my approach to witchcraft is a very... lazy approach? I'm a big proponent of "if it feels right" methods and doing only as much as you feel capable of
which leads to me wandering around my kitchen holding a teacup full of burning paper and thyme, clutching some coyote foot bones in the other, and muttering grumpily at my household guardians that we don't have to do this ceremony shit they can just eat whatever food I forget to put away because ~ADHD~ mean I will always leave food out

Thoughts on tokyo revengers
Okay so I just need to share my thoughts on this show somewhere because I am trying to decide if I truly love it or not.
So far ep. 1-20 I give it a 7.5/10.
Where the show succeeds is in its attempt to mix a time traveling element into a gang/life of crime story/revenge story. The time traveling aspect is the only supernatural element so far, which makes Takemichi’s lack of fighting skill all the more frustrating and believable. The characters have decent background stories, the plot is enticing or entertaining at the least, and the fights are decent.
But here are the reasons I don’t love it:
-The crybaby and useless protagonist turns into OP super confident protagonist trope can be annoying. So far he hasn’t turned into a strong person himself (altho I have a feeling its going there at some point) but god damn, he cries all the time. He can’t fight for shit and insists on being in a gangster world where the weakest member of each gang can body him. He is literally crying every other scene which becomes annoying. He is like a Deku style character expect no crazy inner power other than time travel which is not explained. Now don’t get me wrong, I didn’t expect him to become a crazy fighter in one season, but I could really do less with the crying.
-Takemichi knows he is (for lack of a better word) a bitch. But yet he jumps into the past without training or truly preparing for the things he has to do. He talks to his ex’s cop brother, goes back in time, and expects to accomplish shit. Shouldn’t he at-least train to learn how to fight so he can defend himself?
-How was Takemichi able to participate in many of the meetings/ceremonies without being a member of the gang itself. Like yeah Mikey likes him and all that but bro is literally in every event without being a member, doesn’t really make sense.
-Everyone is the cool guy/bad ass character which is alright at first but then its like okay, new character? Are they a bad ass who can kick anyones ass? okay get to the back of the line.
-THE ANIMATION! As an animation hoe, I do like when its done well. But fine I can’t expect everything to be like crazy good. This show is fine most of the time but there are scenes that look like shit. On Tik Tok there was a meme about how in a scene from the show during the fight between Valhalla and Tokyo Manji, Takemichi is running to the fight but it looks like he has a fat ass. I think the show is solid at static shots where the characters are standing, but when it comes to motion or action, you can really see the flaws. Some of the fighting looks really lack luster with simple swings and static shots of what could be perceived as fighting. (also I find it a little unbelievable that Mikey is that good at fighting, but thats the least of my concerns lol).
Overall I am interested to see where its going...also im not proof reading this since no one will read it. Don’t let me know if you disagree cuz I don’t care :D

Tumblr media
if you had to be known as something in class 1-a, it would be for your ability to effortlessly perform karaoke ((even if you weren’t that good of a singer, you were entertaining)) and the classes bimonthly lip-sync challenge extravaganza champion
you had won five out of the eight competitions, not that you were keeping tracks or anything
you just loved the energy of a good lip-sync, it was basically acting for people like you and your peers who were not made to be movie stars
so it really did not surprise anyone when you joined the baku-squad to randomly approach your fellow classmates, and school mates and break out in a flashmob type performance, only with lip-syncing (minus bakugou because he refused to even participate in these actions)
so the second you began unironically lip-syncing at every time of the day, your boyfriend shouto was both ready, and not ready in the slightest
it started off small
when you and shouto had planned a date to go off-campus and plain and simply “get lost”
shouto knew immediately he had made a mistake when he asked you if there were any plans tonight so the two of you could go out, and you squealed pulling out your phone and picked a great song
“Do you got plans tonight, baby? I was hoping I could get lost in your paradise. The only thing I’m thinking ‘bout is you and I, And I-I-I can’t get you off my mind, Can’t get you off my mind. I can’t seem to get you off my mind, yeah. Let’s get lost tonight, Let’s get lost tonight, Baby, you and I can’t seem to get you off my mind. Let’s get lost tonight.”
you dramatized your actions as Shawn Mendes voice filled his room.
“well, if I’m being honest, maybe I should date him instead…”
“TODOROKI-KUN!”
it then happened again a few days later, you had been baking with the girls in preparation of midterms because sweets always helped make the suffering the tiniest bit more bearable.
you, however, needed to study, and despite shouto’s everyone’s disproval, you still were actively participating in baking when you and mina weren’t busy trying to contract salmonella by eating the different batters when momo and tsu weren’t looking
“y/l/n, you need to study…” shouto spoke as he watched you spill the contents of the flour bag into a measuring cup for momo
you shook your head defiantly, already knowing that your boyfriend was going to come down and tell you to leave and so you were ready, so you merely raised your phone,
“But girls, they wanna have fun. Oh girls just want to have, That’s all they really want. Some fun. When the working day is done. Oh, girls, they wanna have fun. Oh, girls just wanna have fun.”
you playfully danced around the kitchen as your lips never stopped moving in synch to the lyrics, and you made your way over to shouto, a grin on your face
pressing a kiss to his cheek you giggle, “I’ll be up once we put everything in to bake, I promise!”
as soon as you had returned to shouto’s room to study, he was giving you a very judgmental look as you kissed him, a smirk on your face as you clicked play
“y/l/n, I swear if you play what I think you’re going to–”
“Oh no, not I, I will survive. Oh, as long as I know how to love, I know I’ll stay alive. I’ve got all my life to live, And I’ve got all my love to give and I’ll survive. I will survive!!!!!!!”
you wiggled your eyebrows at shouto who accurately assumed what song you’d lip sync for him
shouto stared at you, a complete deadpan
as you laughed in supreme joy of getting the boy annoyed, the laughter turned into shrieks as shouto launched himself towards you, tickling your sides
“I WILL SURVIVE!!!” you cackle in between gasps of breath as he kisses you softly
weeks later, you held yourself in attempt to bring warmth to yourself in your cold room because even with two blankets and the heater on, you were cold
stupid winter
deciding to risk getting caught by night owls like kaminari and sero, you snuck into shouto’s room where he was writing a letter, most likely to his mother because he hadn’t had the time to go see her recently
“wow, the old man is still up!” you say in honest shock and complete playful mockery
“now I regret staying up so late, I have a crackhead in my room.” shouto responds back and your jaw drops
he was so good being witty, it was unfair
“shouto, I’m cold.”
“I don’t feel cold.”
“wanna dance with me?”
“I don’t really want my feet to be stepped on…”
you puffed your cheeks out in mild frustration as a knowing smirk sat on shouto’s face, he had gotten too good at detecting when you would serenade him with another lip-sync, but even if he had deflated your joy in annoying him, you still played the song
“yeah, im still playing with it, deal with it!”
“Oh, I wanna dance with somebody. I wanna feel the heat with somebody. Yeah, I wanna dance with somebody, With somebody who loves me. Oh, I wanna dance with somebody. I wanna feel the heat with somebody. Yeah, I wanna dance with somebody, With somebody who loves me.“
you smile contently as shouto allows you to snuggle up close to him as the two of you sway slowly in his room and you realize quickly how less cold you feel
“are you using your quirk?” you whisper into his chest unsure if the heat now flooding your system was created by shouto, or caused by him
“hm, no. do you want me to?”
you smile and shake your head, “I’m perfect right now.”
it’s your guys’ graduation ceremony, and as an old tradition, your class was going to go out all together. it was mina’s choice and so she chose for the class to go dancing at some club for 18+-year-olds.
you stood ready in your favorite partying outfit knowing that tonight was going to be one of the final nights where you would not be obsessed with hero work and would be with your high school family like this
you were scrolling through your phone looking for a song that you wanted to lip-sync to shouto before you all left because it had been weeks since you had an epiphany and you hadn’t gathered the nerve to tell him it yet
“Hey, y/l/n-chan, can you go get todoroki? he’s the only one not down here yet.” mina asked and you nodded your hand
“you guys can go.” you insisted as you had found the perfect song, “we’ll catch up!”
the class nodded knowing that the two of you weren’t the type to hookup during the time and so they left taking most of the part excitement with them
gathering your nerve, you climbed up the stairs to shouto’s room, your phone grasped in your hand
you walked in on shouto wearing a pair of plain black slacks and a simple white T-shirt that was snuggly fitted, and you choked on your tongue at his appearance
shouto glanced over at you and smiled, “what song is it? I’m not really aware of any hurry-up-now-please songs.”
with a shaky finger, you pressed play on the song, tucking away the phone and walked towards shouto who turned and looked at you in near disbelief
“Wise men say only fools rush in, But I can’t help falling in love with you. Shall I stay? Would it be a sin If I can’t help falling in love with you? Like a river flows surely to the seaDarling, so it goesSome things are meant to beTake my hand, take my whole life tooFor I can’t help falling in love with you. Like a river flows surely to the sea. Darling, so it goes, Some things are meant to be. Take my hand, take my whole life too, For I can’t help falling in love with you, For I can’t help falling in love with you.”
you break away from shouto who you had wrapped your arms delicately around his shoulders as you managed to sing along with the song, a blush staining your entire face, tears misting in both of your eyes
“I-i’ve fallen in love with you.”
and poor shouto has no idea what to say, so instead, he reacts
he places a kiss to your lips as he holds you close
“I’m in love with you, too.”
I honestly had sooo much fun with this??? I love doing lip-synch during finals week because the stress of everything really makes songs entertaining to perform!!! songs are listed here by order of appearance: is Lost In Japan by Shawn Mendes, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun by Cyndi Lauper, I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor, I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me) by Whitney Houston, and Can’t Help Falling In Love by Kina Grannis. (((its the cover from Crazy Rich Asians and I love that cover, fight me)))
bonus!
it had been four years since graduating and shouto was getting ready to propose and the entire class 1-a was waiting for shouto to arrive
“how do you think he’s going to do it?” uraraka sighs dreamily as she stares at her engagement ring on her own finger
“better not be fucking stupid.” bakugou mutters from the opposite end of the room
“I don’t know about you guys, but if shouto doesn’t propose by lip-synching ‘Marry Me’ by Jason Derulo, or ‘Perfect’ by Ed Sheeran, I think I deserve to take y/n from him.” kaminari joked as he remembered that old playful thing you and everyone else were semi-obsessed about
“I’ll take some of that action!” mina laughs
everyone quiets up as shouto walks in, “so, I have an idea. I hope you guys like it…”

[ 365 Days of SasuHina || Day One Hundred Seventy-Three: A Joyous Moment ] [ Uchiha Sasuke, Hyūga Hinata ] [ SasuHina ] [ Verse: Best Years of Your Life ] [ AO3 Link ]
Seven years...seven years she’s been waiting for this moment. Since that fateful day her sophomore English teacher assigned them all penpals from all over the world to help improve their English.
Hinata, oddly enough, wound up with someone from her ancestors’ lands. Though a second generation American, she and both her parents (as well as her sister) all bear names from Japan. Which, yes, got her teased (and goodness knows how many times both first and last have been mispronounced…), but she’s proud of her heritage.
Which meant a kind of excitement at being matched with a student from Japan. While the project would only last the semester, she hoped to learn more about the lands where her bloodlines came from.
Uchiha Sasuke was his name, as it would be said there. The same age as herself. At first, of course, it was rather...stiff. Formal. Especially since Sasuke’s English was a bit...well, by the book. Slang was nearly non-existent. Not that she minded. That was the point, after all: to give them someone to help practice the language with. They talked about their schools, their lessons, their friends, their family...all rather basic, predictable things. Sasuke would talk about his brother, Itachi...and she in turn spoke of her sister Hanabi, and cousin Neji. Sasuke also had a cousin, Shisui...and apparently many more where that came from. The Uchiha were rather populous in their city.
When Hinata admitted to knowing very little of her extended family, or of knowing many others with such heavy Japanese descent, it was then they hatched a plan: someday, he would come to America, and meet her in person.
Of course, back then - given how young they were - it felt like an empty promise. Surely it would never actually happen. After all, they’d stop talking once the project was done with.
...wouldn’t they?
As the weeks slipped by and Sasuke’s English improved, Hinata found herself melancholy. In truth...she didn’t want to stop talking. She’d grown rather attached to her penpal. So as their final letters were exchanged, she slipped an extra piece of paper alongside her letter. On it, her email was scribbled.
...would he send her something…?
When several days passed with nothing to show in her inbox, Hinata couldn’t help a feeling of disappointment. Maybe he hadn’t felt the same: that they were friends beyond the project. Had all he said only been because it was for a grade…?
Did she really not matter to him…?
Boredly scrolling the internet one night, she glanced to the pinned tab as her email gave a ding. By then, it had almost faded from her mind. Probably just more junk mail she didn’t give a hoot about…
...wait...she doesn’t recognize that address…
Is it…?
Barely daring to hope, she opened the message...and found a note from Sasuke at last! He apologized for the delay - he and his family had gone out of town and he’d been without any wifi. But he did indeed want to keep talking…!
Brightening, she wrote out a reply as fast as she could, insisting there was no need for an apology: that she was just happy to hear from him.
From then on, every few days almost without fail, the pair would exchange a message. At times it would dwindle as life got busy, or slow. When they were away. But even as they both left high school behind and began university, they kept up the correspondence. Tales of their new educations, new friendships, changes in their family.
And yet, oddly enough...neither of them ever had one particular topic to share.
Neither managed to date.
Hinata, of course, didn’t feel it all that odd. She was too shy, and (in her opinion) too plain to warrant a significant other. Besides, school kept her busy, and she didn’t need the distraction. But surely Sasuke would have found someone by then, right? He’d often complained about clingy girls that annoyed him, but...apparently none ever struck him as someone he’d tolerate enough to try dating.
...part of her was curious.
And part of her dreaded the day.
Hinata had convinced herself it was because if Sasuke ever found himself a girlfriend, he wouldn’t have time for her anymore. College was time-consuming enough, and they typically only had time for brief blurbs of updates between projects and exams. And she didn’t want to have to lose time talking to her...friend.
...yeah. Friend.
Then, finally, her graduation date was approaching. Sasuke himself had done so the year before, but her own degree had required a bit more time after a university switch resulted in lost credits. Teasingly, she asked him what he was going to send her as a congratulatory gift.
“Well, what do you want?”
“Hm...I don’t know. I’ve never been good at asking for gifts…”
“Neither have I. It feels...selfish. Too forward.”
“Exactly!”
“But that doesn’t answer my question.”
“Sasuke, I was just teasing you. You don’t have to get or do anything for me.”
“But you sent me that card! The one you made?”
“It was just a card…”
“But you made it. It had your heart within it.”
The IM earned a pause, blushing behind the screen. Was that...what he meant? At times he’d still mix up words and meanings in English. Her heart was in it…? Well...yeah, maybe it was. He was her very good friend, after all. And friends make their friends nice things. Especially for something as important as graduation!
“You could make me one!”
“I’m no good at crafts...you would hate it.”
“No I wouldn’t! If you made it, then...your heart would be in it, too.”
A few minutes passed without reply.
“...do you remember the promise we made when we first began to talk?”
...promise? “Um...you mean about you visiting?”
“Yes.”
“...yeah, I remember.”
“Would that be a good gift?”
Her jaw dropped. “You...you want to come all the way here for my...graduation?”
“Yes!”
“But...that’s so much more than a card! I would feel so bad!”
“You forget I want to see you, too. We could call it even, Hinata.”
...he wanted to see her…
“...if it’s not too expensive, or out of the way, and you...really want to, then...yes, that would be a good gift. The best gift I could ask for…!”
“I will look into it. Keep your hands crossed!”
Giggling at both the prospect and his slip of phrase, Hinata had collapsed back on her bed with a smile as wide as the horizon. He might be coming…! She might get to see him at last! After so long…!
A week later, after exchanging dates and times and locations...it was set. He had his ticket, inbound a few days before her ceremony. And though it was still weeks away, her stomach filled with butterflies. What would it be like, finally seeing him in person? Sure, they would video call sometimes. She knew well what he looked like, as he did her. There wasn’t much mystery left between them, but...the distance no longer would be.
...would she...finally admit to how she felt?
...no, that felt like a cruel thing to do. He would be stuck here, after all, with her confession...if he rejected it, he couldn’t leave until his flight. It might ruin the rest of their meeting. And she couldn’t do that to him.
...and yet…
If he accepted it - if he felt the same - then wouldn’t there be no better time than being together at last? They could make the most of finally being able to see one another, touch one another…!
...but...and yet...if they…?
Even now, standing waiting for him to emerge from his gate, Hinata battles herself. What should she do? What should she say? Even her outfit took hours to decide: a white sundress and matching sandals, little bag over her shoulder. Not too much, and...hopefully not too little. Nice, but...not too nice.
...ugh, this is a nightmare…
But it’s too late to turn back now. People begin filing off the plane, and Hinata’s heart leaps to her throat. Short as she is, she struggles to see the moment he disembarks.
And then...there he is.
Bag over his shoulder, he looks around the airport curiously, and then starts scanning the crowd, a kind of anxiousness in his eyes.
Trying to push her way forward, Hinata calls, “...Sasuke?”
With a snap, he looks to her.
...it’s just like those cliché movies.
Suddenly trapped, unable to breathe, she stares at him. He stares back. Then they take a step...another...walk, jog, run! Arms find her waist, bringing her close with a laugh. Going so far as to squeeze her and lift her up, he earns a surprised eep before setting her down.
...this is just like she imagined…! A joyous moment of meeting, at last.
Parting, they look to each other with faces pinkened with happiness...and a bit of embarrassment.
“I...have waited so long to see you,” he admits, giving a flicker of a grin.
“Yeah...m-me too.” Her fingers start to fiddle at her front.
“It feels a bit...unreal, huh?”
“Yeah...it does.” Pause, then giggle. “I...I-I dunno what to say!”
“Neither do I. You’re...shorter than I thought you’d be.”
Her cheeks puff in a pout. “Well...you’re taller!”
Sasuke laughs. “Maybe I should pick you up again? Give you a better view?”
“N-no! I’m j-just fine here on the ground!” Her hands wave insistently.
“Well, then what would you have me do?”
“Um...we need to go get your luggage, right?”
“Yes...just one bag. I travel light.”
“Ah...o-okay.”
...another pause.
“Would you...show me the way?”
“Of...of course! Here, it’s -” As she gestures, something warm touches her hand.
It’s...it’s his hand. Enveloping her own as he waits to be led.
Pale eyes stare at it.
“...is this...not okay?”
She flounders. “Uh...n-no, that’s...that’s fine…”
“Good…” He gives her a soft smile. “...because I have wanted to do that for a very long time...Hinata.”
Pink creeps back into her cheeks...and then she gives a giddy smile in return.
“...yeah...me too.”
                                                           .oOo.
I...really like this one xD Maybe not as well written as it could be, but I had a rather busy day, so...as usual, that means writing late, and I'm a lil tired lol      I love the concept of penpals becoming friends and falling in love x3 So of course I had to do that lil trope with these two, haha! Otherwise tho...not much to say, I guess. I'm...pretty tired, and tomorrow will also be busy.      So on that note, I'ma hop off - thanks for reading!
