also obeguda where oberon is an actor-seiyuu-singer and because they voiced two characters in a show called 'Avalon le Fae', another sequel to an ongoing anime series that was popular in japan and their characters' ship blew up locally and internationally, they did collabs sometimes, they were invited to do dramalogues, also to radio broadcasts, gameshows, talkshows together etc. hosts even try to ask the both of them if theyre dating but they always somehow dodge the topic. since oberon's character almost matches his own feelings during the avalon le fae voice recording session, he's surprised by ritsuka having immediately understood the assignment as "Master of Chaldea". the studio decided to pick the female Master this time to take over for the male Master. just a one time thing (but could change depending on people's views since the director of the entire series liked using male Master as much as possible for fanservice and bc shounen genre) so with Master of Chaldea being a girl this time, everyone is excited to see how it would play out. after all, female Master of Chaldea never got the chance to shine in the soptlight in the main story.

the way ritsuka voices 'Master of Chaldea' feels... raw, natural. she understood their pain as someone who has killed innocent worlds just for a chance at survival, she understood the burden of being a commander for ghosts who can kill her in an instant, she understood the weight of what 'Master of Chaldea' entailed in the entire series. theres a pleasant lilt to her voice when the moment is quiet in the scene, especially during her nightly conversations with the Fairy King who was the "only servant summoned in the lostbelt to help Chaldea" . her voice is strong and determined yet there is fear, there is that sense of "i have to move and save someone. i have to try even if it will be useless in the end. i have to try. i cant save everyone but i have to try." in her voice when someone dies, when someone is hurt, when someone close to her disappears. ritsuka's voice acting especially shines during the 'Lost Will' episode/scene. where she conveys 'Master of Chaldea's feelings as if it truly truly is her own. and either shes just really passionate or something about the character resonates with her. so this makes oberon watch her more carefully. avalon le fae also gives ritsuka the chance to befriend artoria again, who was the star (hehe) for this show despite being a little new to the entertainment world. and because ritsuka loves castoria no matter the world, ritsuka devotes every spare time she has into spending time with artoria. and artoria is almost always flustered bc wtf wtf fujimaru ritsuka is holding my hand?! she's kissing my cheek!? wtf do i do!?aaaaæåâa. ritsuka also teases oberon, which then leads to oberon breaking out of his princely facade to retort back because of course, no matter the world, only yakudou trio can mess with each other's masks and call each other out haha. in anycase, this AU's oberon is also looking for his titania in a way. and so with avalon le fae's story, it feels like ritsuka is constantly calling him out for real and not just towards his character but to himself too. maybe there is even a party...maybe a ball for the entire staff that lets oberon and ritsuka do a more intimate talk as just 'themselves'. they could even dance together which would fuel more rumors of them dating and also for my obeguda needs. oberon also notices she has so many very faint scars that can easily be covered up by makeup or photoshop which would allude to her past life but of course she keeps that knowledge secret. again, oberon's attention towards her is sharpened. her work as an entertainer with her multiple talents allows her to do maybe even thrice of what he usually does with his own roles and things only he can do. theres of course that natural enormous pressure she feels as an entertainer, multilinguist and artist, and also because she's only a 2nd year student, even she herself wouldnt know when to take a break and stop. naturally, there would be haters, people who think of her annoying, people who thinks she is a leech taking credit, people who think she's just sleeping her way through. there would even be some people trying to harass her or even try to ruin her. of course, she takes it all with a smile. and maybe at a fansign event, someone throws food at her as revenge for not replying to the fan in one of her tweets. but of course, she's strong. that's how she was even back then. this is no place to be weak. you dont deserve to show a sign of weakness or arrogance. you have to keep up with your image just like back then. instead, she's just forgiving which angers oberon. maybe obeguda also do a small commercial up in the mountains for filming, which naturally of course rains, ritsuka gets lost, knocked unconscious, oberon goes to get her despite other staff protests, when he finds her though its raining harder and he cant see but theres a small abandoned house nearby they could use for temporary shelter. they spend the time together warming themselves. augh fluff and angst moment basically but they talk more, there is more understanding...a majority of this post is basically obeguda now wtf.

for romaguda, i can think of ritsuka surprising romani with a really expensive slice of strawberry cake she gifts him with on a random day, romani tending to her injuries after she sprains herself and he catches her in time, ritsuka staying over at romani's place since she just missed the last train home. also romani doing his best to hide his merch of her as fast as he can with the unplanned visit from her. ritsuka also teasing him with 'roman-kun' as if they were classmates which would KO romani...then out of nowhere ritsuka one day hugs him tight on what was supposed to be a happy christmas for everyone. and she's just... really sad yet happy as she hugs him tight, (someone describing her expression to be 'romantic' back then). ritsuka tells romani how much she appreciates having him by her side and seeing him happy, living a relaxed life. of course, romani is confused but nonetheless he appreciates it and is flustered by ritsuka saying this. he doesnt know why she's suddenly soft towards him. softer than usual but he doesnt like seeing her look as if she was on the verge of tears. he doesnt truly know the answer until... he finds her sketchbook that was left in her classroom. he knows he shouldnt peek but hes curious... so he could just pretend that he didnt see it. her sketches are wild to say the least. theres somehow drawings of orleans in early century with... two identical women fighting with flags, companions and dragons, theres even rome drawn? she drew the argonauts? is that nightingale? she's cetainly scary.. theres even some knight of the round table too... was she a fan of myth and legend? then on the last page... romani sees an awfully familiar throne, with rocks floating about, black and red tendrils around stone white pillars, a huge band of light as well as... a man with white hair and dark skin but he couldnt see his face due to the man facing the throne, his hands stretched out into the sky as... rings float away from his grasp and there was ritsuka herself, drawn bloody and crying as she clutches at a massive shield on the ground and somehow.. somehow a pang of pain shoots right through him seeing this scene. he swallows. his hands grow weak, he carefully sets the sketchbook back on the table as he takes a moment to breathe. what was that? what was that? he doesnt know what to think except... it was familiar in a way he cant describe. nevertheless he looks back at the beautiful artwork again, this time seeing the cursive title and date "The Time of Parting has Come, He is the One who Lets Go of the World (12/25/20XX)" today, this piece was finished today, which was accomanied by ritsuka's signature under it. even though romani doesnt completely understand, he does understand the pain ritsuka was feeling when she hugged him earlier.

i also want to add edguda but i still have to think of what kind fo good position gankutsuou can take that allows him to be able to be close to her...

Not really, I don’t think Malleus really cares about Idia or is even aware of how either Sebek or Lilia treats him.

If anything, it’s karma for how Lilia treats Malleus lol Things are complicated between them, and Lilia has a history of doing exactly that – toying with people, at least in Malleus’ bitter mind. To play devil’s advocate, Lilia isn’t a malicious heartbreaker, and a lot of times he doesn’t even mean for people to get so attached to him, but that doesn’t mean that he didn’t hurt some people, including Malleus.

To answer your question: hmm, I guess he does technically? He isn’t very serious about their affair, and he is partially doing this to mess with Lilia, to make Lilia eat his words, so to speak. But it’s not like Malleus just uses Sebek or laughs at his feelings either. While Sebek’s intenseness is annoying sometimes, the lengths he would go to make sure that Malleus is satisfied are amusing and honestly even exciting sometimes. Seeing complete and unapologetic devotion in Sebek’s eyes and knowing that he is Sebek’s entire world feels like just the right medicine for Malleus’ aching heart. And sex feels good too, despite the fact that Sebek isn’t at all experienced. And seeing him so conflicted about the signals Malleus is giving him is absolutely priceless: he clearly wants to touch him, but isn’t sure if he is allowed, and it’s cute.

Of course, having full attention of a person doesn’t help when you feel the lack of attention from another person. But also? This doesn’t mean that Malleus doesn’t have any feelings or soft spots for Sebek. In fact, I feel like as time goes by, Malleus wouldn’t even think for a moment that Sebek is filling a Lilia-shaped hole in his soul. For once, he doesn’t fit lol

So yeah, he isn’t as serious about it as Sebek, so technically it is kind of cruel towards him in a way.

Hmm, I think for the most part he just doesn’t trust it. Why would anyone want to act that way with him? And it’s not even “aww, but I’m ugly, who would want me :(“; I think he genuinely feels uncomfortable and doesn’t know how to respond to this treatment. It someone is trying to please him and wants something in return, it’s easier to comprehend: he is very similar to Azul in this specific aspect, but not as business-oriented. He is also more likely than Azul to consider this to be an attempt at trolling, like to make Idia feel like he is being pampered and loved, only to make fun of him for believing it.

And even if his potential suitor breaks this wall of distrust and proves his earnestness, here comes another wall: Idia doesn’t believe in good things for himself. If he feels good, something bad is inevitably going to happen. Happiness makes him nervous, because it makes him subconsciously paranoid of how painful it’s going to be when this nice thing goes away. So yeah, in general it’s just more difficult for him to accept and comprehend this treatment.

And if we’re talking about him in bed, here comes the third wall: it’s just way too embarrassing. Why is he being treated with such care? Those gentle little kisses should be for someone cute and small and someone who would make sweet noises or sighs all sexily. It takes him out of the moment sometimes.

And THEN if his lovers somehow manages to break all these walls, and Idia feels comfortable and has accepted the loves he is being given… THEN Idia is going to realise that genuine soft romantic stuff is kinda boring lol He would rather play videogames than makeout for 60 minutes and exchange petnames, it just doesn’t give him as much adrenaline rush as rougher treatment.

this is just the cutest little city pop song! it's simple and catchy and it was a real change to hear such soft voices from billlie! softer title tracks always stand out to me because they are often so so pretty and delicate and byob is so so pretty and delicate! and the lyrics... i have claimed this as an aromantic anthem, it's ours. not relating to your friends having crushes .... billlie i see u

9. Break the Brake - Xdinary Heroes

this song is just straight vibes... the loudest rock we've gotten from xdinary and I appreciate it SO much. the verses r so clean and the falsetto.. its harmonically so interesting so the noise of the chorus feels properly cathartic and doesn't feel like a loss which can sometimes happen in scream-esc choruses. It's arranged SO well to balance all these things and be stimulating while also being so emotive. AND JUNHAN WITH THOSE CRUNCHY NOTES IN HIS SOLO. the dissonance.. its so brain-sratchy

8. In Bloom - Zerobaseone

zebi brainrot is so real friends.. be careful. this song is so beautiful! i think its a perfect example of the song marrying the concept and mv and members tones so well. from literally the first minute of zb1 i was so excited about their concept of mixing natural imagery like flowers with glitchy technology imagery and i hoped the music would match... AND IT DID! its so lyrical while being crunchy and energetic. SUCH a slayful debut

7. #menow - Fromis_9

this song is sooooo pretty. epitome of a soft bop. it's a classic fromis sound but with this sense of maturity and humility that makes it so engaging and emotional. it demands to be taken seriously but still is so fun! the vocal production is next level.. the effect on their voices in the chorus so they're used like instruments... one of favourite techniques ever. i LOVE when the vocals truly feel like part of the arrangement and not just sitting on top and this song truly does that

6. Spicy - Aespa

the absolute cunt aespa serve in this song... who let them. anyone who knows me knows i'm obsessed with everything moonshine has ever made.. and so when i heard they were doing an aespa title... i went crazy. and i am so right for it. THE BASS IS INSANE?? it puts all other synth basses to shame with how in your face it is. and the crispy snare? idk how to describe this song other than cunty because she genuinely does not care about being clean or palatable... like she is In Your Face with sound. and aespa literally ate that up... they are so fun and cheeky and confident! i'm sorry this is the kind of song that only a group of baddies could handle and aespa stepped up

txt doing disco... like you already have me at that. it's sooooo groovy and although the anti-chorus was surprising.. i'm not mad at it! I'm so happy they went into it full force with the whisper vocals and the choreo switching mood, it rly helped the genre change make sense. and the DISCOOO at the end.. bop central. the lyrics and choreo and vibes overall r just so beautiful.. what can i say i love songs about gay sex i mean forbidden love...

the funky bop of all funky bops... literally funk pop goodness! there is so much movement in this track theres so many different rhythms happening and the blend together sooo well. the dance break is perfect.. literally everything you want from a dance break with the continuation of the same sounds but a new tone to it and new rhythmic focuses. and the choreo for it literally hits ever beat you want it to and stretches out the time between them perfectlyyyy. but ultimately it is on here because is it a feel-good happy fun bop.. and she excels at it! vity makes me so happy and they are so good at making songs that make you happy

3. Galileo - Kep1er

cutest song of the year! it is so groovy and fun and danceable. it is sooo feel-good it literally makes me smile every time. thank you hiyyih for putting aegyo in a song<3 where is her nobel peace prize. this is the kind of song where you truly can't hear the music theory going on because it just does exactly what you want it to do! any tension chords are resolved perfectly where you want them to. it's the perfect example of chords from minor keys borrowed to make a song that sounds so major and happy. there is absolutely nothing i would change about this song it is sooo perfect. absolutely filled to the brim with joy

2. ROAR - The Boyz

...like literally hello? this song came out of nowhere for me i did NOT expect to be as impressed as i was like my life changed after this song. firstly the whistle.. hot and sexy and catchy. carrying it through as a motif, chopping it up, creating variations, translating it to a singable vocal line... all of that is SO impressive to be able to pull off. crunchy track underneath.. beautiful. but what is most impressive to me about this song is the topline. the vocals are literally insane.. chanhee and hyunjae have my favourite tbz voices and u are crazy if u don't agree that they r the main characters of this song. some of those chorus lines are So high and they can sing them in a way that sounds so effortless. and the backing vocals... the Incredibly high harmony in the choruses makes me want to scream (it's jacob i think.. jail). and there is just voices Everywhere.. everywhere theres little 'ahs' hidden around and it not only fits the songs sexy concept in such a natural way but it just fills up every bit of space in the song. and the lyrics... once again i love a song about ..*checks notes* forbidden love.. that is damned by heaven... definitely not about gay sex tho .. definitely not..

1. Chill Kill - Red Velvet

second moonshine on the list .. no one is suprised. i think this song has complimented red velvet's two sides of creepy and feel-good the most successfully. the tone shift from the verses to the chorus is so obvious... but seamless. and what does it is the harmony! the chords are perfect... it seems redundant to talk about rv vocals but they rly just make the song. and the outro... blending both vocal parts of the chorus together.. it sounds epic. it adds to both the happy and creepy by sounding like a group of friends together.. but also cult-y with all that creepiness still lingering. singing 'forget about your sorrow' with the happiest voices like the verses weren't filled with creepy minor sounds... literally gaslighting queens. this song is terrifying and also the most joyful (hi sooyoung 😘) experience to listen to.... only the dream team of moonshine cazziopeia and red velvet can manage that. and it's no surprise this dream team gets my no.1 spot!

I’m happy we’ve all allowed ourself to make fun of the cringe in the new album now. When I listened the first time I took an edible and literally every other song there would be a lyric so embarrassing that would sober me instantly. Like the cherry on top line??? I’m a millennial so I am unfazed by the word lit but every time I heard the word “serotonin” it was an immediate hello-fellow-kids type of ick!!! Like….I assume some of this is like post-irony type of humor but Patrick how did you take yourself seriously?? To be clear! I actually enjoyed most of the album but like…. Bruh… :/

Huge fucking disconnected essay cause I'm procrastinating

Thats how I felt too, the cherry on top line didn't bother me but the shiny dimes lyric did. When Mania came out everyone was roasting the "wearing black" line to death so this is not new lol

Also regarding the serotonin line specifically, it is pretty clearly a 2019-2020 Covid song and even drops 2019 in it, that's when that was first emerging as a meme so I don't necessarily think it was a "fellow kids" thing then. And I think how fast things move now where memes are dead after a week that can be difficult with albums. I also think the song reads as very slightly sardonic

I did think it was strange they mentioned 2019 in a song that came out in 2023, but I also feel like that was a really emotionally charged time that's important to write about and document. But back then, it read as really tone deaf and bratty and out of touch and genuinely incited such raw rage and incensed disgust and primal hatred in me when bands were releasing music about it as it was happening. And I think that feeling was pretty universal. But I like WATTBA now because it's been years and life has moved on. And I think Pete has even talked about how some of the record was written years ago but he knew coming out with a rock record then was a very wrong thing to do, which I agree with completely and admire that he isn't too brainrotted by Los Angeles to notice that.

Speaking broadly about his cliches, I suspect part of this might be that the stuff on their earlier albums was similar, but we were so young when it came out or listened to this so many years after, and therefore didn't recognize it as the same level or incorporating trends. If that makes sense. So perhaps theres some bias there. Like I can't help but wonder if lyrics and vibes like “car crash hearts” was the same level of social media trendy as “serotonin” is now, but I don't know and think it's so wonderful now because I never knew it was an overdone social media thing. If that makes sense. (Also: "I'm every cliche but I simply do it best.")

Sometimes I think theres some questionable lyrics of his that work— ie my favorite album is Save Rock and Roll, and I think it might be the strongest lyrically except maybe Infinity on High. But there are moments like “Let's put the D in dirt now baby” or “Anything you say can and will be held against you, so only say my name” that are like. wannabe coy and stolen from Twitter. But just work really well for some reason. I think the songs are (/ record is) so dark and scary thematically it balances out the pseudocleverness and just comes across as neutral, and Patrick's voice being the way it is really helps. I was also just past 13 when the album came out and wasn't really on social media, so i didn't recognize them as like contemporary cliches and thought Pete came up with them, and by the time I realized he borrowed them I was already so used to them it didn't register at all.

Also I think some of his lyrics aren't particularly clever but are really universal, like "Let your dirty sadness fill you up just like a balloon" doesn't look that great on paper but I think about that line a lot because it's how a certain type of feeling just is and expresses it better than anything else, I think.

Also, their base is kind of aging which is probably a factor as well-- a big business talking point of WWWY and the latest Blink tour was the fact that everyone who listens to that genre of music has disposable income because they're in their 30s now. (I mention Blink specifically because Mark is like Pete's friend and capitalism fuck buddy.) And like as another example after cat prom I realized I'm a lot younger than I thought the average age for being involved with them was. So I do not think anything HC posts is funny at all but he has like a kajillion followers so clearly it's working for their target demographic.

Also 10ish years ago FOB and Panic concerts were like teeny bopper central, and there were some kids at the Metro show but I felt like there were also a lot of 30 year olds too.

And I think there are some really good lyrical moments on the record too, like "I will never ask you for anything except to dream sweet of me" is so good

This is way too long already but anyway also I got a really good job where I started doing (not super glamorous) writing professionally recently. And I think that I had kind of a dim view of a lot of FOB lyrics because they were so simplistic and short and repetitive. And that's what writing professionally is like, and there is so much research and meetings and discussion and analysis and data and Excel and money that goes into writing things that are unbelievably short and simplistic but work, it's making me rethink how I look at those more recent lyrics of Pete's.

yall. discovering the good omens parody made me rewatch @thehillywoodshow parodies i remember from my teenhood and.

this makes me experience shrimp emotions. idk where to even start explaining how this makes me feel. but ig i will try

like first of all the fact that ive watched enough of this show to know all the references. and that all these references happened at all and this show happened at all and that i watched most of it and loved it as a teen. its like awe and suprise and nostalgia and sadness and joy and a little bit of mortification but then vindication for having been so passionate about something and enjoying it

second of all the song, im not a massive fan of swift and never really was but shake it off and a lot of her stuff was pretty unavoidable during those years, and i def cant deny this and others are absolute bops and still make me smile and dance... and the message is positive and fun, the way lyrics are changed in the parody mostly fit really well and sound really good so its a song i can enjoy without the context too

and how its like. intentionally combining this... idea of a misogynistic perception of fandom that used to be a lot more prominent, of like the "squeee fangirl" and just being super silly and fun because why the fuck not! and combining it with this show, which is (at least at the start meant to be) more like kinda broody and classically masculine and stuff, and just embracing that combination so genuinely and happily, it was so wonderful to see in 2015 and still so wonderful, and such a fuck you to THA HATERS literally

and just. the production quality is incredible and inspiring, theres so much going on so many scenes and so many meme and culture and show references that bring a smile to my face, the cosplay is wonderful and high quality and makes me want to cosplay spn(really? oh god) for the first time again...

and the fact that they got so many actors and people involved with the show involved!! seeing fancontent aknowledged by "official" sources is still pretty baffling to me sometimes, and it def wasnt as regular in 2015 as it is now to my knowledge, so this was super BIG and awesome back then...

i fell off the latter end of spn, so the only like offical fan depictions and fandom aknowledgements in the series itself i remember are Fan Fiction and the novels and the larper ghostbusters?? or whatever, and those werent always the most sympathetic, or rather made fun of the fandom... which like, parody is fine, spn is a fun meta show, but it did often feel somewhat meanspirited and disapproving, which i understand but dont like. So seeing a fan-MADE parody that is just genuinely celebrating the work AND its fans is such a joy!!!

im just... :') god what a wonderful video and time to look back on and remember, it makes me so happy this exists

regarding this era, idk maybe were all getting concerned for nothing like, it seems to me like despite the mainstream influences (and the complaining due to pressure awsten has aided, which he “works himself to death/takes on every little thing you hand him”) he still really cares about the quality of their stuff. i think he does a lot from a business standpoint these days but at the end of the day he values his art too.

even with people shitting on how forced the new song sounds, i dont think hed put out something he doesn’t genuinely believe in to an extent. i do think hes Playing The Game of the industry a bit heavily, but i sincerely doubt he derive any pleasure or motivation from just pumping out shitty generic song after song so he has to feel like hes being genuine and producing something worthwhile to some degree. a similar lyric to this songs theme came up in easy to hate from fandom, which that album still had tons of creativity and depth. also like his family does still go to their shows sometimes or at least catches wind of what theyre up to so i dont think hes gonna put out anything he wouldnt be comfortable with them even passively knowing/hearing (meaning like this persona can only go so far before theres lines even he isnt gonna cross)

hm i do agree with you anon but i feel like despite his whole hearted belief that he is making the best music he can for the band i think his own deluded ego and yes men along with constantly seeing things from a business lens has affected what he sees and writes now. like he may let himself believe that now, but it’s likely the combination of all those things + the pressure and fear of failing affecting how the music is now and how he’ll try convincing everyone that they’re moving forward for the better - iz

(actually, i have a lot of processing disorders, probably, but Mixtape made me think of that one) its where your ears are fine, but your brain has problems processing language. so a lot of the time, if you arent reading lips (their back is to you, theyre in the other room, or theyre a recording on a mixtape), or if theres competing sounds (like the melody can make lyrics hard to hear), if there's an accent, or if youre just having a bad processing moment-- people sound like theyre speaking Simlish. they sound like the Peanuts parents. theyre suddenly speaking a foreign language you dont know, and maybe you can catch onto the meaning via context clues and pass by the "i heard your voice but didnt hear a word you just said" moment. other times you have to ask people to repeat themselves (and sometimes you process belatedly and realize what they said in the middle of their repetition, meaning the repetition was useless, its annoying). it's like,you can hear a car door slam down the street just fine, you can hear the faucet dripping in the other room-- but trying to hear your bud that's driving while youre in the backseat?? with their face away from you, the sounds of the car itself moving and the sounds of traffic, god forbid if any music is playing or multiple people in the car are talking at once-- you cant hear a thing anyone is saying. its all gibberish

i have a point to this, promise. the end result is cute, i just have to explain a lot about this disorder first because idk if you know it already or not, and yeah

growing up, i couldnt figure out what the fuck people were saying while they were singing because of this disorder. the melody was competiting with the singer, i could hear the singer's voice but none of the lyrics. so what i always had to do was search youtube for the lyric videos or try to find the lyrics online. because if i couldnt do either (and i very often couldnt growing up. i generally can now, but every once in a while, i still google it and come up with zilch), and i had no lyrics to reference, then that meant looping the song until i could "get" what they were saying. and very, VERY often?? id get like. two or three lines of every other verse, and the rest was a garbled mess of English-ish words and im just sitting there going "i guess i'll never know"

now. call me crazy. i was born in 1997, idk what tech was available in the 80s. but i know youtube was NOT, and im pretty fucking positive googling song lyrics was also not something one could do. youd have to find the album's song books somewhere or hope the lyrics were printed on the vinyl case (idk if cassette tapes also sometimes had that, idk). a mixtape?? you definitely dont get the lyrics printed anywhere. buying several albums of song books for a single mixtape of miscellaneous songs is just expensive

actually, as a genuine ABBA fan, the fact that rheir voices are never comepting with the melody (the voices are always SIGNIFICANTLY louder than rhe melody) and they ennuciate well, shit sounds crystal clear, i dont have to look up lyrics usually. same thing with musicals, they usually have to put a lot of focus in vocal clarity since not everyone can see the actor's face on stage, so that's part of why im a musical nerd. its easier to process

so. im here. just sitting. imagining my y/n with their auditory processing disorder, wincing at eddie and going "I'm taking it slow. I've been re-listening to the songs until I can actually process what the singer is saying. It's hard to, like, hear the words. I haven't let myself move onto the next song until I figure it out. Because. Y'know. You made it for me, and I want to appreciate it and understand what you've made me."

"Oh. That's right, your brain-language thing. Uh. Well, how far have you gone?"

"I've been on the first track all week, actually. But I promise I'm trying! Really! I do like how it sounds, I just want to get what the guy's actually saying before moving on to the next one, y'know? I'm sorry."

and i say this because. god. eddie probably knoes all the songs. and i dont think hed like sernade someone who he wasnt dating, bUT

the idea of eddie having to "make it physical", like, him having to hand-write the lyrics for y/n (he knows the songs afterall, hes probably nemorized them or at least can re-listen and pause the song to write the next bit down bc he can hear better than them) so they can read the lyrics while listening, him having to take this ethereal concept of trying to communicate his feelings and WRITING IT DOWN, knowing y/n will have his heart in his hands (as opposed to the slight distance of putting a cassette in a player, no longer touching skin) and see all the mispellings and scribbles and smudges, and just. god. the fear of what if your handwriting betrays what youre feeling. the addition of paper and pen makes the will they/wont they get it, get me, get what im saying mystery of a mixtape feel even more like a love letter now, aw fuck. poor eddie. he already went through the nervousness of handing them the cassette, now this is like the sequel and he still has no emptional pay-off from the first one yet on if this is just him or what

ugh. i just thought thatd be so fucking cute. him writing down the lyrics for them. god

i cant write a fic, i dont have the time, but i thought youd like this vague outline of one in return for the gift of what you crafted and polished so well. thank you for it. again, shit really tugged at my heart strings, i love the angst and pining of it all. i hope this attempt of a return gift made you at least smile. i know it doesnt parallel with your AUDACIOUSLY wonderful idea of "i cant listen to this tape because i love you", but it still was an idea generated because of you. and i just love the tenderness of eddie doing the Love As An Act Of Service in it, and i hope that you end up enjoying at that aspect of it too. again, what youve done is an utter delight, and i hope this outline gives you a fraction of the leg-kicking squeals kinda feelings you gave me. thank you again. good luck to you in all you do ♡

Also, I do think the idea of Eddie writing out the lyrics would be pretty cute—going through half a notebook of paper because his handwriting looks like shit or he keeps misspelling words. And then he knows that you'll look at it, see the lyrics written out and how scary that would be for him.

my dad cussed tf out some old guy when trying to get in somewhere and although i agree he was in the right and that other guy was wrong it was so unnecessary the way he acted like theres no need for all that infront of little ass kids too like😭 it was annoying on the guys part too because for him he just stayed there like??? mf if you thought that was the exit then just fucking exit like??? why you waiting on us to go?? It was genuinely so stupid.

But yeah it was annoying to see me dad act like that because I really only like seeing him one way so him acting like that ruins his image for me. Idk if that incredibly naive of me to admit that but i just feel like that rn. My dad doesn’t look like no gangster or cholo he just sum regular looking mexican dad so ofc he woulda acted like that infront of the old guy because he didn’t look intimidating at all. I would of been pissed at him if he was cussing out at some cholo dude like theres no way you’re that stupid we both work at the liquor store see how scary these mfs are. But yeah I don’t think hes that dumb hope not.

But anyway it reminded me of how this older cholo who comes by at the store a lot is really nice and respectful to me. hes not as scary looking but u don’t always have to look it to be it yaknow? But he was cussing out his friend. And this friend he is no cholo or gangster at all. Just some regular mexican guy like my dad. I kept hearing him repeating relax relax blah blah we’re friends duadah all that stuff while he kept going ape shit on him. I just kept thinking dam sucks to be him because it must be scary pissing off your gangster friends. Like you’re not always friends with these people and most people always switch up so its liek you never know ya know? And ik this cholo has killed people before because i be over hearing him talk to his other cholo friends remembering old times. but yeah he just kept repeating those words and i kept thinking to my self like it must be scary being a dude sometimes because theres those power dynamics most times in where someone is more than you. Like as a guy is just like oh thats guy is more hard that guy is a little bitch or whatever whatever Especially around here it just makes me realize how fucking scary my area is and NOTHING that crazy has happened to me other than some guy getting stabbed and asking me to call the cops but like ig affected me directly you know? And ik it might be dumb but the lyric “you must be a muñeca if you’re still standing still” been in my head all day. Because i just kept thinking about it and every cholo is pretty much nice to me and like ofc they are because im im environment in where its just courteous like duh i sell beer to you ofc u would be. But they don’t have to ask about my day or give me stuff or tell me stuff about them, they choose too because im likable to them. So i can’t imagine them cussing me out or yelling at me or being really scary towards me because im a nice young pretty girl to them so its like why would they?? The only people who have gotten mad at me are women and this one homeless dude. Which even then the women dont scare me to much because ik girls actually dont do shit 😭 so im just like bruh nothing is going to happen theres no need for that. But still again its like you never know so i just wanna practice being a sweetheart to everyone. It made me insecure to be seen as naive, innocent and shy but i should start owning it because it could be use to my advantage some how and it just better to be nice like anger is only a stress reliever in the moment but then you just feel like shit afterwards. For me personally at least

Anger is such a strong emotion like the control it has over you the way you just feel your self swirl into so many negative things like theres nothin like it, its just such powerful feeling

But anyway yea i just felt like typing all this down because i just kept thinking about it while doing my art hw but point is I should really stop thinking im untouchable and get ready for the worst.

SAI livestream things that I noticed (ongoing post)

we’re going to edit this post with more stuff we notice. everything is going under the cut, since this is gonna get pretty long.

during the dema “commercials” (when it cuts to the bishops plugging the album), the cd’s are subtly getting rearranged

during the first commercial, the black slipcase is on the right and the blue slipcase is on the left. all the way in the back going from left to right, theres the casette, stack of three cd’s (white on top, pink in the middle, blue on the bottom), what appears to be the limited edition box set (sold on their website), and what im 99% sure is a lyric booklet.

during the second commercial, things appear to be the same at first glance, but there are some subtle differences. the black slipcase is on the left and the blue is on the right, and the three cd’s in the back are in a different order (pink is on top, blue is in the middle, and white is on the bottom).

during the third commercial, the three cd’s are still stacked on top of each other but it looks less neat. the order is white on top, pink in the middle, blue on the bottom, like in the first commercial. the products appears to be more centered (before, the blue box was more to the right and the casette is now fully on the stand), except for the central cd’s. the cd’s are now on the right, stacked underneath the lyric booklet (blue on top, black on the bottom)

we have no idea what this means yet, but its too deliberate to be insignificant. we’re going to add to this post with other things we’ve noticed, but for now that’s it

first edit: it seems like the bishops are being controlled, too. during the last commercial:

-“sometimes i close my eyes to try to escape.” “you know you cant escape, sally”

-”you need to get this collection in your life.” “but remember, you should-” *static* (if the bishops are in charge of dema and genuinely trying to spread its message, why would they get cut off?) (of course, its possible that the banditos cut them off, but who knows if they have that power)

-the *control room* has nine buttons, with the bishops’ names on them. the control room.

it kinda seems like sacarver (sally) is the one that wants to escape more, while lisden (dan) is the one thats either buying into dema more or is hiding his will to escape better. also, the bishops were getting more and more beat up every time, and sacarver/sally’s makeup was getting more, uh, conspicuous?

first commercial (completely normal looking, unless you count their fake smiles):

third commercial (notice the, uh...everything (yellow eyes, more blood, sally’s makeup and hair, etc):

second edit: the songs they played at the end were pretty interesting. after the livestream, they played instrumental versions of some of their songs. two of the songs they played were the hype and we don't believe what’s on tv. wdbwotv is pretty self-explanatory, and the hype has the lyric “just don’t believe the hype” repeated several times in it. they both have the “don’t believe” theme going on, which i think is a pretty big coincidence. honestly, i could be reading too far into it (especially since i hooked up my computer to my tv and watched the livestream on my tv), but i dont think that the similar meanings of the song are an accident.

they also played the song doubt, which has the lyric “gnawing on the bishops” (thanks to @myrebelred for pointing that out)

third edit: @isdreamingfree pointed out that josh didn’t do a backflip during the livestream.

in the q&a, they specifically said that he would, and then they didnt. they also didnt do the deathdrop (that thing tyler does where he just kinda falls backwards), and they didnt end the concert with trees like they normally do (instead, it was a little more than halfway in).

fourth edit: during lane boy, tyler keeps repeating "dont trust a perfect person and dont trust a song thats flawless”. maybe thats nothing special on its own, but a) the livestream seemed way too perfect/smooth (at least to me) (although it was done live) and b) sally/sacarver, one of the people trying to market the album, mentioned during one of the commercials (i believe it was the last one) how “perfect” the collection was

which reminds me, why do they call it a collection instead of an album??

fifth edit: in the beginning when it shows the twenty one pilots livestream intro while he’s singing choker it says who the stream is presented by, but on the other side it says “controlled by: DMA ORG and Good Day Dema”

sixth edit: i (crow) have made a list of all my observations of stuff that happened during the livestream, its a lot longer than this but like half of it is pictures lol. it took me forever, so id appreciate if you took a look at it!
