💕Can I request all the senjus, orochimaru, shisui and itachi with a s/o who managed to make themselves immortal with out consequences and they did it without experimenting but they can make other people immortal but people keep trying to kidnap them for it,also they don’t age anymore?💕
This is what pretty much Orochimaru’s dream is.
Tw: Yandere themes, unhealthy mindset, unhealthy relationship, possessiveness, obsessiveness, delusions, kidnapping, manipulation, clinginess
Immortal s/o
Hashirama Senju
Tumblr media
🌳He is quite the more supporting and encouraging person. But in this situation even he finds himself a bit unsure how to feel. Your jutsu is quite amazing and something marvelous, but Hashirama is someone who wants to spend his whole life with his darling and die later on when both of them are grey and old together, that is his dream. But with you who stopped aging long ago and will never die, this is something impossible. The clan has definitely a huge interest in you, even though they are aware that your ability will end up being terrifying if it goes into the wrong hands which is why the Leaf guards you very observingly, not wanting to risk that a rival village gets their hands on you. If their strongest shinobi would be made immortal, that would end in a catastrophe. Hashirama himself makes sure that even in his own village no one plans on abusing your powers.
🌳I do not think that Hashirama would force you to either make him immortal nor to somehow tell you that you should try to stop your powers and start aging again. Not like he won't try to convince you to eventually consider finding a way to stop being immortal and instead settle down and live with him. Given the fact that are immortal, you might lived longer than he did and for that have knowledge he and his clan do not possess which is why you're treated from the Senju and the whole village really respectfully, if they need advice they will go and ask you. Hashirama can also only do this much and so he grows more clingy since he knows that he will die whilst you will live. And so he wants to be able to have a place in your heart for all the time to come and alongside with his brother and future generations, he trusts you to protect the Leaf Village once he dies. Even if his darling is immortal, he still wants to marry them since he is traditional.
Tobirama Senju
Tumblr media
🌊Despite him being the harsher and much more intimidating and blackmailing guy from all the Senju, he has a rather simple dream as well. He wants to marry his darling and live with them together and one day die. And his dream is messed up with all of this as well and he is quite irritated by the knowledge that you made yourself immortal. On the one hand Tobirama is eager to invent new jutsu himself so from that perspective this is beyond fascinating, a wish many people before him had and tried to work on. But in a way this is honestly way too mocking for him as well because even if his darling might have to endure harsher lessons with him, they might honestly have the relieving thought that he will die one day anyways and then they're free. It is angering because it is true and depending on how old they are, they might nag him because of his behavior and he won't be able to say much against it since he knows they have more experience than him in life.
🌊This might be an advantage you have against him next to the whole being immortal thing. He will start being more respectful once he finds out how old you really are. He literally can not help it and that is why he sometimes, under the risk of his pride, asks you for some advice. He doesn't really want to be immortal either, even though he is more curious about it than his brother is. But what he has to do is always guaranteeing that you are under high protection because he know what terrible things your powers can do when being wrongly used. He might actually try to create a jutsu similar to yours because in a way you have been inspiring him. He also will end up marrying his darling. For starters he is a pretty traditional guy so marriage has a high meaning for him as well. Additionally he is not willing to let you that easily get away with your long life, he is possessive. He just kind of wants to set a mark on you for as long as you're part of the Leaf.
Orochimaru
Tumblr media
🐍You have literally achieved what he has been trying to complete his whole life time without even having to experiment on anything and it is thrilling for him. No wonder he is after you as soon as he has heard the rumors, being in his way fervent about it and his obsession starts before he has even met you in person. And oh, he will hunt his darling down, no matter where he has to go and who he has to kill. He wants that jutsu and that talent who created it and no one will stop him. Not going to lie, at the beginning he is a bit salty, mostly because he feels like he has been beaten since you didn't even have to use anyone, you just had pure skill. But whilst he might have lost this, he still can owe the person who had the skills and intelligence and since he will totally force you to teach him that power and make him immortal as well, you might be stuck with him forever if you do so. And the bad part here is that if you don't, he will have no problems torturing you or using you as his next vessel.
🐍You're immortal, so it's not like you will die and he takes advantage of that if you refuse to lend him a hand. If you do help him, he will show his gratitude in a rather odd way, but it's better than his sadstic side. He simply keeps you, that much has to be said already. He can't effort to lose a talent like you, the experience not even to mention. His darling becomes his very special treasure who helped him earning immortality and in return he offers them a place to stay and protection. He knows that everyone wants to have that sort of abilities and he gets rid of all of them all to gladly, he won't let anyone dare to take his special underling away from him. He just always has you tagging along with him. Sasuke gets kind of interested as well since you are indeed powerful and you might as well get close to him since he is together with Kabuto and Orochimaru the only person you will see for a long time. Depending on how long you are already alive, Orochimaru also wants to know pretty much all jutsu and other knowledge you might have.
Tsunade Senju
Tumblr media
🐌She looks quite young for her age which comes from the fact that she uses a jutsu that makes her appear young, but she is just like everyone else. She ages and is bound to die one day. And Tsunade handles this maybe a bit worse than some others do. You gotta understand, she just thought that she finally found the one person she can manage to live together with the rest of her life only to discover that they will continue living forever. And to know that she might be only one of many to come and that she might be forgotten one day is truly not very pretty, it makes her a bit more desperate. At first she was probably scared that you used to do the same things Orochimaru did to reach your goal so she was definitely more at ease when hearing that you succeeded without having to go with such drastic methods. For that reason she refuses to let her old teammate find out about you, knowing that he will be after you if he hears that you're in the Leaf which would only give him more reasons to attack.
🐌Tsuna might find herself tempted by the thought to be made immortal from you and live for all eternity together with you, simply because she is possessive as well and wants to be finally happy with the person she loves after all her beloved people dying on her. She's not completely sure, she knows that being immortal can be as much of a curse as it can be a blessing. The the council from Konoha is quite possessive as well, knowing how valuable you are and so they might want to use your powers for more selfish reasons from time to time. This leads to arguments between Tsunade and them because she is often against such decisions, seeing that they plan on making use of you. But one thing they do agree on is keeping you save from all other forces who want you in their grip. Funnily you might be a part of the eldest yourself if you lived long enough which gives Tsunade an advantage since you are on her side and not that narrow-viewed like the other eldest are.
Shisui Uchiha
Tumblr media
🍂At this point in his timeline his darling might as well be already part of the village or at the very least known everywhere in the hidden villages for their special jutsu which is why everyone is on some sort of hunt for them. Shisui himself honestly probably never really saw himself falling for someone who constantly dominates the spotlight like you do, maybe also because he thought, despite the fact that you look young, the age difference would make him view you more as a admirable sensei because being able to make yourself and others immortal without having to do experiments on humans needs skill and wisdom. Shisui also just knows that even if you like him as well, this is a completely impossible love since not only might the superiors forbid it, but he does not desire to be made immortal. He already knows that everyone dies sooner or later and given his job being ready to die is a must since he is constantly exposed to danger.
🍂It would only break your heart in the end which is why he kind of feels like it might be best if he stays silent about his feelings at first. He just focuses on protecting you from potential enemies who plan on kidnapping you and tries to be someone who can leighten your mood up a bit since he sympathizes that life for you must be quite tricky. If he does confesses to you because he feels like you really like him as well or you tell him you like him first, he might hesitate and voice his doubts, but can be more easily manipulated since he loves you. Shisui kind of knows that he might not be the last since he doesn't want to be made immortal and you might find after his death a new person you love. And he accepts that, he doesn't want his darling to be alone only because they can't die. But he can make sure that he leaves some sort of impression on you so you will remember him. He wants at the very least a special place in your heart.
Itachi Uchiha
Tumblr media
🍡He did not kidnap his darling so he could have their jutsu for himself, he definitely didn't. He did it because he lost control over his emotions and given the fact that you are constantly being chased by other power-hungry persons, he got triggered too much because he knows that some will hurt you to get what they want since you can not die. And afterwards Itachi just has to be really careful so that no one will find out because you are no ordinary person. You are famous and a living legend for your achievement and it'll cause a huge motion if he is being sighted with you because everyone will know afterwards, including the Akatsuki and he can expect that Pain will definitely want you to be a part of his organization since you not only have a very gifted ability, but might also possess knowledge and forgotten jutsu from long time ago. And Itachi doesn't want to force you to live the same life as him, even if you can't be killed on such missions.
🍡Itachi knows that he doesn't have long to live anyways and he already accepted that fact, he has his plans in mind for this. So he knows he won't be there for too long to protect you from all the greedy and selfish people which is why he might plan on making Sasuke look after you once he dies and he tells you about this as well, even though he knows you can handle yourself very well on your own as well. He respects people who are older than him and for that reason he might be far more respectful to the s/o than he would be already and he isn't embarrassed about it. Similar to Shisui he also knows that after his death his darling might find someone else and he won't be angry with them for it. They shouldn't spend their whole life grieving over him since he wants them to be happy. The only person he might ever tell willingly about his darling is Kisame since he is next to his younger brother the only person he really trusts with his darling.

HELLO HII👋👋🤍🤍 I am curious about Chrysi/Jacks in general OwO. What’s the book Jacks is from +what’s it about? How did they meet and how did their relationship + impression of each other develop?
Also what would a more modern AU with them be like ? :0 fhjd I really like hearing abt those for some reason🤍
Origin:
Jacks is from the Caraval trilogy by Stephanie Garber!!! He shows up in the second book as the main antagonist, and in the third as a secondary antagonist! He’s got fucked up morals and cursed kisses that kills everyone with the misfortune to make out w/ him and the ability to control ppl’s feelings / hearts (hence the name Prince of Hearts). He’s a Fate, which is an immortal with super special powers, and he was trapped in a deck of cards for centuries (called the Deck of Destiny). He can’t experience true love for too long without becoming a mortal (again, I theorize, since he mentions he used to be human briefly), but regretfully, Chrysi’s immune to his kisses (only his supposed true love is immune, but Chrysi’s also jst naturally immune since she’s not exactly human either) and his heart starts beating again.
(The trilogy is about these two sisters playing a game called “Caraval” that’s more about a messed up sort of carnival where you can’t tell if everything is real or fake. As the series progresses, it becomes obvious that each game is becoming more and more real for the two of them!!! It’s rlly rlly fun + there’s a new series coming out with Jacks in it. I’ll be honest and say I like the original trilogy more, but this new series DID give me vampire!Jacks AND sleepy Jacks, so it’s not all bad :>)
Chrysi/Jacks Dynamic
As for how Chrysi and Jacks met!!!! It was at a ball (since he seems to go to a lot of those. For some reason.) and he was instantly interested in her, given that she seemed resistant to his emotional manipulation. Plus, she was hanging around Mistress Luck (another Fate). Eventually, after a fun sequence where they dance together and quip back and forth), Jacks agrees to become a correspondent with Chrysi. They help each other out with information gathering and exchanging favors.
At first, Jacks thought this was a pretty sweet deal for him. He wanted to kiss Chrysi and this cat-and-mouse game was fun for him, but she’d eventually die when he did, and he didn’t mind that. But then they met up at another ball and they kissed and like! Yikes! She doesn’t die + his heart starts beating! So he starts freaking out, because apparently he’d fallen in love with her without realizing it!!!
They continue to work together (Chrysi’s so horribly mean to him, mostly because she’s still reeling from Azure no longer being her lover ;;;;;; but also she finds Jacks insufferable. They argue constantly), but Jacks is trying to hide his feelings for her. It eventually comes out after he briefly turns into a vampire and back (in the Caraval timeline, that issss), but she ignores her own feelings for him until he almost dies in an attempt to save her. So. That’s that.
They‘re very tentative about their feelings for each other. Chrysi doesn’t want the other Fates to find out (all of them are very cruel, and some would kill Jacks for the fun of it. Which, fun fact! When Fates die, they become Fated objects—meaning their magic can’t be destroyed, but rather it becomes a whole new object hehe), so they try to keep their love secret.
Unfortunately for Jacks, Chrysi’s also struggling with her own immortal problems (the whole “Sephera slowly possessing her through her blood / faetelle” thing), so he runs the risk of losing her too. There’s a fun possession concept I’m playing with, with a really fun scene that is, yet again (surprise, surprise), set in a ballroom setting. They really do go to balls a lot. It’s the best place for drama, tbh, PLUS, as a higher class, it makes sense for them to be invited to balls regularly!!!! (I’m justifying all of this ljhkjghfghiuj).
Modern AU:
So!!! A similar concept, where they initially only contact each other as business partners! Shortly after Azure breaks up with Chrysi (to protect her, as this is also in the same universe as my Warehouse 13 stuff), she starts using Jacks as a regular informant / business partner.
Jacks is initially thrilled with the setup, but like before, he realizes that he’s losing out a lot on his deals with Chrysi. But before he knows it, he/s working alongside her in everything as a part of her new paranormal investigation organization.
They work primarily on cases in Salem, Mass. and Chrysi‘s niece, Emery, moves in with her after a falling out with her mother. This is important because Emery picks up on Jacks’s feelings for Chrysi before anybody else does (besides maybe Simeon, who is one of Chrysi’s... on-call outside helpers?? I guess I’d say? He eventually joins up with them, but he still doesn’t know about his healing powers at the time).
There’s a lot of slow buildup here, but essentially, Emery knows that Jacks and Chrysi love each other the moment Chrysi puts Jacks as an emergency contact at school, Simeon knows that they have feelings for each other when Jacks spends every other night at Chrysi’s house, “helping with the cases at hand” (AKA making sure Chrysi is safe / has proper company / is taking care of herself), and Chrysi finds out he has feelings for her when he almOST DROWNS WHILE TRYING TO SAVE HER.
They end up officially moving in together, and Evangeline (rather than being a love interest for Jacks, which is gross because she’s the same age as Chrysi’s niece (17)) winds up being Emery’s friend, and they’re all a fun group of friends.
But of course I throw Azure in for relationship drama + there’s always fun curses and problems that arise from being a paranormal investigator. Also, obligatory “Chrysi is dying from faetelle / struggling with Sephera trying to take control“ and obligatory “Jacks is trying not to be killed / discovered by other Fates” nonsense.

Okay, maybe it’s my knowledge of history, maybe it’s the fact I did studies years ago into human trafficking where similar instances happened, maybe it’s knowing people in my family’s countries have had to do similar things throughout history, maybe it’s the fact I remember my lit tutor saying ‘how a person reacts to a fictional character’s plight is revealing of how they would behave in reality’, but I am getting so fed up of people condemning Lilith for what happened to Adam, or worse, mocking and belittling it like ‘omg she straight up murdered her kid lmao wtf’ which was actually a real comment I just fucking deleted off a GIF set I made. See, this is why I’m seeing these idiots, because they feel the need to comment on a GIF they’re NOT EVEN REBLOGGING. But whatever, I digress. My point of this post is:
LILITH DID NOT MURDER ADAM. SHE DID NOT KILL HIM IN PETTY REVENGE. SHE DID A HEARTBREAKING THING THAT MADE HER WANT TO DIE WHEN IT WAS DONE IN ORDER TO SAVE HIM FROM THE HORRENDOUS CRUELTY AND ABUSE SHE HAD SUFFERED FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS. And this is without the added consideration that the trauma of such a painful, unnatural birth and post-natal exhaustion and other hormone/chemical issues would have effected decision making and problem processing.
Okay, so listen; mothers killing their children to spare them from horrors is not an invented concept. It is horrendously true and has happened throughout history. Primarily, to stop their children being taken into slavery, being raped by invaders, saved from sex rings or taken for whatever miscellaneous yet horrendous situation they’re in, which has included abusive fathers. I am speaking as someone who is Irish, where Cromwell swept the land throwing children into slavery (my great-great-so-on Uncle was a child who was taken, but he survived, and we have relatives out in the Caribbean due to this, which is also how a great-great.great-grandparent met his wife. But again, I digress) and knows there were instances where those, unable to hide their children, killed them rather than submit them to the absolute horrors Cromwell’s men were inflicting (they raped a lot of women, murdered the men, raped and/or stole the children. Whole villages were decimated) and as someone with Mexican grandparents and knows how ancestors were treated so violently and cruelly by invaders that killing children to spare them was by no means an uncommon reaction (and an entirely understandable one).
The most famous incident of this happening, possibly because she was already a slave and therefore considered ‘property’ rather than an unnamed native person being dragged from their home, and it was recent enough for official news reports, was Margaret Garner. She was a runaway slave, and, when surrounded by slavers to take her back, she cut the throat of her 2 year old daughter, and planned to kill her other three children and then herself, but the slavers got to her first. They then told her she was property and not a mother at all, and they weren’t her children, but the slaver’s property and therefore she’d damaged property. The horror of that story is undeniable and Margaret’s actions undeniably understandable and cry for sympathy and empathy....and YET, there are still people who condemn her today. Really. So it shouldn’t surprise me there are people condemning a woman in a fictional story too.
More recently, there have been cases/stories coming forward of human trafficking victims, getting pregnant through no fault of their own, and, knowing the child would be trafficked too, have smothered them in their sleep before they could be taken.
Lilith is an abuse victim. Severely abused. She is treated as a slave, Lucifer even says ‘you belong to me and only me’ considering her to be his property, ‘Lilith knows her place; to serve’, ‘there is no escape to Tibet or anywhere else’. Lilith, really, in part 1 and half of part 2 has fucking Stockholm Syndrome; she has no reason to be loyal to Lucifer, we see how afraid she is of him, yet she sticks by him and is grateful for the scraps of approval he gives her. She has suffered so much abuse for thousands of years and lived through it that she had been entirely mentally conditioned by it. It took a huge amount of inner strength, and developing relationships with others (namely Sabrina and Adam 2.0, but also the likes of Theo Putnam, Mrs Meeks) for her to break free of that mindset.
But Lucifer is her abuser. There are countless instances of where we see her absolute terror; look how she begs for mercy after Sabrina’s failed Dark Baptism, how she flinches and covers her face when he comes near her, think of the terror in her eyes when he says ‘and you know what I’m like when I’m bored’, think of her sickening fear in part 3 when she realises the Dark Lord is free, how full of panic and fear she is trying to find out where he’s hiding, of how she desperately tries to hide at fucking Mary’s to get away from him, how she’s dragged out by her hair, think of the fear she has on her face when she chooses to face him and watch the horror on her face as she realises what he’ll do to Adam, and look at the fear and broken spirit of her when she realises she can’t stop him.
Lucifer has abused Lilith for millennia and convinced her that it was love that he was ‘lifting her up’ and ‘making her worthy’, classic abuser language. He even used her own freaking familiar against her. She was treated as property, treated however he chose in that particular moment, and by her own claim she’s done ‘unspeakable things’ to help him, believing she loved him. THOUSANDS of years of abuse and she’s only recently broken free of that, before she’s forced back into his arms, metaphorically-speaking. She is now, however, aware it’s abuse, and she knows what she’s suffered, and how cruel he is, and how he made her into something else, how he used that abuse and cruelty to mould her into what he wanted (think how differently she behaves when she’s his ‘loyal servant’ to how she behaves when she’s free from him and independent. We see a very different Lilith). She knows what Adam will suffer, because she’s suffered it herself. When Lucifer says he’ll suckle on a hell hound and ‘toughen him up and all that’, the expression on Lilith’s face is heartbreaking; she knows exactly what he means by toughen him up. It’s the same as ‘make you worthy’. And the thought of her son going through everything she went through, and then constantly having to fight for his life, fighting against Caliban or Caliban’s children, suffering everything Lilith has, but never having known anything else, never having anyone who loves him truly, no one who could help him escape...it fills Lilith with fear.
And, she’s seen the Dark Lord get his way over and over again. She’s seen how even Sabrina accepts him as her Father now. She knows the Aunts offered to protect her, but even Hilda is only suggesting they leave, like they can’t actually physically fight him, only do their best to keep Lilith safe. And Lilith knows he’ll find her eventually; her experiences and her severe abuse mean she sees it as inevitable, because she’s ‘learned’ it’s inevitable. Lilith cannot see a possible way to keep baby Adam safe. She knows the only way she can protect him from the Dark Lord is to kill him, and destroy the body (or devour the body, however you wish to interpret the bloody scene) so he can’t resurrect him after he’s killed her. Because, yes, Lilith intends to die. Like Margaret Garner, her plan was to die WITH her child, but she was stopped. Lucifer knew that was her intent, that that was what she wanted (she does openly beg him to kill her) and that is exactly why he makes her immortal, so she can never be with her son, but by cursing her with humanity-- to age and rot etc-- he’s making sure she will only get weaker and not have the power to get back her son by any means.
Lilith continues to try to join her son throughout the next episode, to the point of getting a hold of the only blade that can kill an immortal, and it’s only when Marie gives her her son’s spirit, placing it in something solid, meaning-- with magic-- Lilith does have a chance to bring her son back, that instead of wanting to die, she decides to destroy Lucifer instead, as she has nothing to lose. Either, she destroys Lucifer and takes all her power back and gets her son back, or she fails and she dies. She essentially becomes a woman with nothing to lose, and they’re the most dangerous people, because there’s nothing to make them hesitate. As Lucifer learned in a very hard way.

“Lights Out” Nicky/Joe Timeline
I did this a bit earlier in the fic writing process, but if anyone is curious about the Lights Out “official timeline” of how Nicky and Joe spent their first hundred years as immortals, you can find it below the cut.
- June, 1099 - Nicky and Joe first see each other from the walls of Jerusalem and both are intrigued and drawn to the person they see, hoping they’ll get a chance to encounter the other in battle.
- July, 1099 - Nicky and Joe meet in battle, remaining outside the walls once the Crusaders break through, fighting each other until nightfall. Eventually, after killing each other 3 times, they realize they can’t get the other to stay dead and that the Crusaders have taken and burned the city of Jerusalem. Nicky urges Joe to run but prevents him from entering the city, as his mercy towards Joe does not extend towards allowing an enemy combatant back into the fray. Joe departs and heads for Ascalon to bring word of the fall of Jerusalem to the Fatimid Caliphate.
- Late 1099-1105 - Joe and Nicky encounter one another regularly in military conflicts between the Fatimid Caliphate and the newly founded Christian Kingdoms.
During this time, Nicky realizes that he does not die or age, and learns that his father has had a son with his second wife. He sends word back to Genova that his father’s eldest living son “Nicolo” has died in the Crusades. During this period, Nicky begins to struggle with feelings of guilt and penance over his role in the brutal sacking of Jerusalem. However, the damage is done and there’s no way to undo the conquest, so he sees it as his duty to shepherd the safety of pilgrims and to secure the Christian Kingdoms he fought to establish.
Joe continues to fight on the losing and often disorganized Fatimid side, constantly frustrated by the loss of territory to both Christians and Seljuks, but mostly because Nicky just keeps finding him, even in unlikely places, like while Joe is spying on the Christian defenses in Jaffa while disguised as a merchant.
That said, the two can’t forget each other and there is more than just hatred that exists between them, though they kill one another regularly whenever they meet. They have their first romantic encounter (if it can even be called that) outside Ramla while hiding from a storm that scattered both of their forces in the middle of a battle. Torn between killing each other and admitting that they both need shelter, the mood turns heated as frustrations boil over, and they kiss (and then some) for the first time while grappling in their latest fight. Startled by his own passion, Joe flees into the night back to his side. However, the pattern repeats itself over the next decades, when hatred and passion mingle and neither can get the other out of their mind.
Their second sexual encounter is on another spying mission of Joe’s, this time in Jerusalem. His base of operations was a brothel in the city, where he hid out pretending to be a patron, figuring he’d be safe from the devout Christian knight who seemed to find him everywhere. Of course, Nicky appeared, looking for one of his fellow soldiers who was to be disciplined.
However, Nicky surprised Joe by paying off the sex worker Joe had hired to shelter him that night, but telling Joe that it was late and as long as he left the city when the sun rose, Nicky could be merciful and allow him the comfort and safety of a bed that night. Significant looks were shared and they enjoyed their second encounter in a much more pleasant setting than their first.
- 1105-1120 - The fighting continues. Joe and Nicky age into their 40s and 50s, gaining the military skill of experienced generals while still enjoying the fighting prowess of young men. Both see this supernatural ability as obviously a sign that it is their duty to take part in the military conflicts between their people (though the politics of the time are messy and occasionally alliances do exist between both their sides against the Turks. On these occasions they find more excuses than usual to spend their nights together even while spitting curses at each other the next day).
When an order of monastic knights was founded known as the Knights Templar, Nicky reinvented himself for the first but not the last time to join their ranks. However, the concerns of the Christian kingdoms grew increasingly secular as time wore on, frustrating him as the politics of Jerusalem grew increasingly distant from the initial promise of the Crusades he signed up to participate in as a protector of pilgrims.
- 1122 - Nicky and Joe speak for the first time without once drawing their swords. On the banks of a river on the day before a battle between their people, Joe realizes at age 56 that he is feeling ever more distant from the men he serves beside and that Nicky is the only peer he has who was there at Jerusalem. He and Nicky speak for an hour, getting to know each other, which marks the beginning of a tentative friendship. While their duels and mutual murder of one another do continue to take place regularly (as well as moments stolen away in each other’s beds when the occasion allows) their duels lose their initial hatred and become almost playful at times.
- 1122-1144/1147 - The conflicts between Fatimids and Christians slow somewhat as the Seljuks rise as the more dominant regional Muslim power. Joe and Nicky begin to lose their sense of wonder at their own immortality as they age past their 50s and 60s into their 70s, feeling increasingly alienated from their fellow soldiers as the political landscape shifts and the causes they initially fought for begin to warp beyond recognition as a new generation rises.
It becomes increasingly difficult for them to feel connected to the urgency of the fight, as the Christian kingdoms adapt to the area and begin to be absorbed politically into the conflicts of the Levant region, no longer an ideological enemy but simply another force. Their sense of isolation is exacerbated by their independent realizations that they need to “die” and reinvent themselves every decade or so to hide from suspicion of their lack of aging, which cuts them off from past companions and family members and often bars them from cities and social circles they’d grown to know and love. They become one another’s only constant.
Joe watches the rise of Imad al-Din Zengi with consternation and a trace of envy as the Fatimids wain in effectiveness and the Seljuk warlord takes up the mantel of the champion of Islam to drive the Christians from the region. Zengi eventually succeeds in recapturing the now-Christian kingdom of Edessa, prompting the Pope in Europe to call for a Second Crusade.
Nicky, upon hearing a Second Crusade is to be called and a the cycle of violence will inevitably begin again with a new wave of clueless Europeans charging into a delicate region they don’t understand, inevitably spreading bloodshed and terror, finally gives up on the Templars and the Christian kingdoms now known as Outremer. He came to the Holy Land to protect pilgrims, not to prop up European princes at the expense of the common people. He flees into the wilderness outside Jerusalem to become a hermit, of sorts, protecting pilgrims on the road during these dangerous times, regardless of their faith, as his ultimate act of penance for his role in the brutal sacking of Jerusalem decades before.
Joe around the same time realizes he hasn’t seen Nicky in a while, begins to worry, realizes how much has changed that he does worry. Eventually he tracks Nicky down to his hermit cave and brings him home with him. Their time together as enemies ends officially and their time as friends and lovers begins, never to end.
- 1147- 1171 - While not finding Zengi terribly inspiring, Joe does find his more scholarly son Nur ad-Din a more palatable leader and joins his side as a soldier the next time he needs to “die” and reinvent himself. Nicky, however, abstains from the fighting except as a freelance guard to protect pilgrims. While he has disavowed the politics of the Crusader states, he is not yet at the point of fully turning on them to join the other side.
- 1171-1193 - Fighting for Nur al-Din brings Joe into contact Salah ad-Din (Saladin) who he and eventually Nicky find to be the sort of inspiring leader they’ve been looking for. Nicky and Joe partake in the Third Crusade and the “Fall of Jerusalem”, this time in Nicky’s case from the other side as he becomes a vassal of Saladin’s alongside Joe. However, the brief spark of Saladin’s leadership is the last gasp of their emotional investment of what feels like an endless conflict in the Holy Land that bears little resemblance to the war they first fought in on opposite sides. (Little do they know, this is only the Third of what will be more than Seven Crusades.)
After Saladin’s death from illness in 1193, they lose their last connection to the region and are too heartsick to continue the fight. They travel to Genova to make Nicky’s peace with a homeland he hasn’t seen in almost a century, then pass through Al-Andalus and then decide to try to find the women in their dreams who are currently moving west, shadowing a great horde of horse-riding warriors (the Mongol Invasion). Nicky and Joe in the mid 13th century end up in Baghdad, where they eventually encounter Andy and Quynh when the Mongol army arrives there and the city falls.
Sooo.... as you can see, there’s a lot there @_@ some of it is very sketchy and back of the envelope, I steer clear a bit from Joe’s side because the Fatimids are a bit hard to trace in this era (they keep getting conflated with the Seljuks, who were also their enemies, so I’m hesitant to say exactly when and if Joe would develop sympathy for or join the Seljuk side. It was a messy time, politically). I’m interested in doing some sort of 5+1 E-rated fic about some of their first encounters eventually. But in the meantime, this is the timeline I’ve worked out with my VERY amateur scholarship.

This Witch of Mine: Immortality, Blessing or Curse?
Tumblr media
I struggled to find an opening image for this post because the art is so great and ended up choosing the one above because it was the moment I first exclaimed “Yes!” in the comic. I also struggled to write it as I was enraptured by the philosophical concepts within.
Before we begin: The three main characters of the story, before it devolves into a collection of side stories, are: Philippa, the redhaired witch; Lilly the cat familiar; and Colin, the human hero (seen below with black hair and no cat ears). You can read the comic on Tappytoons.com. The official summary: “In these times, if you're too good or bad at something or simply too beautiful, you're called a witch. Up against twists of fate and time, an outcast young boy and a mysterious witch will need more than just magic spells and incantations; they'll need each other.” My summary: The story of immortals engaging with love.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It’s not the first series to show immortal or near-immortal characters falling for mortal ones, it certainly won’t be the last, but thus far it’s been one of the most in-depth looks into the idea with an art style that is both aesthetically pleasing to the eye and well used to create feeling beyond just words.
For example, Philippa and Lily meet Colins when he is a child. He soon decides to leave his small home town to follow Philippa, and Philippa in turn becomes  a mother figure to Colins in public. As he grows though, this mother-child relationship seems awkward and unnatural leading up to this pivotal scene:
Tumblr media
Colins has grown and Philippa has not. For the first time to Philippa, she realizes how things have changed. She realizes Colins loves her as a woman, not as a mother-figure, and she has grown to love him too. At the same time, the two also realize how fragile this love is when they live on such different timelines for life.
It's romantic and the image is almost poetic showing the two turned away from the light. We, the audience, know that Collins death will be hard on Philippa, likewise it will be hard for Collins to accept that his love will forever remain untouched by time.
And then, Collins is reborn.
We don’t expect it, and they don’t either, and so we are--at first, happy. After all, while not perfect the two now have more time together and can remain immortal and in-love.
But then Collins begins to die over and over again, creating a new poetic set of imagery as we see the aftermath.
For example, the dramatic feel to the scene as Philippa’s bloody footprints walk away from the slaughtered bodies of people she killed in response to seeing Collins’ hanged corpse:
Tumblr media
Or Phillippa’s final moments as she begs Collins to free her from the endless life waiting for him:
Tumblr media
What was first beautifully romantic has become tragic. First with the “first love” of Philippa and Collins, then Collins’ first death and then again with every re-meeting and re-death of witch’s counterpart.
The two of them still love each other. Collins, constantly reborn with his memories, is often found by her or vice versa as their fates have become tied together. Philippa, an immortal, loves Collins too--endlessly searching him out so that they can spend the fleeting moments of his mortal life together before the cycle is forcibly started again.
The story follows and beautifully displays the question, would immortality be a blessing or curse?
Of course, in most stories the answer is usually, ultimately, a curse unless you have someone to share the time with because otherwise you become lonesome. Look at Dorian Gray, for example, who becomes out casted for his eternal youth and ever more wicked heart or most any vampire-love story.
It’s a curse if you can’t find a partner in it all.
Yet here we see that even if you have an eternal partner, it can still be a curse.
The witches in this story are near perfect immortals--they don’t tend to die from injury (though it can hurt them and keep them pinned), they have magic that prevents them from being trapped forever, they do not age, nor do they become sick, they also have places of safety that they can return to which are outside the mortal realm as we see during their family reunions. Their “eternal” partners are other witches, though they choose to have temporary human companions for the most part.
Philippa’s people, the witches, find immortality to be a blessing. They act as passive beings enjoying life. They, at times, act cruel or nice and to the humans but it doesn’t matter in the long run to them because time periods are fleeting for them when compared to the mortal lives they put into toil and torment.
It’s only when they come to genuinely care about someone, as Philippa does Collins, that they truly feel suffering.
Collins is an imperfect immortal. He keeps coming back, so his spirit/soul is immortal but his body is not. Had Collins not been reborn, Philippa may have moved on, and, even if she hadn’t, she may not have ended as she does in the story. Other witches have experienced the same and, as the saying goes, “time heals all wounds.”
However, Collins keeps appearing and disappearing without rhyme or reason. The wounds become fresh with each new passing and it drives Philippa insane when she loses him again and he doesn’t return for millenniums. She feels abandoned and hopeless and heartbroken.
Collins’ curse is to continually be reborn. It allows him to change and, because he views himself as mortal, he doesn’t see time the same way that Philippa and her people do. He sees life with new eyes each time. While Philippa is stuck with the same life continuing for thousands of years.
We see their love then, and the passing of time, in different ways. For Philippa, it starts as a blessing. Finally, a partner/lover that can pass through time with her even if they have to be separated for a short while. All she has to do is manage through the fleeting moments of absence in-between each rebirth. Only those absences begin to take a heavy toll on her, until it eventually become a curse. For Collins, rebirth is a blessing as he gets to meet Philippa again and again, to live and retry his hand at new experiences and live life to the fullest. Only for this same blessing to become the very curse his former counterpart felt as he is forced to continue on without Philippa when she chooses death over waiting for him again.
It is a cruel fate for them both and begs us to ask the question of whether or not we would see immortality--if it was gifted to us--as a blessing or a curse if we were in the same position as the witches or Collins.
Would it be a blessing? The chance to live again with your memories of past lives does sound enchanting... but it could also hold you back, drive you mad with the loss of the love you felt before no longer having a presence in the current life. So then, a curse?
Who knows?
What do you think?

THE QUIRK DATABASE HAS BEEN UPDATED !
incoming information on general studies student, jeon mingyu.
get to know them !
faceclaim: han jisung
name: jeon mingyu
gender & pronouns: cismale, he/him
age: 19
year group: third
department: general
reputation: mingyu gets along well with his peers and does all his projects on time. he’s by no means a teacher’s pet, but he thinks there’s no harm in staying on their good side. despite this, he’s sort of a classic class clown, still he keeps everyone at an arms’ length. he wants to befriend everyone but he doesn’t let anyone truly befriend him, in a sense.
the quirk!
quirk name: undead
quirk description: essentially, mingyu’s body is dead, safe for the fact that his senses still work. he won’t die if he doesn’t eat or sleep.
abilities:
he can survive fatal injuries, retrieve severed limbs and regenerate his body if damaged.
he can leave his body in the form of spirit, too.
there is a significant increase in his physical strength, but it in no way compares to quirks centered around physical strength.
in other words, his body is only directly influenced by his own brain. for example, even if his own arm is broken, his brain can force the body to continue using it.
weaknesses:
like a curse, he can still feel pain. despite not needing to eat or sleep, he can go hungry and he isn’t prone to being lethargic.
his body does begin to decay, he needs to constantly strive for physical contact to extract a sort of life-force to prevent this. day-to-day contact suffices (for example, bumping someone’s shoulder in the bus), usually.
when leaving his body as a spirit, he can only do so for 15 minutes. if he stays outside his body for too long, his body will rot faster.
he isn’t immortal. a shot to his brain is insta-kill, another would be to keep his spirit away from his body for as long as possible.
he doesn’t have a heartbeat. his brain is the only organ of his that still functions ‘normally’.
mutation: his body can physically decay.
the history !
triggers: child abuse, murder
i.
mingyu needed a hero of his own.
as a child, he thought they were amazing—adorning their eye-catching costumes, circling the premises as if their life depended on it, rescuing whoever it was no matter what. going back in time, he recalled instances where he wanted to wear those same capes, desired nothing more than to help those in need to the best of his abilities. heroes would be showered with praise, loved to the ends of the earth for their services.
if they were within vicinity, everything would be alright, it seemed. they will save you, keep you safe—that was their duty, the reason they exist.
they didn’t become heroes for nothing, after all. surely, he’ll encounter his own special hero one day, just like the ones he had seen on television. maybe, he’d be one of them one day, if the world allowed him to be. that was the dream, to have a hero take his hand and lead him out of the dark and into the light.
but for now, he had to focus on surviving until tomorrow.
“mingyu!” he could hear his father call, making him wince. no matter how many times he hears it, he could never get used to the sound of his father’s drunken slurs, the stomps that echoed throughout their small apartment. it didn’t take long for his father to reach him, there was nowhere mingyu could run. his father’s legs were longer than his, he couldn’t outrun him either way.
no, all he could do was take whatever his father was throwing at him and wait for his saving grace.
ii.
mingyu wondered what it was that made others worth saving, how long he had to wait for his dark days to end, how much he had to endure before someone, anyone, will hold out their hand to him.
he wasn’t sure when the first time happened. his arm bent backwards, elbow seemingly crushed. it happened before his father’s eyes—his bones rearranging themselves, popping his arm back into place, all he knew was that it hurt. his throat ached from screaming, voice thinning as he slowly lost it. for once, his father only stood there, watching as everything unfolded.
“so you aren’t a quirkless bastard after all,” was his only remark. his father didn’t say any more, wordlessly continuing what he was doing instead. the more mingyu’s body tried to fix itself, the harder his father went. and for his father, who was a hero of the old days, renowned for his physical strength, it was easy to go on as long as he wanted to.
mingyu stopped eating. he stopped drinking. he stopped breathing. his heart stopped beating. he felt like he was bleeding, but he couldn’t taste the iron.
mingyu died that day. no one came to save him.
iii.
reincarnation, the rebirth of a soul. the rebirth of the aspect of an individual that persists after bodily death—whether it be consciousness, mind, the soul, or some other entity—in one or more successive existences.
it took mingyu’s vessel to die for him to realise that he needed to save himself.
what came from a dead body that continues to push itself past is limits, is that his strength was no longer measured by normal means. mingyu needed years to realise that he could fight back, that his father was all brittled bones and his own could no longer stay shattered. he only struggled for 20 minutes, before he managed to escape his father’s clutches, running out of the house. his ankles were twisted, ribs broken, swaying as he walked. he eventually stumbled upon a hero, concern laced on their face.
his father, proud and stubborn, refused to lose. even to another hero, one he seemed to recognise. but his father’s only practice for the past few years was beating up his own son senseless, he wasn’t prepared to face a hero who made headlines.
instead, his father chose death—coward that he was.
but it seemed even cowards had more worth than he did, because the next thing he knew, the same hero who he thought brought him out of the dark told him that mingyu couldn’t speak of this to anyone. “your father was a hero to many, if word got out that he was actually like this… he was my friend, an inspiration to other heroes. he saved many people during disasters that you can’t possibly comprehend, life-changing events that you thankfully didn’t have to experience. you understand, don’t you?”
that was when he realised, his father had been one of those heroes he had seen so often on television, the same ones mingyu idolised ever since he laid his eyes on them. even though his body could no longer function that way, his stomach churned, a lump forming on his throat.
mingyu laughed, throat tight, but he nodded all the same.
“yeah.”
he’ll never become his father.
iv.
time continues to flow. the world moved on, and mingyu had to as well.
staying in an orphanage for so long, mingyu thought it was about time he give up on getting adopted. life had other plans, however. suddenly, he was no longer mingyu—he was jeon mingyu, the adopted son of two loving parents who wanted nothing more than the best for him. his parents pushed him to strive for the best, and that meant yueng-ung academy.
life seemed better then, the years that lead up to this point felt like a blur, a fever dream that he’d be happy to forget.
but it was impossible to, when mingyu passed a boy who looked just as frail as he was, bruises littered all over his body, the same fear he had seen on the mirror too many times evident in the boy’s eyes.
heroes have their plates full, they say. all their attention were on the inevitable attack of villains, preventing doomsday, natural disasters that will undoubtedly claim many lives. in that case, someone has to look out for the little guys, right?
donning a self-designed costume, helping out those that can’t reach out to heroes who seem too far away—he can do that much. no one else wanted to.
he didn’t want to be a hero, he just doesn’t want anyone else to have to wait as long as he did.
the personality !
mingyu tends to keep to himself. he is anxious when it comes to interacting with others, especially those he isn’t familiar with. in groups, he’s usually the mood-maker to make up for the fact that when conversing with people on his own, he’s rather quiet. his social battery runs out pretty quick, so after throwing out jokes and making people laugh, you can find him on his own listening to music or doing something else in his lonesome. in truth, he craves close connections, he doesn’t know how to go about keeping them.
he may come across as immature and brash at first, mostly because he wasn’t taught proper etiquette, coming from a dysfunctional home life. he also has a lot of pent up emotions buried within. he hasn’t figured out a healthy way to release them yet; outbursts are to be expected, although they come rarely. having a body that can basically act as a punching bag, there are times when he might not be able to understand other people’s pain, both emotionally and physically.
despite his bad experience with heroes, he holds no grudges against the heroes themselves, but the system. he wouldn’t, by any means, hold a prejudice against someone simply for being a hero. this, however, may apply to villains as well. he doesn’t see any sides, he doesn’t accept that everything is so black and white. as a vigilante, he is ruthless and doesn’t hold back. this is the only way he knows, so far, for how to release some of his anger. he doesn’t try to take a life, and so far there has been no need to. but if push comes to shove, he isn’t sure he’ll keep his clean record.

Gifted
TITLE: Gifted (Sequel to Giftless)
CHAPTER NO./ONE SHOT: 8/?
AUTHOR: nekoamamori ORIGINAL IMAGINE:
Imagine that you are Stark’s niece and you secretly share a strong relationship with Loki since he entered the crew. One day you get hurt so bad during a mission that you are about to die.  Loki knows a spell that will save you and share his immortality with you but you and he will be linked forever sharing thoughts, pain, emotions…
RATING: T NOTES/WARNINGS:  Also on AO3 click here
“So, darling, would you care to explain how you forgot to shield yourself when you shielded everyone else?” Loki asked you dryly as he drove you to the tower compound where the Avengers lived.  “As I recall, that was the first thing I taught you after you acquired my powers through the soulbond.” Loki wasn’t pleased with you for forgetting that absolute basic of magic.
“It’s Uncle Tony’s fault-” you started, but hesitated, not wanting to throw Tony completely under the bus.
“Excellent,” Loki replied with a smirk.  “I could use an excuse to punch him in the face. It is so much more satisfactory when there is a valid reason behind the punch,” Loki added wistfully. He wouldn’t actually punch Tony without a damn good reason.  And it had to be a reason that you would agree to.
You couldn’t help laughing. “You can’t rough him up too badly or Pepper will kill you,” you reminded him. He laughed at that and acquiesced that Pepper would indeed kill him.  A minute passed and he gave you a look, so you sighed and finally continued your story. “I’m not constantly assigned on patrols like most of the rest of the supers…until last month anyway. When I am, I’m always on Tony’s team. You know how Tony is. He only assigns me as support, shielding the others, dampening fires, and healing mostly. So I’ve gotten so used to shielding everyone else while Tony insists I stay away from the danger, that I got out of the habit of making the shields big enough to include me,” you explained. It was really annoying, especially when you were the strongest super on the team.
“Your uncle is an idiot,” Loki replied dryly.  Tony had messed with your instincts and training until you put yourself in danger.
“Agreed,” you grumbled, twisting the stupid metal bangle around your wrist and imagining all of the fun ways you would destroy the damn thing the second you got it off again.  You hated restraints, though you knew the tower kept a stock of them for villainous supers.
“See that you do not forget again to shield yourself first,” Loki grumbled at you.
“I won’t. I promise. One painful reminder is enough,” you added. Your ribs and arm were still sore and bruised. Battlefield healing was not thorough at all. It was only meant to make sure the combatants could keep fighting until the battle was over. You glared at the metal bangle on your wrist while Loki drove. “Why did I let you do this again?” you asked him grumpily. You really hated being weak or helpless.
“Because I asked nicely, unlike your idiot uncle. You are also intelligent enough to realize that your idiot uncle and I are correct in the assessment that you are about to drop from exhaustion and overwork. You are also smart enough to admit that the healers will guilt you into helping them when you should be resting, because they take advantage of your kindness,” he replied too logically. He was too flattering, but he was also right. You huffed and grumbled.  You hated it, but he was right.
Why did he have to be right?
You soon pulled up to the residents’ parking at the compound and went to go find your actor friends. It wasn’t hard. They were all outside the tower, using the outside of the building for their filming. You were waved over and greeted with cheers when they crew saw you. You were amazed at how many people they had dressed as Loki and Sigyn. You spotted Tom in the crowd of Lokis and grabbed your Loki’s hand so you wouldn’t lose him before daring to aim that way.
“What’s going on?” you asked Tom once you were close enough to him. You saw Kelly nearby, surrounded by all of the Sigyns.
“We’re shooting a scene where we Loki is using illusions,” Tom explained, indicating all of the doubles.  “I thought you two would have fun with us,” he added with a grin.  Tom was too much like his character at times and had too much mischief about him. “It’s a pleasure to see you again, Loki,” he addressed the god, polite as ever.
Loki bowed in reply. “Likewise,” he replied with a grin, excited for the bit of fun and mischief.
“How has the game of ‘which one’s Tom’ gone so far?” you asked. Tom always loved that game.
Tom laughed. “Wonderfully. This was a terrible idea on their part,”
“Kat! Why aren’t you answering your phone? Where are you? You’re supposed to be resting!” you heard a roaring yell that was unmistakable as Uncle Tony’s. You looked over at where the yelling was coming from. He was on his phone and obviously hadn’t spotted you yet. You were glad you had turned your phone’s ringer off.  You made a mental note to delete that voice mail without listening to it.
“Shit,” you cursed under your breath. “He’s going to find us.” You did not want Tony finding you yet.
Loki just grinned mischievously. “Not in this crowd, he won’t,” he whispered in your ear. He used illusions so your outfits appeared to match the costumes of the others. “Go blend in with the others. We’ll hide in plain sight.” you nodded and went over to the other Sigyns, standing so your back was to Tony. It was the only time you ever blended in because of your hair.
“What did you do?” you heard Tom ask Loki quietly, wondering why Tony was so upset with you both.
“Saved the lives of ten or so civilians,” Loki replied dryly.
“Terrible offense that,” Tom replied just as dry and sarcastically.  You couldn’t help chuckling and made a mental note to keep those two from being alone for too long. They really shouldn’t be alone at all.
You got cast as extras for the scene, which is what Tom and Kelly thought would happen when they asked you to join them there today. They slipped you copies of their scripts too. You weren’t supposed to speak, just be extras and stand with the other ‘illusions’ and look pretty. That got shot out the window once the crew realized who you and Loki really were.
Tony finally got smart enough to realize that you and Loki were possibly hiding among the actors. Unfortunately, he decided this while you were pretending to be Tom and Kelly and were the Loki and Sigyn acting out the scene. You tried so hard to keep a straight face while Tony started berating a Sigyn, who very much wasn’t you.
“Sorry, I’m not Kat!” she told him with a grin. He growled and went to harass someone else.
“Why don’t you run?” Kelly hissed in your ear, watching Tony patrol looking for you in the crowd.
“I can’t. My powers are shot right now,” you admitted. If it was anyone besides your friends, you wouldn’t have dared say that you didn’t have your powers. “I was hoping he wouldn’t find us until he calmed down some. I should probably give yourself up before he gets too pissy,”
“Not yet. Go do the kiss scene first. I’ll distract him for a little while,” she told you reassuringly. She pushed you out to where they were getting ready for the kiss scene. You had the feeling that was the real scene they wanted you and Loki for.
Your costume was a halter dress, leaving both of your arms bare, and Loki’s costume had short sleeves for this scene. They also really wanted the soulbond mark in their movie apparently and just didn’t want to ask you outright to be in the movie. So the crew pretended they didn’t know who you really were as they positioned you for the scene. You’d be quietly paid a large sum on the backend for your work.   They thankfully didn’t actually touch us and break Loki’s illusions when Loki gave them the warning that you couldn’t be touched.
You really didn’t mind kissing your boyfriend for twenty minutes to get the kiss scene just right.  That was an excellent use of your day.  Loki seemed to mind oh so much too. They filmed you from every angle and it should have been embarrassing, but you had missed Loki so much that you were way more interested in kissing him than in the cameras trained on you.
After the scene Tony waded in and caused more trouble. He gathered up all of the Lokis and Sigyns, including yourself and the real Loki. You were doomed then, especially as he was still raging. “Kat, Loki, you can’t hide forever,” Tony growled. “Now which ones are you?” you were a little insulted he couldn’t pick you out from all of the others.
“I am Loki!” Tom announced in his perfect Loki accent, stepping forward.
“I am Loki!” one of the extras announced, stepping forward as well. Tony growled when all of the Lokis, including yours, stepped forward to announce that they were Loki. It was hilarious and you had to fight not to laugh. Tony finally started thinking straight and turned to the group of Sigyns instead. You knew you were caught then. There was no way he wouldn’t recognize his niece.
The girls tried pulling the same stunt for you, but it didn’t work. The second he caught your eye, he knew. “Thanks for trying,” you told them. Tony was so pissed that you were actually scared of him. You’d never been scared of him, but his anger was radiating off of him, and you didn’t have your powers to defend yourself. You prayed that he would remember that before he did something stupid.
Like throw you through a wall again.
Tony grabbed your arm and dragged you from the group of Sigyns. The illusion on you vanished the moment he touched you.  The actors wandered off to pretend to not be paying attention, and actually do the work they were being paid for. The game was over. “What were you thinking?” Tony demanded. “You’re supposed to be resting!” he roared at you. You felt yourself shrink away from his roar, but you couldn’t, wouldn’t cower from him.
You straightened your spine and glared up at him.
“What were we supposed to do? Let those people die?” you demanded, reaching your other arm around to the small of your back where your enchanted dagger sheath was, just in case this conversation went poorly.
You wasn’t defenseless.
Even without your powers, you weren’t defenseless.
“Why were you even in that situation?” he roared back.
“We went out for breakfast and there was a car crash! We didn’t plan it,” you snarled at him. You couldn’t control everything around you. That sadly wasn’t one of your powers.
You saw his hand curl into a fist and acted before you could even think about it. You had a dagger drawn and held between us, in a defensive posture in an instant. You had practiced so much with the daggers that drawing one was instinct and effortless. You realized that right that, you didn’t and couldn’t trust Tony, not with the power between you so out of balance. Tony would never hurt you on a normal day, but his anger was out of control.  His anger was created by fear for you, but it had still gone out of control.
Tony’s eyes grew wide when he realized, when he realized he had really truly scared you. His anger evaporated at once. You had the feeling that might have been Loki’s plan the entire time, to try to get Tony’s anger under control before you had to deal with him. “Kat, I’m sorry,” he said softly, letting you go. “I wouldn’t. I swear I wouldn’t-”
“You have before,” you reminded him, taking a step back and moving your free arm to the sheath at your back. Just in case. He had hit you once before when his temper got the better of him. He hadn’t meant it then either, and it was only because Loki was there that you had healed from that experience. It was before you had powers of your own.
“He will not again, darling,” Loki said, stepping away from the actors. He had let you fight your own battle, since he knew that you could. He stepped between you and Tony, shielding you from your uncle. “You can put the dagger away, love. I’m quite sure your uncle would like to have a nice calm conversation about this morning with us inside,” he suggested pleasantly.
“That’s one of the first decent ideas you’ve had,” Tony replied, trying desperately to sound calm and jovial, trying to ease your mind with his tone. You weren’t entirely convinced, still on edge without your powers, but you sheathed the dagger anyway.
“Can I get a shower before you yell at us? I think I still have blood in my hair,” you grumbled. You were still grungy and gross from battle and covered in cuts, scrapes, and a couple of ugly bruises. Loki had hidden them with illusions for playing with the actors.
“Fine,” Tony grumbled. “But don’t disappear. Hang out here today,” he suggested.  It wasn’t really a suggestion, but he was trying to make it sound like it was.
“You’re not going to yell?” you asked. Disappearing before he could yell sounded like a good idea.
“Just lecture. A little,” Tony replied with a smile.
“I think you can handle that,” you told him, trying to smile in return. It was hard, though.
You wrapped your arms around one of Loki’s as the three of you walked into the compound. You needed the extra security of Loki’s presence. You were feeling too unsteady without it. Part of it was exhaustion and part was your powers being bound. You really shouldn’t have used all of that power earlier, but you couldn’t have let those people die either. You and Loki headed up to the floor of the compound where your suites were. “I made sure they didn’t touch your suite,” you commented while you walked.
“Thank you for that,” he replied and seemed pleased that his room hadn’t changed.  That his second home hadn’t changed.  Loki slowed and looked down at you. “Are you alright?” his voice was full of concern. You realized you were still holding onto his arm too tightly and loosened your grip, holding his hand instead, and not squeezing it hard enough to bruise.
“Sorry. I’m feeling off today.” you admitted sheepishly.
He kissed the top of your head. “I know, darling. You will feel better once you get some actual rest,” he insisted. He left you at the door to your suite, after checking the inside for intruders before you entered, so you could shower and change into clean clothes in peace.
His suite was just across the hall.
Loki was home.  You both were. It felt strange after all this time, but it felt right at the same time.

To Rescue and Reason
Myss has been in the Dreaming City for far too long. Of course, Amara to the rescue. Featuring @myssthyss.
The city was quiet so early in the morning, the birds had only just started their morning songs and the sun was hardly on the horizon.
Amara was already awake. A steaming cup of tea in her grasp as she leaned on the railing of her balcony at home, the traveler illuminated by city lights above her.
Unfortunately, Myss was not asleep in the bed inside. She wasn’t even on the same planet as her. It had been like this for about two months now. They had both been so caught up in different things and had wandered far from each other.
She missed her. A lot.
The redhead summoned Iris to her palm, [Mornin’ ‘Mara.] he said quietly, sensing her mood.
“Mornin’ bud. Was wonderin’, do you still have a message from Myss? It’d be from before the Hive threat on Mars, when I went patrolling alone.”
[Let me check...Yes. Here it is.]
After a moment the sound of Myss played through the ghost, “Come home soon babe. Please. I miss you.”
The redhead closed her eyes as the message played again, bringing every memory of Myss she could think of to the front of her mind. Remembering what she had told her about Awoken mind linking.
She narrowed her thoughts in the direction of the Dreaming City trying to feel something, anything, trying the feel the connection.
Nothing.
Amara sighed quietly, she didn't want to be that partner. The one who constantly bothers the other. Who constantly asks if everything is okay.
The two had hardly spoken in their two months apart. Myss was fine, Amara knew that. Didn’t make her miss her any less, though.
She had been tirelessly trying to break the curse on the Dreaming City ever since they had accidentally unleashed it after killing Riven. Amara felt her own guilt on being the cause of the curse, but it hit Myss much harder. It physically hurt her to see Myss in such pain, caged by her guilt. There’s no way that the distance between them was helping either.
Amara had been keeping a watchful eye over the tower. After hearing nothing from Shiro or any other veteran hunter, she decided to help out newly risen Hunter kinderguardians and make sure she could help Ikora or Zavala if they needed it.
Not to mention playing both sides of the field when it came to the The Drifter and his Gambit. With Thorn reappearing and the bastard man threatening repercussions of her continued support of the Vanguard, she needed to make sure she kept up with everything.
Only finally did she manage a day to herself. She made her way back inside, debating. She was tired of being lonely, and...sad, for a lack of better words. Going to bed and waking up without Myss was something she didn’t want to do anymore.
After a brief moment she straightens, “Iris, we’re going dark. Get the ship ready.”
[Done.]
Amara lands in the Divalian Mists, immediately summoning Iris to locate Petra. No time for sightseeing, she just needs to find Myss.
After a brief catch up with the Queen’s Wrath and a quick update on the situation in the Dreaming City, Amara was officially more worried than she was before. With Myss’ last known location pinged, the redhead made her way towards the Oracle engine.
Amara had herself a seat in the grass, right in front of where an ascendant portal should deposit one tall Awoken hunter. She pulls out her knife and idly spins it on her finger a few minutes before the portal did just that.
Myss lands on the ground with a small thud and immediately stiffens at the sight of her girlfriend in front of her. She’s excited, of course, but she didn’t exactly want Amara to see her like this. Though she had a sneaking suspicion it was too late.
“Hey, you.” Amara smiles, for some reason she seemed suddenly irritated. “Haven’t heard from ya in a while.” She stands and sheaths her knife.
“Yeah.” Myss says quietly, turning soft. She places a hand on Amara’s cheek, “I’ve missed you.”
The redhead leans into the contact, noticing ripped pieces of fabric wrapped around her treasured Oathkeepers, like she was trying to hide them. Her normal Raid armor had been replaced with generic boring gear, all lacking a familiar purple hue.
Why was Myss...hiding herself?
After a moment she also notices that her girlfriend’s helmet was still covering her face. “May I actually see you? Give you a kiss?”
Myss shook her head ‘no’ before she could stop herself.
“What?” Amara asked, stunned, her eyes narrowed. “Myss...take off the helmet.”
She gave up, her girlfriend was going to find out, one way or another. Myss quickly sat down on the ground, almost collapsing, “I...I just don’t want you to see me like this….”
Amara shook her head, “Like what, babe?”
A silent message to Casper and her helmet disappears. Amara quickly joins her girlfriend on the ground, thumbs rubbing over the scars around her eyes as Myss leans into the missed contact.
Her eyes were bloodshot, darkened, and heavy with exhaustion. “Oh Myss…” the redhead whispers sadly.
“It looks worse than it is, ‘Mara. I promise.” Myss explained, sitting across from her girlfriend inside the Oracle Engine.
“Then what is it supposed to look like?!” Amara exclaimed, standing in front of her. “You’ve been using Queensfoil so much that it’s affecting your eyes, your health! How long before you can’t see this plane of existence anymore, stuck forever in the ascendant realm….”
Myss was looking down, “I can see just fine, ‘Mara.”
“Casper. Can you heal them, have you tried?” Amara asked as the Ghost appeared, ignoring her girlfriend’s words.
{It’s been a while since I’ve had to rez her, but I’m guessing the effects of prolonged usage will fade with time.} The Ghost floated close to his Guardian as he spoke.
Amara was upset, yes, but worried more than anything. She wanted to get Myss out of the city. She needed to heal, and not just her eyes.
The redhead kneeled in front of her love, “Myss. You can’t keep doing this to yourself. You can’t go on like this forever….”
“Why not? I’m immortal, Amara.” Myss defended.
“As long as Casper’s around, yes. But what’s the point of living a life like this and hating it? You’re not even enjoying it here. You’re so tired and exhausted you can’t even send your girlfriend a message back home…” Amara responded quickly, voice sharp.
White eyes finally met blue ones, and she could hardly read them. Exhaustion, anger, apology.
“Why can’t you come home?” Amara began again, softer.
“I...can’t. I just can’t.” Myss responded, looking down again. She was trying to piece it together.
“That doesn’t make any sense. Look, I know this is important to you but-“
“This is too important!” The Awoken interrupted, the aura on her face swirling fast. “I can’t stop fighting. Hell. I’m practically the only one left fighting! No one's doing anything about it except me!” Her voice raised in frustration.
“This is on me. I lead the team that killed Riven. I brought the heart to the Techeuns. I have to find a way to break this curse. The fate of my people is on the line! And I will not be the cause of the extinction of the Awoken race.”
“Of course you won’t, babe.” Amara says quietly and slowly, “Because the curse on the Dreaming City is not your fault. You did not wish for it. The curse is here because someone wanted it to happen after Rivens death. There was no way we could have known that.”
Myss sighed, “I can’t leave, ‘Mara. It’s like...I’m a part of the curse. I’m plagued to watch these Corsairs die every week. To see the exact same events happen every time. Each cycle the same! Even they know it’s coming! But they can’t stop, they can’t break free of the actions that lead to their death.” Her voice strained with the lump in her throat.
“You are not a victim of the curse Myss, I was part of that raid too and I have been able to leave just fine. You. You’re just not allowing yourself the leave.” Amara quickly disproved her theory.
“I feel...shame…Amara. Months have passed and I haven’t made any progress.” Myss says desperately. “I can’t leave.”
Their eyes meet. The silence is deafening.
Amara sighs, closing her eyes, thinking. Making Myss leave would be unfair. But so would letting her stay. So…
“Okay.” The redhead began, grabbing Myss’ attention. “Can we make a deal?”
It was a moment before she sat up, attentive. She wanted to fix this too.
“I will stay here with you for the next week. Help lighten your patrol load and brainstorm ideas on how to fix this mess,” Myss looked happy with that, “If, at the end of the week you will come home for a few days and take a break. Please.”
“You don’t have to stop fighting and I can come help you while your here, but,” Amara placed a hand on Myss’ cheek, “I need you to come home and you need something to stop you from losing your mind. We need each other.”
The Awoken thought for a moment, and lifted up one tentative finger, “One week.”
“Myssie. You okay?” Amara called out to her girlfriend as her ship came into view, she knew this was difficult for her.
Myss turned and gave a soft smile, the City lay behind her. “I guess.”
Both ships now hovered on the edge of the Mists, ready to take them home.
“Thank you. For doing this.” Amara said quietly as she stood in front of her girlfriend.
“And thank you. For helping me. It’s much easier knowing someone has my back. Though it’s still hard to leave.” Myss said quietly, afraid to go. Afraid of what could happen in her absence.
“If Petra needs you, she will call you. And then we will come back. But now? You rest.” Amara comforted, slowly pushing the Awoken towards her ship.
“Rest. Yes please.”
“Casper! Beam her up!” She yelled with a quick pat to Myss’ butt before she disappeared.
After the flight home and a long time spent at the Tower, the girls find themselves on their bed. A few hours are spent on catching up. Amara filling her in with all the goings on in the city while she was away.
But soon conversation fades and sleep finally takes them.

To Carry A Curse (Rose x Julian)
(Look @creampuffs111 I actually wrote something today!)
"I'd take any wound for you, you know that."
Julian's muscular form leaned over the small redhead female below him. Her gold eyes searched for Julian's dark grey ones before rolling her eyes.
"You're still human, and I'm going to kill you if you keep saying that." A sigh escaped her lips as she tried pushing Julian off of her but he wouldn't budge.
"You can't kill me, darling. I'm practically immortal with this curse if you forgot that bit of information."
"Fine, I will use your body as a meat shield." Julian barked with laughter at the comment
Seeing the way Julian’s eye shine with that mischievous glint only urged her to tug on his soft hair to stop him from rambling.
Julian shifted once again so that his face was mere centimetres away from her, making her heart race at an uncomfortable pace. She wished she could move back but considering he was on top of her, she had no choice but to focus on him.
"You know I am being serious right? Rose?"
His fingers brushed a red curl away from her face. Rose didn't say a thing and it worried Julian. He furrowed his brows and with delicacy tilted her chin so he had a better look at her, to make sure that she was really paying attention to him.
When Rose got silent like this it only made Julian nervous. He was used to her spitfire comebacks and the way she smirked when she got her way. But below him, he saw a little girl who looked like she was fighting demons within herself. Alone.
Julian was about to speak up again when he was quickly interrupted.
"I know you are being serious Julian. Never have I ever doubted you when you said you would take any wound from me, and before you stop me I want you to hear me out. You're still human. You can die. You might be able to endure all kinds of pain and walk it off as if it never hurt. But that doesn't make me feel any better when you take a hit for me. Every day that we get in god knows what kind of trouble, I constantly worry about your safety."
Rose stopped for a moment before exhaling the breath she never realised she was holding.
"I told you that I would protect you no matter what. Taking on your pain for you is nothing. Yes, I feel the sting but I would do again an-"
"Stop. Don't you go there with me."
Rose raised her hand to cover his mouth to stop him before he went into one of those dramatic monologue's she dreaded to listen to.
"Don't you understand what it's like being in my position? To know that every time you get hurt only to smile at me and tell me that you are alright only brings more guilt onto me? I'm fully capable of taking care of myself. I'm not a little girl that needs to be protected all the time. I'm a magician and I want to be able to protect you."
Her gold eyes shone with a fiery determination that Julian was very familiar with. Hearing her confession only made his heart swell with adoration and the desire to protect her even more. Rose was very strong but what she didn't know was that every night he was plagued by nightmares of losing her. The thought of living without her was his greatest fear.
God, he couldn't stop looking at Rose as the last bit of sunlight shone onto her form, illuminating her fair skin and red hair, making her look like a beautiful angel. His angel.
Nothing was said between them, the silence only making Rose feel anxious and uneasy at Julian's intense look.
"What is it Julian?" she whispered softly as she brought her hand to brush his bangs away from his face.
Ah, that hint of worry in her voice was music to his ears. He couldn't help but give her a crooked smile and brush his fingers through her red locks.
"The problem is," he said as he leaned in, "if I kissed you, I don't think I'd be able to stop."
A second after Julian said those words, Rose's face flushed a cute shade of pink. She could never hide her embarrassment from him.
Just as Rose was about to give in to Julian, the sound of footsteps brought the couple out of their trance as Portia stood before them holding a lantern above her face to get a better look in the city night.
"Alright lovebirds, enough with the chit chatting. Get up and help me find Pepi! Who knows where the cat could have gone. I will be in big trouble if I don’t make it back to the palace. You know how touchy Nadia can be about timing."
Julian pouted in Portia's direction, not moving from his current position.
"Portia, beloved sister, as happy as I am to see you I was just about to have a romantic moment with Rose. Why must you ruin everything?"
"Because," Portia snickered, "My eyes will combust into flames if I see any PDA action."
Julian looked up at his sister whose eyes shone of mischief and amusement. Julian threw his hand back as if he was in real pain. It was a common occurrence for the siblings to have their dramatic moments and it seemed that right now was one of them.
"I agree with Portia. We got better things to be doing. Now, where is my bag?"
Rose pushed Julian off of her and reached for her bag that was strewn across the floor to her right. Standing up carefully she brushed through her red locks, a habit that she did often when she was nervous.
Julian quickly followed suit and when Portia wasn't looking grabbed Rose's arm and pulled her towards him so only she could hear. His breath tickled her ear, sending shivers down her spine.
"We shall continue this after finding Pepi and returning my sister back to the palace, and this time I won't hold back." His once bright grey eyes were dark with lustful intentions.
And with that Julian ruffled her hair and marched onwards as if nothing had happened, leaving Rose both agitated and a blushing mess.
Rose loved and hated the man but she wouldn't change him for anyone else. Even though they knew each other for while since breaking into her shop, she still felt that she had only seen a fraction of Julian's true identity. She often pondered how he spent time on the run by himself. How lonely he might have felt living but at the same time not.
While Rose knew that she only learned a limited amount of magic through her master, she would fight for him. She would remind him every day that he means the world to her and prove that she is not a fragile girl that he seemed to see in her.
Breaking out of her thoughts, Rose's black boots crunched on the fallen leaves, reaching her hand towards Julian's, and intertwining their fingers, making it a perfect fit. Rose understood that some sort of physical affection calmed Julian of his fears.
Surprised, Julian looked down before smiling affectionately at Rose, bring their entwined hands to his face and giving her hand a gentle kiss on the back of her palm.
This simple gesture only proved of their love for one another and Julian made a mental oath that he would fight every day and take any hits for Rose, even if that meant her survival and always have her at his side.

i'm a sucker for angst, so lately i've been thinking about vampire AUs, so how about really sad reaction where EXO members (any you wish :) are humans and their s/o is a vampire, who refuses to turn them into vampires because s/he doesn't want them to suffer endless life? What do they do? (like, one accepts it, one breaks up because he doesn't want to get old alone while s/o will be forever young (and forced to watch him die), one will still stay, one will continue to insist s/o turns them)
Kris: (breaks up)
The light outside that slipped through the small cracks at the bottom of the thick blinds that covered the large windows in the room alerted Kris to dawning morning. The silk sheets below him comforted his aching body but not his aching heart. Today was the day he’d do it, today is the day he’d leave you. He loved you with all of his heart but he could bare to face living a life where he’d continue to age and be closer to death with each breath he took while his lover stayed eternally young and beautiful. He just couldn’t face that reality, he didn’t want to.
As the light continued to seep into the room through the small cracks with an ever growing brightness the time for his departure came ever-nearer. He took his eyesight away from the light to turn and face your sleeping form. Vampires didn’t need to sleep during the daylight like most people believed but it did help store up more energy for hunts when they needed to feed and Kris knew you’d be hunting tonight when you woke up but not necessarily to feed- you’d be hunting for him- hunting for the lover that he knew you didn’t want to let go of but didn’t want to turn either. The beauty of your sleeping face enticed his desire to stay longer, to give up his decision to leave, to give up the decision to run and live a life with someone who’d age along with him rather than facing an eventual death alone while you’d stand and watch. Oh god, how seeing you swaddled up in the blankets, curled up towards him, made him want to wrap his arms around you and never let go! but he had to let go. He had to let go and leave before it was too late or his heart would only break more the longer he stayed.
“I love you” he’d say hoarsely as he slid his free hand towards you to unwrap your freezing fingers from his other hand. All the muscles in his body felt heavy, as if to give him another reason to stay but he couldn’t he knew he couldn’t even if it went against everything his body, and even parts of his mind, “I’ll always love you.”
Once his hand was free from your hold he’d force himself to get up from the bed, leaving the warmth of the sheets and your love to face his back. He’d trudge heavily yet quietly out of the room, careful to make sure that the heavy wooden doors closed silently behind him, stealing the chance to get one last glance at you as they did before he’d force himself to nearly drag his unwilling feet to move forward down the hall, down the winding grand staircase, through the grand entrance of your house, and once again through a pair of large doors before he’d be outside. The sun would be bright and birds would be singing but Kris would feel as if the weight of the world had been placed on his shoulders and the day couldn’t possibly be any more dreary, his chest would feel like a dead weight stone and his feet like logs. With a heavy heart he’d turn to take once last glance at your residence before turning back around to begrudgingly take his leave.
“I love you but I can’t do this. You’ve shown me that a vampires love is the best love but what is that love truly worth if it can’t be eternal like you? I’ll take my leave now, I expect that you’ll come searching for me when you wake to find my side of the bed empty but I’ll make my tracks as invisible as possible. I hate to leave you but I can’t stand to stay. I hate to break your heart this way but mine breaks every day being with you like this. I love you y/n, I love you and your eternal beauty, but I cannot love our mortal relationship. Farewell!”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Suho: (accepts it/ stays)
“To be honest my darling, I don’t think that I’d actually enjoy being immortal. There’s only so many things you can say and do before you’ve reached the limits of freedom and desire before it all becomes stale and repetitive. Who would want to live a life like that? Truly, if there’s anyone to feel more sorry for than all the rest it’d be you because you have to face that reality due to your infinite lifespan.”
“And that’s precisely why I won’t change you and grant you the curse of an eternal life with me even if I love you and want to hug you and cherish you for the rest of my days.” you reply as you take a sip of the the wine that used to taste so sweet and delicate against your taste-buds but is now just another form of liquid for you to intake. “Surly even our love would become stale at some point if we were to face the rest of eternity together. I’d hate to see that love, passion, and desire for adventure and the will to live a good and fulfilled life to die within you as you’d continuously age without aging.”
You’re glad that Suho understands what it’d really mean to become a vampire to live alongside you for all of eternity. It makes your denial to turn him less guilt-induced and you wouldn’t have to worry about him constantly trying to change your mind or worry about him wondering why you refuse. The both of you would be at ease and could enjoy each other’s company without fear or anguish, jealousy or bewilderment, guiding your conversations. However, although Suho seems to try and pull of complete acceptance over being your mortal lover your heightened senses would be able to tell you otherwise, there’s still a small form of reluctance to stay human and live a normal life within him, deep down within him there is still a small desire to be a vampire.
Despite that small desire still wading within the depths of his deep soul, he’d still put on his biggest smile and stay by your side. He’d take a sip of the sweet wine that has been pouring into your glasses since early noon that day after he requested to be turned, it was now past 10 in the night, the sun having long gone down along with the majority of his bravery to ask to be turned and the desire to live eternally since your initial refusal. You’d both be drunk if not for the fact that you are a vampire which therefore eliminates the chances of getting that “high and mighty” feeling since alcohol doesn’t affect you but Suho still seemed to have a fit mind about him taking in the consideration that he had just imagined the true reality of what it’s like to lose the life of being human to become a vampire.
“I will admit though, that I may be a bit disappointed in you y/n. Even if I were to face that with you at least I’d still be with you in the end. but all’s well-ends well I guess. Either way I’ll continue to love you to the end of my days, mortal or not.”

Kyungsoo: (accepts it/ stays)
There at the far end of the table sat the man whom you had just denied to turn immortal. His sight stared fixated on nothing in particular as his food continued to steam upon his plate but was cooling with each passing second. It was clear that he was unhappy about your refusal to turn him but he and you both knew that he does well with reacting to any situation accordingly therefore he would forgive and forget, never to ask again to become a vampire even if the desire to become one and the same as you still existed deep in his muddled mind.
“Kyungsoo please eat before your food gets cold.”  He’d be taken out of his trance upon your almost emotionless beg, his large eyes aiming up toward you while his head still bent low, “so what if this food gets cold. It can be heated up again or saved for later. It’s not like it needs to be thrown out the moment it is no longer warm, it can last a while.” His statement is true about the food but there’s a hidden message behind it that you can clearly decipher without having to ask further, it’s about the love that he has for you and what would be missed once he is gone- dead from old age as a mortal being-. It meant that he still loved you even though it may be a bit sour at the moment due to the fact that you won’t turn him but it would turn back to normal after he simmered out his upset emotions over being denied of his wish hell, it may even come back stronger than before. It meant that just because his love wouldn’t be eternal that doesn’t mean that he’d have to quit loving you and move on to someone else.
Moments later Kyungsoo came out of another short trance and began to dig into his food. He was still upset that you wouldn’t let him become a vampire but, as said before, he’d knows how to react accordingly so he won’t let it get too far into his head. “Will you want to feed after I’m finished?” he asks between chewing a bite of chicken. “Yes” you say dryly, feeling the itchiness of your throat at the thought of drinking his delectable blood.  “Fine then. I’ll finish as quickly as possible.”
Nothing else is said between you. Once Kyungsoo finishes he gets up from his seat and walks over to the other side of the table where you have been sitting patiently for him to finish. “Where would you like me to be?” he asks “just sit on the table, I’ll take my fill from there.” He sits down in front of you upon the tabletop, tilting his head to give you an easier time on feeding. You’ll sink your fangs into him and get an instant high from the taste of the metallic liquid that oozes into your mouth. It’s so good it that it drives you nearly insane enough to want to drain him dry each time you get a taste of him. “I’ll admit” you say as you pull away after licking the wounds closed “I will miss the taste of you once you’re gone- along with the pure love you give to me- I’ll miss it so much that it makes me debate retracting my refusal to urn you but we’ll have to wait and see if that happens as time passes on.”
You send him a pleased smirk and he’ll once again look up at you with his head still bent low. “I look forward to the day when you officially decide whether to retract that statement or not.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tao: (continues to insist)
“I don’t see why you refuse to turn me. I don’t care about having to drink blood like you and I wouldn’t care about watching the people I know grow old and die…. well ok maybe I’d care about that but that’s no reason to not turn me, I’d get used to it eventually.” he’d whine in your ear as you refuse to turn him into a vampire yet again- for the 8th time this week. “Wouldn’t you like having me around for the rest of eternity? I mean c’mon who wouldn’t?”
“Hmmmm” you hum as you pretend to debate your answer “actually I probably wouldn’t. You can be quite annoying at times” you say with a smirk, intending it to be a joke but also knowing full well that it’s also the truth “and as much as you say you wouldn’t mind drinking blood you and I both know that that is a full on lie, the moment you’d get a taste of a single drop you’d flip not to mention the whole process of getting you to drink it in the first place. It’d be like trying to feed a toddler pickles or sorbet rather than ice cream.” You’d end your reply with a shrug of your shoulders and a knowing look direct at his pouting figure that sits on the couch facing you.
“Aish! you really are so insensitive. I’m beginning to think that vampires really don’t have a heart and you’re just pretending to love me.”
“Go head and believe that” you say, picking up a glass of blood that’s in a wine glass and sipping it delicately as you watch him as he stares at you with a blank expression, his mouth slightly agape at your response. You smile at him playfully, knowing damn well that you’ve won this fight- yet again-... or so you thought.... yet again.
He’ll spring up from the couch with a stern look in your his eyes and determination written on his face. “I swear to it that I’ll make you see that I’d be a perfect vampire! tell me to do anything that vampires normally do, I’l do it to prove to you that I can! You already know I’m strong and know martial arts so that would aid my vampire-ic skills once I gained them and I’ll show you that I won’t be whiny like a little child like you say I would be! C’mon! tel me to do something that you normally do so that I can prove to you that I’m worthy of being turned by you!”
