Bet that the one time Vox actually tried to hypnotize Alastor in their past was the closest he ever got to it working on him too. Alastor thought they were friends, Vox had earned that right to be as close to him as he was, he Trusted Vox.

He got to see exactly one second of Alastor's eyes glazing over and the ring effect starting before his vision fractured and he was on the floor. Alastor is standing over him in so much rage that he can't even speak, before he sinks into the floor and runs away. And Vox cannot grasp, cannot accept how things went so wrong. He thinks it's Alastor's fault for Not Trusting Him and running away like a Coward. Logging those immediate impressions as gospel thereafter.

"If only he'd Listened to him." Vox thinks about himself, but attributes to Alastor.

I really need to properly write out Alastor and Vox's backstory, because

(It's vague enough that I think you could probably read this poem without receiving the major spoilers for what is currently all of @imaginethat0327's fic Rescue Fire, but just in case, read chapters 1-33 for me! As a treat! Definitely won't screw you up in a major way /pos)

Let me caveat by saying that (a) I haven’t seen the movie MBFW (and I know the fic doesn’t follow it) and (b) I’m a total fan girl for your writing. And now the ask: In MBFW, does anyone call Lexa out for being so selfish? She breaks up with Clarke, pulls the I don’t want you but no one else can have you jealousy b.s. when they’re out together, but still pulls in girls (hopefully not in front of Clarke - that’s just cruel), and then when Clarke finds someone to marry that’s when Lexa come forward.

I’m sure that you’re not writing it that way - I know it’s a romcom with angst, but when I stop to think about it, but when I stop to think about it, holy crap, Lexa, that’s just astoundingly selfish.

Clarke does! 😂😂😂 In depth

I don't wanna spoil the whole thing but yeah, when Clarke finally blows her top believe me, Lexa very much has 9 years worth of resentment and, honestly justified, anger coming her way.

But I also have to tack on that I think as the story progresses you'll see a lot more of the reasons why Lexa's made the decisions that she had. I'm not saying they're great decisions, or that there weren't better ways to have handled it all, but hindsight is 20/20 and she's fundamentally a flawed person (like we all are), and she genuinely thought she was making the best choices for everyone at the time. It's hard to see it that way rn I know, but in Lexa's mind there were reasons for the things she's done.

Also, I feel like this isn't much of a spoiler so, Lexa never hooked up with anyone while Clarke was around. Did Lexa like how possessive and handsy and territorial Clarke got whenever they were out together and someone showed interest, yes. Did she ever actually do anything to strictly warrant it? No. Did she secretly enjoy knowing that even after everything Clarke still wanted her above everyone? Yes, very much 👀 When they're together, their entire focus is on each other. Clarke warned Finn about it, Raven's said it, Lexa's said, Anya will painfully learn it when she shows up. It's just how they are. So it was never a situation of Lexa parading around girls in front of Clarke. She just quietly hooked up with a few here and there over the years on nights Clarke was busy or otherwise preoccupied. But it was college and also Raven has big fucking mouth so, sometimes it got back to Clarke despite Lexa honestly being discreet about it. And after college, Clarke really only ever found out about anyone if she asked. But Lexa never went and like talked to Clarke about anyone or brought them around or anything like that.

Except Costia. But that's a whole other can of worms that Lexa's not proud of after the fact and will be addressed

Anyway your criticism is more than fair and I'm honestly glad she's coming off this way. She is meant to be flawed in this and despite me guaranteeing a Clexa happy ending, I want you guys to question Lexa on these choices along the way. We look at Finn as a douche (again, his character will also develop more), but when you stop and really think about it, Lexa hasn't always been an angel either. She's hurt Clarke and been clueless and seemingly sometimes selfish, so really who is best for Clarke? Does Lexa even deserve a second chance? Will Clarke eventually just strangle them both and run off with the caterer? Remains to be seen 😌

13: Who’s the bigger tease?

Ok, so I notice my answers about these two are a lot like... they're equal on a lot of levels. They just really match each other well, I think, in that they kinda look like each other, partly because they've been together for so long and grew up together?

But, to answer this question, I think they both like to tease, but Penguin is the bigger tease. Shachi is slightly more to the point, I think. But when the two of them gang up together to tease someone else... oooh they are the biggest tease you can imagine.

17: Who's more likely to pull the other in by the waist and kiss them passionately?

Shachi. I think Shachi has less restraint in that.

59: Who tops? Who bottoms?

I get your feelings of not seeing Penguin top anyone. I don't 100% agree. However, I do see Penguin as the biggest bottom ever 😂 in all the fanfics I've written, no one enjoys being a bottom so much as Penguin. That said, I can see Shachi as a bottom too, or at least a verse (bottom verse, probably). So, with these two, I'd say they change positions. There's not one who always bottoms or tops, even if Penguin probably bottoms more. Penguin probably bottoms about 70% of the time, giving the other 30% to Shachi.

That said, I want to say that I can totally see Penguin top Law as well. (not too often, but every now and then...)
