOL

Im very slowly putting out the story on my toyhouse and its very fun but id much prefer lik talking about it or just jumbling it all out irl and just ranting out the storyline through words (BUT ITS SO EMBARRISINGBHIDRGFY) and yet at the same time i crave to just have it ALL ORGANIZEDDDDD and out of my brain!!!! rAHHH

man i draw these guys a LOT though the story is not just like about these three, i reallly like getting into all the backgrounds and hinting at like lore and stuff (MORE LIKE TRAUMA LOL) Like what makes these characters work and such,

Whenever i do think of like the rest of the story and how id actually express the stpryline, and the whole plot of The After Nothing its more or less from outsiders (the other ocs) finding out about everything, "who is this guy and how did he get to the After?" "How are you alive but souless??" "Ew oh my god is the DRAGON YOUR SOUL???" "What do you MEAN youve died and every peice of soul is going to you because youve LOST YOUR OWN REALITY????" "YOURE BEING CHASED??????" and all of that info being forced out of some guy who just does not know how to comprehend being a person (because he isnt exactly one)

i have a few comics in mind!!! (shitty sketchbook example above) so as soon as i reintroduce like the main characters to my insta (through the wip in this post) Ill definetely get a move on to some silly interactions, before they meet the whole main plot and other characters!!!!!

so yippieee!!!! major coping being done through my creative process and my enjoyement of alternate realities, vessels, Life and Death, Heaven and Hell, and exploring what exactly makes a person act the way they do!!!!!!!!!!!

SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello sun anon!!!! :D omg you got the blackberries, IM SO HAPPY YOU LIKE THEM!!!!!! :DDDD and blackberry jam is fr one of the BEST things imo, you can use it on sandwiches, or donuts which is SUCH a good idea omg????? It makes for amazing filling. I tend to eat it on crackers with a nutty-flavoured cheese, so thats an option too!!! Its also very delicious in desserts-- people up here make blackberry cheesecake ALL the time its like a staple recipe SKDNWKDNWDNSN so you could do smth like that!!!!! Or petits fours (and this is the part where i display my rabid love for french food akdhakfhekdjwjdj) which are DELICIOUS. Either way the possibilities are endless >:]

My partner is currently visiting home so its just me and our roommates, and we just came out the other side of an ice storm that knocked our internet out for a full 24 hrs 😭😭😭😭😭 (we kept power, although it did flicker a bit). luckily tho ive got unlimited data on my phone and im extremely mobile-pilled, so this changed basically.... nothing for me PFFFTTTTT

Ive been very excitedly running the HOTGUY COMICS Zine, which has been an absolute treat, and now im also working on a fun group project with some other chronic zine mods that i cant wait to get started on!!!! And then ofc, the hunger au pre-canon oneshot-- im halfway finished with edits, and its already at 2k fjsnfjdnfjdn. Since im still working on the next chapter proper, i wanted to give yall something to chew on in the meantime!!! (And also ive been wanting to write hunger au oneshots since i first started taking the project more seriously, so this is just one fic in a series of snapshots i cant wait to make!!!!)

Im hoping to work more on that today :] cant make any promises, but i was REALLY happy with how everything turned out last night, so i wanna keep that momentum going if i can

*perks up* found this trend a while ago and I loved seeing mlp infection aus...idk why but I think mlp horrors are the best horrors! Like human horrors make me feel uncomfortable but replace the humans with colorful ponies and I wanna see it! Imma try and answer all the questions amigo, however I'm writing this in 2 in the morning with a sh*t ton of adrenaline from the fact that you asked (I'm gonna have a heart attack oh lord) so do forgive me if I missed one-

Oh ehem-

Stages

So the sickness which I took for this au is Rabies! Which I think a lot if you might know what it is. Ofcourse, this is a more messed up type of rabbies. There's only 3 stages since the person transforms quickly(in a 1 day). 1st stage: after the pony gets bit by a subject with rabbies they start feeling weak, tired and nauseous. They also all of a sudden get scared of water 2nd stage: the ponies body starts to hurt, usually specific body parts feel the most pain (for example with fluttershy its her front hooves), which then start to get longer, stretching. 3rd stage the ponies body becomes disfigured, they become extremely aggressive and blood-thirsty, foam will start pouring out of their mouth and completely forget who they were before.

How did it begin?

Some chemist pony probably tried to find a cure for different types of sickness in the mlp world but instead made a potion for the missed up rabbies. He tested on some animals and one of them escaped. The animal got to fluttershy(because she's always with animals so she shall be the first victim) and bit her. The infection would continue on with twilight who wanted to go check up on her but instead got attacked.

I'm not a writer so hard pass on the story. Comic would LOVE to do that, however I'm not used to drawing ponies like, at all, So it takes me a really long time to get the look right(especially with all the different angles of the head, yikes). Now, the video? Hell f*cking yeah. I planned on making a video 100% doing it like people do on tiktok (or in my case youtube because I am not going to that wretched place, no offense to anyone who goes there) but never made it since I got sidetracked with other stuff lmao. So currently I will stick to just solely making art, but I will make a video about it no doubt. Complete story? Probably not.

I haven't watched a second of SPN since the finale aired. The finale retroactively destroyed the entire show for me. I literally threw out all my SPN merch the next day. Donated it all to a thrift store. I was so embarrassed. I unfollowed everyone (except Misha Collins) associated with the show the moment the last episode finished. I just didn't want anything more to do with it. I still find it hard to believe they really made that episode and allowed it to be broadcast. Blows my mind to think people were paid actual money to write and produce that. They frickin risked their lives (!!!) to make it. Imagine if they'd all gotten COVID and died in Vancouver, unable to see their families one last time, alone in COVID isolation wards, unable to hold funerals (if their bodies would've even been allowed back into the country).. and for what? The shittiest episode of television ever made. Oof.

I remember my friend (who knew I was dreading the finale) asked me the next day "so, how was it?" and I just replied "IT WAS SO MUCH WORSE THAN I EVEN IMAGINED."

Like, I was *expecting* it to be bad. I was *prepared* to be disappointed. But I was NOT ready for it to be SO bad that I would immediately retroactively disown the entire show and everyone associated with it out of sheer existential embarrassment.

Reading this is so sad because its so close to my experience. I didnt have a lot of merch, but the merch i did have was either thrown out or shoved in the back of my wardrobe never to see the light of day again!

That finale really did a number on us didnt it? Over 3 years later and it still hurts my heart when I think about it too much.

It really was the worst thing ive ever seen. Ive seen some pretty bad TV but omg nothing will ever top that. Its maddening that anyone could sign off on that absolute garbage as if it was worth anything more than being cast into holy fire and condemmed to the 7th circle of hell.

Its funny, I'm so weary and apprehensive about starting new media since then. Its impossible to trust storytellers especially anything made by those involved with spn. I have kept my heart so guarded since then and refuse to fall into fandoms that dont already have a known ending. The only reason i allowed myself to get super into Sandman is because the story is complete, and we all know Good Omens will get a happy ending. Anything else for me is either one off mini series, or shows that have already aired in full.

I want to love Dead Boy Detectives when it comes out. I dont know how that story will end though I suppose there are comics already for it that I can look into. Also Steve Yockey was one of the few gems of SPN and I'm happy that his ghost has partnered with Neil Gaiman to make something that looks really decent. Steve Yockeys SPN episodes were always meta masterpieces of metaphor and symbolism and so I hope it'll build a meaty fandom to get excited about.

Then again the apprehension and fear remains, because SPN finale trauma prob wont ever go away. You cant invest years of your life devoted to those characters only to have them destroyed to dust before your eyes and come out unscathed.

I hope over time the feelings we hold about it get easier to deal with, especially as we move on to new stories, new fandoms, and new characters to love. But SPN the show is very much dead to me, and this time it wont resurrect.

ive been drawing forever honestly. i've always been really into it. im fifteen so thatd be like 12 years. and obviously i wasnt always studying it super seriously or anything. idk. my art isnt perfect by any means. i just dont really post the shitty pieces lmao. i struggle with sm stuff and will be continuing to study probably till the day i cant hold a pencil anymore lol. (i draw too much, my hand hurts ;w;) its a never ending process and honestly thats why i love it sm.

as for anatomy i think the main thing to keep in mind is that anatomy and just drawing people in general is really hard. i heard this in this old video about how pixar used to do 3d animation is that the reason they didnt do animations of humans for so long is because we ourselves have very specefic ideas of what a human looks like. i think this also applies to art. which is a really long way of saying, trust the process.

i use photos personally! you can find a lot on pinterest but there are a couple things id keep in mind when it comes to photos people edit their bodies sometimes so their proportions so be careful, it will defeat the purpose of the study if the bodies inaccurate.

idk here are some that might be good for starting off. dancers and people like that are super helpful. remember to not to focus too much on the lines but more copying down the shapes,

for hands i would just look at your own hands and try to capture them quickly. i say quickly mainly bc i shake a lot lmao, maybe youre different. or you could just be smart and take a picture of your hand but im very lazy and dont like getting up to grab my phone.

for art style id just save stuff that inspire you. could be animations, comics, album covers, cool photos, just stuff that gives you like vibes. literally ANYTHING.

like, omg this is making me think of a cool idea rn!! save it! even if you cant execute it now you can always execute it in the future when your skills are more developed :)

style studies are also helpful! try copying art you like, seeing different peoples techniques however some things to keep in mind with this are

you might accidently copy down an artists mistakes or bad habits without realizing it so try to have some variety in your artists

dont post the art. some people are okay with tracing but the vast majority of artists dont like it and it makes them uncomfortable. so id just like keep it in your sketchbook or whatever :) better safe than sorry.

anyway ah this is so longgggg! sry im so bad at being concise lol. theres probably a lot of youtube videos that could help you with this stuff if you want more explanation. the channel ive been watching a lot in since this summer is sketches of shay. she makes a variety of stuff but her art studies and resources are also very helpful :)

HEYY I JUST WATCHED THE EPISODE THAT YOUR JAME THINGY IS FROM HEJDHD, its one of my favourites!! how about you whats your favourite episode(s) (im assuming you've watched them all? i havent if you haven't either so dont worry)

oh yes i have!!! im a bit rusty bc the last time i watched an ep was around this time last year but again the whole series is kind of ingrained into my head so

ok heres the list

1. classroom (s2e22)

i just love this one so much because it reminds me of an experience i’d have in elementary. the plot is that a test is supposed to take a place but there are technical difficulties that melanie and jim spend the whole episode fussing over, meanwhile there are a bunch of seperate plots going on inside the classroom between the kids and their little antics they’re going through despite being ordered to sit still until everything is sorted out, which of course they don’t do. in the end melanie is just like oh whatever lets just take the day off. and she joins in hanging out with the kids

2. belsons backpack (s2e36)

AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHDHDHHDEHRHDHDSJDJDDDUDIDKDKKDK. THIS ONE IS SOOOO. Ok SO what happens is belson and clarence accidentally switch bags and clarence finds this comic belsons been making out of pages of some sort of zoology book about dolphins, with the main protagonist named bodhi. of course clarence confronts belson about it and he’s like Omg i didnt know you liked comics!!! I love this so much you should make more!!! with his gay ass and belson of course denies any connection. but instead of it ending there, he keeps making them and secretly giving them to clarence. i dont remember exactly what happens to initiate the next events but it ends in clarence coming to belsons house and helping him through writers block and spoilers belson literally cries. over how sweet clarence is. head in hands

3. lil buddy (s1e41)

loooots of people don’t like this one at all but it’s so special to me. they dont like it because it’s “ugly and creepy” but like honestly? as an autistic it resonates with me so much with how i used to feel as a kid if something i liked / relied on was taken away from me. i used to have a ton of meltdowns and panic attacks over the smallest things so seeing clarence go through the same thing in this episode. AUGH just ive cried several times watching this ep its so touching and its so sweet at the end. Please Watch It !!!! im not even describing what actually happens throughout it bc i want anyone who hasn’t seen it to watch it as spoiler free as possible (you might remember seeing those memes about clarence shaving his head and wearing a black hoodie, this is what that’s from)

4. rise and shine (s1e12)

another one that i like just bc its so cozy. the whole premise is clarence wakes up early like at 4 or 5 am i think, and we see his whole little morning routine that involves trashing the house and then cleaning it up again all before mary and chad wake up. it does have a plot like with this mountain lion that made its way into his backyard but i dont care that much abt that part tbh. again it’s mostly the feeling of the episode

5. the entire stormy sleepover saga (s3e5-10)

not even gonna say anything about this one for two reasons. one is spoilers and two is because id be here until 11 am (it is 5 am) if i did so. just know it is the best thing to come out of the whole series Ever and it is the closest thing to clarence being serialised there is.

6. balance (s1e50)

speaking of serialised stuff in this show!!! this one comes directly after the episode “in dreams” where jeremy, a kid clarence meets in his dreams and does everything he can to make clarence stay asleep and play with him, makes his debut. ok i know based off that description jimmy sounds like some kinda villain but he’s sweet and just wants a friend ok. there is not a single Bad Guy in clarence and if you disagree you are wrong. but yeah the episode balance is where balance, who i kid you not looks like a clarence x belson fan kid, shows up first. basically throughout the episode he causes a bunch of problems for clarence and belson but appears as a goody two shoes to the rest of the school, at the end even hypnotising the staff momentarily, before he gets sprayed with a hose and gets thrown back into his little clown car with similar versions of jeff, sumo and belson in there with him. just a really bizarre episode that has some cool lore stuff

and finally number 7 is video store (s3e35)

this one is so good its crazy. it has no direction or planned plot, it is literally just the voice actors messing around in the studio acting as the main three in a video store, trying to find the perfect movie to watch that they can all agree on and have never seen, while making the store clerk’s life hell. it is definitely one of the funniest episodes i can tell you that confidently

i also drew this in a harutaka i posted but takane randomly giving static shock to people when they touch them ajdhnsakdjskf <- something having the long sleeves also helps with cuz that way he doesnt have to actually touch anyone. victims of this most often are haruka (by accident) and shintaro (on purpose). also its hair randomly standing up bc. static. this makes no sense ofc but i think its a funny and silly way to translate takane's power in her physical body. the more time he spends as ene the more charged with random electricity its physical body is. RIP harutaka kisses they kinda hurt. u can make the our love is electrifying joke only like 3 times before it becomes annoying. eventually takane thinks haruka becomes immune but in reality he just gets used to it

this is kinda canon ig cuz of that saiyuki comic abt enoshima(was it enoshima. i might be misremembering LOL whatever the picture contest one) where its implied shes been playing for a living so streamer vtuber ene REAL. a hit bc its an insane fucking model to have. when asked who made it enes just like ohh sorry the guy who made is my teacher who died lol!!! maybe theres a bunch of conspiracy videos abt it because ene stops going online for 2 years and then theyre back but instead of a silent stream like it always was its THIS. huge hit though. its awesome. streamer takane is so real not only does he use its power for a job but its also basically "kay time to go to work *falls asleep*" takane being the only? mekadan guy who actually loves their power and actively uses it post str will never not be funny they/she/he/it takane btw. if you even care. bisexual nonbinaries eating hot chip and lying. blue hair AND pronouns. ALSO THE BLUE HAIR ive also drawn this a few times but takane chopping all its hair off+dyeing it blue my beloved. post str takane is never rly drawn with the long hair he has when she gets his body back but ummm i think itd be funny if post str they had it and cut it straight to short from there. i do not want to see the no9 novel ever tbh im fine with it being buried and dead but omg....takane design without the stupid fucking pigtails im BEGGING id kill to see a canon takane design without them. but i live in my delusion and in it theres short blue hair and pronouns!!!

not so much of a takane headcanon more of a general one but also sort of related. im so fascinated by what saeru must've told haruka and takane's parents. haruka was gonna die anyway so his dad wouldnt be surprised but theres No Body? i think for him he was probably a little gaslighted abt seeing him dead and by how he is described maybe he wouldve been fine with never looking at his son dead+convinced to have a closed casket by his old pal mr tateyama and just buried an empty casket for haruka.

but for takanes grandma its so complicated bc she had no REASON to have takane disappear like that. basically i think saeru gaslights gatekeeps girlbosses so hard like gaslights both’s parents to hell and back but especially takanes grandma bc harukas dad is more or less covered but with all its money and resources it can cover up haruka and takanes disappearances altogether so takanes just. Gone. and this poor womans rly has no answers, no closure, no nothing. takane just vanishes!!! grandma enomoto protagonist when. i think itd be funny if she went full on old woman conspiracy theory mode or just tries to move on with this huge mystery behind. takane and grandma reunion i want to see it. haruka with his dad too tbh im rly curious what theyd tell them and what theyve been told LOL

i think haruka and takane dont go back to their families immediately bc they have no fucking clue what to even say so they stay in the hideout for the time being (would the dan move to the tateyama house post str? i read this in a fic once i think itd make sense and i always go sniff sniff imagining mekatrio+mary saying goodbye to the 107 apt). but for takane it sort of becomes urgent bc um it starts becoming apparent she needs its meds and the dan does NOT have the funds so while haruka can wait it out takane is like forced to go back home. i think at first takane would try to pull thru bc with its powers he can still hang out and stuff but its rather haruka/shintaro/ayano being like UMMMM... YEA U NEED UR MEDS. yuukei quartet visiting enomoto grandma WHEN!!!!!!they go 4 emotional support/help to explain i thinks. i think they wouldve known her back then too cuz in the sixth novel haruka mentions they go to takane's house for ayano's bday party after the gaming event.

Milo + Anon: CREATIVE LITTLE GOOBERS. Sorry. I can just imagine the two handing out in Anon's basement studio and chatting about their ghost stories, Milo sharing his sketches and Anon messing around with a little electric keyboard.

Milo + Moander: okokok this one is a little silly odd because Moander isn't really supposed to be seen without being summoned, so he's walking around the graveyard looking for lingering souls, and sees this random guy just staring at his 8'7 ass with probable disbelief/horror and he's just like "waaait a second."

OH MY GOD YES i am absolutely devouring these ideas cause i am in love with both of them there is no cringe here just me loving all three these strange pals🖤🖤🖤

ok ok i keep meaning to message you about Milo and Anon cause honestly i think about those two daily. Those two would be such a good duo and the best of friends i swear. Milo likes having someone he can just chill out and vibe with. He has a wack ton of sketches of Anon in his sketchbook. Some are just normal sketches of them just hunched over their keyboard or just vibing and others are these little wacky gremlin drawings that make Anon look absolutely goofy and feral. He definitely flips through and points out some of the cool spirits hes drawn and tell their stories. Milo would also wanna ask Anon to let him mess around with his keyboard and teach him little tunes but my boy is shy as hell.

I can just imagine Milo walking through the cemetery and doing a double take on Moander. His cigarette comically falling out of his mouth while just staring. Then Milo realizes he's been staring at this massive legend in front of him for way too long and theyre staring back at him and he just fast walks away like, "OH NO IVE BEEN CAUGHT." 🤣🤣 Milo and Moander are another duo i need more of in my life. omg those interactions would be AMAZING
