Just reading back a little and saw this moment
Tumblr media
And I think it's just sort of telling? How Best Jeanist refers to Tomura as destruction personified and Izuku says nothing, yet when En refers to him as sort of the same thing he voices what he really thinks
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And I can only think that every time someone has referred to Tomura as something without a shred of sympathy and Izuku's kept silent, it might be something he takes note of. Especially now that he's become aware of Tomura's pain. Hearing everything they call Tomura, like he's just some sort of thing, like he doesn't have a name or a past or a house that was once his (something he explicitly said TO Izuku as he fell from UA), it's gotta open his eyes or something, right?
Even Nana has referred to Tomura as a "thing", though she must have meant the version of Tomura that is "the finished product" (hence the wings after the chrysalis that was shown during the surgery) - someone truly incapable of being saved (and thus removing herself mentally/emotionally from the crushing fact that he is family)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Reactions like this one below; saying nothing when coming across a different opinion
Tumblr media
Reminds me of this
Tumblr media
And I suppose there is also an element of something back from when Izuku told Gran Torino he wanted to save Tomura. Torino had said the words "Killing can be another way of saving", and at the time, Izuku wasn't entirely sure if there was anything left of Tomura/Tenko inside the fusion. Up until that moment he asked if Tomura was still there, he couldn't have fully known whether he would have to kill him or get to save him like he wanted to do. So, essentially, keeping quiet when people referred to Tomura as "destruction incarnate" (and other things), just in case that really was what he'd become
Though I guess that detail doesn't really matter now, what with Izuku wanting to save him, finally seeing Tomura was still in there and digging his heels in with the set determination of saving him. He saw Tomura's personality, the human in him, after all
Anyway
Now it sort of seems like Izuku is speaking up? Not just in the presence of those who think otherwise but against Tomura himself. En says Tomura is like "destruction incarnate" and immediately after, Izuku says "It's deeper than that. You're human"
In the end, I wonder if it matters more that Izuku spoke up to Tomura first, someone who NEEDS to know the truth and who would greatly benefit from someone challenging his thoughts head-on, rather than mentioning it every time someone refers to Tomura as some "thing" instead
I guess it adds more of an impact to the story too, that way

it's interesting that meta voting seems to only be pushed so incredibly hard when it would result in a guilty verdict for the prisoner. but when the meta voting would result in an innocent verdict... it doesn't seem to be as important. i wasn't here or active for when haruka's and muu's voting was happening so i may just be talking out of my ass but. muu's guilty percentage was just so high, i can't help but make assumptions like this. i'd say shidou is an outlier as his votes were probably influenced by the meta mindset.. but i have a feeling that his votes wouldn't have been that different even if the meta wasn't being considered.
i really do wonder what was going on in people's minds when they were voting muu guilty..
it's like voting prisoners guilty is locking them up in a little box and pushing them to the side away from view. we don't have to think about consequences if we just vote prisoners guilty, right? freedom is dangerous, and it's easier to brute force our way to "peace".
except for the fact that it literally always backfires.

The wayy they SPECIFICALLY SHOWED riku's face. A close ass up of riku's face so that we could seEEE the moment riku senses sora breaking down, without being able to physically see/hear him.
Th. The implications of that. Wtf.
You know??? The scene?? Howw. Tf. It's not even like "oh riku knows sora so he anticipated sora's reaction and riku preemptively reacted"
Like no it's just. Here's sora, having just witnessed the demise of his friends. And here's riku, who is focused on something/someone else, but reacts suddenly to an unseen force.
And he looks. At sora.
I. Like there's ddd's level of connection, and then there's /this/. Wtf. It's. So. Beautiful

okay okay I know its super fun to joke about Gojou's juicy lips(tm) but! I thought it was interesting to note a comment from his VA (where he was asked about this) who stated that the reason behind making his lips extra juicy (and also his exaggerated body language) is that it's to help convey his emotions since his eyes are always covered up by his blindfold or glasses and in animation eyes and eyebrows are vital for conveying a character's emotions, but since Gojou's eyes are always covered up, the animators can't use this vital tool to show us Gojou's emotions (although when they do show his eyes, it's always a big deal and just very fun!)...but yeah idk I just thought that was interesting!

I have opinions about many an early to mid 2010s Filipino rap song. I wish I had opinions about better topics. But actually I don't wish that. I think it's funny to think about Repablikan's First Love this much.

hey! for todays protest, i made this little zine about palestine (holding just simple and basic information).
you can download the zine here, fold it yourself, and distribute it around.
no credit is needed. feel free to leave it around bars, protests, or wherever. simply print it (borderless) and fold it. here is a tutorial on how to do it.
dont stay silent. there is a genocide of horrendous, atrocious proportions going on. also if you are a zionist here to argue with me, i dont plan to entertain you at all, not on my art blog. fuck off, you'll be swiftly blocked. i see enough of you clowns on my main and i have no energy for you. you can skip the death threats too bc i dont give a shit.
(i'm off to get ready for a surgery now, i just wanted to post it before this. if you need anything, i might take a bit to reply)

Great news for uninsured adults in the USA who want a COVID-19 booster! It now appears that ALL CVS locations are now active participants in the Bridge Access Program. The Bridge Access Program gives out free Covid-19 vaccinations to 18+ adults who otherwise can't afford one, so if you have a CVS near you, please go get one! For others who don't have a CVS near them, please go to vaccines.gov, click on "Find Covid-19 vaccines", fill out which vaccines you prefer (you can mix different vaccines if you have to so i reccomend just marking all of them for the age groups you need), and when the next page loads mark the "Bridge Access Program Participant" option to see only locations that are Bridge Access Program participants. Hopefully, other places that aren't CVS will start participating soon, so just check back every so often to see if there are any updates. The CDC Bridge Access Program website also has more details on what locations will be participating, but only CVS is appearing as an active participant on the vaccines.gov location finder at the moment.

Valhalla members history no one asked for!
I do find it extremely interesting that it’s Kazutora who picked out 2 of the 3 captains, but more than that, I find it interesting that those two follow Kazutora. As Kazutora himself says, He met Chome and Chonbo in juvie because they were the two strongest at the time that he was in juvie (at least in the center he was at). I’m not so surprised two of his choices were selected because Hanma does actually ask for Kazutora’s opinion and thoughts on matters. Hanma treats Kazutora like an actual second in command which does a lot for his standing with Kazutora. Sure, Hanma checked to see they were worth is, but Kazutora is good at assessing matters like this.
Kazutora met Chome first. Between the two of them and what little content we have, Kazutora and Chome seem to have a similar sort of perspective, at least on gang matters. Both point out that people tend to act one way but that isn’t the real truth, be it as a person or as Chome says, in brgging rights like ‘being the strongest tend to be all talk’. While they weren’t ‘friends’ per se, truces and alliances are often important in juvie. They liked each other enough, and soon Kazutora met Chonbo and the three formed a team within juvie. Chome and Chonbo both got out a bit before Kazutora since they had shorter sentences.
Naturally once Kazutora was out and recruited into Valhalla, Kazutora turned to extend the offer towards Chome and Chonbo as well. They’d been a good team in juvie, might as well offer a place. Bonds in juvie aren’t the same as friends or other bonds, but they’re important and remembered. Kazutora was also already thinking of Mikey. As Kazutora tells Mikey, he never promised to fight one on one. Chome, Chonbo, and Kazutora had all worked together before, so Kazutora would prefer to work with people he both knew to be strong and who could work together and with him. Plus, with them joining Valhalla, it helped coordinate them all together even more..

not schure if my classpect would be maid of space or seer of heart . like my career and a lot of my passion is for creating physical spaces (albiet digitally) and i do roll with a lot of space aspect tropes. BUTTTTT i also roll with a lot of seer tropes given how often i, incidentally or not, prevent catastrophic mistakes, and my incherest in knowledge n stuff . now i say seer of heart specifically because i nailed down my own identity pretty quick and confidently, and then progressed to helping other people with similar struggles . seer of heart feels p right . but so does maid of space auguaugh

Happy tdov to fat trans people. 🏳️‍⚧️ Biggest thing that helped me as a trans kid was seeing older fat trans people. There were a lot of really irritating "advice" posts going around early in my time on the internet with a lot of misinformation in them, but one that I constantly saw (in addition to people claiming you should wear your pants rediculously low or only wear button ups) were posts saying you had to lose weight to transition. Can confidently confirm that is completely untrue. 👍
