Decoding The Russian Message From Season 3.

These are my thoughts of what each line of the season 3 Russian code could mean, season 4 wise. Here's the message: "The week is long. The silver cat feeds when blue meets yellow in the west. A trip to China sounds nice, if you tread lightly."

The week is long:

This line is all about Vecna and his obsession with time. The crazy thing is, Mike went to California for a WEEK. The week was long because it took a whole season, but also because so much happened.

The silver cat feeds:

Vecna is the silver cat who feeds off of fear. 

When blue meets yellow in the west:

Mike (who has blue symbolism) meet Will (who has yellow symbolism) in The West (California).

A trip to China sounds nice:

This line is about Joyce and Murray going to Russia but telling the children it’s a business trip, as that sounds nicer than taking back a hostage.

If you tread lightly:

This can either be about how you have to be careful in Russia, or about how you cannot step on the vines in the Upside Down, as there is a hivemind that will alert Vecna, so you must tread lightly.

Rewritten more literally:

The week will feel very long. Vecna feeds when Mike goes to see Will in California. A business trip sounds nicer than taking back a hostage, but be careful where you stand.
