If something doesn’t work with Windows, it goes one of two ways. 1) you spend either 10 minutes or 3 hours trying to fix something, but it eventually works (you have no idea what fixed it and it’ll just break again later and you won’t know what fix worked) or you spend 10 hours trying to fix it and literally nothing changes. Just fucking reinstall it. Go fuck yourself.

If something doesn’t work in Linux, you’ll spend 3x as long, but it will eventually work. (It’ll break again later, but you know how to fix it again). You do a quick Google search and it tells you that you’re probably missing a few packages and installing those with a few commands will fix it. When installing those fails, it’s because your missing more packages. (This goes on for a little while) It’ll be a pain in the ass but itll work.

man thinking about users like puppychan and birdie (if you don’t know who they are, good) and. god they’re just such tragic cases. I used to wish I was famous online at like 11, the ages that they joined the internet and actually DID get fame, and watching them deteriorate over the years as a result of the attention that was constantly being piled on them was just. horrific honestly. it doesn’t excuse anything horrible they might’ve done but Jesus. I can’t imagine what it must do to a young mind to be under so much scrutiny while shoveling dopamine into your skull by scrolling furry art on twitter. Especially when people levying genuine criticism against you are also mixing that with disgusting bigotry. No one wanted to help these children, they just wanted to hate on them for being autistic/mentally ill/poc/queer/fat etc etc. and now they’re too far gone to save. (at least I think puppy is, last I’ve heard of him he’s still on tumblr and blaming his actions on ossd, but I’ve heard birdie has left the internet in a genuine attempt to get better). I wish I was known, I wish my art could touch more people. Or maybe I just want more friends. But god, I’m glad I don’t have the kind of fame I used to want.

This is a question I get frequently asked (for some reason)

But how I draw/design clothes for my AUs,

Honestly for the longest time I had no idea what I was doing, but I think the number one tip I can give is ‘think about the necessity’

Basically, don’t add details just cause it looks cool, what use to the story would they provide??

Some of my best examples being,

Barrier Jacket is actually a raincoat, in his AU the entire underground has collapsed and the only safe area to live is waterfall, which is why he’s gone to water repellent clothes instead of his usual warm hoodie,

Or Helical’s entire outfit, none of the monsters can touch the sun in that AU without burning alive, but they also live in a desert, so Helical’s clothes are lightweight and airy as to not overheat but covering as to not risk dusting

You can also add some fun little details that would help to tell a story, my Au StopGap has two different sanses in it, each of them have a different number on their jacket, that being the only distinguishable difference between the two (the premise is very similar to aftertale, basically they’re both the same sans from different timelines)

Another example being Lapin, him having a scarf of rabbit fur reveals he’s an (at least semi) accomplished hunter, the Fox trap scars also show that he’s become a good hunter through trial and a LOT of error

An example of this in a much much more well known AU would be if you took a look at Ink’s design,

If you look at his gloves you might notice they’re not just for aesthetic but actually Digital Artist gloves, giving away the fact he’s an Artist

Basically, treat the clothes like their own character, give them personality, rizz em up!!
