5. Do you respond to comments? I try to! I'm not always prompt, and sometimes I don't have the bandwidth. But I really really really appreciate every one I get, and I hoard them like a weird little dragon.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? I don't really do angsty endings, but I guess Missed Connections? There's a good chance I'm going to expand on that one this year, but where it stands now I'd say it's angsty.
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? I guess run through the forest? That's the one that probably comes closest to a HEA ending. But I'm also partial to the ending of sharp as a razor.
8. Do you get hate on fics? Once, on a 100 word drabble. It was a bizarre experience.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Yessss. I tend to write the E variety, and it often has an... energetic quality to it, we'll say. But I like smut that reveals something about the characters, either to themselves or to each other or just to the reader.
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? Nope. Not really something I'm super interested in doing, either.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? Not that I'm aware of.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated? No, but that would be very cool.

14. What’s your all time favorite ship? I feel like I shouldn't say Haladriel because it's too obvious, but I'm also astounded that I'm still here and the brainrot has somehow only gotten worse.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? Oof, I really hope I finish all my WIPs. I do have a Haladriel Western AU that I've been working on for a year (?) now, though, that feels like it'll never be done. (Different from meet me and sharp as a razor if anyone's wondering, and yes, I realize that means I had/have 3 western/western adjacent au's. Stop looking at me like that.)
16. What are your writing strengths? I think I'm pretty good at scene setting and atmosphere. And creating a clear sense of space through description and action/movement.
17. What are your writing weaknesses? I struggle with articulating the emotional pay off in big scenes. And endings! Endings are rough! Let me just stew in the atmosphere for 40k with no end in sight.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? I've used a little Quenya and Sindarin here and there, but I'm not comfortable enough with any other languages to use them extensively in fic.
19. First fandom you wrote for? Rings of Power is the first fandom I've ever really finished or shared anything in. I dabbled a bit in some other fandoms years ago, but nothing ever saw the light of day. I'll forever be grateful to this fandom for getting me writing for fun again.
20. Favorite fic you’ve written? Ooo, that's hard. They've all been my favorite at one point or another. Right now, I'd have to say A Lust for Light, the fic I wrote for the most recent Haladriel Exchange is top of the list. I'm so so so proud of how that one turned out.

Dread shoved an icy spike through the healing wound in your gut. Fear slithering down your spine, you turned woodenly toward the door.
Jaeger should have worn a self-satisfied smirk, exultant at being right. Instead, disappointment clouded his hard features, an altogether worse expression than you needed at that moment.
“You followed me.” The flatness of your voice scared you.
“No, I took a guess.” Jaeger’s gaze shifted to Jack. “Either way, I would have come here for him anyway.”
Glancing from you to Jaeger, Jack asked, “Who are you?”
“Soon to be wealthy,” Jaeger quipped back.
He took a step forward.
You intercepted him, angling yourself so that Jack stood several paces behind you. Jaeger fixed you with a steely glare, the muscle in his jaw twitching again.
“I won’t have you jeopardizing my bounty,” he hissed.
Heart leaping into your throat, you grasped at straws. “We can work something out.”
“Work something out? He’s a monster! The only thing we need to work out is how to split the bounty. But since you quit, that issue’s been solved already.”
“I have money,” Jack said behind you. “If that’s what you want.”
Jaeger’s lips pulled into a vicious smile, shoving the spike of dread further into your guts. “I wasn’t talking to you, wolf.”
“Jaeger,” you warned, your voice surprisingly, dangerously low.
The man’s eyebrows tightened, his attention focusing on you in mild surprise. “You’re protecting him?”
“We don’t…we don’t have the full story.”
“The full story? He admitted it!”
Thoughts tripping over each other, you searched helplessly through the confusion. “It wasn’t even a full moon, Jaeger!”
“It doesn’t have to be with the Bloodstone,” he countered, his voice as sharp as a whip crack. “Isn’t that right, Russell?”
A fraction of hesitation, then a defeated, “Yes.”
“That’s enough for me.”
You stepped back in Jaeger’s way, preventing him from moving past you. Nostrils flaring, he glared down at you, annoyance flashing in his eyes. “You heard the monster.”
“All I heard is that he was forced.”
“Forced or not, it doesn’t matter! God, have I taught you nothing? You meet one man who tickles your fancy, and you lose all common sense?”
Anger pushed back the chill in your guts. “It does matter.”
“Maybe in a human court, but at the end of the day, he’s still a monster. Now step aside.”
Refusing to glance back at Jack, afraid to see his expression or give away yours, you set your jaw and glared back at your former boss. “You’ll have to go through me first.”
Surprise gave way to disgust. Jaeger’s mouth pursed as though finding the right words to spit back at you.
His fist slammed into your stomach.
Air exploded out of your lungs, chased by intense fire. You collapsed to your hands and knees, wheezing as the pain traveled through you. Jaeger stepped around you, advanced on Jack.
“You shouldn’t have done that,” you heard Jack say, his voice strange.
The hammer of a revolver clicked back.
Instinct driving you up despite the pain, you whirled around, the sweep of your leg connecting with your former boss’s ankles. He stumbled. Jack leapt forward, reaching for the gun in his hands.
Staggering to your feet as the two men struggled over the revolver, you fought for breath as fear snaked through you again.
Jaeger, towering over Jack, slammed his forehead down onto Jack’s. Jack flinched away, clutching at his face.
You threw yourself at Jaeger, aiming not for the gun but for his kidney. Driving your elbow into him, you reached to hook your arms under his arm as his back arched in pain. You slammed his arm down onto the kitchen counter, once, twice. The block of kitchen knives knocked over, scattering onto the floor behind you.
The gun clattered out of his hand.
Momentary triumph gave way to pain. Jaeger connected with your stomach, two hard jabs of his fist turning your vision fuzzy. You hit the floor again.
Pain exploded through your face as his knee connected with your nose.
“Stay down,” he roared, kicking you in the chest.
You hit the floor, lungs gasping for air even as you struggled to wheeze through the blood pouring over your mouth and down your throat. Gurgling on it, you grasped weakly at the floorboards, trying to lever yourself upright.
Jack scrambled somewhere in the apartment.
Your fingers touched something cold.
“My God,” Jaeger cried, shaking his head above you. “First you quit, and now this? We’re really going to have to talk about what this is all about. Protecting a monster?” He spat, the loogie missing your head by inches.
Jaeger’s face went blank, a barb forming on his tongue. You felt it coming, your stomach clenching in anticipation of what vitriol he would spew.
Your hand closed around the handle.
“You didn’t even have the decency to fuck him,” he said.
The blade sliced into the meat of his thigh. With a roar, Jaeger fell to one knee, hands grasping at the blood pulsing through the deep slash.
You drove the knife up into his ribs, shoving with all your force.
Shock broke over his features, his eyebrows knitting together as he stared into your face, then down at the handle protruding from his chest. Blood bubbled up to his lips, dribbled over as he looked back at you.
He slumped onto his back, taking the knife with him.
Scrambling away from him, you propped yourself up against the nearest armchair, tremors wracking your body. Gasps burned your throat, your blood coppery on your tongue. You couldn’t look away from the corpse.
Jack crouched down beside you, hands fluttering around you but not touching anything yet. “Are you badly hurt?”
You shook your head, not quite numb with the pain pulsing from your face and stomach alike.
“Let me get some ice for your nose.”
“No,” you croaked.
He stilled, frowning as he crouched down beside you again. “Okay. How can I help?”
Shivers still rolling through you, you peeled your eyes away from Jaeger’s body and fixed them on Jack. Concern contorted his handsome features.
“No more helping,” you wheezed.
Then you looked back at Jaeger and the truly blank expression on his face.

Are the Mandalorians in a Cult?
BITE Model Breakdown- Din Djarin’s Children of the Watch:
Today I am here to once and for all answer the pressing question on everyone’s minds: Is Din Djarin’s Mandalorian tribe (Children of the Watch) actually a cult? Bo Katan Kryze refers to The Tribe as a cult when speaking with Din, but does the group actually qualify as such? Here I will be laying out an in-depth analysis using Steven Hassan’s BITE Model of Authoritarian Control to effectively answer the question that Mandalorian fans have been asking since the beginning.
TDLR for those who do not want to read the entire post: no, it is not a cult.
*Please note, I will only be including tactics and traditions seen on screen in The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett, and therefore only delving into the specific subsect known as “Children of the Watch” or “the Tribe”, not the original Deathwatch or other sects.
First, a little background. What is a cult?
Most dictionary definitions of a cult read something like the following:
“a religious group, often living together, whose beliefs are considered extreme or strange by many people”
If we are going off of this definition alone, the question seems to have a clear-cut answer. The Watch is an orthodox religious sect, the members live together in a covert, and many characters throughout the series express confusion, disapproval, and judgment towards their beliefs. However, the issue is much more complicated and nuanced than this, as there are many facets to what makes an organization a cult. Thankfully, we have a very useful tool at our disposal: Steven Hassan’s BITE Model of Authoritarian Control. Created by Hassan in 1988, the BITE model aims to identify and flesh out a set of criteria characterizing dangerous cults and other authoritarian groups.
BITE stands for:
Behavior control
Information control
Thought control
Emotional control
Breaking down each criterion one by one, here is how the Children of the Watch measure up:
Behavior Contro
1.Regulate individual’s physical reality
The physical reality of individual Tribe members is significantly regulated. The group controls where its members live and what they may wear, demonstrating a degree of power over the physical realities of members.
2.Dictate where, how, and with whom the member lives and associates or isolates
Members of the Children of the Watch live together in compounds called coverts, where they remain hidden for their own safety. In Din’s covert, only one member of the Tribe is allowed to leave the covert at a time.
3.When, how and with whom the member has sex
We do not see any restrictions placed onto the Mandalorians when it comes to sex– though they are not allowed to show their faces or remove their helmets, there are realistic ways in which Mandalorians could still engage in Creed-compliant sexual activity (see: popular fanfiction tag “the helmet stays on”.
4.Control types of clothing and hairstyles
The Children of the Watch are very strict when it comes to attire, requiring members to never remove their helmets at risk of excommunication/exile. Once a member of The Tribe is old enough to speak the Creed, they are awarded a helmet that they may never remove in the presence of another living being.
5.Regulate diet – food and drink, hunger and/or fasting
We see no dietary restrictions, fasting, etc. implemented by the Children of the Watch.
6.Manipulation and deprivation of sleep
Though members of the Tribe likely may become sleep deprived while on missions or other outings, we do not see sleep deprivation intentionally utilized as a means of control.
7.Financial exploitation, manipulation or dependence
While members of the Children of the Watch maintain the ability to seek out their own employment (Din working as a bounty hunter, for example), we see the income earned from this work being presented to a spiritual leader within the organization. After Din is paid for collecting a bounty to the Guild, he extends the Calamari Flan and beskar that he earned to the Armorer. This implies a degree of financial control within the Tribe. I hesitate to include this point, though, as Mandalorians bring beskar to the Armorer not out of a sense of fear, obligation, etc, but because they believe they are returning it to its rightful spiritual owners. The beskar given to the Armorer is also often returned to members in the form of newly forged weapons and armor.
8.Restrict leisure, entertainment, vacation time
An argument could be made that the leisure and vacation time is controlled by the Tribe, as only one member is allowed to leave the covert at a time. This is not, however, done with the intention of authoritarian control– it is a matter of safety.
9.Major time spent with group indoctrination and rituals and/or self indoctrination including the Internet
Considerable chunks of time appear to be used for battle and combat training, which in this context can be viewed as ritualistic. There are also initiating rituals for young foundlings and apprentices, during which they recite the Creed and are given their first helmet which they may never remove.
10.Permission required for major decisions
We do not see members of the Tribe seeking permission from leaders for any major decisions. Though members may seek guidance from spiritual leaders such as the Armorer, they are not required to.
11.Rewards and punishments used to modify behaviors, both positive and negative
Rewards and punishments may be given within the Tribe, but they do not appear to be used to modify behavior.
12.Discourage individualism, encourage group-think
Members of the Children of the Watch are all required to wear standard helmets, and all are required to follow the doctrine of the Creed (walk the way of the Mand’alor). Still, despite these points, leadership within the group does not appear to discourage individualism or creative thinking. Helmets and armor are allowed to be personalized however the wearer sees fit, and the Creed itself does not facilitate group-think.
13.Impose rigid rules and regulations
The most rigid regulation members must follow seems to be regarding helmet-wearing. There are other fairly strict rules laid out by the Creed, such as those surrounding foundlings, the darksaber, and rulership over Mandalore. The Creed also lays out a number of other rules members must follow, but these are closer to a moral and ethical code than to regulations.
14.Punish disobedience by beating, torture, burning, cutting, rape, or tattooing/branding
There is no evidence of the Children of the Watch engaging in any violent forms of punishment against members.
15.Threaten harm to family and friends
We do not see evidence of the Tribe engaging in threats against the families or friends of members.
16.Force individual to rape or be raped
The Children of the Watch do not engage in this kind of behavior.
17.Encourage and engage in corporal punishment
There are no examples of corporal punishment being encouraged or practiced within the Tribe.
18.Instill dependency and obedience
The Tribe does not appear to foster dependency, but it does instill obedience among its members. Mandalorians who do not obey the Creed may be exiled.
19.Kidnapping
The Children of the Watch do not engage in kidnapping. They do take in foundlings, or children who have been abandoned or orphaned, but I do not believe this qualifies as kidnapping.
20.Beating
There is no evidence of beating being employed by members of the Tribe.
21.Torture
There is no evidence of torture being utilized as a means of control by the Tribe.
22.Rape
(See 16.)
23.Separation of Families
The Children of the Watch hold strong family values, especially honoring foundlings and their training. Though families likely became separated during times of war, splitting up families intentionally has never been part of the Creed. In fact, when told that Grogu must forgo attachment to become a jedi, Din states that this is “the opposite of our creed”.
24.Imprisonment
The Tribe is not seen to engage in systemic imprisonment of either members or non-members; though bounty hunters like Din Djarin likely lead to individuals being imprisoned, this is not representative of the group as a whole.
25.Murder
The ideology of the Children of the Watch, as well as many other Mandalorian sects, heavily revolve around war, weapons, and violence. Consequently, murder is normalized, and has become routine practice within the Tribe. At one point, when Din explains that he did not kill Moff Gideon, Paz Vizsla and the Armorer have the following interaction:
Vizsla: “Death would have been justice for his atrocities.”
Armorer: “This is true.”
Information Control
1.Deception:
a. Deliberately withhold information
b. Distort information to make it more acceptable
c. Systematically lie to the cult member
Spiritual leaders within the Children of the Watch do not deliberately lie, distort, or withhold information at any point we see on screen.
2.Minimize or discourage access to non-cult sources of information, including:
a. Internet, TV, radio, books, articles, newspapers, magazines, media
b. Critical information
c. Former members
d. Keep members busy so they don’t have time to think and investigate
e. Control through cell phone with texting, calls, internet tracking
The Children of the Watch do not minimize or discourage access to outside information through any means. Former members are exiled, but this does not appear to be related to management of information for the sake of control.
3.Compartmentalize information into Outsider vs. Insider doctrines
a. Ensure that information is not freely accessible
b. Control information at different levels and missions within group
c. Allow only leadership to decide who needs to know what and when
All members of the Tribe appear to have access to the same level of information; every member knows and has access to the Creed, as well as other crucial information. The Armorer does not have control over who knows what, nor does she compartmentalize information (from both inside and outside sources).
4.Encourage spying on other members
a. Impose a buddy system to monitor and control member
b. Report deviant thoughts, feelings and actions to leadership
c. Ensure that individual behavior is monitored by group
Members of the Children of the Watch are not encouraged to spy on each other. There is no evidence of buddy systems, reporting “deviant” actions, or monitoring within the group.
5.Extensive use of cult-generated information and propaganda, including:
a. Newsletters, magazines, journals, audiotapes, videotapes, YouTube, movies and other media
b. Misquoting statements or using them out of context from non-cult sources
The Children of the Watch do not have any sources of cult-generated information that we see, such as newsletters, holotapes, etc. There also does not appear to be intentional misquoting of non-tribe sources.
6.Unethical use of confession
a. Information about sins used to disrupt and/or dissolve identity boundaries
b. Withholding forgiveness or absolution
c. Manipulation of memory, possible false memories
If a Mandalorian confesses to removing their helmet in the presence of another living creature, they will be exiled from the Children of the Watch. Forgiveness and/or absolution are possible, but can only be given by bathing in the living waters on Mandalore. Information is not used to disrupt identity boundaries, nor to manipulate memory.
Thought Control
1.Require members to internalize the group’s doctrine as truth
a. Adopting the group’s ‘map of reality’ as reality
b. Instill black and white thinking
c. Decide between good vs. evil
d. Organize people into us vs. them (insiders vs. outsiders)
The Children of the Watch require every member to follow “the way of the Mand’alor” and adhere to the Creed, a doctrine laying out rules members must follow– as well as a singular view of what a “true” Mandalorian is.
2.Change person’s name and identity
Members of the tribe maintain full control over their names and identities.
3.Use of loaded language and clichés which constrict knowledge, stop critical thoughts and reduce complexities into platitudinous buzz words
The Children of the Watch does not appear to utilize loaded language and cliches to stop critical thinking. The phrase “this is the way” is a saying often used as a simple response to questions or as an affirmation, but I do not believe it is used to reduce complexities or stop critical thought.
4.Encourage only ‘good and proper’ thoughts
There does not appear to be any encouragement or discouragement of certain thoughts within the Children of the Watch.
5.Hypnotic techniques are used to alter mental states, undermine critical thinking and even to age regress the member
Hypnotic techniques are not employed by the Children of the Watch.
6.Memories are manipulated and false memories are created
We do not see any evidence of memory manipulation within the Tribe.
7.Teaching thought-stopping techniques which shut down reality testing by stopping negative thoughts and allowing only positive thoughts, including:
a. Denial, rationalization, justification, wishful thinking
b. Chanting
c. Meditating
d. Praying
e. Speaking in tongues
f. Singing or humming
While certain members are seen meditating, this meditation does not appear to be utilized as a tool to control thoughts. Din Djarin does use denial, rationalization, and justification when he comes to learn that his sect is considered extreme or abnormal, but these tactics do not seem to be systemic within the group.
8.Rejection of rational analysis, critical thinking, constructive criticism
The Children of the Watch do not appear to reject critical thinking at any point in the show.
9.Forbid critical questions about leader, doctrine, or policy allowed
At no point do we see questions being discouraged or forbidden by members or leaders of the Children of the Watch. All questions asked by members receive genuine answers, such as when Ragnar Vizsla asks why Grogu doesn’t wear a helmet, or when Din Djarin asks the Armorer about Bo Katan Kryze.
10.Labeling alternative belief systems as illegitimate, evil, or not useful
Other groups of Mandalorians are viewed as “illegitimate” by the Children of the Watch, as removing their helmets does not adhere to the way of the Mand’alor. This can be seen when Din Djarin first meets the Nite Owls: they remove their helmets, and Din immediately assumes the armor has been stolen and that they are not really Mandalorian.
11.Instill new “map of reality”
Members of the Tribe must adhere to the Creed, which acts as a “map of reality” and outlines what a “true” Mandalorian is. We also see this new “map of reality” discussed when Bo Katan Kryze asks the Armorer about the Mythosaur: Bo Katan says that she saw it under the living waters on Mandalore, and the Armorer simply tells her that “When you choose to walk the way of the Mand’alor, you will see many things.” This shows that members believe in a shift in reality surrounding membership.
Emotional Control
1.Manipulate and narrow the range of feelings – some emotions and/or needs are deemed as evil, wrong or selfish
At no point do we see emotions or needs deemed as evil, wrong, or selfish by the Children of the Watch. Most members do appear unexpressive and monotone, but this is likely due to the constant wearing of face coverings.
2.Teach emotion-stopping techniques to block feelings of homesickness, anger, doubt
We do not see any emotion-stopping techniques used by the Tribe.
3.Make the person feel that problems are always their own fault, never the leader’s or the group’s fault
There is no evidence of blame-shifting within the Children of the Watch.
4.Promote feelings of guilt or unworthiness, such as:
a. Identity guilt
b. You are not living up to your potential
c. Your family is deficient
d. Your past is suspect
e. Your affiliations are unwise
f. Your thoughts, feelings, actions are irrelevant or selfish
g. Social guilt
f. Historical guilt
Mandalorians in the Children of the Watch likely do experience some degree of guilt, as they are required to follow a strict moral code in the form of the Creed. However, these feelings do not seem to be actively promoted by leadership within the Tribe.
5.Instill fear, such as fear of:
a. Thinking independently
b. The outside world
c. Enemies
d. Losing one’s salvation
e. Leaving or being shunned by the group
f. Other’s disapproval
f. Historical guilt
The Children of the Watch engage in shunning, excommunication, and banishing. This occurs when a member of the group does not adhere to the Creed, for example by removing their helmet. By Creed, once a member is exiled they are no longer considered Mandalorian and may only seek redemption by bathing in the living waters under the mines of Mandalore.
6.Extremes of emotional highs and lows – love bombing and praise one moment and then declaring you are horrible sinner
Love bombing and extreme highs and lows are not utilized by the Tribe to manipulate members.
7.Ritualistic and sometimes public confession of sins

After analyzing each individual point on the BITE model and applying it to The Children of the Watch, I have come to the conclusion that no, Din Djarin’s covert is not a cult. Though the group is quite orthodox in its beliefs, it does not engage in authoritarian control over its members.

wtf is up with hao jingfang? was she planted in the fandom from the very beginning or...? her actions are so contradictory. is she a supporter of zzh or not lol
This is just my opinion but I think HJF was not actually a fan and just saw an opportunity to market her new novel and get a built-in fandom for it in the process. When she first talked about wanting to write a novel for Junzhe I think nobody really thought of the possibility that she was using them for clout because the first thing most of us knew about her is that she won a Hugo Award back in 2016, so it's like why would someone like her need to farm clout from a pair of BL actors? But when you take a closer look at her, she actually isn't all that at all. Like Flora (from twitter) said, none of her works have ever been adapted into film or television so why was she so confident that this one will? And while she seems to have prestige and is respected, she doesn't really have a following that genuinely looks forward to her works either. People seem to describe her works as the type of books people pretend to like because they're "serious and deep" and then immediately forget exist. The reviews aren't exactly glowing either, especially for her latest work. Her characters across all her works have about as much nuance and personality as a rotting corpse and her dialogues feel shallow and vacuous, nothing more than empty filler to pad up the word count. Who knows? Maybe she saw the kind of passionate following these webnovel adaptations get and decided she wanted the same kind of attention for her own work?
She must have seen an opportunity with GJ and ZZH's then-popularity. They've both said that they wanted to work with each other again and that they were interested in a sci-fi project. Usually BL actors (especially ones that get really popular as a ship) don't end up working together again but HJF is friends with Xiao Chu and it's possible she knows some things that made her confident enough to assume ZZH and GJ really did want to collaborate again in the future. At the time I was wondering where this woman was getting her confidence and it only made sense when I realized she was close to someone who has direct contact with GJ and ZZH.
So I personally think her motivations were always entirely selfish and she was only really using the two of them for clout. That's why when 813 happened she quickly distanced her novel from ZZH and then only backtracked when she noticed a huge chunk of the fandom was still on his side and when it seemed possible for him to get justice.
Also this is unverified information but there were leaked message logs showing that HJF allegedly tried to sell the adaptation rights for her novel back in Jan/Feb 2022 and wanted GJ to act in it. If those message logs are legit then it must mean her efforts fell through, but what's most interesting is that about 5 months later she suddenly went wild on weibo, attempted to start a smear campaign against GJ (they even had tags prepared beforehand, ready to plaster the issue all over hotsearch) and accused him of silencing her on social media. I have no idea why she thought that was even remotely believable to anyone with a working brain. Who does this dumb bitch think GJ is? The head of the CAC?
Anyway, this is just my opinion on her and her possible motivations. I have no idea if she's a CAPA plant or whatever, but even without all that and just judging her based on her actions alone, she's just a desperate clout chaser, a shitty human being and a mediocre writer.

Glee tag game
I was tagged by @annepi-blog, thank you!
1. Favourite season 1 episode: Okay, so the obvious answer is Laryngitis because it's one of the absolutely best Kurt episodes in the whole show. But I also fucking hate everything about Rachel's storyline but Rose's Turn alone does kind of give it the leg up to still be the best episode anyway.
2. Favourite season 2 episode: Oh I've got so many contenders for this one. I love Furt and the relationships we get to see between Burt and Kurt and Kurt and Finn. But then Never Been Kissed is just a classic with it being Blaine's first episode and Chris' acting in it is just so so incredible. Blame It On The Alcohol would be a higher contender because I love drunk Blaine and I actually really enjoy Finn in that episode, which isn't something that happens a lot for me until season 4, but the writer's biphobia that they push onto Kurt really ruins it. But I think the actual winner would have to be Prom Queen. I love Kurt in that episode and I love it being the first time we start to see that Blaine's not perfect, that he's a little broken, a little fragile. It's underutilized, but it really sets up so much of what makes Blaine my favorite character to write.
3. Favourite season 3 episode: Okay, we all know it's Michael. Like of course The First Time, On My Way, and Dance With Somebody are all great episodes that I really love. But Michael is the episode I rewatch the most. And part of my love for it is, a) the cut Want You Back scene, and b) believing Seblaine to be genuine, very close friends which makes the slushee incident so much more heart-wrenching. But it's still such a good episode, especially for me with my deep love of angst and Sebastian Smythe, it's really just the best episode in general. Plus it has the added bonus of having the one and only Samcedes duet so, yeah, it's the best.
4. Favourite season 4 episode: Diva and Feud are both a lot of fun, even if a lot of what happens in them is really ridiculous. Guilty Pleasures is such a good Blam episode. And I love I Do for the flirty and thirsty sides of Klaine we get to see. But I do feel like, once again, the angst lover in me has to go with The Breakup. The Scientist and Don't Speak are two of my favorite songs on the whole show. Everyone's acting in that episode is just so so good. Darren and Chris just knock it out of the park in every single scene, and I will never cease to be awed by them.
5. Favourite season 5 episode: I would probably say Tested, because I always love an episode where Blaine gets to cry. And I love Elliot and everything that he does for Klaine in getting them to communicate. And I love getting to truly see Blaine acknowledge his self-worth issues instead of them just constantly being buried and locked away. A lot of the episode is weird and difficult to watch but the conversation that Klaine have at the end will always be one of my favorite Klaine scenes. Other contenders were Bash, because I love Kurt in that episode and once again we get angsty Blaine. And then New York New York because its when we first get to see Klaine actively working to fix the problems in their relationship instead of clinging to the past so tightly that they crush it entirely.
6. Favourite season 6 episode: God, this one is hard because I'm honestly not sure there's any episode that I truly love. Like The Hurt Lockers are iconic, and I love Chris' acting in 2009. But so much of that season is just weird and almost pointless that I'm not sure I have an episode I like enough to consider my favorite.
7. Episode that makes me cry: I haven't rewatched The Quarterback since it aired because of how much it makes me cry. Tested and The Breakup also both hurt a lot.
8. Episode that makes me laugh: The Hurt Lockers for sure
9. Favourite tribute episode: Michael obviously. It's probably my favorite episode of the whole show in general and the songs are so well done.
10. Favourite Christmas episode: Ooof, I love them all for different reasons, but there's just something about Blaine going to New York with Burt to comfort Kurt that will always get to me so it's gotta be Glee, Actually.
11. Episode with the best songs: Ooooh, probably the mashup episodes? I'm not sure I can pick one but it would be a tie between Never Been Kissed and Mash Off.
12. Favourite sectionals episode: Oh, I'm torn between Special Education and Hold On To Sixteen. I love Quinn and Sam getting a duet, and I love Valerie, and I love Mercedes and Tina getting to sing Dog Days Are Over (maybe I just love the lack of Rachel solos, lol). But I do love the set list in Hold On To Sixteen, I love Quinn singing Control, I love Kurt and Tina and Mike all getting solo parts in ABC. And of course The Troubletones are just so good.
13. Favourite regionals episode: I've gotta say On My Way even if it's largely just for Glad You Came and Cough Syrup. The actual competition doesn't matter much to me, but the Karofsky storyline was handled really well and I love Sebastian's apology to Blaine and the New Directions, and it's just good in general.
14. Favourite nationals episode: I really love the set list for Nationals in season 3, but I hate Rachel and so much of that episode is all about Rachel and her choking at her NYADA audition and somehow convincing Carmen Tibideux to come see her anyway. But on the other hand while I don't love the City of Angels set list for nationals as much, I do love the fact that they were all Finn's (and Cory's) favorite songs. And I love Burt and Carole being there. And I love Throat Explosion (or at least John Baptiste) actually being very kind and respectful of Finn's passing. I like that they didn't just lean hard into the show choir rivalry there and let them actually be humans who recognize the pain of the McKinley team. Also Throat Explosion's set was really good too.
15. Episode most people like but I don’t: I might get killed by my Klaine friends. But Love, Love, Love? At the time it aired I was super excited about the proposal, but now as an adult, I really wish it hadn't happened, especially not like that. Like I get that it's romantic in that big grand gesture that Kurt deserves and Blaine would always want to give him. But. They hadn't talked about it! While Kurt guessed it was coming on the drive, it still didn't leave him with anyway to actually pull Blaine aside and talk about it. And with multiple other show choirs there, including Sebastian, can you really expect Kurt to be able to say anything but yes? Like I would have loved for them to have a quiet, personal proposal. To have Blaine ask and have them talk about it and whether or not they're ready for that. And then they could do the big thing. But instead we got Kurt not being given a chance to think about if this is something he actually wants, and it leads to a lot of problems in the future for them.
16. Episode most people dislike but I like: Probably Old Dog, New Tricks. Like it's a weird episode, admittedly. But we get some of my favorite things in it. We get Blaine being a sweet and supportive partner, we get Klaine being a team, we get Kurt calling Rachel out on how selfish she is, we get puppies, and we get Peter Pan. It's great. I have fun with that episode.

A surprise ask game! List 10 facts about your ocs and then tag 5 other people to learn things about theirs!
(I actually got this a little while back but forgot about it, since I'm getting tagged a lot this week, figured might as well do this one too now lmao)
I decided to pick 5 characters with 2 facts about each, as I have so many lol
1. Yoruga’s name, Yoruga Shirushi, is not his real name, but the name he chose for himself after leaving his birth family behind.
2. Yoruga is basically his bestie Kiyoi’s wingman, often helping him with his crush issues (and he does do the same with the said crush who’s also his friend lol. It’s basically that Toothless meme of hiccup being in the bush like “You’re doing great buddy!”)
3. Azul, (one of my older characters I haven’t drawn that much lately, I’ve abandoned my boy oh no :(( ) used to be single and not meant to have a love interest, but then I realized his dynamic with Diojas (another oc of mine) was far more fun than shipping Diojas with Azul’s brother, so I changed it lol
4. Azul has changed the least visually from his first appearance out of all of my characters; I only really upgraded his outfit somewhat.
5. Toshiko’s voice claim is Rukia from bleach; their personalities are somewhat alike, with both appearing serious at first glance, but also having this kind of awkward side to them.
6. Toshiko is often VERY embarrassed by her little half-sister Akiko’s shenanigans (they share the same dad but have different mums, their parents had/have a polyamorous pan relationship, which means the mums were a couple too, not just a case of a dude with two wives), though she does actually genuinely appreciate her efforts in trying to bond with her.
7. Jurou’s relationship with his mother was strained at first (this is a recent story update for his BG story I’ve decided to make, as the current one needs too much suspension of disbelief in some aspects) and he can still sometimes be a bit harsh towards her.
8. Designing him was super hard, but once I got it he became one of my favorite characters lmao, Spider Dad is just too much fun to draw
9. Belladonna is probably my most well-rounded villains so far, lot of her actions/reasoning feels fairly believable and human, namely bad choices/bad stuff humans can do willingly. It all also ties well to her personality and feels consistent without too much need for suspension of disbelief; I still need to work on the other ones more in comparison. (this is all stuff only in her bio so far, but I do want to draw some things pertaining to it eventually)
10. Belladonna is one of the few villain characters in this “story” that if this was a real manga/comic, she would not get redeemed in the end, namely because I feel her character doesn’t require it. Unlike some others, all the bad things coming her way were caused fully by her, by her own knowing actions, by her refusal to take responsibility, and even now she doesn’t necessarily regret them. (not saying you can’t redeem characters like this, but I personally wouldn’t feel the need to do that for her in my own story lol)

SuyaLight Master Post Part 15
I really like these two there’s not a lot of content for the fandom as a whole soooo here’s my submission as I get every moment of these two royals who literally share a braincell (and I love them for it) First up this is just on the manga if you are anime only its going to have stuff you havent seen, yes even with what the anime covers (so read it) and there will be spoilers so beware. If you prefer Demon Monk/Cleric/Leo (which I don’t really get) I am sorry this isnt for you. Lets go! Because he overused his second form Twilight is now in a childs body and two people are very interested in this
WHich Twlight is aware of.
He assumes his dad is disappointed in him, really he just wants to catch up on time lost, and that Suya has some sort of cruel plan, really she just wants to see two cute kids play.
So Twilight keeps running from the pair
So this just keeps happening
In the end Suya gets what she wanted.
A demon teddy has gone missing and is freaking out as she does, and Twilight does see her point.
In the end Twilight finds and returns with the Teddy and this is so cute
Suya joins Twilight in brushing Red.
A Princess Suya body pillow was illegally released and because it's got her on it she wants it but Twilight fears the reversed side will have a lewd image and doesnt want her or anyone else seeing it even though he's curious. It ends up being nothing but....
We continue the Suya has weird tastes arc.
Basically the people who made the Suya pillow made illegal merch for Twilight and Leo and she took it. I don't think she fully understands the implications behind the pillows. (But she does seem to have more Twilight merch) Anyway Leo doesn't like it and subconsciously takes the Twilight merch leaving his. Suya misunderstands the reasoning assuming Leo wanted the Twilight merch for his own use.
Suya has gone into full work mode and Twilight is the only one brave enough to ask why. Turns out a recently returned Incubus looks exactly like her father which tiggered an emotional response. In Suya's mind as long as she knows her fathers working she should be working.
While others think this new busy Suya is a good thing as she'll stay out of trouble Twilight isnt so sure.
As he knows what its like to have a tense relationship with a parent he's worried for her, while everyone else brushes it off.
His suspicions turn out to be true. And things get weird the issue is resolved when she sees the Incubus is nothing like her father despite looking similar.
Suya over hears (and misunderstands) a conversation Twilight is having and she vows to protect him because to her the great and powerful demon king is just and innocent boy
But its really just a sauna (pretty sure she saw him get naked) but Twilight just accepts the tag along
Really Musician just suggested the sauna twilight wasn't aware of to reduce some stress
Again she still thinks its dangerous cause she hasn't realized who he was talking to and she doesn't really understand saunas
After the sauna they rest by a pool
But she still thinks this is some nefarious plot and Twilight is starting to get concerned for her behavior
Its actually pretty sweet how she's so worried for him she's going against her nature.
Twilight confesses that he's also been worried about Suya after seeing her in dad guilt induced work mode.
Twilight goes on a very sweet tangent about how little he understands humans and he has so far to go for his goal and Suya is touched
Suya realizes it was wrong of her to assume Twilight needed her protection as he is a king/leader in his own right. I dunno this chapter was super sweet.
I like to think they had a conversation after leaving the spa about her misunderstanding and use it as an inside joke about visiting the sauna.

He's compassionate, though it's difficult for him to show it past his suspiciousness of strangers these days.

He struggles a lot with this one. He's learning to let it go.
Happiness: 4.5/10
It's hard to be happy without his twin around. He frequently feels very lost. However, he got four points here. One is for each of the people he loves that are still alive. Pilvi got an extra .5 for being open with him and for being his bind.
Politeness: 6/10
It depends on which culture you're measuring "politeness" by. By Misterican standards, he was well-mannered most of the time. His swearing habits would have knocked off a point or two. The rest of the deduction comes from measuring him by any other culture's standards and by behaviors learned during captivity. He hates eye contact, growls at strangers who get too close, and refuses to acknowledge a lot of people. Half of the Comodeen is pretty sure he'll bite if he's in a bad enough mood. They aren't wrong.
Chivalry: 0/10
Chivalry is a European concept. Therefore, it's a human concept. He is not human and does not abide by human codes of conduct. Any displays of "chivalry" would be purely coincidental and him just being himself.

He doesn't lie just to lie, but he won't tell most people details and he has a tendency to heavily filter out what he's actually thinking or feeling. He sees no issue with lying for his own safety if he has to.
Bravery: 7/10
Brave when it counts. I've got no choice other than to give him points here. He sat in the middle of a battlefield for crying out loud. His world was being destroyed and he went outside in the mess to go save someone he didn't even like that much.
Recklessness: 8/10
He's always been reckless. Now, he's even more reckless because he doesn't feel like he has much to lose. Two points deducted for days where he's terrified of everything and keeps his head down.
Ambition: 3/10
He spent the first 25 years of his life pretty much aimless. He really doesn't have any grand schemes or wishes for greatness. I gave him three points because he does work ridiculously hard at his craft regardless.
Loyalty: 10/10
It's near impossible for him to stop being loyal to someone. It's to a point where if he perceives that someone has been disloyal to him, he will remain loyal anyway whilst finding every way possible to blame himself. Truly, he's loyal to a fault.
Love: 7/10
His love is reserved for only a handful of people. To those people, he loves them fiercely. He would do absolutely anything for them.
Sense of family: 9/10
I took off one point due to his sense of family being "unconventional". It's extremely strong in him though. Family is his top priority, always.
Attractiveness: 9/10
Took off one point only because, like everyone else, he has things about him that would be deemed imperfect by conventional standards. When he's in decent health, he's extremely pretty. Kira held no punches in his design. He's too powerful. Icon for a reminder:
Agility: 4/10
My boy is clumsy as hell. He can fly though, which gives him some points over most humans. Not enough to give him very many.
Sex drive: -3/10
Anything of this nature would be a hellscape of triggers and impossible to navigate. He's running for the hills at even the mere idea. There is nothing anyone could say or do that would make this appealing to him. Just let him stay in his blanket nest.

BL ~ Drama Asks
Tagged by @biwichapas over two weeks ago (!) but thank you for thinking of me!
1. If you had to watch one drama forever what would it be?
This is too hard...maybe one of either Bad Buddy, To My Star (1&2), or HIStory 3: Trapped.
2. If you could change the ending of a drama which one would it be?
I have to say HIStory 3: MODC, of course, but maybe controversially I'd change He's Coming to Me. Hear me out: I cried. I cried SO MUCH when I thought Mes and Thun weren't going to get a HEA. I mean, it made sense... Mes was a ghost and Thun a human...how would this work? But the series handled that journey of grief really well so by the end I could accept it. BUT then they brought Mes back. Now, it would have worked if either a) he didn't come back at all and Thun could move on, fallen in love with someone else, and forever savoured that memory, or b) if Mes had come back as a human again - then they could have had a proper life together. As it was, coming back as a ghost still, there is an inevitability that their time together will end at some point when Mes does have to leave. I don't know... I was left unsatisfied because it was only a HFN.
3. Name your favorite drama and tell who your favorite character was.
The series currently top of my top ten list is Bad Buddy...so I should say that. Favourite character...ah this is hard...Pran? Maybe...
4. Name a drama you dropped within the first few episodes ~ we all have at least one!
Tharntype 2 (I just couldn't...), Peach of Time (partly availability issues, partly the prospect of not getting a HEA), Top Secret Together (it just got bad but I think it was a victim of the pandemic), and I have started Coffee Melody but don't know if I'll finish (It's slow and I don't have time for things that don't grab me).
5. Name a popular drama you’ve never watched and why?
I Told Sunset About You (and I Promised You the Moon). First it was availability issues, then I felt a bit wiggy about watching it because a) the characters are so young and b) I had heard it was a bit to 'real' for some people and I just didn't want to go through the angst.
6. Name a drama you regret watching.
I don't regret anything I've watched. I would have stopped watching anything that may have ended up being a 'regret watch'...so I guess I could just repeat those.
7. Name a drama you thought you’d never watch but did and did you end up liking it?
HIStory 2: Right or Wrong. It took me a while because I wasn't sure about the student/teacher dynamic...but it's a great series and the age gap/potential for abuse of power was dealt with well enough.
8. Name a pairing you want to see?
Well, I've been wanting to see Poppy in a lead for a long time and I have already suggested a polyship with him and the two Perths...but actually, thinking about it, I want to see TONG and POPPY together. Both EXCELLENT goofy/character actors but I believe could pull off something more mature and dramatic. So, yeah, them.
9. Name a pairing you didn’t think had chemistry?
Maybe controversial but I don't really think Jimmy and Tommy have chemistry, certainly not as Saifah and Zon in Why R U?
10. Name a pairing you have seen in another drama that you like?
I presume this means in a drama I haven't seen...but if I like the pairing I probably would have seen the series, so I don't really have an answer. Instead, I'll offer a few secondary pairings who I would like to see lead a series (the actors or the characters): Pitch and Bank from Golden Blood, Jack and Zhao Zi from HIStory 3: Trapped, and of course Ram and King from My Engineer.

i've been working on two things on and off and i can't decide how i feel about them
the first one is a claudia x elektra thing, but i might edit it more cause i've only recently got into writing elekt/ra and i've honestly written matt and fogg/y longer? elektra is a bit....reactive but i love her sooo, she'll be less reactive over time.
then the second is like, a more angsty piece about bb!cloud being interviewed by a detective prior to someone trying to capture her while she was being baby sat during a walk. it's for a prompt dealing with 5 important memories. tw for death and drowning. i've had this in my head since reading in 'br*ken h*rbor* like a few years ago - rhi knows this ksjfkdsf - and just never wrote down her reaction to it. it works for the m*rvel verses but like also in general her original story.

Typically she’s a shadow at big parties like these. Due to her upbringing with the Daviaus' and Delphine's assistance growing up, she’s always had a way with being able to blend in to the point where she’s unnoticed - unseen - even when she’s dressed to the nines.
The fact that she and Elektra are working together on this makes it hard though, since Elektra has a habit of working off script and doing what she wants in order to show her dominance. They’ve gotten far enough in this investigation due to both of their connections, but the issue is, now that they’ve got their man, Elektra is playing by her own rules and not by Claudia’s.
It’s annoying because Claudia’s always been one for talking before she does anything unnecessary, because typically talking gets answers. But Elektra is no bullshit and right to the point. Which means Claudia has to rework her entire way of doing things, and it reminds her of why she typically does stuff like this alone. It also reminds her that she's typically the one in Elektra's shoes, and Matt's typically the one in hers, telling her not to run before she walks. And well, she hates that.
And when Cloud’s finally had enough of her and Elektra's differences, she pulls the long haired woman to the side, and before she even gets the chance to say anything, Elektra gets on the defensive. ❝ It's like I ruined your birthday party or something. Stop with the faces. I'm not the bad guy here. You said this man’s part of an organization that’s kidnapping people and experimenting on them…I should be doing much more than roughing him around a little and making small threats,❞ Elektra stated, well practically spat, rolling her eyes at Claudia before taking Claudia’s hand off her arm. Claudia was unaware of Elektra's past, so she didn't really empathize with her all that much at the moment and was more-or-less just annoyed with her.
“I never said you were the bad guy. I just have a way of doing these things - a process. Talking first, then other...stuff.” Claudia looked over her shoulders to see if the man was still there as she did air quotes at 'stuff'. He was there still, thankfully. “I don’t think you’re the bad guy, okay? If you're the bad guy, I'm the bad guy, too.”
Elektra doesn’t respond, just gives another roll of her eyes before turning away to walk towards their man.
For a second Claudia thinks she’s going to let her do things her way, because Elektra is speaking and the man is speaking back to her. But then, well, then - Elektra kills him right in front of her of her eyes.
Claudia gasped and squinted, as though she's never seen a murder in her life. “We were supposed to get answers...” she bit.
"We received answers," Elektra protested. "And it's not like you weren't eventually going to kill him. You should be thanking me, not berating me."
"Why does everyone think I'm going to kill whoever gets in my way?" Claudia countered in French.
"Weren't you? Wasn't that the plan? Why you brought me and not my Matthew?" Elektra said back in perfect French.
Those few words make Claudia stare at her blankly, not having any words to say. As much as she's fascinated by Elektra, she's incredibly frustrated with with her, too. People typically don't have a fair read on her, but this one, even if Claudia hates to admit it, is a pretty close read. She did have ulterior motive. Of course she did.

“Do you remember what happened?” A detective asks her, head tilting to the side as she scribbles down notes into her long polka dotted notepad. The detective is beautiful, has curly brown hair and looks empathetic enough. She smiles appropriately and places her hand on Cloud’s shoulder, squeezing it before Cloud shutters and pulls away.
Quite honestly, Cloud doesn’t trust anyone with a notepad after having been to a therapist that tells her mother everything that she says to her. And honestly, she does not wish to speak to anyone for a long time. She wants to keep her silence, because she fears what’s to come if she breaks it. The word 'freak' etches into her mind.
So, she just chooses not to talk at all - chooses to take ‘her right to remain silent’ as she’s seen in all the detective films she watches and the books she’s read.
The woman leans forward, tries to make eye-contact as Cloud shifts her gaze away from her, but still mimics her body language. She shutters again, feeling the heaviness of the water in her chest all over again, and then she closes her eyes a moment and opens them.
“Anything at all? Do you remember what happened to Ivan? Do you remember anything about the man who tried to drown you?” she says calmly, making Cloud squint, despite the woman’s kindness.
As much as Cloud wants to say that the person who attempted to drown her, and had succeeded in drowning her older brother - her protector - was a woman, she does not.
Her throat dries up and a tear falls down her cheek instead. But she sits with her elbow on her knee like the woman does, and when the woman lifts a brow, Cloud copies her because she's a brave woman, and she wants to be brave, too.
“If you don’t want to talk that’s fine, but I know you can. I know it will make you feel lighter if you talk.” The woman pushes a piece of her own hair from her face and Cloud copies her. She does not say anything else.
Instead, she takes the notepad from the detective’s hands, and surprisingly the detective does not take away the notepad from her. So Cloud begins to draw a woman, a woman in a button up and slacks, because Cloud burned out the thought from her memory other than that and what happened to the woman later on.
Freak.
Immediately after she adds the final details to the sketch, and hands the notebook back to the detective. The detective smiles softly at her, says “Thank you” and walks away, leaving Cloud in her hospital bed wrapped in a blanket.
What Cloud doesn't tell her was the woman was after her, and that she was long past dead - little bits of dust in the wind around them by the time the police arrived. Cloud had done it, too. With her hands and...powers. That would make her an even bigger 'freak' than she already was, and she did not want to be made into a circus show, so she didn't express what had happened. She just knew she had done something 'bad'. Something so bad that she could feel her cheeks burning just thinking about it.

Well, empty room and myself, here we are again. Fascinatingly enough, I had this one ready a day after Chapter 5 and I just forgot it in my Documents 😬
But thankfully I remembered tonight!
And I even got Chapter 7 almost finished for no one to read but me (for about three times to edit) after I stopped using the 'Cal Kestis x Reader' Tag.
But hey, maybe some of you are silently reading along, and for my own sanity I will think of it that way! :D

When you heard the Droid's familiar beeps forming Cal's name, a huge wave of relief washed over you, smiling as you stood a bit behind Cal, planning to step next to him just when BD starts beeping with panic.
'Kyra!...she fell. She's dead!'
Could he not see you behind the ginger-
"What? No, BD. She was injured though, she was in a coma for a while, but here…look, just like you remember her. Mostly." He quickly explains, doing the part of stepping aside himself to reveal your anxiously happy frame. You simply couldn't believe your's and Cal's luck that all your work truly paid off in the end…
'KYRA!' His beeps rose in volume, jumping up and down on the workbench, already showing off his still functional liveliness as his ginger friend has to reach out on reflex, helping BD bridge his way over to your own shaky hands.
'I thought we were both…I saw you hit the rocks, but you really survived! You're truly undefeatable!'
You went to doubt that until proven guilty of charge, seeing as you most definitely would've died hadn't it been for Cal and Trilla immediately coming to look for you after you disappeared into the Ravine. Well, mostly Cal. He didn't leave you a second time, just like he had promised.
He didn't leave you to rot in a dark, shut-in place a second time…he wouldn't.
"Because I love you, that's why." He gently informs, strengthening your believe in the three of you, enveloping both you and BD in a finally reunited hug, the small Droid whooping excitedly. "It's been too long for us as well, buddy…I left you as well. Can you even forgive me...?"
BD repeats something akin to a hum as he attempts to tilt his head, the fresh joints still needeing to be used-in better, 'Does the work of the Inquisitors include adventure?' "Ye-" 'Because I am in regardless.'
You karking loved this quirky bucket of cables and electric devices and his ability to keep up with surprising you two every time anew.
"Are you sure…unlike us, you're not programmed with a moral compass, you're basically hardwired to follow Je-"
'You're wrong, Cal. I follow those who I trust with my life. Those that would never abandon me without reason.'
Chuckling warmly at his quick, mature response, you hug him closer to yourself, planting a peck on the top of his cold, metallic head, "You have a better and bigger heart than most of the people that I met during my long time alone before Cal…"
The Inquisitor in front of you could only nod and hum in agreement, holding out his arms once more for BD to jump back into, resuming his old spot withina few seconds of climbing over his buddy. Like nothing ever changed, just the outfits. You three are still you.
"Hey…Kyra... are you hungry?" Where did that question come from? – "My brain?" – But yes you are, the only thing you ate in the last 24 hours were these small empire-issued 'heat-up dogs'...and you doubted they had the same nutrients as that amazing Energy Bar Cal snuck into your hands back in the Infirmary.
"They don't, I can tell you with certainty. I felt like a wet, moldy mop after refusing to leave my quarters during my first week to socialize and eat at the canteen, eating basically nothing but these sausages in various forms." That sounds…horrible, your precious mate deserved good food, the very best food. Why did he hide in his rooms, they clearly accept him on the Base.
"Well, now. But back then I was 'the suspicious newbie'? Jedi willingly joining the Empire and especially the Inquisitorius is basically a fairytale to them, so be ready to keep getting these odd glares for a while…" You left the small closet, shutting the door behind you for now as Cal yawned and stretched his long limbs from the stuffy room, now clearly unbothered by the former way they looked at him. The distrust they must've shown in him, expecting him to turn on them because they never turned his brain into mashed veggies like they usually had to.
But knowing your Cal, he surely proved his loyalty in a way that was incredibly difficult to disprove afterwards. What if he stood out positively in a mission, helped in a way that a potential loss turned into a positive outcome?
"I helped them locate a potential, unfortunately now debunked Rebel Leader and Informant and at first…I felt bad for selling him out, I...once knew him." From Bracca? Or from his time with Cere, like that guy from the planet he ran into you? The one you nearly got killed for force-throwing his blaster away?
"I…I actually mean exactly him...he is still here, getting his mind turned inside out since months."
You felt the discomfort in his words, but as quick as they surfaced he had fully erased them once more, he felt no remorse or regret any longer. And you knew you couldn't in your new position.
"I killed him with this very lightsaber, my first confirmed kill as an Inquisitor…" He touched the unique lightsaber hanging off his belt as his thoughts told you everything you needed to know, Cal didn't feel any remorse because he reminded himself of one thing the whole time: That man had worked with the Rebellion. The very Organization…well, group, trying to revive and rebuild the actual Organization behind your suffering. Behind the hidden suffering of many, overshadowed by the apparent good they did.
"Exactly. By extension…it eased some of the real anger I have for the now fallen Order." Yet not for long, the death of a simple low ranked Informant wouldn't shake up the Rebellion as potentially one of their actual leading figures.
To the higher forces up at the top of every group or organization, that lowly Informant, the soldiers…you…you were all replaceable. Such a loss was nothing to them at the end of the day…
"But imagine taking out a whole Rebel Base." You suddenly add, with such ease in your words, it was hard to believe you once had been somewhat of a rebel yourself, almost not even registering that you had blindly followed Cal out of your Quarters and into the monotone gray Hallway. He obviously knew by now where to go, so you kept doing that as the conversation went on. Though you never expected such a subject between the two of you, such a dark one.
"It would harm them much more, yes. But I think you know without me having to tell you how the Inquisitors' missions get planned and set." So much more useless stuff would be done instead, got it boss.
Holding each other's gloved hand, like the cliché couple you had wished to finally be, you reach the upper floor that, from Cal's words, also held the Canteen. Just one Canteen for such a huge base seemed a bit... inefficient in the long run though, was there even enough spots for every person and staff? What about these Troopers just on their way through that got hungry?
"You think about way too much...way too deeply, dragonfly. As long as we get something to eat and somewhere to sit, there is nothing to worry about." Your loud, grumbling stomach audibly made you agree as you gasp at the sight in front of you as you wondered even more how Cal was able to avoid this place for a whole week.
The initial question of how they fit everyone on here into one canteen was also wiped away on the spot when you saw the sheer size of it. It was even multi-layered with huge windows to show the surrounding Ocean you're all under. Let's hope nobody on Nur had a karking Phobia of the Ocean.
Or that the material could slowly lose quality under the water's constant pressure on it-
"Grand, isn't it? Come, I'll show you where we can order food over the course of the day. The menu changes everyday but let me tell you ahead of time, the choices are going to be nothing extraordinary usually." Who cares if it was extraordinary or not, you simply hoped it's more filling than those stupid, suspiciously pink sausages!
Cal pulls you to the sides, away from the middle area that was clearly reserved for eating, some just regular benches and tables while some instead were more akin to small separate and more private lounging areas with a square table at each. The canteen had probably the most personality of everything on Nur till now, like someone totally different designed this area than the rest. Alone the mesmerizing view from the overhead window view kept you looking up while walking, bumping into your taller lover as he stopped suddenly. Only when you looked back down to see why he stopped, did you realize that you're standing in a line now. There were multiple across the canteen's two sides, but this one was significantly shorter.
"This line is reserved for us, Inquisitors, and the higher ranked Purge Troopers…but I can't really tell you if our food is any different, never truly felt inclined to try from the other lines." Just as he said those words, you noticed a familiar hairstyle a few Troopers ahead of you two. Trilla.
Your compassionate side, the one that tried befriending people to make your life easier, wanted to talk to her, to maybe ask if she wanted to eat together, try to warm up to her and give her the chance to do the same with you. But you quickly shook that thought away again, returning to focus on the warm feeling of Cal's hand, having to remember that it probably didn't work that way on Nur. Or anywhere else within the Empire. Or most places in the Galaxy...
Would you find any other friends besides Cal and BD-1 on this watery Rock?
"We can talk with Trilla once you're allowed to train with the rest. I remember her very clearly challenging you anyways, she takes those…way too serious, such promises." Cal told you, also shortly eyeing Trilla now from behind, BD copying the both of you as he tried to look over his friend's shoulder without slipping by accident, still getting used to the new legs. 'Is she really our friend?' BD asks the real questions sometimes, leaving Cal without an answer shortly before he sighs, "I don't know myself to be honest. Sometimes I think she is, the next day she's such a karking prick again."
Did anyone ever tell Cal that some rare types of friends show their affection through playfully rude gestures, that not just you specifically function that way? Trilla probably doesn't even know anymore how to be nice, it's not like she came here willingly like you two, she was mentally broken and basically forcfullu reshaped to take the Empire's Orders.
"You got a real grim way of looking at this." But are you wrong about your way? You highly doubted many of the Inquisitors still even knew what a good joke was. And yet it was wrong to think of them all like that, having only met Trilla, of them all, personally – and that a mere handful of times, two still as enemies as well – so who are you to judge them by the things you heard about them. Told to you by people supporting the Rebellion, to add on top of everything.
Every opinion of every thing was to be taken with a grain of salt. In the end, you had to make your own experiences with people and other things to paint a good, well-rounded picture for yourself.
Absolutely everything depended on one's personal point of view – no matter if it is morally wrong, good or in the various gray areas – which sometimes was easier and sometimes harder to find.
"Okay, riddle me this, what kind of karking meat do you want, Philosophicus?" Well, at least your drifting thoughts were probably educational in some way, unlike other's thoughts that spun around nothing but drooling over today's menu choice and…you. The thoughts about 'you' did make you blush though…
"I can't understand how you aren't drooling, are you okay? Are your stomach and brain separate entitie-" He stops himself before you do it yourself, side-eyeing him worried. Was the human brain and stomach…physically connected? You thought the stomach can only control emotions.
"Stop thinking about it, Please. I see my mistake, okay?" He chuckles embarrassed, hiding his face between your shoulder and head as you pat his head, messing up his red locks in the same moment, a smile creeping on your face at the sight, "Happens to the best of us…"
The food was, just like he warned you, not exactly special in the overall taste. But it tasted much more healthy than whatever 'heat-up dogs' are karking made of – "I hope it's less than three Meat Types.". And an actually cooked, hearty meal made your conversations flow much deeper now than those during quick snacks between tinkering, basically ending up in the side-quest/challenge of 'Who can chuck down this cylindrical, floppy fabricated mess and mass of mystery meat quicker'. Thanks to your…totally natural advantage…you usually won that.
"Just say that you wouldn't even have a gag-reflex to save your life!" Cal jokes before gently bumping your shoulder for your attention, nodding over the comfy wall of the lounge you sat in, "See them over there?"
He means the group of regular Troopers over there, from the way his thoughts spun. You knew that the Clones were allowed to take their helmets off while on break or when there was no significant conflict at the horizon, so seeing the Troopers also do the same didn't surprise you as much, shortly watching them chat and munch on their sandwiches before lowering yourself back onto your spot on the more comfy looking bench. "Yeah what about them?"
What he did next, you really hadn't expected from Cal, the ever behaving, calm one of your trio. He took one of the plastic straws issued to your soft drinks and…a salt pea.
"Watch me."
And you did, like a mischievous moth to a flame, anticipating the outcome as he quietly blew through the straw and the pea hit its target on the spot. The back of one of the Troopers Heads.
Quickly he forcefully pushed you both back down, heads ducked down and chuckling into your gloves as the shot Trooper grunted in annoyance, noisily dropling his cutlery. "Who was that?! Show yourself if you got any balls!"
Wide eyed, you continue to giggle to yourselves as BD jumps on the table, looking at the yellow vegetables Cal just used for his childish ammunition, 'This can't hurt them?' He asked perplexed, instantly having gone to scanning them – proving also that Cal did in fact manage to fix that as well – as you shook your head, still working on the fact that Cal did the same thing you did as a Padawan once upon a better, calmer time.
"Want to try too?" There is no try, there is only do. So you took the straw confidently from his open palm as he held it out to you, sucking some salt peas up yourself, BD watching once more in high interest, using Cal to look over the benches as well when you spied your own targets on a different side of the lounge.
Some researchers, poor bastards wouldn't even know what hit them...
One by one, you blow back through the straw, barely seeing the peas fly as they were too quick when yours also hit their mark perfectly. Now someone bald had five mushy, yellow spots on his dome, his fellow Co-Workers quickly looking around for the culprit.
But in the meanwhile, you're already too busy keeping your cackling to the silent type with your mate, holding onto each other and the table for stability as Cal replayed the peas' impact, both of you repeatedly starting to laugh again until you had managed to calm down. "Kark, I love being able to act like a kid again, Cal. Had I done this anywhere else I had been in these last four years, I wouldn’t have made it out of that town or settlement without a mob at my tail…
Though you doubted you would stay unpunished here either if you were unlucky and found out as the pea-sharpshooters, so you had to stay as quiet and careful about these little funny moments as possible.
You finished your tablets of food in a more civilized manner after that, occasionally still having to chuckle a bit at what happened beforehand but ultimately it was a calming lunch. Even if it was in a canteen, you kinda liked it more than when you had to eat on the Mantis. Probably because despite the food here being served rather heartlessly in presentation and all, it still tasted a lot better than whatever Greez cooked up to three times a day. Which isn't that hard, Cal immediately thought when he heard yours, but still. You had been at many Canteens, just like Libraries basically, and usually it was always the same problem: The cooks didn't know what seasoning is, probably can't spell it either, or that some meats just taste like shoe leather if cooked all the way through.
"Well yeah okay, they season the food well here though, don't they?" Cal asks in regards to your thoughts, carrying his dark gray tablet to one of the carts as you follow close behind with yours before you make your way to the exit again, the same way you came before, having a hard time ignoring the less suspicious but more...surprised stares, mostly at your non-human features.
"I like eating spicy, you already know that. So yeah, this Firebean Rice was really good for example!" How are you two still able to talk about food with basically being about to be rolled out of here from the mountain of food Cal ordered onto your tablets?
But he quickly took you away from food related thoughts when he mentally bumped you for your attention before looking where he had been looking moments before. Trilla, again.
She was eyeing the small Droid on Cal's Shoulder, but it was hard, no, near impossible to read her emotions from the mixed signals she was sending in general. Was she intrigued why he was suddenly back in working order, angry, confused? Would she tell the Grand Inquisitor about BD? And if she did, what would they do with the small Droid then?
"Come, we shouldn't linger. We can ask her tomorrow, you just got the okay for your Training Restrictions being lifted, look." He was too good at changing the subject when he showed you his small HoloPad, a mail by the Infirmary, specifically Dr. Puloria, explaining the next steps addressed at you and how much you're allowed to do while training again.
It's been about time you could let out some anger physically again, you hadn't trained right since months! The news excited you enough to get steered out of the Canteen by Cal, away from Trilla's odd, unreadable stare until you finally reached the Elevators.
"Will you train with me tomorrow then?" "Of course I will, Dragonfly, someone has to make sure you don't overdo yourself again immediately." While that was his official answer, which he was okay with others hearing, his thoughts were a slight bit different.
He wanted to see how you would fare against the other Inquisitors, against him. He wanted to see just how strong you could be if there was nothing to hold you back, actually.
While you couldn't use your wings yet to for example dodge through the air, fly up to do aerial attacks and so on, you're still far more equipped to do good damage even without a new lightsaber yet.
"I just realized I never saw you fight with your own Lightsaber…I only saw it shortly before I left." And before that, the only way he had been able to see you fight enemies was with your claws, teeth and horns. Theoretically you didn't need one, but he knew and felt the bitterness of losing it again eating at your mind. Now to Cere, of all possible people.
But the training halls had "stock Lightsabers" for training anyways. They remembered him from his and probably your time at the Temple, the lightsabers weren't able to hurt your opponent lethally, just bruise and slightly burn them. Pair that with the Inquisitors' and Purge Troopers protective gear, it wouldn't be more than a tingle. Enough to learn new techniques and to spar against another.
"I won't need one anyways tomorrow. I had to fight without one many times and my long-ago ancestors didn't even have them."
So tomorrow...you would show the honor for what they gave you for being a proud Kaluk. You had to show what they were capable of!

5 works in 2022
Well, I only posted like 4 works total in 2022 so I’ll rank them lol.
1. You Have To Chase It: My Merlin Twitter fic that I did for glompfest 2022. Or, Immortal!Merlin goes on Twitter to complain about his dead king. Unrelatedly, Arthur joins Twitter. This was a labor of love done in the midst of finals and I genuinely think it’s the fic im most proud of out of everything I’ve ever written. It makes me very very happy lol.
2. Chapters 7-9 of You, Servant!: okay this is kinda cheating because it’s technically still a wip, but I had a horrible period of writers block between chapter 6 and 7 and I’m just so proud of myself for getting back into it and churning out some of, imo, the best chapters of the story.
3. Questions: or my ace!Arthur and grey ace!merlin fic set around The Changeling. Listen, I am NOT a short form writer by any means. My brain doesn’t work like that usually. So, to my surprise, I was so so happy with how this one came out. It was a valentines mini exchange fic and my giftee liked it, so that also made me very happy.
4. The Little Things: I made a post earlier in the year that got a lot of traction and wrote a little drabble based on it that was sitting in my wip folder for so long and I had some future plans for it, but just couldn’t find the time to write more, so I posted it. I think it came out great and I’m still hoping to either return to it one day or hoping that maybe someone else will do something with it Lolol.
4 WIPs I’m excited to post in 2022
1. My RTGE fic that I still haven’t posted but have about 3 chapters for. It was supposed to be a simple prompt, but kinda turned into a s1 rewrite. Oops. I really really love where it’s going so far though.
2. The rest of You, Servant! This will be my first ongoing WIP that I finish and I swear I will finish it if it kills me. I’ve had the ending planned for almost two years now, it’s just about getting it written.
3. A series of snippets set in the You Have to Chase it universe. Aaaaaand a possible sequel. I have Plans hahaha.
4. Futuristic Merthur Soulmate AU: I have a vague idea of where I want this to go and a few plans for how I want to write it, but I probably won’t get to it until later in the year. It will probably be my next big project though.
3 things I’ve improved on
Ughhh i think one of the biggest issues in my writing is syntax. Sometimes the words just sound right to me but don’t sound right to anyone else. But I think I’ve gotten a lot better at being more concise and getting rid of clunky descriptions/dialogue. I also think I’ve gotten better at writing romance, which was very hard for me for a long time. I think I was just worried that anything I wrote would be too cheesy, but then I realized that romance is cheesy. That’s kind of the point. Last thing is I’ve gotten better at not using em dashes every four lines. Like I still use them a lot, but not as much.
2 resolutions
1. I want to get to a point where I don’t have to reread what I’ve written four hundred times before I settle on something I like. Just two hundred times is enough.
2. I want to be able to incorporate more motion in my dialogue scenes. I’ve always admired people who could make a scene feel grounded and alive while their characters are speaking. I want everything to move and breath and vibrate like it does in real life.

H. J. Harding’s Fact Free Conspiracy Theory
Okay, so bear with me on this one. It takes a little lead in. This is absolutely true.
Last Monday, I had to take my Dad to his doctor’s appointment, early-ish in the morning. My sister tagged along in hopes of breakfast. It is important that you know that there are five people in my household and only two cars. I own one, my mom owns one. Dad doesn’t trust himself to drive anymore, and my brother and sister can’t drive.
I had a bad night, and wanted to go home, hopefully get a little more sleep. We had breakfast after the appointment. Afterwards, we started to leave. My car wouldn’t start. I turned the ignition, the lights and radio came on and there was a quiet click. Nothing else.
This wasn’t the first time my car had that issue recently, and previous times it restarted after a few times or we gave it a break and came back later. By now, it’s almost 11:30. After lots of attempts, it isn’t turning on, so we decide to give it until noon. It didn’t work at noon. I called roadside assistance, and they offer to send someone who can check the battery and give me a jump. I tell them I don’t think it’s the battery, but they still think this is a good idea. I said fine, because a tow truck that can check battery isn’t the worst option.
It’s worth noting that we were actually only about three miles from home right now. My sister has actually walked it sometimes. My dad is disabled and can’t walk. If we need a tow, we can’t fit everyone in the truck.
About 1 o’clock or so, I’m being asked about my service. Since no one showed up, I’m not particularly pleased with it yet. I call in again. I don’t know details, but they send someone else to my location. He arrives at 2. He does not have a tow truck, only a battery evaluation tool, whatever it’s called.
Funnily enough, it isn’t the battery. He can’t do anything for me.
I call it in again, and ask for a tow truck. They said about 3:30. I get my sister to download Uber and get herself and our dad home. Tow truck shows up at 4. Car starts properly, unlike the 60+ times I had tried earlier.
I go home. The next day, I get my mom to help me take it to the garage. Wednesday night they tell me that they can’t reproduce the issue and can’t do anything about it, so I might as well pick it up. So I go to pick it up. The garage is closed by now. Car starts. But we have to put something in the trunk, and I have to stop the engine to do that. Car doesn’t start up again.
We leave the car. Thursday, my mom works 9-5 and my brother works 10-2. Mom has me borrow her car to drop them both off and pick them both up. We drop Mom off first, and my brother and I get some breakfast and wait in the parking lot of his job. Again, I didn’t sleep well and want to go home and rest.
He leaves, I go to start the car. Lights come on, radio comes on. Car makes a series of clicking sounds and doesn’t start. Repeatedly. I call roadside assistance. They send someone with battery tool and a tow truck. It’s about 11, 11:30. Car starts up.
He uses his tool and says it looks like the car has a bad alternator. It might be able to get me home (and that’s not a guarantee), but there’s only a 50/50 chance it will start again.
I take it home, passing on the message to my brother that he’ll have to Uber home. I tell my mom that I’ll try to pick her up, but that might not work and we’ll have to put her car in the shop.
Garage tells me that they still can’t reproduce the problem, but it’s probably the starter, and they suggest replacing it.
Mom’s car works when I go to pick her up. We do not stop the car as we go to the garage and pick up my car with new starter. Neither of us dare shut off our cars until we make it home.
Mom doesn’t want to put her car in the shop until we’re sure that mine is reliable, but it conked out completely on Friday. My car has been working, she’s still waiting to get hers back. It was the alternator.
In conclusion, car demons are real. And they hate me.

hello everyone! with the death of picloadr and now apparently tampermoneky too i’m very happy to say that i’ve found an alternative for both that can be used to keep a promo queue running! i hope i’ve explained everything clearly enough bellow the cut but if you have any questions for need anymore information then i’m only a dm away! PLEASE REBLOG THIS IF IT HELPS, I’M WANTING TO HELP AS MANY FOLK AS POSSIBLE WITH THIS (LASt UPDATED 3rd JAN 2022)

somethings that have come up in some of the issues i’ve helped resolve:
there sometimes can be a bit of a delay between the queue posting and the new queued post appearing, up to 10 minutes is the longest i’ve heard about so far
if the action isn’t working when first deployed try disconnecting and reconnecting a few times, if problems persist going in to edit the action and changing the trigger from any new post to new photo post can resolve the issue too
so first up! you’re going to want to be signed into tumblr on the account that has the promo blog you’re wanting to use, easy enough and i’m guessing if you’re reading this you know how to do that so no screenshot for this. you’re also going to want to post at least one and draft at least one promo on the blog to have as reference and also to trigger this whole process. once you’ve done that, that’s us done with tumblr for the moment!
now the site we’ll be using to reload our queue is called ifttt (if this then this) and it allows you to set up simple little automations for many sites and a few other things? i’m not too sure. we just need it to work with tumblr and it does!
so first things first you’re going to want to make an account, now you might be able to tell from the start for free button that there is a premium account available but luckily for us everything we want to do is achievable with a free account (unless you want to have more than 5 automations set up, but multiple accounts can do the same).
clicking on start for free brings you to this screen where you’re going to want to click at the text bellow the buttons to sign up with an email. best thing is, it works with the + trick for gmail emails.
that brings you to this screen and we’re just going to want to ignore all that and click up on the top right to skip right past it for now.
that’ll bring you to here! now it might prompt you with a popup about a trial of the premium version but you’re just going to want to dismiss that and then click up on the top right, create.
and now you click on the add button. which will bring up the screen that will let you connect ifttt to tumblr.
here, you could scroll for an age to find tumblr or just search for it. either way click on tumblr.
from the options on the screen above you’re going to want to click on this one.
which will then prompt you to connect with tumblr, now the process that follows will be very similar to anyone who used picloadr or any other tool that works with tumblr but i’ll still walk you through it.
yup! that’s all it is! just one popup where you’re going to want to allow ifitt these permissions.
okay, i lied. it wasn’t just one... but this ones easy! all you need to do is select your promo blog from the drop down menu and click update.
and that will bring you back to here! our first building block is in place, now for our then that and a process that is very similar to picloadr in a lot of ways.
picking tumblr as a service, same as before, you’ll be brought to this screen.
where you’re wanting to pick this option.
which will bring us to this
which will bring you here. and now this is where we return to tumblr to get the image url of your promo graphic from the one you posted earlier.
you’re going to want to paste that url in as shown above, ie. with no curly brackets. and now back to tumblr! now we want to get the html of the post body of your promo.
again you’re going to want to ignore the curly brackets and just paste straight in overwriting everything.
now for the tags, this is pretty much explained on the page but just separate them out with commas and onto the last input
select add to queue from the drop down and then that’s us almost done setting things up!
click create action and it’ll bring you back to here.
here you can see it all set up! i’ve zoomed out to get it all on one screen but all you need to do now is click continue.
bringing you to this screen, you can keep the default title or type in your own: once you’re happy just click finish and that’s you finished on ifttt.
you’ll see this screen once it’s been published, the bit highlighted in yellow is how you can turn it off and on, once triggered you don’t need to do anything to keep it going. and up in the top right, highlighted in green is where you click to bring up the editor for the action.
and now back to tumblr, remember how i said to draft a promo post back at the start? now you’re wanting to post it! once its posted, if you’ve done all this right, you’ll spot a post in your queue! one ifttt just queued up for you!
