Every year my city holds a huge fall festival for an entire week and it’s absolutely huge and I went for the first time in years yesterday evening, so:

Rides HDLW would like at Fall Festival:

Huey- Swinger. Likes the feeling of wind in his face but not going super fast or upside down.

Dewey- Ring of Fire. “It’s terrifying, what more could a duck want?”

Louie- Giant Wheel. “It’s not terrifying, what more could a duck want? (Also, the view is great for social media.)”

Webby- Supernova 360. Loves spinning rides and rides that go upside down. This does both simultaneously.

Food HDLW would like at Fall Festival:

Huey- Corn Dog. “It’s a carnival, you can’t just not get a corn dog. They’re carnival classics.”

Dewey- Donut Burger. Likes the weird foods, but not quite to Webby’s level.

Louie- Loaded Tater Tots. Prefers tamer food than Dewey and Webby, but not something you could just buy in a box from the grocery store either.

Webby- Brain Sandwich. “It’s gross, which means it’s cool.”

Desserts HDLW would like at Fall Festival:

Huey- Chocolate Covered Strawberries. Banned from the particularly sugary things so he doesn’t get a sugar rush in the middle of a crowded carnival.

Dewey- Deep Fried Cinnamon Rolls. “Literally how can you smell that and not want to eat it?”

Louie & Webby- They buy a funnel cake and an elephant ear, then split them both. “Because sugar.”

Not feeling great. Left the vet with Vigo. Heart murmur is at 5/6. He’s gonna be on 2 meds. Hearts enlarged, not a lot of fluid in his lungs atm. The meds should help his heart not work so hard.

The vet said to give him a chance and see bc he’s still eager to eat, drink, walk (though I can’t do that with him anymore not to strain his heart which makes me sad), etc. I’m nervous bc I’ll be away next week. I’ll try to have him see the cardiologist in a month but may have to take him in to the emergency vet sooner.

Frankly I don’t wanna fight it if it gets to that point. I have nothing else I can give. I can't gamble w/ his qualify of life either. I’ll monitor him for this week and see what to do. Vet will call me abt his labs tmrw.

Told my boss that NO I cannot take over customer phone calls because my anxiety will literally not be able to take it. And I’m being SO brave about it,

I’m in bed hyperventilating bc no I CANNOT do this #My mental health has already been Bad for the past few months bc I’m already working overtime for this job #And now to take on the One thing I generally get anxious about? Bro. It’s gonna kill me. 100% no exaggeration #So I called my boss this morning and was like hi I’m so sorry I said I would but I actually can’t. I deadass had an anxiety attack #just THINKING about it last night #And she was like omg no I get it. I have anxiety too I know what it’s like. It’s debilitating sometimes #So she said I didn’t have to do the phone calls and now I’m like YIPPEE #And she said hey that was a really brave thing to do. Speaking up like that and making it clear when you’re not comfortable with something #Me still shaking and holding back tears: Thank you I’m being SO brave about this rn #Anyway I’m still coming down from the near panic attack I had before I called her to tell her lmao #It’s been a rough 24 hours.
