Remy’s mind reeled.

“We’re animagi!” Lily explained excitedly. Which answered two of Remy’s questions but not the burning third.

“Why?” Remy asked, as the word animagi turned over in her head. She didn’t know all the details of what it took to become one, but she did know it was complicated, and dangerous, and for that matter highly illegal. “Why would you do that?”

“For you, dummy,” Mary said. “So you don’t have to be alone on full moons.”
