First of all, thank you so much for loving the au, it's kind of getting demotivating a bit to see the fandom slow down but I'll ALWAYS have modern! coryo brain rot. So, I guess someday I'll be shouting into the void lmao.

I do think that when it comes to preferences, he does prefer chubbier people. He's one of those guys that likes being able to just really grab and slap anything and everything because you've got more than enough meat on your bones. Also, idk how to quite explain it, but I think he enjoys what he believes is a more realistic (?) body, like he'd deadass get so offended if you thought you had to shave or cover up stretch marks. He comes from a very superficial world where the beauty standards are impossible to achieve (edit: i’m NOT talking about being skinny being impossible, i’m talking about general beauty standards and having an unrealistically proportioned body like the ones in media, i’m aware that skinny people exist) . It's like how for a while, Aphrodite and other similar goddesses were depicted in media as very skinny but when you look back at how they were actually worshiped, there are statues and carvings and etc. with belly rolls and all kinds of versions of bigger bodies. That's what reader's body reminds him of, gets him feel closer to God and all that.

I'll get to some actual kinks in a second, but I do think he likes more of a reluctant person. He's someone that is built for the chase and that really revels in the wooing process, he'd never been in love before you, so the rush of intense feelings kicks his adrenaline into overdrive. It's a sort of predator/prey thing without being a full-blown kink, Coryo stalks and he circles around you until you're given such a small window of escape that you already missed your chance by the time he decides that he's done waiting around. You have the whole cutesy 'will they? won't they?' thing going for a bit until you just don't anymore.

In my head, modern!coryo's reader is a virgin for that exact purpose lol like he does have a fuck boy past that's typical for his place in society, so I just love the idea of sex suddenly becoming so "special" to him now that he's possessed with the need to mold your experience around him so you could never be satisfied by anyone else. I think he'd want to keep some of that shyness and insecurity no matter how much experience he gives you, so he can reassure you and praise you and tell you to suck on his fingers so the stretch of his cock won't be all you can think about.

He does favor praise over degradation but when he does degrade it's more... positive (???) in his eyes, calling you dumb because he wants you know you don't have to be smart, saying you're his slutty whore because he wants you to feel comfortable enough being as nasty as possible with him, etc. No matter what name he calls you, he's adding 'my' in front of it. The words will be the same, but his tone will change based on if you're driving him crazy (basically if he gets jealous for no reason again)

I also think that's he way more of a Dom type, he'll never go into extreme type stuff and he's more of a gentle Dom depending on the situation that led up to you fucking or making love. My modern!coryo is never going to let you have more control than letting you ride him (and you always end up getting tired, so he has to take over, which he is more than happy to do!). His control issues are severe like they are in canon, he's exhausted trying to hold himself back from just losing it on everybody. So, having a stress toy of an s/o that he can micromanage and love without limits does wonders for his mental health.

When was the last time you cried? it would probably be easier to ask me when I'm not crying (anxiety club cardholder)

Do you have kids? nada! I am not parental material, but I do enjoy being the fun cool aunt to three nephews

What sports do you play/have you played? uh, bench warmer if we're being literal about it I don't think I was ever picked for a team willingly a day in my life I am both short and require glasses to see anything long distance - but! I was more interested in drama and books anyway so y'know battles, pick 'em.

Hello, back with more disturbing, fucked up Zi biology facts re: Organoids. I'M SURE EVERYONE IS VERY EXCITED (or running away, idk) It always has bothered me I didn't have a solid behavioral bead on how Organoids went from hunting Zoids to teleporting/fusing with cores. Apparently my brain has been thinking about it on some secret extra backburner because I just thought of this all suddenly the other day:

Zoids in general have something like this as a "nervous system" of sorts as relates to their cores. wild and zoidian zoids were more organic-ish while modern zoids' are basically purpose-built

this is sort of how the conduit stuff grows (top) vs is is "populated" (bottom), but the end result is basically the same. You have a core "nerve" suspended in matter in a tube. this blueprint of internal conduit is true for all Zoids, including, Organoids. Except with Organoids the concept just went utterly batshit. so while a huge amount of Organoids' evolutionbeing so conduit-heavy had to do with reproduction (re: adding a whole new step to encase core buds in protective eggs) it also had to do with a heavily-utilised feeding strategy. As I've talked about before, Organoid colonies are hypersocial - they maintain individuality but are all attached to their colony's hivemind. This made them really distressing predators - because while they were smaller than much of the Zoid megafauna they hunted, they did so in groups ranging from a pack to a swarm. One that could perfectly coordinate at all times.

If you're familiar with how wild dogs/hyenas/etc tend to go after their prey you might see where this is headed. I'd post a picture but that'd be kinda rude on random folks' timelines, so if you really don't know google youtube videos of african wild dogs killing large herbivores. basically pack carnivores usually go for weak points like orifices to start ripping into things. which works great when the whole prey is made of food... but Zoids are encased in a lot of armor and the best parts are very difficult to get to. which would actually lead to extremely protracted and dangerous hunts because it takes so long to destroy enough of the Zoid to actually immobilize it

SO the genesis of the whole fusion concept actually lies in the strategy Organoids as a species tried to solve this with - attacks that could directly target the core. Basically a swarm of Organoids overwhelming something, chewing holes in it to access the "conduit" - then, while the Zoid is being overwhelmed by a bunch of Organoids still attacking it, a number of them cling on and shove their own, much smaller cablings up through these 'conduit veins', damaging things and eventually getting access to the core chamber. refresher from my organoid anatomy bullshit - there's three types of this cabling:

one of these is GI - these type usually connect to the craw/stomach but they don't have to (I realized in writing this last night/today that there's some function "rules"/descriptions for these cables I've never articulated, but I've had those in mind for a long time, I'll write them down sometime soon I guess) but re: everything above, In what's basically a starfish move Organoids shove their own fucking guts up directly into a Core to start feeding on it. It's very miniscule individually, but multiplied it'll rapidly damage and collapse the Zoid's core, stopping (and killing) the prey for Everyone

When Organoids became more benign, and Zoids weren't hostile to their presence, they found they could accomplish this same basic thing individually without, yanno, all the Horrifying and Death, so. everyone was happier the end

thinking about an au (or post-canon hc but really far-fetched) where saiki ends up joining a theatre troupe somehow

basically, he gets fed up with not having any sort of safe space and not having many people he can be himself around, especially since his own HOME was never the place for that no matter how much he wished it was and he gets too tired of his family not respecting his privacy and his friends ruining every moment he gets to himself

and he decides that no matter WHAT gets in his way, hes going to MAKE a safe(-ish, i mean he still cant just be psychic around people for fun but he can prob be a little more lenient and express himself) space for himself

so he considers a few things like joining a school sport or club, but he still sucks at controlling himself in sports and doesnt want to let himself get any sort of popular at school where people he KNOWS are, which he realizes is the biggest part of the issue and he really wants a place where he can almost have a new start i guess ? like a vigilante with a secret identity who only comes out at night except its just a teenage boy who wants to be himself for a few hours a day LMAO.. he wants somewhere where nobody has any preconceptions about him at all and he can't embarrass himself by being "out of character.." and can just wear his germanium without worrying, so he eventually picks up theatre outside of school

he finds a job probably somewhat of a commute away from hidariwakibara so he can be sure (bad move buddy, NEVER think youre "sure") that none of his pet nuisances will ever see any of the shows hes in.. maybe at a youth theatre or a theme park ?

he probably does mostly just singing and dancing because i would think hed be a little more anxious to actually ACT on stage.. singing is different than SPEAKING, especially for him..

he doesnt tell any of his friends he got a job and just says hes been busy whenever they ask where hes been, so they start getting suspicious/concerned when hes NEVER at home when they come to see him and is way more uncharacteristically stubborn about being too busy to hang out (i mean cmon, usually he cracks after like ONE "please")

somebody he works with probably happens to go to/transfer to PK and starts greeting him at school once he starts forming relationships with his coworkers, so some of his friends see and ask him who they are and he has to tell him he works with them.. (he cant lie cuz theyre literally at his school and someone could just ask them)

i imagine he would still refuse to tell them WHERE he works, so someone like aiura or teruhashi or both probably befriends his coworker and finds out stuff from them..

its basically pheonix wonderland/wonderlandsxshowtime im realizing LMFAO, thats what im picturing as the type of shows hes in and how he sings/dances.. okay nene kusanagi ! bro doing those silly ass songs with a straight ass face

He seems somewhat spacey if that's the right word? Like his mind is often thinking about something else

Also I think his name would be Batbold 🐱 I think Baatar (Mongolia) and Batbold (Inner Mongolia) sound cute together LZKQAK

Because many different ethnic groups live within him (I mean, he's straight up outnumbered by Han Chinese), he is more sensitive of other people's cultural norms to say the least compared to his brother in the North. Also has a better alarm for what not to say out loud

Wears his hair in two braids, has a bit of facial hair. I'd like to think he's around the same height as Mongolia, if not slightly shorter?

He tolerates Manchuria better than Mongolia does seeing as they live so close together and there are many Manchurians living in Inner Mongolia. What would really annoy Mongolia would probably only illicit a sigh from him.

On Manchuria again: They sort of have a weird relationship. For Mongolia, it's easy for him to dislike Manchuria or to be easily annoyed by Manchuria. But for Inner Mongolia, because both of them live under China , he came to the conclusion that there's really no point spending time on being angry at him all the time when they're kinda in the same boat now.

That doesn't mean that he doesn't get passive aggressive or annoyed towards Manchuria at times or has completely let go of his feelings towards what happened but Manchuria isn't exactly a threat to him anymore and if anything, is in a worse position than he is, so.

So yes. That combined with the Manchurian population in Inner Mongolia means that inner Mongolia does in fact invite him over for celebrations and trips and whatnot (Northerner solidarity finally real?).

Even if this annoys Mongolia when he comes over and visits. He finds it kind of funny anyways

Touching back on a previous point: I see inner Mongolia being a brother to Mongolia rather than being his like, child or something. This is because inner Mongolia was originally Southern Mongolia and a distinction between Northern and Southern Mongolia was only really prevalent during I guess the late 16th century or even mid during Ligdan Khan's reign?

Inner Mongolia (previously Southern Mongolia) was colonised by the Qing (Manchuria 🐱) in 1636 and Outer Mongolia (Mongolia) joined a few decades later in 1691

Between Northern and Southern/Inner Mongolia, there were some differences in the ruling families and Mongolic peoples populating each. This is kind of complicated but outer Mongolia (iirc) consisted of mainly Khalkha, Buryat, Uriankhai (umbrella term for the likes of Tuvans) groups and Inner Mongolia also had Khalkha and also Tumet and Chahar Mongol groups. There are a number of other Tumens/factions that are a part of this shitshow but I'm simplifying it for now

Despite these differences, this did not make Northern and Southern Mongolia two different entities. At least for a while

These groups, such as the Khalkha and Chahar, were Chinggisid (Genghisid), so of/loyal to the Chinggisid royal bloodline. It was under Dayan Khan that these groups were reunited after defeating the Oirats, and it was established that they were a Chinggisid people once more.

It was a strict rule in Mongolia that only those of the Chinggisid line could be Khan. Side note: the rule of Chinggisid leaders only being legitimate was so widespread throughout Central Asia which is why Timur of the Timurid Empire wanted to prove that he was Chinggisid so much, and even married a woman who was a descendant of Chagatay Khan (one of his sons).

Because of this Chinggisid heritage ordeal iirc this is why the Qing carefully planned intermarriages with inner Mongolian ruling groups so they could, in some convoluted way, claim legitimacy. Inner Mongolian nobles married with Manchurian nobles pretty extensively

So yes relationship with Manchuria can be kinda weird considering this past LMAO but he tolerates him now because. Same boat™

I make his birth date being in the late-ish 16th century because there already was a difference in the kind of factions inhabiting inner and outer Mongolia but I don't want to make him be born too early as that might be seem as legitimising Qing Imperialism/ legitimising Inner Mongolia being separated from Mongolia.

As stated previously, the difference between them can be seen in Ligdan Khan's reign. The Khalkha and Oirat factions by the early/mid 17th century were already going against Ligdan's rule, and he really only had the Chahar Mongol faction on his side

Inner Mongolia was officially annexed to the Qing in 1636 after Ligdan Khan died. His son, Ejei, was the final ruler of the Northern Yuan dynasty (Mongolia - he was coping and seething with the Yuan ending so called his territory the "Northern Yuan" lol) before the Qing finally put an end to it when Ejei was defeated in a surprise attack in 1635 and subsequently handed over the Northern Yuan imperial seal to the Qing, which was the first step to legitimising their rule before the extensive intermarriage with inner Mongolian nobility.

Inner/Southern Mongolia was the first to be annexed, Northern Mongolia held on for a bit longer but ultimately fell to the Qing too.

This (1) of the many reasons why Mongolia has a huge complex about inner Mongolia and what went down because uh. It's used to justify "Inner Mongolia is the real Mongolia" rhetoric

Because of this Mongolia is extremely fussy over inner Mongolia which does kind of annoy the latter

Once inner Mongolia and the Imperial seal was taken, this meant that the still independent Mongols in the North needed to find a new authority. Thus they turned to Tibetan Buddhism and established a new spiritual leader, Jebtsundamba Khutuktu, in 1639 (mfw tibmon real because Tibet helped Mongolia regain control of himself and a will to live once inner Mongolia was taken -)

But didn't last long lol as the Qing would install their own lamas into Mongolian monasteries so.

He is pretty chill on the surface, he's not very outwardly fussy about things and is pretty easy to talk to about whatever. Doesn't really involve himself in drama and whatnot

However he does have some. Deep seated complexes and problems that he never brings to the surface and are really hard to gage.

Mongolia however uh. Can sense them. I've already talked about this hc before but I think Mongolia has problems with anything to do with understanding mental health and doesn't show empathy easily but he's very different when it comes to inner Mongolia. He catches onto when he's upset or not feeling okay and like. Shows genuine concern.

I've said previously that Inner Mongolia gets kind of annoyed with Mongolia when Mongolia becomes too fussy about him... Mfw Inner Mongolia orders takeout for them in Mandarin when Mongolia visits and he looks up and Mongolia looks like he's seen a ghost -

I think sometimes they bicker about wrestling rules LMAO. Inner Mongolian and Outer Mongolian wrestling rules slightly differ. For example, in Inner Mongolia, you're not allowed to grab your opponents legs, whereas in outer Mongolia it's completely permissible.

Inner Mongolia also rubs in how much fancier inner Mongolian wrestling outfits are compared to outer Mongolian.

Mongolia in turn makes fun of the "Jangga" tradition in Inner Mongolia. In Inner Mongolian wrestling, some wrestlers wear a colourful ribbon necklace around their neck to signify that they're a good wrestler, as its often gained through winning many matches. But you can also acquire it if a retiring wrestler just decides to give it to you, regardless of your skill.

Mongolia voice: Isn't that just cheating lol

I think he has a good relationship with Daur. Many Daur live in Inner Mongolia and I see her being quite. Cheerful? So he likes being around her. She tries to teach him hockey :3

Really likes Uyghur food. I read that inner Mongolians often go to Uyghur restaurants when they eat out and take their (Outer) Mongolian friends there.

About Mr Uyghur again: I see them having a good bond. Love for lamb and wrestling etc lol some very similar interests but also it's a minzu to minzu thing and shared experiences of living under China.

Also because of the history between Uyghurs and Mongols but when it comes to overall history in particular, Uyghur is more familiar with Mongolia because well, he was around for longer lol

His and Mongolia's relationship isn't always good and there are definitely problems. In 1919 when China attempted to occupy outer Mongolia, a lot of the troops where Chahar Mongols from inner Mongolia 🤒

I also think inner Mongolia can get quite passive aggressive towards Mongolia when he's annoyed with him. Like the whole "well we retained our culture unlike you who uses the cyrillic script now instead of the original Mongol script"

Adding onto this and harking back to some points earlier, inner Mongolia does kind of have a superiority complex towards Mongolia because of the "Inner Mongolia is the real Mongolia" fiasco and Ejei Khan giving the Imperial seal to the Qing which lead to inner Mongolia being annexed etc etc and Northern/Outer Mongolia having to find a new authority to have a stabilised sense of identity again.

Also because he's simply a lot wealthier than Mongolia and I've heard that apparently some Mongols travel to inner Mongolia for certain healthcare?

Inner Mongolia also really. Dislikes it when Mongolia puts him on a pedestal and Mongolia often finds himself bitterly disappointed when he visits inner Mongolia and he does not act like the idealised version of himself he has in head🤒

It's ok though they do still love and care about each other KXKSKS just. Family issues I guess

Positive relationship with Tibet but kinda reels at how Mongolia and Tibet act around each other LMAO.

Ending on a more positive note, I think it's funny how it's inner Mongolia who goes around with facial hair and Mongolia who decides to be clean shaven lol

my stupid, messy, and long-winded thoughts on jake having a crush on drew

to get it out of the way LOL: CANONICALLY, jake doesn't have a crush on drew. obviously. BUT this is just me taking how jake acts and trying to answer the question "but what if he did haha" bc im delusional like that. that's also why this essay is a lot more casual than my other ones (not much shorter tho, SORRY ABT THAT). probably won't talk abt canon events as much (other than the drakeup), but still lmao

ME, PERSONALLY, i think that jake would develop a crush on drew probably around freshman year-ish. bc, as ive said before, drew was the first person to want to be jake's friend. im sure it meant a lot to jake, especially bc we can assume that it was drew who talked to/approached jake first!!

(and lol, if jake started crushing on daisy bc she was the first person encourage him in middle school, itd only be natural for him to develop a crush on drew after he defended him from bullies, bought him things, and in general was his first close friend???? jk LMAO, but the point still stands)

i think the way jake would go about his feelings... he simply wouldn't do anything about them... besides hide them away and act like they were never there. but then again, that shit wouldn't work out, bc those feelings are so engrained in him.

bc jake really cares about what drew thinks, which is why he kept quiet about his past and his passion. and the crush would definitely be a part of that. like it's smth jake would view as "bad", and he would think that it's just an additional reason for drew to drop him. that's why, i think, he'd never purposely act on his feelings or anything. maybe the occasional gay thing will slip out of his mouth when drew's not around to hear it, but nothing actually intentional?

jake hid his passion for music and his crush from drew so they would be able to stay friends. bc, to him, it was the only way that drew would ever "like him back", even if it wasn't romantically. (he's wrong ofc, bc drew has a massive boycrush on him. but jake doesn't know that)

basically, all of that basically means that the one thing jake didn't want is for drew to call him a freak/for drew to leave. it just sucks i guess, bc everything jake did to make that not happen... became the exact reasons why it did happen.

and if we're gonna talk abt canon some more... i think this crush would add to jakes internal conflict throughout the series. like yeah. jakes got the club and he can be his full self with them, but since drew is his first friend (who he developed feelings for!!!), he finds it hard to let him go. which is why he sort of tries to defend/excuse the jomies, up until ep7 ("they're still my friends ... they're not like that all the time.")

HONESTLY THIS IS REALLY REALLY STUPID AND IM PROBABLY GOING TO DELETE THIS LATER. SORRY ITS BAD LMAO

you were in the music group ‘Little Mix’. you were the youngest in the group. after everything that had happened with Jesy, you girls all thought it was best that after this last tour, it would be your last time, for now, preforming. you guys were splitting up. you hated it. you had been in this group for 11 years and it was all you had ever known. during your time in Little Mix, you had met the love of your life, Joe Keery.

you had been with him for five years and he had supported you through out your career. you were obviously living in the UK but Joe, when he wasn’t filming, would be staying with you in your house. it was your last show today, the London show. you had been in the dance studio with the rest of the girls, practicing for the last night. you were all pretty emotional, it was an end of an era and you were all moving on to new, amazing things.

you guys finished practicing for the last show around one in the afternoon, which gave you plenty of time for you to go home and relax before the show. you were somewhat happy, Joe was coming to the show and it was his third show. with him usually being in the states, he didn’t really have time to come see a show. he wished he had time but he knew this show was one of the most important so he was happy he was going ti make it.

you made it home at about two o’clock, you had until four ish to relax. you opened the door and took your shoes off before entering the hallway which led into the living room. you saw Joe sitting on the sofa with your labrador Spot, sitting next to him. he looked up at you from the TV and smiled, opening his arms for you to lay next to him. you walked to him and sat down, your head falling into his chest as he put his arms around you.

“how was practice? how’s the girls?” he said, playing with your hair. “they are fine, a little sad i guess but Perrie and Leigh brought the babies so it was nice. they were all a little sad and Jade started crying when we practiced ‘Between Us’ so it was difficult” you said, your eyes not moving off of the TV. “it’s gonna be hard baby, but think about all the people you’ve helped. they’d want you guys to take a break to sort your own lives out. and two of the girls have babies, you aren’t 20 years old anymore.” he said, trying to make you feel better. obviously you weren’t in the best place today.

you got up after about an hour of watching TV and went upstairs for a shower. you honestly just wanted to clear your head. “you okay? where are you going?” Joe asked, confused as to why you suddenly just got up. “oh no i’m fine, i just want to have a shower before the show. and i wanna clear my head” you said honestly, you didn’t want to lie. he kissed your forehead and let his arm drop from your waist as you fully stood up. you smiled and then walked out of the living room to go up the stairs. you got your things to shower then got in. you were really sad. you had been with these girls for years and this was the last day, for now, that you would all be a group.

you were in the shower for about an hour before you got out. you put a towel around your body and walked out the bathroom into your bedroom. you chucked on a random pair of joggers you had and one of Joe’s jumpers. you wanted to be comfortable when you were travelling to the show as when you got to the stadium, you would instantly be pulled into hair and makeup where you would start getting ready. you blow dried your hair before putting a hat on and your trainers, not forgetting to grab your phone, and ran downstairs. Joe was now standing in the kitchen, his back turned to you. you walked to him and wrapped your hands around his waist, making him jump a little.

“jesus, you scared me” he said, turning around in your grip. he laughed slightly and hugged you back. “we can’t be here for much longer, we need to leave soon so you can get ready.” he said, you looked up and him as he spoke. he lifted your hat slightly and kissed your lips before letting go. he was dressed in blue jeans and he had a black jumper on. he grabbed your hand and led you to the front door and let go of your hand so he could he put his shoes on. making sure he had everything, he grabbed your hand again and led you to your car, which he would be driving.

you both got in and you were silent for most of the car ride. he held your hand the whole way, only letting go when he had to change gears. you arrived at the venue at 5:30pm. you both got out the car which was swarmed by paparazzi, trying to get pictures of you. you let Joe guide you as you bowed your head. you entered the venue and met with your manager for a bit before going to find the girls. they were in the dance studio again, warming up their voices. Joe went to find Alex, Andre and Jordan. he luckily got along with all of them so you weren’t worried about him going off to find them.

you girls practiced for a bit before Cassie, the hair and makeup manager called you girls in. you all had your own room where you would be getting ready but you guys decided, as it was the last night, to all get ready together. whilst you and Jade were in the chair, getting your hair done, Perrie was dancing around the room with Axel. you smiled as you watched them. when you found out both LeighAnne and Perrie were pregnant, you were ecstatic. both of them had been talking about having babies for years and here they were, starting their own family, and you couldn’t believe how quickly it had gone. one minute they were only three months pregnant and now they had nine month olds.

after you guys all got ready, you practiced a few songs and waited back stage for your last show to start. the opening act was just finishing so everyone all huddled in together to say a prayer before the show, like you always did. Joe was next to you, hand rubbing your waist softly. the girls were standing next to their boyfriends and once the prayer was over, you all let go but you gave Joe a kiss before. he went with the boys to find his seat. you guys all got into your positions, ready for the crowd to cheer for you when you all entered the stage.

during the show, each one of you got emotional. the dancers had their speeches that they had all prepared. you were probably one of the most emotional people that night. then finally, it was the end of the show. the moment you had all been dreading. you guys decided to write a speech to the group. you were going to read them at the end of the show and here it was. Perrie went first, your eyes were already welling up with the tears you had been trying to hold in for the whole show. you where all standing in a ‘group’. you were next to Jade, who was going next and her tears were already falling. you put your head on her shoulder and she the put her head on top of yours. then Jade said her speech, then LeighAnne. then it was you.

“i honestly do not have the words to describe how amazing these past eleven years have been for me. building an individual friendship with each of you has been the best experience and i’m so grateful for all of you. the masses of support we have gotten through the good times and the bad times have been so overwhelming. of course singing with you guys has been amazing but one of my favourite parts of being in Little Mix was seeing you guys flourish into the amazing, beautiful, smart women i always knew you would be-” you had to pause. you put a hand on top of your head to try calm yourself down. hearing the fans cheer for you to keep trying kept you on. you felt Jade’s hand rub up and down your back.

you looked back up at the crowd and continued, the tears now falling freely. “you guys have been there for me when i was going through some of the hardest things i’ve ever had to experience and you have just been the most amazing best friends. i honestly cannot think of anymore words right now because i’m too sad but i’ll probably send it in a message later” you joked, you heard Perrie and LeighAnne laugh through their microphones which made you laugh. you then really finished the last song. you guys tried to sing your best through the masses amounts of tears but you got to the end and took a bow. the fans cheered and you all went in for a group hug. that was it. it was over.

you all walked backstage, your hand in Perrie’s as you both walked to the back with more tears flowing. you walked down the backstage stairs and saw all your families waiting for you and you saw Joe, the proudest smile sat on his face. you walked to him and wrapped your arms around him. he rocked you back and forth as you hugged. “i don’t think you know how proud of you i am. you did so amazing” he said, taking your face into his hands. you were still sobbing. he let go so you could go say thank you to the crew who you worked with them you took his hand and led him to your personal room. you got changed back into the comfy clothes you were wearing earlier. you couldn’t really think straight. Joe helped you collect your things as you both went to the room where all the girls were. you knocked on the door then walked in, seeing the girls dressed in their clothes they were wearing before the show.

LeighAnne noticed you both first and walked to you, her arms wide open. you hugged her and then the other girls joined. “we act like we are never coming back together” you heard Perrie say between tears. you all laughed when you heard Jade say “same time next week” that was the first time you properly laughed after the show. you guys hung out together for a while before you decided it was best to go home. you and Joe walked hand in hand to the car and you got in. once you arrived home, you and Joe instantly went to bed. you took off your makeup quickly before getting into bed. Joe walked in, a sympathetic smile on his face once he saw your sad face again. he got into bed and laid down and pulled you into him. “you did so amazing love. this was definitely the best show i have been to.” he said, stroking your hair. you laughed softly as you looked up at him. “thank you” you said, kissing him.

now that you had time with Joe, you could finally start being with him more in America. you went there every so often when you didn’t have to tour or sing new songs but now you could finally stay at his house for more than a week. when you pulled away, you looked into Joe’s eyes, the look of love, proudness and adoration was filled in his eyes. he was proud of anything you did and you loved him for that and you knew, from the look on his face, that you would be safe and okay with him.

Omg ok so it’s peak squirrel brain hours for me rn so lemme try to tell you about this brainrot I’ve been having.

I literally have no idea where it came from but modern au, you’re a patron at thatch’s bar, you go there often and are friendly with thatch bc he’s a nice guy. Friends with Luffy. You go to said bar, having a great time with your friends, whitebeard crew shows up bc it’s thatch’s place obvi, but some other crew busts in trying to pick a fight. Somehow you get yoinked as a hostage bc the other crew wants to fight somewhere else (a trap duh) and it’s not a situation where they can get you out safe so they’re like yes we’ll fight you at this location but Marco is like I wanna come too, prolly cause he feels responsible maybe you were by the whitebeard crew bc you were luffy’s friend or you were flirting with Marco and that’s why you got snatched

And the baddies they’re like fine fine but it’s seastone cuffs. They got beef with him or something so they were down, plus having one of their fighters tapped out seemed smart

So you go off with them and both of you are just subconsciously trying to protect the other Marco even has you come sit on his lap bc the sketchy van you’re put in has stuff all over the floor and you’re wearing shorts/skirt and it’s conveniently freezing in the van so like, y’all can warm eachother up

And the baddies are like oh wait is it the Phoenix’s gf is that why he wanted to come and they’re taunting like oh the things we could do to your little gf and Marco is like just remember the cuffs won’t be on forever

Anyways they drive y’all around until the meeting time maybe taunting or roughing poor Marco up a little and finally they all meet up at this trap location except obvi the whitebeard pirates are gonna kick ass and come to the rescue and they take you back with them to heal any injuries/make sure you ok

BUT

Oh no one of the baddies gets away and starts posting all over the dark web about the phoenix’s weakness and everyone is like oh you’re in danger guess you gotta stay with us for awhile

And Marco was so nice so you just have a huge crush but he somewhat avoids you bc he feels responsible so you’re like oh he does not like me back oh ok

And idk they’re loosely mafia ish so some shenanigans ensue of people coming after you but Marco is always there to protect you and the tension is off the charts

….

That’s kinda as far as my brain got bc I keep starting over lmao

Ugh I wish I was better at making that a cute little story I’m so good at coming up with things in my head but typing them out is so hard T_T

But I hope you enjoyed my brainrot I’m about to head to bed and will most likely be thinking of it more <3

An Author friend of mine - far more successful and suited to the job than I am - said something once that really sticks with me.

The ideas are the easy part, writing is the hard part.

Some people will come to her with ideas, and want some sort of 50/50 deal for doing "half" the work, and honestly, no matter how well fleshed out the idea is, it's barely going to be 5% of the process at best.

I don't share that to put your idea down, not even a little, but I do mention it to highlight that you're not wrong. Turning ideas into stories is the hard part, and honestly I always love seeing that truth understood too. (Real fun is when you apply that to other things and realize that certain types who have "great ideas" are rarely the ones who make them reality, but they really want to continually tell you how great their ideas are changing the world >.> )

Moving on from my little rant, I have to say I LOVE THIS - KAZIEAI OMFG I AM FOAMING AT THE FUCKING MOUTH YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND THIS IS ONE OF MY MOST FAVORITIESTS SITUATIONS EVER!

So - I have to admit I have a Mafia AU Marco story I'm slowly working on. It's pretty complex so far, intended as a slowburn anyway, and I really want to incorporate this idea into it. I just love the vibes.

AND - lol - one of the points I wanted to sort out for it was specifically having the reader end up in the Main House for the Whitebeard Mafia family. This idea is PERFECT, a few adjustments for the reader type and the AU itself, and the vibes are there. It's a Devil Fruit AU too, so >.>

the reader as a hostage gets Marco as a "hostage", they're supposed to let her go at that point, but someone gets the brilliant idea that the girl keeps the bird inline, and Pops' prize bird keeps the other boys inline, so they're keeping both.

The idea of the doomed kidnappers thinking the two are together works, it'll be the 2nd or 3rd time they've met and yeah, there's been flirting, but nothing committal. So her staying at the Main House for protection still leave Marco with a sour taste - he does like her, but this situation isn't fair. He's too laid back and experienced to blatantly avoid her, but he makes sure there's always someone else around, excusing himself before his brothers can "leave the two of them alone" or anything.

In this particular story the reader is an adopted kid of Big Mom's, trying to get away from the mafia life to some degree, and more than that to avoid being married off for whatever reason by Big Mom in the first place. (this is grumbled about in the first chapter, so it's not some big reveal). That certainly adds another layer to things, especially if Lin-Lin sees it as an in to tie the two families together.

Ah, sweet Kazieai <3 I would love to utilize this wonderful idea you've blessed my morning with. Just because the idea part is easier than the writing part doesn't mean it isn't worth due credit ❤️Especially when it's just the scenario I was trying to come up with.

Mostly unrelated to everything being talked about right now, but re: how long the protag is in Hisui, have you been paying attention to the night/day cycles + when you rest at the camp for however long? Lots of days go by, at least when I played, and I'm kind of curious how long your playthrough will be, esp if you try to complete the whole pokedex. Day cycles are pretty short, which I think makes sense since irl covering that much ground would take a lot of time, even if you have a steed, and it'd probably take even longer if you actually slept during most nights like the character would if they were a real person

ooh i have not been counting but i should have been. by my estimation maybe like, a week ish worth of days has passed? 3 for story and then 4 while doing other non-story stuff feels about right. maybe a little more than that. so i guess it does take a lil longer than two weeks to finish the game lmao. i DO try to put my protag to bed, whkwjhwkwjh. not all the time bc sometimes you've just gotta get those nighttime only pokemon (or Observe where all the npcs go home to. breaking into every single home in jubilife to talk to everyone is apparently not cause for concern) but if i can i like to try and at least let them sleep through the night. if we're in jubilife and not out surveying i'll even put them in jammies (the grey everyday set you get given at the start of the game). same energy as me trying to feed my scarvi protag regularly. someone's gotta look after these kids!!

you're right about the day cycle being really fast while surveying, and ooh yeah i DO think that explanation makes a lot of sense, that they're just fast forwarding through the boring walking/riding parts lol. it's probably also for gameplay reasons so that you never have to wait too long for any day/night cycle dependent things to happen. however one thing that sort of balances this out is that i don't think time. passes? in jubilife? i'm pretty sure it's frozen unless you change it via sleeping. which is interesting.

They look really great and would totally rock the clothing!! I also love that they aren’t pale and can tan. I used to be pale-ish as a child but at some point after spending a lot of time outside, my skin gained a permanent light tan lol

Grandma’s right to give them the string bracelets lmaoo neither of them would seem to be the types to take any superstitions seriously and take their chances, especially Floyd lmao. The string represents the idea of tying or anchoring one’s soul to their body or serves as a blessing or protective charm of sorts. It’s interesting to me and as a kid I used to go with my parents to visit relatives for ceremonies and stuff and they usually incorporated some sort of string tying. Like for funerals, marriages, celebrating the birth of a child, etc.

I just remembered that Floyd is actually really skilled with instruments (b/c he learned to play some of them out of boredom lol) and I totally think he’d be able to play the Hmong instruments if he really wanted to for the same reason lmaoo. I unfortunately also don’t know much about said instruments but I can totally see him playing them if he wanted to.

My mom says that we play the instruments in times like funerals and stuff and that it's supposed to send people off to the afterlife. Every sound or note is a word even if it sounds like long boring notes. I think you just need a good ear to understand it and I think Floyd would find it a little interesting even if it sounds boring.

There's probably other instruments but I don't know much about them but the Qeej

as promised, here's a big sketch dump of my sona/oc nim! this isn't gonna be a popular post and I don't care 👍

I didn't originally intend to post these so I've referenced some art works heavily but I've written the name of the artist and I'll type it out too! if any of the artists see my references and is uncomfortable with it please let me know and I'll remove it from this post :D

the first ideas for his "modern design" (he's been around and recycled for a loooong time). the pose in the top right hand corner is taken from @/hiraethminds! they are a very cool artist and inspire me a lot. though the grey-ish tones as the major colour goes away I still really like the centipede tattoo, centipedes are rad as fuck and you can't tell me otherwise

I started to play with the idea of a goat design for him here! which is strange because like. that's not even his main design or motif or anything, I just really liked the idea I guess LMAO also Aurelai belongs to my mate of the same name! she's not on tumblr (yet) but you should still like her because she's cool and awesome

a treat for my qsmp enjoyers!! an unfinished short comic I sketched on the day tallulah lost her first life. the other characters in this are my old ocs, don't even worry about them

I straight up just have the image that inspired me in this one. its by @/sss-eriema and it was a gift from GOD. I was trying to sort out the colours and wanted to incorporate both orange (my favourite colour) and green (my close second favourite colour) but wasn't having much luck. eriema's artwork showed me that it can work in a more muted way and it was very very helpful!!

I started to get the colours down in the bottom right corner!! I really like this sketch page honestly. some bonus self portrait sketches because I wanted to try and put some more of my own features into his design as my sona! also in the notes I was debating between the two eye shapes and I'm still thinking about it. I think the bottom ones fit his personality more and are way more expressive but I just like the Vibe of the top ones

a lot of little drawings with varying styles! also more slimecicle. I am adhding so hard for him right now, it's concerning.

t. this one is the reason for the blood tw in the tags. I just really like drawing blood. as a treat. don't come for me this is my self-indulgent safe space leT ME BE EDGY </3 also the writing is a little hard to read so I've put it in the alt! and more qsmp doodles!

I'm starting to ditch the goat design but this one is my last hurrah. basically settled on the general colour scheme now! and more qsmp stuff. its literally gripped my brain I can't escape it, even in my personal work

then I realised. nimbus-BUGS. bugs! what if bug? this was a really fun study for using more creature features that I wasn't used to! loving the mandibles tbh

my most recent sketch as of posting! I might update this later, but this sketch page is probably the most gratuitously referenced, the expressions in the bottom left and top right were basically ripped from @/microwavablesquid so if you like those please check them out! the basic design structure of the full body was referenced from @/aresonist, retroactively I realised a lot of my design choices. uh. they also made LMAOOO so if my design in General tickles your brain, follow them!

as for his lore and basic information for what he actually Is, uhhh. ??? I don't know HAHAHA he's a little guy! he's creature! is he human? probably not but no one could say for sure! is he bugs? is he 1000 bugs in a trenchcoat? sometimes he's goat I guess??? I can never decide on a design and I think that aids his cryptid-like habits. he shows up sometimes, vibes and can't die in a way that matters! he has a running motif of my fake-God-thing, the centipede ouroboros, so I was like "what if he was a harbinger of the ouroboros, what then." and I like to imagine he has video game logic where when he dies, he basically respawns. also weirdly it's worked out in a way where he has lots of biblical motifs, like my name is literally nimbus, like the halo, and he's a messenger of a god like some fucked up blorbo angel. also lily of the valley is my favourite flower and I like drawing him with it, it also has lots of symbolism in the bible?? wild.

I sincerely doubt it but if you guys have any questions about nim or want to draw him or anything I would Die. I would just keel over. you'd take me out.
