yeah i do, always and to all of them!! i’m always super grateful for them and to people taking the time to leave me one, so i feel like the least i can do to show that gratefulness is taking the time myself to acknowledge them by answering them!

When does a Saint Become a Monster? hands down. and tho the fic was always gonna be angsty, it wasn’t planned at all to make it that angsty, but then that’s just where the fic ended up taking me haha. anyway, i still am and will forever be incredibly proud of this tragedy in three acts.

6. What’s the fic you’ve written with the happiest ending?

it’s gotta be this can't be happening (it is), i think. like generally speaking all my fluff stories have happy endings, and i wrote many of those, but i think tcbh just really takes the cake by being the superior good arco timeline/skull being showered in love fic i’ve written so far.

i do! i wrote two of them so far, a khr x tua one and a khr x hp one. i’d also like to try my hands at a khr x atla crossover one of these days, but i don’t think crossovers will ever become something i’ll do on a regular basis at all.

nope, tho i think it’d be a real fun thing to do. and if one day i ever feel comfortable enough and ready to try it, i’d love to!

hmm, i don’t think i have one? i kind of, well, not exactly move on from them because they’ll always pull at my heartstrings and i’ll always hold them close to my heart, but i shipped different ships at different times of my life i could have called my all-time favorite ships (did that just make sense lol?). so right now i’d say colonnello/skull (khr) is my all-time favorite ship!

14. What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

honestly, none of them. like genuinely, both the wips i already published and the ones i have yet to alike, i fully intend to finish them eventually and really don’t feel at all like i’ll never succeed in doing so. now some of them will take time to finish, for sure, will take years and maybe even decades to finish, but as of now i’m confident i’ll be able to finish all of them anyway!

15. What are your writing strengths?

characterization, i think! i like to write the characters the same way they were written and that made me fall in love with them as much as possible, and i seem to be quite successful at it haha. or at least, so far no one thought i failed badly at it enough to let me know about it.

i’m really good at showing feelings/emotions too, at really diving into them and into how it affects the characters and why and how they came to feel that way to begin with. it’s also one of my absolute favorite thing to do when it comes to writing, so i guess it’s fortunate i happen to be good at it too lol.

on that note i think i’m not too bad at writing and portraying dynamics between the characters either. so basically i guess i feel quite confident with things that come to characters? i’m definitely a character-driven stories type of writer for sure!

oh wait, humor also! and it never fails to surprise and delight me whenever i’m told it hit the mark because i’d definitely wouldn’t call myself a funny person. outside writing, that is, apparently, and maybe i’m a little proud of it haha.

16. What are your writing weaknesses?

description was the first thing that came to mind lol. and, well, as much as i don’t think i necessarily fail at them, they’re for sure nothing worth talking about, that’s for sure lol.

dialogues too, tho i came a long way from being reluctant to write them and from not being confident i managed to write them well. as of now i’m actually comfortable writing them and even like writing them, but they still sometimes make me pause and wrestle with them lol, and i know i have a long way to go still when it comes to them.

pacing is also probably one of my writing weaknesses. or i guess more like transitions? but either way sometimes i’m very aware the pacing/transitions of my stories are wonky, and yet i can’t manage to make them any better lol.

17. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

i don’t mind at all. personally i think it’s a nice touch to immerse you more in the story and put you more in the shoes of the characters.

18. What was the first fandom you wrote for?

i can’t say for sure, but either naruto or bleach! i’m pretty sure it’s naruto tho, and then i switched to naruto x bleach crossover fics. i wrote fics with an oc-si as the main protagonist, who was heavily based on ryuzaki sakuno (pot) before evolving into a proper oc, so i guess technically pot is also among the first fandoms i wrote for lol.

(i still have and hold that oc close to my heart btw! she’s just for my daydreams before i fall asleep tho, so i strongly doubt i’ll ever publish anything about her. she feels way too personal for that haha.)

19. What’s a fandom/ship you haven’t written for yet but want to?

i have this one fic for saiki kusuo no psi nan i plan to write eventually, and i even have some vague outline for it, but i can’t think of anything else otherwise.

ahhh, this is such a hard question! i think... hand in hand (blood in between), maybe. i reread it so many times after i first published it, and i was honestly a little obsessed with it at the time haha (still am actually tbh).

Love is... did quite badly, but it’s also among the fics i couldn’t help but reread a lot after i first published it and was a little obsessed with (also still am tbh lol). i really love it a lot and i’m super proud of it, and tho i think it’s the second pov that puts people off from giving it a try, i’d really say it’s that same second pov that really makes the story.

most recently i wrote let someone else stay (oh, please, let him leave too, let him leave too) and, you guessed it, i also reread it a bunch of time after i first published it and was a little obsessed with it haha. love this one a lot too!

I have been tagged by @scifimagpie (ty for tag) so I shall attempt to answer these questions lezzgo

1. What motivates you to write?

The soup brain has too many thoughts & I have to get them out. Also spite because my asshole 8th grade English teacher said my writing assignment was only worth a C (he was the ONLY one btw I got consistently vv high grades before him) & my Chinese immigrant friend got marked down for not being good at English. Fuck you Mr English teacher

2. A line/short snippet of your writing that you are most proud/happy of. If not maybe share a line of someone else's work you love (just please credit them)

“You have been on the throne for less than a year. If someone wants you dead this quickly, something is amiss. I’d like to find out what.”

3. Which OC makes you smile every time you think/talk about them and what are they like?

My boy Red Wolf. He's just...yes. Autistic werewolf puppy. Could definitely kill me without hesitation or talk me to death with weapons knowledge. I would thank him if he punched me.

4. What process of writing do you enjoy the most?

I like not writing.

5. What part of writing do you think you are the best at? (Yes stroke your own ego it's okay)

Worldbuilding, no doubt. I am simultaneously the best and worst at worldbuilding. You want a 2000-word essay on how languages & regional dialects evolved over time? I gotchu covered no problem. Want me to stop elaborating on how Hellhound magic is linked to the moon & actually write my sequels? Absolutely not.

6. What is something in the writeblr community is most enjoyable?

I think the writeblr community is chill. Like y'all are just here for a good time and I can 100% respect that & get behind it. I get to write unhinged answers to these questions & not feel bad about it bc I don't have to self-impose ridiculous societal concepts such as 'maintain a professional image on social media'.

7. A writing tool/device you use that helps you with writing? (It could be speech to text, a writing program etc)

Scrivener? Am I allowed to say Scrivener even though I use at most like 2% of their features. I am the kind of person who if given nothing but a notes app & a two-hour uni class to sit through will hammer out a full chapter in those two hours instead of paying any attention to class. On the other hand if you want me to actually write during my free time I'm sorry I'm too busy procrastinating writing with art & procrastinating art with gaming.

8. A piece of worldbuilding that you like in your own story? (It could be the magic system, a particular place in the story, a law etc)

This is not a wise question to ask me (see: question 5) unless the goal was to make me sit here for ten minutes typing out an entire essay's worth of worldbuilding word vomit, in which case well played. However for the sake of my own free time & sanity:

The legal system in Kies Tor is probably the single greatest thing I've ever constructed & it plays a crucial part in the plot & was built off the early British/European court system as well as my own special interests in law & criminology. In short it's trying its best but it's also deeply fucked up and I love making the fucked up parts fuck up my characters.

9. What piece of advice would you say to encourage others to write if they are having a rough patch?

Don't feel pressured to write. If you're staring at the same thing for weeks/months on end of course it's gonna get stale. Heck this Q&A post is the most I've written in weeks.

OKAY NEW RULE !!! please tell me who the people in the ship are lmaoo (i am not smart enough for this)

anyhow, i assume this is like… james and remus for eclipse and then like… either sirius or regulus? i’m going with regulus tho cause I think there is a general consensus that james x sirius x remus is wolfstarbucks?

okay so!!! james x regulus x remus

so, barring the fact that i generally do not appreciate wolfstar being separated lmao, i don’t necessarily hate this? like tbf i don’t know much about them, it’s not one of my ships and i also don’t think i’ve seen much about them on my own dash (which is fair, I tend to make it so that most people i follow are generally into the same pairings i am).

that being said, i have either direct or second-hand knowledge of the dynamics between these characters in the context of romance, so I’ll just start there ig.

okay, so obviously james with regulus clearly works in my mind in their crazy way that we all know and love. we all know this, no need to go over it again. okay, next!

to be entirely honest with you I personally just don’t really see the whole remus x james thing, but i admit that it could work, because obviously james is definitely someone that can be a source of comfort for remus and also does not get scared of his sharpest edges, while remus clearly sees james for who he is, and i think he’d be able to call him out on a lot of his bullshit in his typical remus lupin way and it would actually be a lot of fun to watch. ((also yes, despite what canon will have you think, remus definitely saw james for who he was, i’d argue that an instance of him talking about james to his son after hE WAS BRUTALLY MURDERED WHILE BASICALLY SAVING THE WIZARDING WORLD is probably not the time he’d launch in an analysis of the complexities of james’ characters)) ((I can talk more about this, please ask me about this, i have a lot of opinions about thisss))

remus x regulus, I have talked about many other times and you can see my in-depth opinion under the same tag i’m using for this ask, but basically i don’t see them in a traditional romantic relationship as i see their bond as very unique and personal, and i feel like mixing that in with the way that james does relationships… idk I feel like it would ruin that a little, but maybe they actually might help james open his mind about how relationships work so it really all depends on how it’s done tbf.

tbh though the main objection I have with this ship is that i don’t like what it can do for remus’ character.

i mean like idk regulus and james both should work in theory with remus because this fandom (and jkr first) has kind of written as being the mirror of two different sides of sirius (i’m not saying this is why people thought of this ship, i’m just pointing out a theme) and to me remus does work particularly well with sirius, but it just… doesn’t for me. i feel like being pulled in the chaos that is the collapse of james and regulus would not be good for remus as he’d end up once again having to pick up the role of the “calm and reasonable” one, whereas he needs someone or more than someone that allows him to collapse and explode as well, exploring both that mischievous side that makes him blend perfectly within the marauders and the more violent side he’s always felt he’s needed to hide away for the benefit of others (lyall and hope specifically). james and regulus singularly might do that for remus, but james and regulus together? they can barely contain the burnt of their own explosion, there’s no way they can absorb the impact of remus and he’d feel that and so he’d keep it inside and that would ultimately not allow him to have the development we (by which i obviously mean me) generally like to see in him.

and i mean. obviously one doesn’t have to only like pairing that are happy and healthy. if you want to write this ship with remus being even more repressed than he’s already without being able to release it with, you know, him growing further and further from accepting that side of him that reminds him way too of his werewolf self… sure you can do that, but tbf i find it way too similar to the way jkr herself has destroyed remus’ character to find anything interesting to be said there.

so yeah it’s not like I hate it, but it’s just a meh. don’t like that. yk?

everytime i see u, u always wrote smthn new. how do u do it?? i’d get so overwhelmed 😭 i can barely even write chapter 1 HAHA

KLJAJKLSDJKASDHJH HONESTLY... when my neurodivergent brain likes something I will spend A LOT of time with that. I love Blue Lock and I love writing so yeah. That's also how sometimes I fill entire sketchbooks in the span of 2 weeks. When I love something, I'll spend every moment possible with it (I do take enough breaks tho!!)

I get very excited about most requests and writing is very fun,, I also love seeing how so many people like to read my stuff!! plus I have lots of free time rn! Although, when I first got requests 3 weeks ago I wrote like 10-12 posts a day. At that time my sleep schedule sucked and I wrote most things at idk 4 or 5 am before school then I wrote more in school and after school. Also during train rides (going to school/back home takes 40-50 minutes.) Basically every chance I got I was writing. By now I went down to 1-5 a day because I don't want to neglect drawing and I don't want the quality of what I write to go down. Also during my first week of getting requests, I wrote so much, my left hand hurt which wasn't good so uHHHh that's a reason why I slowed down.

I have a school break atm, so my schedule is kind of I start writing in noon/early afternoon, post, draw, write a bit more and post or put in my queue. Depends on how much I feel like writing. I could definitely go back to posting 10 fics a day if I wanted to KLJSAJKDSFSDHASF but I don't want to spam the blue lock tags too much anymore

have again encountered (old? maybe defunct?) infighting about which communities belong to which disabled people and which parts of their discourse others are allowed to relate to and who has it worse and blah blah blah

this is all so silly? like, i don’t particularly want able-bodied nd/mentally ill people to use the term cripplepunk either, but that’s because a. the term’s creator didn’t intend it to be used that way and i have some prescriptivist sympathies + kinda miss their posts and want to respect their memory,* and b. when i want to read the words of other physically disabled people i find it a slog to skip past posts about mental illness. even tho i’m also mentally ill!—i just. when i’m in the mood to commiserate about physical disability/chronic illness i get annoyed to see other topics clogging up the tag. in the same way i’d get annoyed if trying to look up content for a fandom that shared its acronym with something else

and i feel like that’s? fine?? like i realize this discursive well is too badly poisoned for that argument to convince anymore—that if i tried to argue that to someone in favor of broadening the term, they’d probably make an eloquent plea about gatekeeping and win the rhetorical contest instantly (unless i, like the people in this and other posts i’ve seen on the topic, were willing to respond with moral arguments of my own)

but that’s what annoys me! i feel like “hey please leave this tag/slogan to us because it’s a convenient way to communicate and we don’t want to lose that by changing/broadening what it means” should be a persuasive argument on its own. andddd frankly it’s one i respect a lot more than all these overwrought guilt trips about how physical disability is importantly different or who gets to reclaim a slur** &/or c. and like………. i don’t keep up w/ this discourse so idk to what extent the dispute continues now, and if most people consider it a settled issue then i don’t know who “won,” but

i do suspect that in the long term, spaces originally populated only by physically disabled voices will be ~infiltrated~ by mentally ill ones and i’ll have to scroll through more posts about anxiety and autism while in search of that precious resource the chronic pain meme.

and i find this mildly disappointing. but no worse. and like—i know many people will/would find that very upsetting! i know that! but i don’t think that was inevitable. like: i feel like if you are a partisan of either side in this debate and are/were very upset about it then……. that’s valid, but only because the discourse got so heated. and i think it’s fucking silly that it did

*their original post outlining the rules, where they explicitly stated that they wanted only physically disabled people to ID with cpunk—that post is what, seven years old now? which for tumblr is an impressive heritage. i can’t shake my intuition that it’s rude to expect this tradition to make room for you while disobeying its number-one rule. but also, i don’t think it would strike me this way if the person who wrote those rules were still alive and could be argued with. somehow the fact that they’ve died and the community they left behind maintains these rules in their honor makes the idea of flouting them while cloaking yourself in the movement’s name seem ickier to me, even though logically i would argue that the “respect for the dead” element makes the rule more arbitrary? idk. i guess i get the feeling that people who want to identify w/ it see it as like a political coalition they shouldn’t be gatekept out of, but,,,,,, to me it has never looked like that? it looks more analogous to a small insular community, or an art movement, or a hobby group. an entity that doesn’t owe shit to outsiders because dissenters can easily make their own group instead.

**i’ve never been called a cripple, lmao. only in media have i ever seen this word used in its original sense—viz., as a noun for a disabled person. in my daily life i encounter only the verb, and only hear it used metaphorically (“with this venture they’ve crippled their chances of success,” and similar). the word to me signifies only “edgy self-deprecating thing to call myself when i want to signal that i’m annoyed about ableism”—and i doubt that’s rare. like, yeah, i too get kind of annoyed by the prospect of an able-bodied ND person calling themselves a cripple, but… mostly because it just sounds silly? like a rail-thin bespectacled college boy trying to reclaim “himbo,” or a lumberjack trying to reclaim “metrosexual.” it doesn’t feel more personal to me than those examples would, and if it does to other disabled people then……… ok, but is that because you actually endure being called a cripple on a regular basis or just because you enjoy getting to use this word as a symbol of the ableist judgments you used to fear but are learning to embrace? because if it’s the latter then. the fact your legs don’t work right doesn’t make this a less arbitrary word choice for you than it would a mentally ill/physically abled person. there is no moral high ground here imo because it’s not a moral question, it’s about convenience of communication

okay i haven’t really been Talking about it here bc all of my word vomit is on twitter (or towards my poor friends who probably deserve a Break) which really it shouldn’t be i do NOT want to become a fandom twitter but that stupid algorithm...... i need to get off anyways

i’ve had so many thoughts about this season - both good and bad - and i could go into a whole thing here and that’s the point to this blog but i ALSO know lots of people are so over hearing about this show (and tho, tbf towards myself, i am a star wars blog and that’s already tragic and embarrassing on its own LMAO) so idk. I’ve just felt weird.

I also suppose I feel weird about people’s reactions to people who enjoy the show? Like it’s this whole “well, what did you expect, idiot?” which is just. Not necessary. Like, for myself, I went in knowing something would bother me bc that’s been a constant for all the seasons and it became so uncomfortable and upsetting and worst in s3 (I will never forgive the absolute assassination of Hopper’s character). So personally I went in not being as hyped for this show as for Kenobi, but then I watched the first 8 minutes preview and it got me excited as it felt like we were going back thematically to the mystery-horror shit of the first season, which is exactly what I wanted.

And honestly tbf I am surprised that for some reason my brain has grabbed onto this show so much bc like. Kenobi’s right there. Giving me all I ever wanted. And there was only one episode that really bothered me, so? Whatever. Not the point.

But yes, I did get attached to the new character who I knew from the beginning would be offed. And so I was unsurprised it happened. But honestly seeing the reaction of people going “It’s a bad show with bad history, what did you expect?” to people is just. Mean? Yes, there’s a lot of bad but some really amazing things too, and in this day and age where a lot of media is disappointing, do we really need to kick people for trying to enjoy something? lmao

So like. I feel odd bc I knew going in there’d be disappointment (super surprised and glad there was still a lot I enjoyed) so I didn’t expect a lot, but like. Does that mean I should be rude to people who are really upset by things? No. And we have to remember not everyone consuming media is a millennial and that some people are attached to it for a variety of reasons, including growing up with it. (Nvm all the queer people with genuine reason to be interested in it.)

And yeah, like I said, I knew I’d be bothered by something. The fact that that something also happens to be caused by something I knew was going to happen seems silly, and Yet. That doesn’t make a difference? Feelings don’t care about shit like that, and yeah, originally bc I expected it I wasn’t as bothered - like I cried a lot for this season - but actually. Now I’m more bothered as time went on bc I feel like, once again, a story did a character (many characters tbh, don’t talk to me about how annoyed I am with what they did to my other blorbo) dirty, and poorly. And it feels weird bc I have this knowledge of “what did you expect” which is. Yeah, I did expect it, doesn’t change anything? Still feel upset, like genuinely upset now.

It sucks to have creators who do things that feel unnecessary or even mean-spirited towards something you enjoy, esp something important to you (whether you want it to be or not), but it’s also kind of really crappy that, just bc someone isn’t enjoying the media and thus is like “Well, it’s been bad this whole time!” that they’re comfortable just. Being kinda rude. Like yeah, we know. And I get it’s just a joke and yes, it’s fair, but also just. Kinda crappy. There are blacklists and block buttons and muting you can do y’all. idk

I woke up in a weird funk I suppose. Also I feel bad for become an ST blog rn, I’m sure my brain will latch onto something else in time. Like always, I tag everything so, you know. Use the blacklist lmao

So on the rare occasions I have the time and inclination to read fanfics, it’ll usually be by someone I trust? If that makes sense 😭 If I’m reading to relax, I want to know the writing will be good and the story will be enjoyable, so I’ll stick to people I trust for that. But if I have time and I’m interested in having a nose about, I’ll usually be more interested in female characters rather than the male ones (since, well, you know👩‍❤️‍💋‍👩🤭) I’ll also read some female character x female character fics instead of x reader from time to time if I can’t find anything new, but I struggle to find those too 🫠

Girl I’m with you there, I have no idea about proper tags 🫠 I only recently (this week) found out apparently there’s a happy ever after tag? So people I guess can settle into a fic knowing the ending?

Anyway, I guess gwynlain? If I came across a fic with that pair I’d probably give it a go, but it’s not often my interests go in that direction :) though I’ll stay away from male x male character fics since they just rub me the wrong way for personal reasons—as a general rule :)

shadow dragon progress (and 3H)

I started typing this in the tags for my doodle post but then wrote too much as per usual so here it is

yeah going into shadow dragon I didn’t have any idea who I’d end up using most. I always gravitate towards magic users, and I rarely end up using axe mains, not sure why. so yeah going in I figured my mains would be navarre and linde, and that minerva and tiki would high powered units I’d use out of necessity. and I was SUPER looking forward to using Xane since his gimmick is unique.

What’s actually happened is Lena promoted early through staff spamming, and then Abel is an absolute beast. I don’t remember why I initially favored him over Cain but it spiraled out of control and now since he nearly single-handedly cleared Michalis’s map he’s like promoted level 18. I tried that map more times than any other, and anyone else I let take multiple hits ended up dying. I parked Abel in the woods and loaded him up with javelins, and he dodged most of the long-range magic and just went to town on the wyvern riders and cavaliers. I did use a couple physics but honestly not a bad use of them.

My other good units are promoted Merric, Minerva, and promtoed Caeda in a pinch. I promoted Navarre but honestly he gets hit too easily and he’s still too frail. Maria’s promoted as well but I still mainly user her for healing, but that’s still super useful.

And I’m not using Xane! :( idk I just didn’t get into it, I don’t like that you have to pick weapons for him to have if he’s going to transform, and I frankly didn’t look up how long he stays transformed so I get nervous about him turning back. I really miss having a dancer, I love strategic layer that that adds and dancers are usually one of if not my top favorite units.

I’ve been trying to train Gordin up since the start for god knows what reason, he’s like level 17 now and I could promote him now but eh. waste of master seal unless he’s 20. I also usually deploy Jeorge now as well but I rarely use either. Don’t really use the whitewings even tho I always deploy them, I wanted to train up Est but it’s so hard for her to even do damage to enemies, setting up kills is a bitch.

Haven’t used Tiki at all, I don’t know how you’re meant to distribute dragonstone uses and idk if hammerne works on it but even it does it’s too much of a pain to figure out so. no Tiki. idk if I’ll regret that later but.

Marth is decent. He’s level 20 now so I’ve stopped letting him fight most times but he’s pretty good at getting people out of scrapes if he’s near enough to help.

so yeah that’s shadow dragon rn, it’s a really solid fe game! reminds me a lot of the gba games. maybe some time I’ll go back and play the FE3 incarnation...but I’m a ways off from that. I have so many priorities before that:

I got up to the last chapter of Sacred Stones and abandoned it for so long that when I came back I started over, and I think something may have happened to that file as well...we’ll see.

Really want to get the data transfer from PoR to RD to work, so I’ll probably scuttle the run of RD I had going. oh and I’d have to complete a new PoR file because the old one couldn’t transfer for reasons.

I can’t remember if I even finished a Fates Conquest playthrough, but if I did it was definitely on Phoenix mode, idk I had very little patience with the 3DS games for some reason. I don’t remember if I finished a Birthright route either but if I didn’t that would’ve been out of boredom. I did finish Revelations.

and speaking of the 3DS I never finished Echoes lol. idk I’m cursed.

...but on that note! I’m on the second to last chapter of my hard mode Azure Moon run! :D It’s been super smooth sailing esp now that most of my units are flying, but I’m still happy I’ve been able to get to this point. My lunatic Verdant Wind has stalled out, I’m stuck on the Gautier Inheritance :( I was doing pretty well but I haven’t been able to deal with the waves of enemies...honestly kind of like the Knight-Filled Sky chapter I just beat, but I don’t have an Abel to tank everything for me. Byleth is my tankiest character and even she can’t deal with all of them, nobody else really stands a chance. idk if warping her up to fight Miklan after most of the reinforcements had left would work, probably not tho, but I think it’s a moot point bcs I don’t think Lysithea has warp yet.

...but anyway I’ll be happy to finish that a hard mode run for sure (since I can’t remember if I beat a hard mode verdant wind before), and I’m DETERMINED to actually FINISH this shadow dragon playthrough.
