The idea of satoru being such a clingy and attentive father, who slowly can’t see his kid as much due to the higher ups wanting him to work more often and as time goes by the only time he sees his kid is when he’s teaching his students, including them. And the kid is a young teen, they’re mad at him, of course they are. Because in their eyes, he’s a good jujutsu sorcerer, but not a good father.

He still tries to make time for them, but it’s significantly less compared to when he first started raising them and of course they’re bitter.

So when their dad gets sealed away, they worry. But the anger for him is still there. And when people they care about die, they blame their father for not being there.

He’s the strongest, except when it matters the most, it seems.

And then he’s back, like none of it ever even happened. There’s no cute little reunion between them and satoru. Because satoru learned he cannot be vulnerable or it ends in somebody he cares about dying, and they learnt the same thing from him, that vulnerability is not an option, without him even knowing, nor wanting them to learn that from him.

And then, they assume everything will be fine, so they continue to be mad at him.

But they see their father die right in front of them, the cause of it being the king of curses, the very thing your father said he would win against.

Instead of regret, all they feel is more anger towards him.
