International Pokémon Care and Adoption Exhibition (IPCAE)
Event dates: August 28th-September 3rd. Location: Veilstone Convention Center, Veilstone City, Sinnoh. Run by: @floaroma-sanctuary Details: This event is aimed at Pokémon sanctuaries, rescues, daycares, adoption centers, shelters, etc. to come together and share knowledge and make connections as well as an exhibition of any Pokémon they may have available for adoption. It's also meant to educate the public as well and will have several different lectures, hopefully targeting different age groups.
The event is "officially" hosted by the Pokémon Care Collective, an international Pokémon care union that coordinates communication between different facilities and with authorities like the Rangers Union, and it standardizes care practices and education to make it accessible.
Needed: - General Attendees - Lecturers - Runners of Pokémon Care blogs!!!
Stakes: NO STAKES! It's supposed to be a fun, light-hearted event that hopefully opens up the floor for connecting with other blogs with similar concepts or adoption storylines.
No planning Discord, but you're welcome to contact the blog above if you have any questions or ideas to add! It's a looser format, so feel free to run wild. Just keep in mind it is focused on Pokémon care! It's a completely open event, so anyone can participate!

It's only day two, and I've already had to decline someone adoption over them clearly being only in it for getting a rare variant that's also shiny, not actually caring about the needs of the pokemon. A major red flag with people trying to adopt Unown is when they insist on calling them 'wall decals'.

Adaptability
Adaptability:
1. A pokemon ability that increases the power of moves of the same type as the user. Common species with this ability include porygon, basculin and eevee.
2. The ability to acclimatise efficiently and fast to changed circumstances
The umbreon tent at the Opal City Eevee And Evolutions Event is a good place to be, Go thinks, even though it’s early. The darkness means it’s refreshingly cool compared to outside, the ‘dark night’ coffees sold by the door are both delicious and immensely caffeinated, and the newly-evolved Instinct umbreons are sleeping (for once) in relative silence. It’s so early, in fact, that there’s only one other guest in this row. They’re pretty short, with red hair, lots of piercings and wait a minute-
“Uh, Amelie?”
Her eye flicks briefly towards him.
“Hello, Go.”
Oh. Great. He turns to look at what she’s eyeing.
It’s a good specimen from a show perspective, Go can tell. The eyes are bright and cheri-red, the coat ink-black and glossy, and the thick gold bands from evolving under a full harvest moon have a soft but powerful glow. It’s a pretty attractive pokemon for a team who deal in stolen goods, so Go braces for a knee to the stomach and hopes someone will call for security before he hits the ground.
When a minute has passed with no attack he dares to crack an eye open to look at her.
“Picking good ones to steal later? They’re all tagged and chipped you know-”
“No.”
“Planning to steal the prize money?”
“Not really.”
“Then why are you here at an eevee convention?”
She fixes him with a look and- oh.
He’s suddenly very glad Spark stayed behind. Arceus only knows the carnage that would result from him, her boss and hundreds of eevee all in the same place.
Anyway, Go, focus.
There’s no members of the public admitted right now, but there’s still a handful of breeders primping their umbreons before the gates open, and although he’s got over a foot of height on her Go doesn’t think for a minute that’ll stop him from being handed his ass if things get dicey. (Amelie did focus solely on his uninjured side when they met after the last big fight though, so that was… thoughtful? Less brutal than the majority of Rocket?)
The point is, it’s early, there’s no high-level trainers anywhere nearby and a member of Team Rocket is next to him at an Eevee Exhibition. So what should he do?
Go shrugs.
“Want to get breakfast?”
“So,” Amelie asks when they’re sat near a food stand fifteen minutes later, “Why are you here?”
He shrugs, chasing the last pieces of tamato berry around the tray.
“Some of the special entrants in the main exhibition are from Instinct Hatcheries, like that flying-type eeveelution, the dual-type vaporeon and, uh… Dumpling the shiny kit? Do you know about him?”
She nods and - wait, of course she’ll know about Dumpling, given who her boss is. Go’s certain that despite the frequent recorded visits from Mystic One on file at the kit’s hatchery, Leader Blanche themself has never actually set foot in the place.
He continues, regardless. “Because of the ties Instinct have with a lot of the organizers, we- as in, high-ranking Instinct Trainers – got special passes for the event.”
Go’s not entirely sure why he got one, really. Okay, yes, his name is down on paper as Instinct Two, but he’ll be the first to admit that compared to any of Spark’s Elite Four he’s way behind. Why is he here again?
He’s always been good at rolling with the punches, though, literal or otherwise. He’s adaptable.
(In this job, with his boss, you need to be. Otherwise you just might not survive.)
The theory goes:
A standard, purebred eevee with no external influences will evolve in accordance with its environment - one who lives wild by a lake and hunts for food in the water will tend towards vaporeon, habitats of warm homes as cherished pets create sylveon, those raised on spiritual sites or alongside psychics evolve into espeon (and everyone knows not to leave kits near the psychic Gym Leader of Saffron City unless, for whatever reason, you want a rambunctious feline unable to manage its considerable newfound strength back right after).
Even amongst the same species there are further physiological variations. The rare wild leafeon studied in arctic tundra environments have stubby near-black leaves with a waxy finish, slow metabolisms, and a secondary ice-typing. Amongst professional breeders and co-ordinators different leafeon with unusual foliage, such as delicate ornamental leaves or chubby cacti greenery, are a hit. The reigning Kalos Queen making an appearance even has an exquisite rose leafeon as her signature companion - far too finicky for the average trainer, too fragile for regular battling. And yet, much like a wild eevee and its evolution, it’s perfectly adapted for its current environment.
(Go figure, Go thinks as he takes a high-speed rose to the face at the front of the crowd, Amelie looking suspiciously like she’s trying to hide a smile).
But the environment is only half the puzzle. If exposed to a standard water stone, a wild eevee will undergo rapid evolution into what most would consider a ‘classic’ vaporeon – neck frill, aqua blue colouring, finned tail - even if its habitat is a frozen plain or an electrified cave.
So, as Annie had explained to him over one of the few dinners Spark or Zapdos (is there a difference, really?) hadn’t been able to crash and burn, the leading theory is that the eevee ignores its previous adaptations and rapidly adjusts in order to cope with a sudden influx of energy the stone contains - similar to how other species can go years with no sign of pending evolution but then once exposed to the right conditions, boom, a distressed golem is now stuck in your bathroom.
“Look,” she’d said, dragging out a tablet from her purse, “The main idea is the stone itself is a strong energy source – the eevee suddenly adapts to this exposure and the energy drives the evolution to completion in seconds, but because most of these stones are similar in chemical composition the final vaporeons are also pretty identical.”
Huh, he’d thought, so that’d been why Mystic had requested a large number of eevee kits a few months before, and why so many of their high-rank trainers had similar vaporeons on their teams now. He’d assumed it was just for the team aesthetic, really, but they must have been adopted out once the research programme had wrapped up.
Annie had continued, nearly knocking over her glass as she’d gestured at the screen.
“But then we’ve got to consider that items such as Razor Fangs and Claws are similar energy sources, or possibly catalysts. We now know certain stones and trading systems count as an energy source because of the thermodynamic profiles, but how does that link to items such as Reaper Cloths? Wild dusknoir and escavalier have to come from somewhere, Go!”
It had been interesting when he’d read over it later, after walking her home – or at least, back to Mystic HQ. Aside from cases such as nidorina and nidoqueen, Instinct typically ignore the evolution status of the pokemon used for breeding to focus mostly on IVs and moves, so browsing Annie’s notes had helped show a whole new side of the story, and they’re a lot easier for a novice to read than Leader Blanche’s, that’s for sure.
There was something similar to this topic in one of his college classes actually - a certain level of energy is required to allow a reaction to occur, catalysts open up different reaction pathways with lower energy requirements, if energy isn’t available from an external source then internal energy will be used instead, and so on. Currently known sources, according to Mystic research, include electromagnetic waves during trading, certain geological features, and – if the ongoing research on eevees is any indication - evolutionary stones as well. So now Annie’s research involves looking at possible wavelengths emitted, triggering the use certain items and further analysis of evolutionary stones. (He winces on Professor Willow’s behalf. Those items aren’t cheap, after all, and Go may no longer a completely-broke student but he won’t be casually dropping ₽10,000 on a stone that will never be anything but powder for a lab experiment.)
Annie always looks so animated when she talks about her research with Mystic One. Guess it helps to have a Team Leader who you really care for.
(Then again Spark, at least, doesn’t need constant reminders to eat or sleep.)
Speaking of which…
“Uh… Leader Blanche and Annie are supposed to be here today. Could you and your boss maybe not blow up the exhibition while we’re all here? Or start a fight? Or steal anything”
Amelie doesn’t even look up from the stall she’s examining. Out of all the locations to spend the morning at, personally Go wouldn’t have picked the shopping village – it’s not even ten in the morning now and it’s already a struggle to get through the crowds. Amelie, however, is both determined and terrifying - so here they are.
“Mystic One is currently at their headquarters having overslept. Mystic Two is with them.”
Well that’s not at all creepy.
“How do you know that?” He demands.
“Carl told me.”
“Carl, as in-”
That stuck-up dick? is what Go wants to say, but his mouth finishes, “-Valor Two?”
“Yes. We’re acquainted.”
Typical. All said stuck-up dick apparently needs to drop the snobbish attitude, even for someone like Team Rocket, is a terrifying attitude and an above-average bra size.
(That’s probably unfair, he reflects. There’s one key reason why the two of them will never get along and it’s five-foot-ten, host to a lightning titan and drinks Go’s milk straight from the carton.)
“It’s in everyone’s best interest for there to be no fighting today, don’t you agree? Three of each, please.” Amelie directs the last part at the hovering sales assistant, guarding the stock with the tenacity of a stoutland and the attitude of a houndoom.
Honestly, Go thinks, simultaneously watching the assistant bag all the items and trying to read the labels upside-down at the same time as they’re packed, Carl and Amelie knowing each other well isn’t a bad thing. Especially given the animosity between her boss and Leader Candela - and their combined talents at causing significant property damage.
“Limited Edition Eevee Family… are these socks?”
“Mmm-hmm.”
“You came all the way to a massive eevee exhibition… to buy yourself socks?”
He looks back at the packaging, the front home to a model in frills sporting sylveon thigh-highs and not much else.
Don’t think about her wearing them, don’t think about her wearing them-
Too late. It’s an amazing image though.
“They’re not for me. I’m here to get them for someone who couldn’t make it.” Amelie says, like she can read minds. Or maybe it was pretty obvious what he was (completely involuntarily!) thinking of.
Hang on, given that there’s one person he knows of who can make Amelie get up at the crack of dawn and wears eevee paraphernalia obsessively…
“So… your boss isn’t here today?”
There’s an unnaturally long pause.
“No,” Amelie finally says. It’s hard to tell with someone as serious as her but for a moment, Go thinks, it looks like she wants to say something more. “No, they’re not.”
“So you did come all this way just for socks?”
She shrugs.
“Lief is also thinking about breeding an eevee-cross meowth at some point, so he’s looking at possible studs as well.”
“Lief?”
“You’ve met him. Green hair, crossbred persians, kicked you in the face last month at the pier?”
Oh yeah, he remembers now. He really needs to try and run into people who are less violent, he thinks.
Amelie takes her receipt and turns to face him. “I’ll see you around, Go.”
“Uh, is it bad if I hope that’s not any time soon?”
He gets a whole smile for that.

My Team HeadCannon from Explorers of the Sky
Ryan Takudo
Species: Shinx
Age: 15 Years old
Gender: Male
When Ryan was a human, he was a 15 year old university student in Nimbasa City University. Since he was a kid, he was inspired to become a Pokemon specialist when he visits to International Pokemon Convention in Hearthome City, Sinnoh. To fulfill his dream, he took the Trainer’s Exam and pass with flying colours. Obtained Tim when travelling to Hoenn with his friends when he stumbled a wild Treecko and decides to catch it. At school, his intelligence was shown as he can solve questions that was meant for higher education level. With his teacher’s approval, he finished his elementary and high school within a short time, 3 years to be exact. He took Zoologist as his major in the university, specialized in quadruped and electric type Pokemon.
One day, when he was alone at home with his and pet Pokemon, he saw something flew past by the window. He then goes out and saw an ultra-rare shiny Celebi, lying on the forest floor injured by the Darkrai. He then tried to help the Celebi but stopped by the pitch black Pokemon and knocked him out cold. After waking up, he had severe headache and being attend by his Grovyle. The Celebi had already attended by the wood gecko earlier thanks to his skills using wild berries as medicine. He realized that everything around him was stiffed, as if it the time has been stopped. Then the Time Travel Pokemon explained that his world was indeed paralyzed and must find a way to undo the situation, but not until he and the rest were running away from all sorts of Ghost-type Pokemon that hunted them down. In desperation, he and his Grovyle jumped into the Dimensional Portal created by the Celebi to redo the time but a mysterious force hit the portal and cause haywire which ultimately separated them. Unable to remember his past life, it’s up to him and his new partner to help him recover his memories and finishing his ultimate role before time runs out
Characteristics
At first, he have some trouble adapting his new body and stumbles a lot while trying to walk, but he manages to walk properly fairly quickly
Quick learner and very observant, possibly may learn a new move by simply observing and practices a lot, which some of his human traits were carried over when transformed into a Pokemon, without him realizing at all.
When in dungeons, he’s a quick thinker, critical in making quick decision when in danger, analytical in scanning the opponent’s movements in order to dodge incoming attacks. Excels in battles but not fairly well navigating through dungeons… sort of… (He’s embarrassed to admit it)
Despite being a quick learner and critical in making tactical decision, he’s quite hasty and sometimes his body work faster than his brain. He felt like being late is not an option. But luckily his partner can calm him down
A bit of geek when something interesting perk him up. Highly curious and tend to act before thinking thoroughly…(his biggest weakness which sometimes cause big troubles to the team)
He tends to smug whenever he was winning at something but almost always failed spectacularly in the process. Later, he utilizes his ‘trash talk’ ability when battling. Kinda like ‘a battle of mind before a battle of fist’ according to him, much to Mia’s disapproval.
  Ability
Ryan can summoned how much voltage does he wanted to use when using electrical attacks, like Magnemites evolution lines. He learn this ability when he first trained with Zarco, a local Electrivire when he asked for his help to master his electrical offensive moves. For example, when he wanted to use the move Spark, he will say “X VOLTS, SPARK!” where “X” is the voltage amount that he wanted to summon.
Example when he executes a move: “10,000 VOLTS, DISCHARGE!!”
Trivia
He has unusual traits as a Shinx. His eyes were blue in color instead of shiny golden color, a trait which carried over from human figure. He also have 5 pointed star shaped tail instead of four. This makes everyone scratching their heads about it, but this enable Ryan to gather 30% more electricity than any normal Shinx were and can glow 25% brighter.
He started to develop a crush on his partner when at the waterfall scene before exploring the Crystal Cave. Towards the end, he realized that he fall in love with her and affirm his love for her at the end of the story.
Mia Heather
Age: 15 years old
Species: Eevee
Gender: Female
Who doesn’t know Mia, a.k.a the “Walking Tome of Knowledge?” Her passion for adventures started when she visited the guild during the Guild’s Exhibition many years ago. Stories and tales which she heard from the guild members further fuels her interest to become an explorer in the future. One day, she found an odd looking stone with a strange engraving on her daily evening stroll at the beach, which she decides to use it as a lucky charm.
From that day, she began to study the rock, read all kinds of reading materials she could find in order to find out what stone it is. This also spark her interest in treasures and folklores. But one thing that she’s geek of is plants and berries. If Pokemon learn botany, she would be the top student in the class. With her exceptional knowledge in plants, she is a crucial asset for the team, especially when ongoing long missions which could take days to complete. She met Ryan one day after her another failed attempt to join the guild and instantly, their friendship sparked. With her new friend on her side, she finally succeeded joining the prestigious guild and her steps to become the greatest explorer became closer.
Characteristics
She always wanted to join the famous Wigglytuff’s Guild for years now, but her timid nature and lack of confidence were her biggest obstacle to overcome, which is why she doesn’t share her plethora of Pokemon and botany knowledge so often to others.
Despite that, she’s the one who never leave any teammates behind and willingly to stay, even in critical situation.
Her battling style is all about speed. She believes that speed will outcome every potential danger. Her running speed is use to its full potential but one thing she’s lacking is raw power. Usually Ryan will help her, but her timid nature sometimes get in her way, especially when she’s about to faint, hence the Run Away ability
She’s a quick adapter, meaning that she’ll fit in most of the tight situation by providing support to other teammates. Her Adaptability ability is not limited in her moveset, but her surroundings as well. Sometimes, she would lead the team, but her shyness overpowered her fairly quickly, especially meeting new Pokemon
Good sense of navigation, have sharp hearing (obviously…), exceptional memory and also second-in charge of the team. She’s also quite a neat freak as she always organized their stuffs in batches, even items in their treasure bag which she claimed for easier access… well for her and not for others actually…
Possessed exceptional knowledge in plants and berries, which allows her to differentiate good and bad berries and make special brews for emergency medicine or juices while undergo a very long missions. Also, she a good survivalist which helped the team a lot.
  Ability
She will receive a special orb which gives her ability to use a specific move pool that is associated within her evolution line. This means that she can use up to eight different type of moves within the evolution line. Her chosen moves were as follows:
Flame Charge (Flareon)
Thundershock (Jolteon)
Water Pulse (Vaporeon)
Psybeam (Espeon)
Feint Attack (Umbreon)
Icy Wind (Glaceon)
Magical Leaf (Leafeon)
Fairy Wind (Sylveon)
To activate it, she’ll have to tap the orb and summon the move she want, but up to three moves per duration. This will last up to 5 minutes before the orb glows dimly. It will be reusable once the orb glows brightly again. Once a move is summoned, it will stored in the orb as ‘memory’ and Mia can remember the moves she had summoned before.
She usually wears the orb at her neck, just like a cat wearing a neck bell. It is hidden underneath her neck fluff.
The orb have a shape like DNA structure inside it and gives out a warm rainbow glow, in which could lit up a small room. Many Pokemon mistaken for a Mega Stone. Even Ryan was surprised at this because he thought that Eeveelutions have mega evolution forms. Mia wishes that it is the true Mega Stone… but she’s grateful on what she’s given.
  Trivia
No one actually knew her origins. Heck even she doesn’t know as well. All she knows is that she lives at the Mimi the Chansey’s Town Clinic and Daycare for a good ten years before she started to live by herself at the Sharpedo Bluff.
Her features were a bit different from normal Eevees. At the end of her paws, there was a patch of white furs, kinda like she wears a socks. Her size were slightly bigger from average Eevee, but a bit smaller from a Shinx (about 40 cm in height).
Willy the Wigglytuff is actually her adoptive father figure. Stories goes by when he found a blanket at the guild’s entrance which containing a small Eevee, along with a note attached to it, stating that she came from a faraway land. Until she was 10, she was send to the Town’s Clinic and Daycare for her to live. Willy assumes her role as a father to take care of her. When she decides to join the guild, he was secretly ecstatic. Everyone in the guild doesn’t know this fact, even Charlie the Chatot.
Ryan have helped her numerous time along the way, which eventually develop a crush to the said Shinx. She actually denies whenever someone said that Ryan is her boyfriend, making her blushes madly and flustered. After took an advice from Saria the Sunflora, she firmly decides to tell him the truth in the near future, much to her amazement due to her shyness but it was too late because Ryan fades from existence. After Ryan reappears and finally confesses to her at the beach, she was overjoyed and accepted his confession. From that day, both of them became couples
Hope you’ll like my small headcannon from my team in Explorers of the Sky!

Hello, this is Professor Indigo. Ah, I am currently heading to the ipcae unfortunately much later than planned so i am very understanding if i am too late, but is Linnea the deaf leafeon still available for adoption?
Linnea is absolutely still available! You’re just in luck, too, as I’m packing up from the exhibition but am still here!
Feel free to swing around to the booth in the middle, towards the stage!

When Beau arrives at his booth on the 3rd a large typhlosion with a bandana, adorned with purple flames, is standing in front of it. His arms are crossed and his trainer is no where to be seen as he looks back and forth across the center. --- @moonlightshadowsrescue
“Good morning, Astro. Is something the matter?” Beau walks up, starting to get his Pokémon settled in the booth. Titan is moving around to make sure the remaining adoptable Pokémon are comfortable and that Moonpie, Dizzy, and Carys all have their beds ready.

Remember, if you're at IPCAE, and you visit our stall, the pokemon who are wearing service sashes at the moment are not adoptable. We only have Unown for adoption, and I request you don't bother my service pokemon while they're working.

Beau let out a sigh as he sat at the sign in table for the Reading event, taking a drink from his water bottle. He'd spent quite some time running around to help everyone get set up with their Pokémon and fielding questions. He heard someone approaching and looked up to see Lucas and Anita (@eve-eeeee) approaching.
He smiled and stood to greet them. "Hello, hello! Were you wanting to reading to one of our adoptable Pokémon today?"

A young girl makes her way over to the Sanctuary bus, her Hisuian Growlithe ears and tail on full display, two small boxes in her hands, with a Chimecho following behind her.
"Uhm, good morning. Sorry if this is weird but, I saw your bus and I got curious and I noticed that you two looked tired so, I stopped by the snack booth and got you two some funnel cakes. I heard that eating something sweet helps with energy in the morning." She holds the boxes out to them as she looks around at the Pokemon.
"Also, while I was wandering around someone gave me a flyer and the flyer mentioned that a wobbly Glameow was up for adoption? It made me wonder why the poor thing is considered wobbly."
@sirenintheveil
Beau looks up from the plastic bin he’d just pulled from the back of the bus and smiles, taking the boxes graciously and passing one of them over to Nico. “Thank you! That’s very sweet of you. Yes! Her name is Holly. She has a mild form of cerebellar hypoplasia, so she’s what’s known as a ‘Wobbly Pokémon’. Do you want to meet her?”

Beau climbed the stairs, feeling a little more reassured today with how well his demonstration went yesterday. He stood in the middle of the stage, smiling out at the crowd.
“Now, let’s say you’re an individual who struggles with narcolepsy. It’s impacting your day to day life, and you’re having trouble being independent. What could you do? Well, one option is a service Pokémon. Please welcome to the stage our first assistant, Lyra the Jigglypuff.” Beau motioned for Lyra to join him, and she hopped up to his side.
Suddenly, Beau dropped. Lyra caught him and gently lowered him to the ground. He grinned at the audience from where he laid on the stage. “Lyra is trained to help people with narcolepsy live full and independent lives. As you can see, she takes care of their physical well being in the case of a narcoleptic episode. Since I’m completely conscious, Lyra isn’t doing anything else besides watching over me right now. Otherwise, she’d be either attempting to wake me up or fetching someone to help in the case of injury.”
Beau stood back up with Lyra’s assistance. He thanked her and asked her back to the stairs. “Let’s change it up. My vision is terrible.”
He slipped his glasses off his face and walked forwards until his feet were on the edge. “I can feel where I am, but I can’t really judge distance or any hazards that may lie ahead of me. While I can still see, our next assistant is trained to help people who can’t.”
With that, he started to step of the edge as a Kirlia came dashing onto the stage, grabbing his hand and pulling him back. The Kirlia guided Beau back to the middle of the stage, finding his glasses and offering them to him.
“Thank you, Halo.” He said, putting his glasses back on. “Halo is a seeing eye Pokémon. He’s trained to help people with vision loss navigate and fetch things they may need. In my case, he found my glasses. He kept me safe from walking off the stage and guided me somewhere safer.”
Beau then asked Halo off the stage as well. He whistled softly and tossed some items around the stage. A Minun and Plusle ran out and up to him.
“Addie, fetch.” Beau ordered, pointing towards a water bottle. The Plusle bounded off, grabbing the bottle and bringing it back to him. He thanked her and pocketed the bottle.
“Addie and Susie are mobility aid and cardiac alert Pokémon.” He explained as Susie started tugging on his pants leg. “Susie right now is telling me my heart rate is too high, so I need to sit down.”
He sat down on the stage, and Susie climbed into his lap as Addie ran off to grab a prescription bottle. The first one she came to was empty, so she left it and ran over to another one. When she found the right one, she returned to Beau with the bottle.
He opened it and popped one in his mouth. “Now, I don’t have heart issues, so I’m simply taking a candy. However, Addie and Susie are working as a team to make sure that I’m safe.”
He dismissed them, sending the pair offstage and standing back up. “My final assistant is Tangerine the Flareon. He is a trained to help those who experience seizures.”
Tangerine trotted up onto the stage to Beau’s side. He sat obediently and waited. Beau slowly walked him around the stage before falling onto the stage and not moving. Tangerine checked Beau first before running to the front of the stage and hopping off, grabbing someone from the crowd and leading them up to the stage. When they got there, Beau sat back up and thanked them for their help and released them back to their seat.
“As you can see, one of Tangerine’s jobs is to fetch help in the case of a seizure. He also is trained to alert when he can tell a seizure is coming. He’ll protect his partner during a seizure and can even use a special phone to call for medical assistance.” He explained, slightly distracted as Tangerine paced the front of the stage seemingly agitated. He recalled Tangerine and fed him a treat as a thank you.
“My point today is not to just show you some cool things these Pokémon are trained to do. Each of these Pokémon have a job to help their partner live a full and independent life. They are not pets or battlers. They are working Pokémon who are indispensable to the people who really need them. If you have any more questions about service Pokémon and their different jobs or have a need for one and would like to adopt any of these wonderful Pokémon, please stop by the Floaroma Sanctuary booth, and I’ll be happy to help. I have been Beau Rosalba, and you have been a wonderful audience. Thank you!” Beau gave a bow and walked Tangerine off the stage with him. He made sure to remove each of the Pokemon’s service vests before taking them back to the booth, making a note to check Tangerine in case something was wrong and give him some time to rest.

So, I am a very weak man. Meet Carys! The newest addition to the Floaroma Sanctuary family! Little one is pretty young, probably around the same age as Moonpie, and also deaf. The rescue that had Carys had no experience with deaf Pokémon, so I'll be starting at level zero with training. Moonpie, Dizzy, and Titan are already in agreement at our new family member! This environment has been way too much, so Carys will be decompressing in a quiet corner of the booth.
[Attached is a picture of Beau holding a Fidough that was snuggled up to his chest. The Pokémon was smaller than average and looked very sleepy but happy.]
