they exchanged a look then continued the choreo, so jeno shoved haechan off the chair while jaemin pulled hannah onto his lap, acting like a straight jacket

(then moments later spoiling choreo again while dancing to chewing gum until renjun shoved them both away)

Mbti & Astro Observations (5)

They're my personal observations, so take it with a grain of salt.

🪐 Saturn in the 1st house may have an awkward body or the way they lay, sit, stand, walk, etc. is awkward. It's hard for them to relax their body. Their firm body reminds me of a group of soldiers marching in the military.

🦂 Scorpio Moons like to show their expressions as if they're subtly unhinged. You may find their expressions strange and be confused if they're bad or normal by their expressions. But you're attracted to them because anything unknown unconsciously draw people in.

🌑 Pluto influence may make someone have a strong jaw. Or they may look like they hold their anger in like they hold their teeth tightly when someone upset them makes the end of their lips downwards. I think they do feel like that commonly. I associate Pluto with Ni and Fi. I found some dominant Fi users have this feature.

deceptive are his eyes, his smile — everything about his body language and the way he formulates his words. charming and so sickeningly-sweet, his kindness and comforting touch is so convincing. there isn’t one thing about him that’d strike anyone as a man with grim intentions and ulterior-motives. . . unless they are a mutant finding themself spread out on his examination table. even so, he keeps his kind face, the caring and comforting facade, while cooing at them. his whole aura is eerie, even when he is experimenting, it is unclear what his true intentions are. should people begin to grow concerned with him he would be quick to shut them down with his silver-tongued reassurances and his charisma. he barely needs to lift a finger when it comes to convincing others that he is but a friendly businessmen that charms those around him effortlessly.he enjoys playing mind-games on people, allowing them to see him and then bring them back into trusting him. his quick wit and intelligence are great weapon of his — giving him so many more advantages in his morally evil deeds. when you run a city you must have the brains to do it, no? while conniving and incredibly cunning, his cool confidence exudes off of him — everything always seems so effortless and elegant when it comes to him. he is certain that his actions are for the betterment of humanity and dwells in his self-righteousness beyond measure. rishen believes that this is the true path to a greater, more orderly world and he stays stubborn in his opinions, as much as he is stubborn with his work and himself. this can lead to him overworking, spending hours in his lab, day and night without putting much care for himself on the line. instead he puts work in front of him as one of his number one priorities. while he appears serene he is can be quite temperamental, yet displays his anger and bitterness in a scarily calm way with a charming smile and smooth words in spite of his horrific actions. should you ever be so unlucky to be one of those that his eyes find they like looking at, be prepared for his obsessive and possessive behaviour, he is indulgent. he will do whatever it takes to get what he wants. . . and he always gets what he wants.

rishen's childhood was nothing of the normal, his father was a scientist who experimented and tortured many other mutants of their world. at the young age of seven, his father began experimenting on him. his father was obsessed with the idea of creating something similar to the spider-man of their world. this led to endless experiments that broke rishen’s mind at a young age. while he did not succeed, he gave rishen monstrous abilities and a lack of control, leaving him unstable. rishen loses his mother, who had earlier lost her mind due to the treatment of her husband — something that rishen hates his father for. at the age of seventeen, mutants escaped the lab and caused havoc, resulting in his father being severely wounded and in his lab, toxic fumes brimming the room. rishen rushes to the lab to finds his father immobilised and demanding for help. however, instead of saving him — rishen locks the lab doors and watches as father eventually died, all while rishen barely gave any sort of reaction. he makes up a lie for the press and law officials. from that day, rishen inherited the scientific megacompany that his father ran, alchemax, and vows to ‘dedicate his life to complete his father’s work.’ throughout his highschool career, rishen befriended zhao jingyi. this morphed into an obsessive love in university and eventually a romantic relationship. after graduating, rishen works fulltime as alchemax’s ceo with jingyi as his co-chairmen. rishen puts on the front of a kind and polite businessman, yet he is anything but that. he spends his days kidnapping and experimenting on mutants trying to decipher their x-gene so that he can not only find a way to control mutants but also find a cure for his mutation.

that charming personality does not fade with a lover, rishen is often quite flirty and all sorts of teasing with his beloved. one of his favourite pass-times is seeing you flustered, all so that he can snatch you by the waist, pull you closer and tease you even further — mumbling about how cute you are with that blush over your features. his affection is mainly displayed in a physical manner. he simply cannot keep his hands, and more especially, his lips off of you, resulting in kisses scattered all over your face, neck, hands — anything that you will allow and that he can worship, he will. another form of his affection is through gifts. he adores spoiling you with a wide variety of whatever it is you either need or want. always bringing home new clothes and accessories for you to try, some in his colours, of course. he is also very verbal in his love for you and shameless in every way; his tongue holds no filter. should he wish to express what he is feeling towards you, he shall. late night dances in his office, bringing you coffees or teas through the day, and finding you in the middle of the day simply to pour his affection out on you. he is a very passionate and dedicated lover — however, there is a darker side to it. rishen grows obsessive and quite possessive, his nature that of a yandere. he takes it to the extremes, getting rid of those that he thinks are not only a threat to you but your relationship with him. should someone merely look at you in a way he deems wrong, it is their funeral. do not fight him on this, he’ll lock you away for his eyes only; simply. . . behave, and he will be the kindest, most adoring lover.

˖ ࣪ ଓ metabolism: has an extremely fast metabolism that requires him eating *a lot* through the day. if he does not eat for long periods of time, he can either get very weak or become terribly erratic, and will immediately switch to the mindset that is: “i need something to eat and i will eat anything.”

˖ ࣪ ଓ abandonment issues: he suffers from horrible abandonment issues, which can cause him to get erratic and panicked whenever someone he loves does leave him on purpose after arguments, tiffs, etc. he cannot stay without his beloved for too long without getting irritable or sour.

˖ ࣪ ଓ heart condition: suffers from a heart condition that requires him taking medication in order to make sure his heart stays stable.

Oh thats interesting I always thought their types fit them well, but ofc I ve only done some brief reading about it.

What would you type them as, now I am curious👀?

To be fair, had I not gone through a phase, and I just knew MBTI from like, 16 personalities or something, I would probably think the same! However, I unfortunately went through a phase, and learned about cognitive functions and stuff, so given that, I disagree with their typings.

Also, contrary to popular belief, typing characters is subjective, because we each interpret characters differently. So you are welcome to disagree with my typings, in fact a lot of you probably will.

Now to start:

Elsa

Elsa, I think is a little hard to place, because of her isolation in the first movie, but between both movies, I think she is definitely an ISTJ, especially after taking cognitive functions into account.

Now, people are often hesitant in typing Elsa as ISTJ, because of the stereotypes associated with it- that they’re unemotional, stone cold etc. Which is simply not true- ISTJs are some of the sweetest people I’ve ever met.

But again, as far as cognitive functions go, Elsa fits ISTJ much better than she fits INFJ- even when it comes to the weaker functions.

First, an introductory to intuitive and sensing cognitive functions:

Ni (Introverted Intuition): Zooms in on one idea

Ne (Extroverted Intuition): Focuses on many ideas.

Si (Introverted Sensation): evaluates experience against curated memories.

Se (Extroverted Sensing): Focuses on experience as it unfolds

These are very watered down definitions, but I am tried to avoid giving you a crash course on cognitive functions and how they work because this is already going to be a very long post.

INFJs strongest functions are Ni & Fe, which in my opinion… she is lacking in both, especially Fe (we will get into thinking and feeling functions in a moment).

I do think a case could be made for her being Ni, and I can also see her being an INTJ. However, I think as far as decisions she’s made, she looks to the past or present to make decisions, rather than the abstract or future.

Even at Elsa’s healthiest, the unknown excites her, but she is very hesitant in leaving behind what she knows. I always interpreted Into the Unknown as her dominant Si and inferior Ne conflicting with each other.

She never exactly zooms into one idea. When she is able to use her intuition freely, she is open to many possibilities, and is influenced by the past. Throughout her journey, in both movies, she is constantly equating current events to things that happened to her in the past.

So that is why I personally see her as Si vs Ni.

Now onto feeling and thinking portion:

Fi (Introverted Feeling): Prioritizes individual values / emotions

Fe (Extroverted Feeling): Prioritizes group values / emotions

Ti (Introverted Thinking): Subjective logic.

Te (Extroverted Thinking): Objective logic

Now, a case could also be made for Elsa having Ti somewhere in her stack. However, again, the logic she follows, whether flawed or not, has been presented to her from an outside source. Elsa has no subjective opinion when it comes to her logic, she goes by what she is told.

As for Fe vs Fi, I do think she has no Fe whatsoever, but I do understand where people are coming from when they say she does. Because again, the way anything online, even the definition I gave, a lot of people misinterpret it into meaning:

Fi is selfish and Fe is selfless, and that is not even close to being the case.

Fi users can be selfless if they have selfless personal values and Fe users can be selfish if group values are generally selfish… if that makes sense.

The thing however, is that everything we see of Elsa, every decision she makes can be traced back to personal values. The act of isolating herself from her sister to protect them are selfless acts… but they also come from her valuing her sister and her kingdom. It never comes from the kingdom’s values.

Even in Frozen 2, her own personal desires and values are what drives her motivations. She often doesn’t take into account the fears of others when it comes to making her decisions.

Overall, I just don’t see her as having an Ni-Fe-Ti-Se (INFJ) stack. Si-Te-Fi-Ne just seems to fit her better.

Anna

Now, Anna I have a bit more of a controversial take. A lot of people don’t see her as ENFP, but most people who argue against that type argue for ESFP… but I really don’t see that either. At least not after Frozen 2.

No, her personality type for me, is ESFJ.

She isn’t a mind reader, she doesn’t always know how everyone is feeling, but her emotions are also directly impacted by everyone else’s emotions. Even when she does explore her own feelings, she almost always pushed them aside to understand others emotions.

In Frozen, her anger at Elsa is almost immediately dispersed when Elsa’s situation is revealed, then she focuses on Elsa’s. In Frozen 2, she does have her own fears, but she almost always acknowledges Elsa’s feelings before explaining her own emotions.

Not only that, Anna, just like Elsa, is also very hesitant to change, arguably more so. The only reason she is so eager for things to change in the first movie was because she was lonely.

Not only that, but her logic, especially in the first movie is very subjective, and based on things she has seen or noticed in the past. Her ideas of true love aren’t influenced by an objective source, from what we can see.

So I guess I can understand where the exfp type is coming from, but I personally don’t see it.

While in the surface my time on the internet allowed me to have easy access to novelty, it is still doing the same thing over and over again on a grander scale.

Meanwhile, I never managed to truly "fit in" at school, and after starting to make amends with my old friends at the end of sixth grade the pandemic happened, which pretty much meant that the only thing I'd be doing for two years was basically staring at screens all day. Once I returned back to school, I started feeling 'othered' again, and even as I found out it was partially over my own immaturity, I still feel like I will not actually become part of the group right now, that I should just grind it out until it ends, that college, due to the new environment and size will be the time I'll truly begin to shine - further proven by how excited I was when I went to one of the unis I was considering's open day recently.

Meanwhile, my ISTJ mother won't stop comparing me negatively to my brother and on how he was so similar to her in personality compared to me, always implying that I turned out "off" in some way or another, even if she's usually well-meaning.

Thoughts?

I don't guess at type. You've only speculated about one possible function, which is nowhere near enough info to draw any kind of sound conclusion. I generally won't comment on type assessment unless people follow the instructions on the contact page to submit a proper profile of themselves. In short, I won't have any "thoughts" if you don't give me enough to analyze.

You've basically described typical adolescent adjustment issues that anyone of any type can suffer. It is not uncommon for teens to have trouble fitting in. Why? Because they are still in the process of learning good social skills. When you're at the "beginner" level of learning anything, your ideas tend to be very primitive or crude. Thus, from the teenage perspective, socializing often boils down to the idea of "approval", which is taken to mean EITHER be like everyone else OR be an outsider.

Either/or thinking is a form of illogical thinking that creates a false dichotomy, essentially reducing your world to only two possibilities. You said that not being able to find your group right now, maybe it would be better to just leave it until college - once again, your world only has two possibilities. This kind of oversimplified thinking is normal in children and teens, but it is considered a sign of cognitive immaturity in adults (as their thinking hasn't evolved since adolescence). It's not something for you to be concerned about but, rather, something to be aware of and gradually improved upon.

When compared to full-formed adults, young people (<25) are limited in several ways:

They lack life experience, so they haven't had enough time to learn all the knowledge and skills they need to live life well.

They lack cognitive resources to understand complexity because the brain hasn't reached physical maturity yet.

They lack emotional resources to cope with difficulty because the brain is still feeling the effects of changes that began in puberty.

They might also lack confidence due to too many environmental factors being out of their control.

They might also lack direction due to not having access to enough learning resources they need for self-development.

They might also lack purpose due to not having enough access to positive role models, guides, or mentors to help them see the bigger picture of life.

I mention these things not to make teens feel shamed and ashamed for what they naturally lack, but to make them aware of where their potential lies. Your "weaknesses" are just as important for realizing your greater human potential as your "strengths". Weaknesses make plenty of room for learning, development, change, growth, evolution, and transformation... BUT this is assuming you know how to confront weaknesses in the right way. So, reflect: How have you responded to your weaknesses, as signaled through your mistakes and failures?

How do you respond to lack of life experience? Do you keep it that way by locking yourself away? Do you waste your time with trivial experiences? Do you seek out meaningful learning experiences?

How do you respond to lack of cognitive resources for understanding complexity? Do you just reduce everything into oversimplistic ideas? Do you avoid complex situations? Do you study them to grow your understanding? Do you get help for understanding them?

How do you respond to lack of emotional resources for handling difficulty? Do you numb yourself? Do you run or escape from negative feelings? Do you seek appropriate help and support? Do you set out to learn healthy coping skills and strategies?

How do you respond to lack of confidence? Do you shit-talk yourself more and more? Do you write off your future? Do you assert more independence? Do you take more control whenever possible? Do you improve your knowledge, skills, and capabilities?

How do you respond to lack of direction? Do you give up on yourself? Do you resign yourself to the status quo? Do you learn how to make better decisions for yourself? Do you learn how to set and achieve more fulfilling goals?

How do you respond to lack of purpose? Do you settle for less? Do you resign yourself to being small? Do you ignore existential pain? Do you seek answers? Do you set higher aspirations? Do you commit yourself to greater ideals?

Adjustment issues are very likely to get expressed through auxiliary development problems. Since you're unsure about your type, the most I can say is that healthy Ti encourages people to 1) analyze and learn from mistakes/failures, and 2) identify and acquire the knowledge/skills required to eventually succeed. If your response to failure is dismissal, evasion, withdrawal, or avoidance, it means you are choosing to get stuck at a low level of competency indefinitely.

If you are able to get past the beginner level in socializing, you'll start to realize the false dichotomy and how self-sabotaging it really is. Socializing is much more nuanced and complex than "insider vs outsider", and there are more options available than "conform vs rebel". This raises the question of what other options are available to you - it is a question for your Ne to answer.

Yes, it's true that you can't be friends with everyone. But you don't need to be friends with everyone, do you? You only need a handful of close friends who understand you in order to have a satisfying social life. They don't have to come from school or the usual places. They can come through other activities. They can come from all demographics or backgrounds.

Growing up in a small environment puts you in danger of thinking too small all the time. The key is you have to recognize that the world is a big place, so you have to start putting yourself out there to find the friends of best fit. The more people you meet, the more you increase your odds of success. Whether you try now or later isn't the right point to focus on. You're not going to find what you're looking for as long as: you don't actually get up to look, you have absolutely no system or plan for proceeding, and/or you don't have the skills to keep relationships even when you do find good people. You need real-life social experience if you want to improve your social skills. The sooner you get started, the better. It's unrealistic to think that you'll magically be great at relationships just because you started college.

I know options can be limited at your age but 16 is generally the age when teens really start to venture out into the world on their own (without parents/guardians). In many places, you can drive and work at 16. You can start exploring places you've never been to around town. You can join more extracurricular activities/clubs that would put you in contact with people beyond your school. I shouldn't have to tell an ENTP to go out and explore, as you should simply follow your natural Ne motivation. If that motivation is absolutely nowhere to be found, then perhaps reconsider your type.

🎃 trick or treat! with the rfa and gojo 🎃

Jumin:

What an intriguing cat lover. While he may seem quite prim and proper, considering he is almost a textbook ISTJ in MBTI (ignoring his cat adorations), it seems quite unlikely that Jumin has yet to celebrate Halloween.

This is exactly why Gojo is here to help break Jumin out of his reclusive shell! At first, it was cat ears, and then it was a cat tail before it ended up being an entire cat costume!

Gojo, who dressed up as a cat, made Jumin immediately fall in love with the concept of Halloween

In fact, he decided to make his company throw a cat-themed Halloween event just for this

Cat-themed haunted house, cat-themed candy products, cats in the building (for once!) It was all thanks to Gojo’s kitty scheme that the two were finally able to Trick and Treat together

This allowed Gojo and Jumin to celebrate Jumin’s first Halloween together, as the two went trick or treating across various company buildings that Jumin is affiliated with

As Jumin still didn’t understand the rules of Halloween, after he would receive candy from the poor office workers working overtime on this spooky night, Jumin would instead pay them with a hefty stack of cash (meaning that they would have no complaints on this Halloween)

Gojo dressed up as a white cat, while Jumin was dressed up as a vampire with cat ears. This was the closest Jumin could get to a cat cosplay without ruining his company’s image, which was to his dismay

Jumin would be sure to dress up as a cat next Halloween

PS. Elizabeth was also dressed up as a vampire. She had a designer cloak on designed by the most expensive designer

Zen, 707, and Yoosung:

It was 707 and Zen who arranged to meet with Yoosung. The poor college student was heavily overwhelmed with schoolwork, which meant the best way to escape from school was to go trick-or-treating!

Of course, Yoosung was initially opposed to this, as LOLOL had a limited-edition Halloween event going on! But 707’s bribery with the rare Honey Buddha Chips allowed Yoosung to miss out on the LOLOL event happily

Zen himself had finished a Halloween musical earlier in the day, which meant he was incredibly happy to extend his energy (and to just brag about his musical performance)

Yoosung and Zen decided to match costumes, as they both dressed up as werewolves (well in Yoosung’s case it was more like a puppy…)

On the other hand, 707 dressed up as Elly, which was much to Zen’s dismay. This already caused him to sneeze out loud

Zen’s sneezing instantly escalated the second 707 decided to go to C&R’s Haunted House. There, the trio ran into Gojo and Jumin (which meant instant coughs! ugh….) who were both cat-adjacent

In fact, Gojo and 707 had the exact SAME cat costume, much to each other's dismay.

Gojo and 707 kept bickering, while Jumin and Zen also decided to have an argument of their own

“Of course a rich kid like you would do this… ACHOO…!” Zen would attempt to argue, but the cat-themed building (and Gojo and 707 + Jumin’s costumes) was enough to make Zen convince himself that there were real cats in the building

It was then that the five decided to explore the haunted house to see. Gojo and 707 decided to bet who would be the first to get scared

And to no one’s surprise, it was Yoosung who was the first to want to go home

Jaehee:

Jaehee, by sheer luck, had a “day off”. This was her well-deserved break before her real “trick” began

As a “treat” for herself, Jaehee miraculously managed to secure tickets to Zen’s Halloween musical. It was the best treat anyone could ever ask for

In fact, she even managed to secure a signed Halloween Zen poster, which made her fan heart overjoyed

This happy event was soon shattered as she was called in for the C&R Halloween event, one that she had strongly argued against working for

What a trick! But of course, Jaehee, as an employee of C&R International, was forced to wear cat ears to celebrate the event

“We match, nya~!” Jaehee was greeted by 707 just after the RFA + Gojo managed to finish the Haunted House event

“Jaeheeeeeeee! That was so scary T__T” Yoosung cried out to her, which led to her sighing

But of course, this was simply another work day for her, no matter how late the shift was

Lucky for Jaehee, she would also be one of the many workers to receive a hefty bonus on this meowy Halloween

Gojo:

He got here by accident after a Halloween-themed domain expansion was activated

Since Gojo is clearly the strongest, he could definitely kill a few extra minutes in this domain

Plus, it definitely didn't hurt to have a good time with the RFA along the way, right?

Otto (pre-orb) and Cider circa the late 80s/early 90s? I haven't put together a timeline. Someone get this man a hairbrush please. Mm I am annoyed because Otto is my favorite character (along with Cider) and I cannot draw him in orb form to save my life. Why is he so difficult to draw. This whole concept was funnier in my head.. oh well

Okay it's MBTI time. I go from fandom to fandom finding the weird scientist characters and then I observe them with my little autistic eyeballs. The fact that both Cider (ESTJ) and Otto (INTJ) are high Te makes me (also high Te) very happi because usually scientist characters end up being high Ti. Cider especially because I often find xSTJ science-related characters to be unlikeable and he is decidedly not. I am an ESTJ-adjacent creature and I must scream

One day I might make a post with an in-depth analysis of each character's cognitive functions because every fandom needs a typology nerd that everyone else politely ignores but that'll have to wait until I can actually figure out everyone's stacks in full.

Also obligatory PSA: if you want to take an MBTI test that has a pretty good likelihood of typing you correctly, the best one out there imo is Mistype Investigator, or Jung's Igloo if you want results that are easier to read. 16Personalities is not actually MBTI (Neris is closer to Big 5), and Sakinorva and Keys2Cognition both tend to overestimate Ne so probably avoid them. MBTI is not real science but it's fun to apply to fictional characters, just don't take it too seriously. I feel the need to say all of this because I've had problems in the past where this information would have been useful to have, maybe it'll help someone else. Idk

I've been bingewatching That 90s Show and, while I know you're not into T90sS, I DO know that you share my love for MBTI :) So I'm hoping I can beg you to type the characters --MBTI and maybe I'll be greedy by asking for enneagram as well?! I know we don't know them well yet, but that's kind of part of the fun of trying to type them! I definitely see Jay as an ESTP (not ESFP) and 7w8 while for me Leia is an INFP and 6w7. I know people say Leia's personality is a combination of Donna and Eric's, but I see her as vastly more similar to Eric---the only ways in which she reminds me more of Donna is that she likes shooting baskets and has a slight rebellious/adventure-seeking streak more often found in Donna than Eric...? Anyway, I would love to read your thoughts but understand if you dislike the show too much to answer!

Hmm...I can't say I've seen enough of the show to say (the first ep, various clips, gifs on Tumblr, and general discourse), but lemme try.

Leia has ISFJ vibes, like Eric did in season 1. Let's see if she evolves more into an INFP like Eric or stays the same. 6w7 or 6w5 would work.

Jay seems to be an XSFP, to me. He definitely has Fi somewhere in his stack. 7w6 seems applicable.

Nikki seems to be a more subdued Jackie, and she bonded well with Red, so ISTJ fits. And 8w9, maybe? I have no idea.

Gwen is the definition of an ESTP, 7w8.

Nate is an ESFX, 7w6. He's the worst Kelso caricature of the bunch.

And Ozzie is an ENTJ, 3w4. He's there to be gay and sassy, which pisses me off.

heeseung is very creative, he knows how to make a situation turn around and knows how to pull out something completely unexpected. that is definitely a trait for a poison type pokemon. he also seems to be very hard headed, he is confident but sometimes it is too much, so he may be a poison-dragon type!

by process of elimination, heeseung is totally eternatus! not to mention, his moves would definitely be very unpredictable and dangerous. since eternatus is an alien that can make holes in spacetime, this is pretty fitting!

ace of swords, the hermit, nine of wands rx., the hanged man

jay is a very intelligent and secure person, he is extremely mature and seems to balance his head and his heart well. jay is also in tune with the world around him and seems to be able to connect with people very easily. which i think it very fitting for a psychic pokemon! it also seems that jay as a pokemon is extremely protective.

deoxys is a great fit given these conditions. deoxys is incredibly smart, being able to change form depending on what it needs. a lot of jay's moves could be something underneath the surface, which fits deoxys' telepathy shown in the anime!

queen of swords, ten of cups, knight of pentacles rx., the high priestess

jake is someone who cannot be held down, he is independent and jumps towards change and his own rules. suffice to say, he may be a little, if not a lot, mischevious. since i also got the emperor he is most likely only darkness, there is no need for him to have another type if he is already strong with one.

the only legendary pokemon that is strictly dark is darkrai! as i mentioned before, there really is no need for darkrai, or jake in this scenario, to have a dual type if he is already strong with one. darkrai is frequently described as the strongest dark type pokemon.

the wheel of fortune, the fool, the emperor

sunghoon is very stubborn about tradition, most of his decisions are based on his past and romanticizing the past. from this i believe that sunghoon would most likely be a dragon type. he would most likely be a dual type dragon-steel, as he can be resilient to what does not align with his beliefs, it can seem lik denial.

the only dragon-steel legendary is dialga, a member of the creation trio. dialga is very strong, being able to control time which fits nicely if sunghoon is heavily influenced by time related themes such as the past, present, and future.

six of cups rx., three of swords

sunoo is very hasty, it feel impatient but he seems to think or at least have a good idea about what is happening. sunoo also seems to be someone who moves very fast, but still, it seems to work out for him in the end. this best suits a water type pokemon. as for dual types, he most likely does not have one.

unlike the other members, there are a few pokemon that meet these conditions. to narrow it down, the background behind sunoo as a pokemon has something to do with fresh beginnings after a painful end. based on this suicune is the best option, since it is said to purify water!

page of wands rx., eight of pentacles rx., six of wands, nine of wands rx.

jungwon seems to be someone who is very determined to work and fight towards what he thinks is right, he works for his own morals. he is also very aggressive when he does want something. his main type would probably be fighting. he can also seem to be a little stagnant and not want to change or back down, so his other type could be steel.

although zamazenta also meets these conditions, cobalion is described to radiate the airs of a leader and it is also categorized as an iron will pokemon. therefore, jungwon is most similar to cobalion.

judgement, eight of cups, death rx.

the way niki speaks may be a little dark, in a playful way. not to mean he is automatically a dark type, but it can be very sarcastic. he is a very intense and smart person, he follow his own ideas even if it can seem off-putting to some people. overall, he is independent without any shame. without a doubt niki is a ghost type, he can also be a dragon type since he trusts himself very well.

this automatically narrows niki down as giratina. similar to dialga, giratina is also another member of the creation trio. giratina lives in distortion world, somewhere that is foreign and warps everything we may commonly know. giratina also can control antimatter.

An in-depth analysis of an idol's MBTI type. Based on my opinion and observations, may change later. Not an expert.

ESFP (Se - Fi - Te - Ni)

Dom: Se (Extroverted Sensing)

A perceiving function that uses our 5 senses to process the external world.

Wooyoung is always aware of the present moment, quick to react and to take action. He also pays attention to physical things such as aesthetics, the visuals of the performance, the way he looks, etc physical appearances matter a lot to him.

He enjoys photography and videography, which are pretty good activities for Se - it allows him to use his senses to make visually stimulating images and videos. Physically engaging activities seem like the best way to energize him e.g cooking and riding a bike. Cooking is great for his Se as it engages with all his senses - all the movement in cooking, tasting the foods, the aromas, watching the food cook, plating, maybe he enjoys hearing the sounds of food cooking as well and/or the way kitchen tools slightly hit each other (e.g knife on a cutting board).

This moment especially was an incredibly Se dom moment. Comparing it to Si user Jongho (Si has to step back and assess first), being the Se dom he is, Woo just went for it.

Aux: Fi (Introverted Feeling)

A judging function that uses one's own values and belief to compare and make choices

As Fi wants to be authentic, that is what Wooyoung always strives for - he always wants to express himself well, to be real. He wants people to like him for him. He returns the same gesture with others - he wants to know the real version of others. Wooyoung tries not to make assumptions at first meet since he knows he will not learn everything just from one encounter. He seems very empathetic.

Tert: Te (Extroverted Thinking)

A judging function that uses established facts and systems to make objective, working decisions.

He's quite goal oriented and takes time to plan to achieve these goals, even if it's not the most detailed. Either way, he knows how to get what he wants and works hard to reach his achievements.

Wooyoung lays down the rules as well - Te can be by the book, which Wooyoung can be sometimes. E.g when he was explaining how he found it rude when juniors would not put in the effort to correctly bow down to him and other senior artists. Wooyoung has a strong belief in being humble and kind (Fi) and wants to implement this in everyone.

Inf: Ni (Introverted Intuition)

A perceiving function that uses one's own personal insights and ideas

In his episode of "Fill in the Blank" series, Wooyoung said he wanted to use dance to convey deeper messages and emotions for others. He wants to be a sense of comfort, the light in other's darkness. He has always wanted to make an impact on others from a young age, especially considering how much he values relationships.

Why is he not an xSFJ or ISTJ

Both types use Si - Ne, which I do not see in Wooyoung at all...xSFJ's Fe is understandable, but Wooyoung is sometimes a bit too straightforward and honest to be using Fe in his main stack though lol.

And ISTJ just does not make sense in general for him.

You have no idea how excited I am about this ask. :D

According to PDB.com, the public consensus on IDW Tarn’s MBTI type is INTJ.

Personally, I believe Tarn is an ISTJ.

I’m not up for explaining both types’ entire function stacks since it would require me to write about typology theory as a whole, but I think I can manage to give a readable explanation.

Quick Overview of the Functions

The dominant functions for the two types are:

INTJ: Introverted iNtuition (Ni) - also shared by the INFJ

ISTJ: Introverted Sensing (Si) - also shared by the ISFJ

Now, functions come in opposing pairs:

Ni is always paired with Se (Extraverted Sensing)

Si is always paired with Ne (Extraverted iNtuition)

For the INxJ, Ni is the Dominant while Se is the Inferior.

For the ISxJ, Si is the Dominant, and Ne is the Inferior.

Ni-Se vs. Si-Ne

The Ni-Se user (INTJ or INFJ) holds to an abstract future they’ve crafted/decided on (Ni) at the cost of living in and being aware of the present (Se).

The Si-Ne user (ISTJ or ISFJ) holds to the concrete present they’ve chosen at the cost of opening themselves up to future possibilities (Ne).

None of these types do well with chaos or change, but for different reasons.

The INxJ feels threatened by present, concrete chaos (Se) that can derail their vision or how they think things will/should be in the abstract future (Ni).

The ISxJ feels threatened by chaotic future options/possibilities (Ne) that can disrupt their current, concrete idea of comfort and security (Si).

So, an INTJ will want to disrupt the way things are to reach their idea of a perfect future, and they will be highly aware of the most likely future implications of their present choices.

An ISTJ will want to work very hard to keep things the way they are, and they won’t be as aware of the future abstract implications of their actions.

Character Comparisons

IDW Prowl is an excellent, but horribly unhealthy example of an INTJ. I don’t think I need to explain how I came to that conclusion. lol

Meanwhile, Tarn is obsessed with keeping things the way they’ve been. Either type can have a goal, but for Tarn, his identity revolves around maintaining his concrete sense of security—a position of power, a significant place in The Cause(TM), etc.

Prowl can’t help but see the future implications of his and everyone else’s actions; he’s convinced himself he can get the present chaos to align with his future vision of how things should be.

But Tarn? He avoids looking at the future implications; he’s convinced himself he can avoid the potential chaos of the future by doubling down on maintaining his current place in the world.

That’s why I believe Tarn is an ISTJ.

BILL SCULLY, Junior and Senior (and Charlie?)

Bill Scully, Jr. and Sr., were interesting to dig into. Usually in meta conversations, Captain Scully is exacting, harsh, or insensitively exacting of his children while Bill Jr. is groomed to become "the man of the house" and becomes an arrogant bully instead. Both of them are a little more nuanced than that. More interesting than that, though, is how different the two of them are from each other: while father and son do share characteristics, they both have more in common with Dana Scully (post here) than each other.

Furthermore, Bill Scully the Younger One shocked the socks off of me by being an ISFJ-- the "motherly" Type rooted in tradition, faith, and servitude-style support. Which really shouldn't have, because all Types can be a pain; but it also explains why Scully had SO MUCH PATIENCE with him that she didn't have with Melissa.

(Spoiler: Charlie also pops in at the end, though I don't have enough data to type him.)

**Note**: This was written late, quick, and dirty-- there will be typos; but I'll drop in and edit them out later.

Bill Scully, Jr., the ISFJ

(**Disclaimers**: Bill is an unpleasant man; and there are plenty of ISFJs who are loving and adorable and don't, I don't know, pick fights with other people. I tried to paint him accurately here~.)

All Types have 8 main functions in their stack that explain in what orders their brain operate and process information.

The Hero Function: This function is the most effortless of the stack of eight, the “superhero” if you will. Introverted Sensing (Si for short) is focused on duty, responsibility, security, and tradition, meaning ISFJs uphold the values of the generations before them more comfortably than they do conforming to the new standards of the modern generation. They are drawn to military or service jobs, working in their communities and abroad to keep everyone safe.

ISFJs can become annoying if they constantly harp on doing things "the old way" or try to enforce their rules with authoritarian dictatorship (ex. turning off the wifi if others don't go to church.) BUT what's fascinating is that Bill's "overbearing" tendencies work perfectly for Maggie and Melissa-- both are SP types (see here and here), which are very "live in the moment" and less "think of the consequences that will have on our traditions." Both are important to have in mind; and Bill seems to get along great with his mother and has a picture of his sister that not even Scully had, so it would seem both women were on great terms with Bill the Second.

The Parent Function: The Parent Function serves as the pessimistic guide to checkmate the enthusiastic, optimistic Hero. Extroverted Feeling (Fe for short) is about ethics, reinforcing bonds, and accepting, including, and supporting others-- and it's Bill's salvation from himself. ISFJs use Fe to care for their families, going out of their way to meet their emotional needs and anticipate their wants or desires.

The problem begins with immaturity-- if these Types have not grown or developed as people, they expects others to conform to their rules in gratitude for their efforts. Unfortunately, Bill falls into this category: for as much as he tried to support his sister during her cancer and infertility, his mind would always loop back to her responsibilities to the family and to him.

THIS is the primary difference between ISTJ Scully and her ISFJ brother: he carefully walks through life with the responsibilities of his family on his back, willingly shouldering them and providing for others but expects them to pitch in as well. Scully is not emotionally vulnerable; and she spends her life sorting and solving systems rather than personal or familial problems. Bill interprets this distance as neglect and scolds her about duty and responsibility (especially to Mulder over her family.)

Another difference between Scully and Bill is how they communicate: ISTJ Scully communicates directly-- saying what she means and meaning what she says-- whereas ISFJ Bill would rather hem and haw and throw looks or hints rather than get into a head-on fight... unless thoroughly provoked. During the Gethsemane dinner, he let her go to Mulder while only telegraphing his frustration with his body language;

and in A Christmas Carol he kept nudging his sister to participate in family activities until he was finally fed up and asked her why she was avoiding them. Even when he was chastising her about Emily and Melissa, Bill's anger is intense but never aggressive while Scully is confrontational and ready to stand her ground and fight.

The Child Function: The most idealistic of the functions is also the function that is the most vulnerable to "abuse." Introverted Thinking (Ti for short) is deductive logic independent of others' output. ISFJs have a "miracle" for truth-- everything is simple for them, with a childlike ability to see past everyone's walls and lies to themselves and others and tell it like it is. When Bill confronted Scully about her cancer in Gethsemane, he saw through her facade and down into the core of why she avoided discussing her cancer: "You think you can cure yourself." Scully, discomfited that her brother had correctly stripped away her defenses and exposed her last, pitiful hope, turned the conversation into another avenue; but Bill was correct--

he'd only spent a handful of hours in her company and had seen into her soul in a way that not even Mulder had (because he cannot see past her walls, needing clear communication from her-- post here.) It's a powerful tool Bill used again during the Emily arc-- understanding that Scully was, indeed, afraid she was projecting her infertility griefs onto this little girl; and providing her "proof" that Melissa wasn't Emily's mother. (However, the situation fell apart rapidly after that; and Bill removed himself from the fight entirely when Mulder appeared and tried to set everything right-- though not without resentment at her partner.)

The Inferior Function: The 4th function where vanity, insecurity, and powerful, short-term excellence lies. Extroverted Intuition (Ne for short) deals with metaphysics and the future of humanity as a whole. ISFJs are afraid of the "what ifs", needing someone to stand with them shoulder-to-shoulder and take on the world. They want life to have concrete, identifiable boundaries; and, when life inevitably doesn't, ISFJs grow fearful and, without maturity, fall into toxic patterns (see Demon function section below.) ISTJ Scully shares this same Inferior Function; but while she has learned that their fear needs to be turned into faith to be conquered, Bill has yet to embrace that lesson. Instead, he views Mulder as the embodiment of change and unpredictability and takes his emotions and reactions out on him.

With mature reflection, perhaps he will think over his actions and realize the root cause of his issues isn't with others or how they've "ruined everything"-- it's with himself.

The Nemesis Function: The 5th function is where an ISFJ's worry lies. Extroverted Sensing (Se for short) is a hyper-focus on the "now", driving a Type to achieve their goals and give others good experiences. ISFJs worry constantly that they are offending someone with their behavior, appearance, or demeanor-- believe it or not-- and work hard to be well-groomed and inoffensive.

At the heart of their worry is rejection, which they fear; but as they mature, they realize their self-discipline has already garnered them quality relationships and the rest aren't worth the worry.

The Critical Function: The 6th function is the "grandfather"-- either a cynical old crank or a wiseman beyond his years. Introverted Feeling (Fi for short) is one's personal morals and values. ISFJs have INSANELY high standards-- for others and themselves-- that are impossible to uphold, resulting in them feeling like the absolute scum of the earth most of their life. They can checkmate this insanity by helping others recognize their own self-worth, which proves to themselves that they are valuable in at least ONE way.

It's an aspect of themselves that ISFJs will never shake, taking it with them like an albatross the rest of their lives. It's probably why Bill married Tara: her perkiness and constant emotional assurance in their love and relationship relaxed this inner nagging, giving him clear-headed reassurance that he was, at least, a good man to her.

It's probably why he also advocates so much for Maggie to Scully, as Scully's reticence often hurts Maggie; and Maggie's Fe Child goes out of its way to cater to and comfort her loved ones, including Bill.

The Trickster Function: The 7th function is the weakest of a Type’s eight functions. Thinking Extroverted (Te for short) is concerned about reputation, metrics, and rational, outside input. ISFJs don't care about the belief systems of others. More often than not, ISFJs don't realize they are coming across arrogantly, unaware that their Ti Child's honest comments sound like criticisms rather than just their thoughts and opinions. They are then hurt that others assumed the worst of them; and this reinforces their fear that they're a terrible person deep down.

However, if they are given incorrect data or incorrectly interpret their own anecdotal experiences, ISFJs will be spouting nonsense like it's the "gospel truth", wearing the Emperor's clothes without realizing it.

If Bill were to mature, he would realize that others have valuable and necessary information and lived experiences as well; and that life isn't just "one answer" that everyone should live by. Fortunately, he seems to let go of an issue when all of his methods have proven incorrect; so he's at least on the right track.

The Demon Function: The 8th function is the last and strongest of them all-- a Type's nuclear option, if you will. Introverted Intuition (Ni for short) is focused on personal destiny, willpower, and the path they choose to carve forward. ISFJs become high-chair tyrants if their needs aren't met or their comfort is disturbed, throwing toddler tantrums and focusing on outrageous and grandiose displays of displeasure (the prime example is a child kicking and screaming on the ground in a store because they couldn't get the toy they wanted.)

Ni Demon also becomes de-motivated to help others if their friends or loved ones don't take the time to appreciate or thank them for their efforts. ISFJs are in large part one of the backbones of society; and they work tirelessly to help others. Their focus and priorities are turned away when they realize their diehard loyalty either isn't reciprocated or is always expected of them; and they will become engrossed in their own wants and needs to the exclusion of others, torpedoing their efforts to become a beloved member of society. It's probably why he and Scully never seemed to talk as they aged-- he viewed his sister as ungrateful for his and Maggie's efforts, and stopped wasting energy trying to "help" her.

And now--

Bill Scully, Sr., The ESTJ

**Note**: Since I already went in depth above, I'm going to chop everything down and save myself some time! Each function's definitions from above (Ni is about willpower, for example) apply below; but I don't want to get bogged down repeating myself~.

ESTJs are traditionalists, which Bill Sr. shares in common with his children (ISFJ Bill and ISTJ Scully); but he communicates directly and wants to achieve status and reputation through academia and accolades, like his daughter.

The Hero Function: ESTJs' Te Hero exist to "oversee" how others are operating systems, pinpointing a malfunctioning problem and keeping a tight ship. They take great pride in their achievements, accolades, and personal appearance, thinking these degrees or personal representation showcases their intelligence, since it takes "smarts" to identify that how one "brands" oneself is what opens him up to opportunities and a more prosperous future.

ESTJs are excellent at following behind the heels of a powerful motivator and tearing down the walls that would stop their progress, simultaneously delegating tasks and effortlessly filling in their shoes if the need arose. They rise to the top quickly (like Skinner, post here); and believe they've arrived in life when they've accomplished everything there is to do in their field. If they haven't matured enough to learn work-life balance, they then sit back, discontented, and realize how much of life they passed by to work for something insubstantial. As we hear in Captain Scully's speech in One Breath, he didn't realize how short life was in achieving pursuits until it was too late to start fresh.

The Parent Function: Si Parent is simultaneously responsibly loyal and hard to motivate. ESTJs have to trust you to give their loyalty, a trait Captain Scully does not share with either Bill or Dana.

He also needs to feel comfortable with all facets of a decision before implementing changes or moving forward with a plan (which is why he fits perfectly with Maggie, who is naturally inclined to give comfortable but boundary-pushing experiences.)

The Child Function: Ne Child needs to be told what others want, which allows them to get to work fulfilling those requests. ESTJs can "make" miracles happen, affecting all outcomes and bringing together tangible and intangible tools in wholly unique ways. We have a mundane example in canon-- Captain Scully needed to be nudged by Maggie to ask their daughter about her job; and he fulfilled his obligation and felt good about it (although never completely addressed the issue)-- and one that is possibly a reach (but not so great a reach in the X-Files universe)-- visiting his baby girl twice after death.

The Inferior Function: Fi Inferior makes ESTJ's afraid they are not moral enough (a trait he shares with A.D. Skinner, post here.) However, if they conquer this fear by exercising their personal morals and helping along others who are struggling with theirs, these Types' fears are relieved.

The Nemesis Function: Ti Nemesis constantly nitpicks at what an ESTJ knows to be true. They strive to be taken seriously academically; and this worry drives them to research-- not for knowledge's sake, but because it is a powerful tool in the climb to the top of the ladder. Once they have their facts in place, this worry vanishes into the wind.

The Critic Function: Se Critic are elitist hypocrites: in all of their striving to be the best, they then turn around and judge others while having a shoe lace untied that they haven't noticed. With wisdom comes tempered reason: they can't foresee their own mistakes-- we're all human, after all-- so how can they nitpick others? ESTJs also love to be told if they have food in their tooth or a hair out of place, as they take great pride in their appearance and won't mind a correction in their favor.

The Trickster Function: Ni Trickster dupes ESTJs into thinking they know what they want-- THEY DON'T. Often they spend their lives in pursuit of goals or vanities they think will satisfy, only to find themselves empty at the end.

They do best with someone who will tell them what they want or need, knowing the ESTJ better than they know themselves (ex. Maggie nudging her husband to ask their daughter about work rather than letting him walk off without having said a word. This interaction proved even more meaningful after his sudden death that night, making it the last words he'd ever said to Scully.)

The Demon Function: If ESTJs are told they are selfish, greedy, or terrible people, their Fe Demon will retaliate by inhibiting others' happiness: "If others won't let me be happy, no one will be." These types can transform this trait into a more profitable one by letting others embrace how they feel without taking that criticism, rejection, or pain too personally themselves.

An Interesting Note on the Scully Family

Maggie was Bill Scully, Sr.'s perfect fit: as an ESTP (see here), she is a shaker and a mover-- a windstorm of independence tempered by love and a desire to help people grow. As she enters a new space in life, she will immediately see its flaws and how to make it better; and this motivates her ESTJ husband to improve it as well, since he knows the value of polished appearances.

ESTP Maggie is all about assisting others one on one with logical advice (Ti Parent) and unbeatable, incredible experiences (Se Hero.) Her Fe Child and Fi Critic seek reassurance that she is valued and wanted; and she combines these four functions to provide Bill Scully Sr. with comfortable surprises, which are imperative for his Si Parent. Because he wants to experience everything once, Bill will try whatever his wife brings his way; and the more fun he has, the more trust he gives until Maggie is soon Master and Commander of the family trips, outings, or other activities. The two of them are incredibly well-matched: she gets him out of his ruts and blows his mind with how much life she lives; and he picks up the mantle of responsibility while pursuing status and prosperity for the family. Together, they are powerhouses-- his wife shaking the kids' routines up and her husband coming behind and training their four children on how to be "presentable." Their dynamic provided the family with two important values: personal independence and responsibilities to family duty, which explains how each of their children turned into very different people while still being unified by an obligatory bond.

Speculations on Charlie Scully

This raises a speculation: the whole family are Sensing Types-- which is rare-- and makes blending so many personalities under one roof exponentially easier... and yet, Charlie is nowhere to be found. If Bill and Maggie Scully disagreed with their children but still maintained relationships with them-- that we know of-- why is Charlie gone? My guess is Charlie was an Intuitive Type (NJ or NP) like Mulder. Maggie's Type is wired to think that intuitive metaphysics are a waste of time because they serve no concrete purpose in the now (with her dreams being as open as she wants to be to more metaphysical ideas and theories); and Captain Scully is wired to dabble into intuition only as an intellectual additive rather than a way of life. Scully is a scientist and Bill would be too wrapped up in his own life to want to chat about an area he doesn't have any interest in. And Melissa seems the most open; but her thoughts are always filtered through her beliefs, so any discussion would come down to how she perceived an incident rather than a thorough exploration of the subject.

Perhaps Charlie felt like he was the odd one out-- perhaps there were fights, perhaps not; but at any rate, he's only woven into Scully's life three times (during the original run): as a guest at his father's funeral (see here), as a mention in S1 during a case, and as a mention in S4 when she babysat his son. Another speculation: did Charlie wander back in twice because Scully was more receptive to those kinds of questions or thoughts now that she had been working with Mulder almost a year? Again: perhaps or perhaps not.

At any rate, it seems that Charlie was truly isolated from the Scully family, possibly feeling like he spoke a language entirely separate from the one that they did.
