Eureka: Investigative Urban Fantasy is a neo-noir investigation-focused RPG with (as you can probably guess from the title) a supernatural twist. Eureka fills several voids we have noticed in the TTRPG space. Eureka supports investigation to a degree we haven’t seen before, ensuring that searching for clues is a granular and player-driven process, but also ensuring that the whole story doesn’t grind to a halt after one single failed investigation check.

Though most PCs will be mundane humans—or perhaps because most PCs will be mundane humans—Eureka also supports playing monstrous PCs, such as a vampire, in a way we have never seen before. This isn’t just a watered-down stat bonus, it’s like playing an almost entirely different game, with all the monster’s strengths and weaknesses to account for while solving the mystery, plus the added incentive to keep it a secret from the other PCs as well as their players.

If you like or are interested in Call of Cthulhu, Monster of the Week, Dresden Files, X-Files, Kolchak: The Night Stalker, Apocalypse Keys, or Gumshoe, you’ll probably find something in Eureka to really enjoy.

Hello! You can call me Apidae! I'm 27, NB, and I've been roleplaying for a little over a decade. I guess l'd be considered semi-lit, considering I tend to favor a paragraph to 3-5 paragraphs, I'll elaborate in a few paragraphs so bear with me. I am versatile and can play any gender and I expect the same of you.

I'm looking for someone who can respond a couple times a day minimum, as that's usually what you can expect from me. Communication is preferred, if you're gonna be busy just let me know. I will not write with anyone below the age of 22.

I love urban fantasy and high/medieval fantasy but even just having Magical elements in SoL roleplays is awesome. Recently got curious about pulp science fiction. Currently, I only have a few ideas that really excites me. I'll list them below. I love romance, drama, and a lot of angst. I love the gut wrenching, hard to not cry topics as much as the blushing romance so I need that variety. I like to feel like I'm there, ya know? I'm also okay with NSFW themes, so long as it doesn't fully take over the roleplay.

I definitely prefer quality over quantity so a well written one liner is 10x more preferred than a forced novella. I always struggle when partners offer 6-7 paragraphs jam-packed with action and new information because almost always there is something in that first paragraph that, realistically, my character would have responded to, but by the end of the message so much more has happened that it is impossible to respond to while still making sense.

Pulp Science Fiction: Space pirate smuggling a strange high end artificial intelligence robot and being chased down occasionally by the galactic empire. I will be playing the robot, it will likely be an annoying robot bothering me to friendship to lovers type, ending in the pirate keeping said robot.

Matriarchal Arranged Marriage: In a society in which men are judged for their worth by their strength and ability to fight, your character is a lady of high standing seeking out a husband to return with her to her town. She comes to Nurn with that intention, to find the perfect husband that behaves and looks nice on her arm. My character is a masculine, strong man living in a town with exceptionally strict views on men, somehow still not yet married.
